Tourmaster Solution 2.0 BootsHey guys, this is Reuben with Competition Accessories. Welcome to our review of the Tourmaster Solution 2.0. Now the solution 2.0 and the original Tourmaster Solution boots have been some of the most popular waterproof boot styles that we have sold here at Competition Accessories. Now the Tourmaster Solution 2.0 has been out for a little while now and weve had a chance to really put it through its paces, try it on, see how it fits, how it feels, how long it lasts, and we have been really impressed. Weve got tons of customer reviews on our website if you want to jump on there at the end of this video and read some customer feedback on them. The best thing about them is the price. These are not going to break the bank. They retail for 119 bucks and we sell them for under 110 so you can jump on there and see what our current price is but theyre a really, really valuable boot for the money. Im definitely very impressed. The other thing thats really attractive about the Solution 2.0 is its going to work for such a huge variety of riders whether youre a commuter thats on the bike everyday, or if your planning a longer trip where you dont know what kind of weather your going to encounter the Solution 2.0 is going to work just great. Even this style of boot can work well for a sport bike guy if your not looking for the ultimate protection and not going to the track all the time the Solution 2.0 is great option for you guys in that segment also. One thing that I really like about it, obviously, is it has a built in HiPora Membrane, which is going to be waterproof, thats the key feature for it. I will open the boot up here you will see that there is a Velcro flap thats going to cover the main zipper. There is Velcro on the end of the zipper as well which helps hold the zipper pull up in place. And then you see that internal waterproof membrane this gusset underneath the zipper here extends pretty much all the way to the top of the boot. What that does for you is its going to prevent water from coming in behind the zipper here and even if you were to ride through some big puddles where water is washing up over your feet, as long as water doesnt get over the top of the boot and run down inside these are going to do a great job of keeping your feet dry. Now HiPora has some really neat properties to it. It not only keeps the water out, its also a very breathable material, so for those warmer days when your feet might be getting a little hotter, it does a fairly good job of breathing and allowing your foot to breath so its not super hot. Now I will say any waterproof boot, if its 90 degrees out and middle of summer, your feet are probably going to get a little toasty in them. But the flip side of that is if you do get caught in the rain theyre going to keep your feet nice and dry and in cold weather obviously it helps block a bit more wind and keep your feet nice and warm inside the boot. The inside is lined with a nice soft material they do have what they call their Techno GI thermoplastic heel cup and toecap. So you have a heel cup around the back here thats inside the boot for support and protection. The toe box is reinforced as well, thats going to keep it nice and comfortable when shifting but also add some protection as well if you were to go down, tumble and hit the front of your foot on something thats going to help reinforce that area and keep you comfortable. Some built in armor over the anklebone, thats there not only for impact protection but also for abrasion resistance. Obviously leather does a good job but if you were to go down, your foot is underneath your bike its going to help prevent any wear or damage to your ankle and your foot inside the boot. On the sole of the boot you have some nice tread design. I really like the sole of the solution 2s cause theyre really comfortable off the bike also, so if youre like me and ride some events whether its bike night or some kind of open house or charity fund-raiser type of event or your riding somewhere then your off the bike walking around for hours, you know the last thing you need is a really stiff uncomfortable boot thats really hurting your feet all day long. So these boots are going to give you really sure footing but they are also fairly flexible so you can walk around in comfort. The foot bed that they use inside these is orthopedic, has some arch support in it, and it also absorbs vibration so if your bike has a little bit of buzz in the foot pegs or anything these are going to help absorb that as well. If you want to look down here at my foot, I actually have one of the Solution 2s on my foot and you can see what it looks like with jeans on. Very comfortable boot, as far as sizing goes, I pretty much always wear a size 10 or a 44. No different with the Solution 2. They are just right, I would say if you are kind of in between sizes especially if you have a slightly wider foot you probably want to go up a size. But I typically take a size 10 sometimes I have to go up a size 10.5 in tennis shoes depending on the width but on these particular ones I find that I can wear the size 10 and they fit just right so very comfortable as far as flexibility goes. You can walk around as I mentioned all day long in comfort in the Solution 2.0 and again you cant beat that price for under 120 bucks youre getting a fully featured waterproof motorcycle boot. So check out these Solution 2.0s from Tourmaster on our website, at competitionaccessories.com and dont forget most of your orders here at competition accessories are going to ship for free and you can earn up to 5% comp-a-cash back to use toward future purchases. Information and Details about the Tourmaster Transition 3 Mens Waterproof Motorcycle Jackets
made by Tour Master
The Tourmaster Transition 3 is a waterproof, textile jacket perfect for the touring or commuting rider that needs to stay comfortable and protected in a variety of weather conditions. As a bonus, the Tourmaster Transition 3 is offered at a very competitive price for its features.

As a full length jacket, which means the jacket goes down past the waistline, the Transition 3 is overall a larger and bulkier jacket then what you would find in something more sporty. The advantages of the larger design are more storage space and more coverage, which results in a warmer, drier ride. The Transition 3 has a Rainguard barrier, which is a built in waterproof liner that cannot be removed. The advantages to this type of system is it is generally warmer and usually does a better job at actually keeping water out. Since it's another piece of fabric inside the jacket, it tends to do a good job both blocking wind and aiding insulation. The downside is the outer shell of the jacket will soak up some water, making the jacket heavy and taking a long time to dry out. This internal liner also reduces the effectiveness of the vents of the jacket, since it will block incoming air. That is true for the vents on the Transition 3, with the exception of the shoulder vents. These use Tourmasters Pipeline ventilation system, which funnels air through tunnels built into the rain liner. This dramatically increases the amount of air actually felt inside the jacket, and makes the jacket more comfortable on warmer days. To combat water in this vulnerable area, Tourmaster uses waterproof zippers and storm flaps over the shoulder vents.

Cold weather is where the Transition 3 really excels. Tourmaster includes their Zip Out Quilted liner, which provides ample insulation for cold weather rides. For extreme cold, consider adding a Tourmaster Synergy heated jacket liner, which would be an unstoppable combination in cold weather. Even without the heated liner, the Transition 3 is very comfortable down into colder temperatures. The fit is generous enough to allow for some additional layering, without feeling too baggy or loose. Adjustment straps on the jacket allow for some customization of the fit, so you can tighten things up when you pull out the quilted liner for summer, or if you manage to lose some weight. Of course we all know a good meal is an essential part of any good motorcycle ride, so if you need to loosen the jacket up a bit you can do that, too.

Lastly, the Tourmaster Transition 3 is highly visible, even in all black. This is thanks to the generous amount of reflective material used across the shoulders, chest, arms, waist, and back. Chose the high viz color option for and even more conspicuous look.

The Tourmaster Transition 3 is loaded with features, and we think you'll be hard pressed to find another jacket with this level of quality and comfort in this price range. If you are an all weather rider, whether it's commuting, touring, or just plain getting out for a ride, the Transition 3 will serve you well.

    Our Thoughts
The Tourmaster Transition 3 Jacket holds some great key elements that you look for in a motorcycle jacket. For safety sakes its got your CE- approved armor in the spots that you need it most, and reflective areas for more visibility at night time. Lets talk weather protection. It has Rainguard to keep you dry on the raining travel days, and if the day happens to be on the colder side you have the zip out quilted liner to keep you warm. The ventilation system helps you with climate control making the Tourmaster Transition 3 a great multi season jacket choice.

    Sizing Help
We recommend you buy the size you normally buy for men’s clothing unless you are going to wear this jacket in cold enough weather where you would need a thicker layer or a heated liner. These jackets are also available in tall sizes. The sleeve length and torso length of a tall is about 1 1/2” longer than the regular size.

Pros: Attractive, fits well, high quality, great value
Cons: Pockets use Velcro to close instead of zippers, watch the sizing

I had an older Transition 2 I wanted to replace because after 6 years of hard use it was beginning to show its age. I looked at the new Transition 4 but thought the styling was not me and did not like the price. The Transition 3 is an excellent solution. The Transition 2 that I have gave me great service, and truly was a three season Jacket I live in NY and do manage to ride all twelve months but admit it is difficult to find good days in the winter. I used the old one in rain, it did keep me fairly dry even in some pretty bad storms that lasted several hours. It was really only too hot from mid-July to mid-August when it is very humid and temps can exceed 95 degrees F here at that time. I use a mesh jacket then. So the Transition 3 is every bit as well-made as the 2 was, and it is now new. They did change the pockets to Velcro, and where as a small fits me still does on the 2, I needed a medium in the 3 to be comfortable. My chest size is 42 and I have a 32waist., stand 5'6 tall with a 29 inseam and weigh about 160. One other difference between the two and the 3 is the 3 has better reflection - more piping, etc. Also the color is just panels in the front, with black elsewhere, where as the older one has a complete body that is one color with only black trim.Anyway, the Transition Three is an excellent product that should give you at least five good years of hard use, will keep you warm or cool under most conditions as needed, and is fairly waterproof and comfortable with good storage. I would recommend it and am pleased with this purchase.Ride safeSteve

Excellent coat - Robotman28   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Protection, warm, comfortable, lots of pockets
Cons: Zipper can be difficult at times

This is my second transition jacket. These are a great value and a quality product. I ride down to 35 degrees with just a pullover underneath. At those temps, the neck and head are the big concerns. The jacket seals up good around the neck so a balaclava tucks in and stays. I have ridden in downpour rain and stayed dry in this coat as well. With the liner out, you can use it on summer mornings when it is cool. If you open all the vents and ride at highway speeds you can wear it in 90 degree heat. Go too slow though and you will roast. I think of it as a fall, winter, spring coat and wear lighter stuff when it is truly hot out. Good the cuff closures seal up great, the front zipper pocket is great for your phone, the armor in the arms is in the right place, the sleeve clinches hold the sleeves just right. Cons the Velcro seals are constantly getting stuck on everything, you have to unseal and re-seal them to get them lined up. The main zipper on my coat is sometimes hard to get started, you have to pull down hard on the two halves and then engage and pull up. Some days it is a pain to get it zipped up. You do develop a knack for it after practice. The Velcro neck seal strap could be an inch longer for when you have a balaclava tucked in. Just would make easier. All in all though, I recommend this coat for people who want good protection and comfort at a great price point. Compacc rules for service as always

Good Cold Weather Jacket - Jonathan   UT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, Features, Cold Weather Gear
    Cons: Plastic Zippers

I have ridden daily, including weekend trips on the interstate, for the past month. I purchased the coat to replace my mesh jacket with a zip-in liner. As the early mornings and evenings turned colder, I needed a warmer jacket. This jacket fits the bill for me. I have made short commutes to work in the 30's and long weekend rides in the 40's at mostly 80 mph on the interstate. In both situations, my core remained comfortable and warm my gloves are another matter. I enjoy riding on a naked new Valkyrie on the interstate or at times on my Nomad bagger. In either case, the jacket remains windproof and warm with proper layering. My only complaint are the plastic zippers. The first zipper broke on the third day I wore the jacket but, half remains so the zipper remains functional without gloves. I never understand why a higher end jacket, or any jacket, uses plastic zippers. Do metal zippers meaningfully escalate the price point of a jacket so it is no longer affordable I am 6'2 and 225 lbs and the 2xl fits well. I believe the sizing is consistent as my other jackets, textile and leather, are a size 2xl. I recommend this jacket.

First let me say this was my first time ordering from compatission accessories and it want be the last they had the best price, bet all the competition by on error 50.00 and fast shipping, I ordered my jacket on Wednesday night and it was here on Friday. I ordered a medium based on tour master website size chart, it's a very snug fit not a lot of room for layer. But you may not need layers with this jacket, I put the jacket on with no shirt at all it was 60 degree out and rainy, I road 40 minutes and with the liner in and the vents closed and I was burning up. It does some up water but just spray it with some hydro - lock or good water proof spray and you're good to go. Thank you compatission accessories

Tourmaster Transition 3 - Rommel   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: great price, comfortable, durable , warm, lots of pockets
    Cons: none so far

I bought this to be used during cold days riding around and commuting in the San Francisco Bay area. When temperature dips down to mid 30's in the morning it kept me warm enough with just a t-shirt underneath. Used it when it was raining and kept me dry. The warmest it has gotten here so far was 70's. It's a ok with the liners with all the vents open. I'll test it more when it gets really warm. Size wise it's true to size. I wear a 44 and I bought a size large. plenty of straps which was great for fine adjustment and l like the numerous pocket.

Cons: Two way zipper can be challenging at times

I've had this jacket for 10 months now and love it, great ventilation, warm with included liner, keeps you dry in light rain, I have not tried it in heavy rain yet. I like enough that I am considering ordering a second in different color.

    Best jacket I've ever had

Great jacket - robotman28   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warm, close fitting, ventilation, zipper seals are great
Cons: main zipper is stiff when new

I have been riding in the early spring weather in PA with this jacket. I had the previous model of the jacket some years ago and loved it. This model fits the arms better and is just as air tight. The collar on these is also really nice, makes a good seal around the neck without chafe. I have not ridden in rain but the last one worked pretty well for wet riding. I had a Harley Electra Glide when I was using the previous model Tourmaster Transition. Now I am riding a Triumph Sprint ST which is more of a sport touring bike. I am in the wind a lot more on this bike and the jacket really works. I unzipped two of the front vents on the jacket on one ride and had to stop immediately and zip them back up because I was freezing They will be great in the summer. I was riding in 45 degree weather that day. I bought an extra large tall and it fits just right with the liner in. I am 6'-2 and 250# with a big gut. On the bike while riding it is loose enough to be comfortable but not flap at all. Well worth the money in my opinion.

Transition 3 - Jim D   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Great features
Cons: Sizes run small, size up if unsure

Great all around touring jacket, lots of features and enough pockets to loose stuff. Hi vis yellow is bright enough to be seen but also has enough black not to be obnoxious. A good value from Tourmaster.

transition 3 - seabeerider   MS Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: light weight, great protection, very warm, tons of vents, great build quality
Cons: no rain hood, no zipper expansion at cuffs.

First and for most i would like to thank COMPACC, originally had purchased the sliders quest 4 jacket but due to a manufacturer defect had to return the jacket. COMPACC contacted me immediately upon receipt of my jacket to inform me they did not have any more of my size and would not be receiving any more. They offered the transition to me as a replacement, thank you for your great customer service I have been using this jacket for 2 months now in a variety of weather from mid thirties to high seventies. The jacket has preformed flawlessly. Right out of the box i noticed the jacket to be substantially lighter than the quest, and assorted to have a little more build quality. Size was true to fit. So far this jacket has offered, and preformed as advertised Will be able to provide a follow up after a few more month's. So far so good awesome product would recommend to all

Transition 3 Jacket - CarlsbadFabian   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great fit. Nice and Warm.
Cons: A little cold air still gets in by way of the zippervelcrow

Great Jacket, I have long arms 180# 5'11 so I went with the X-Large Tall. On cold times going up or down 101, I can feel the cold through the front Zipper. Not that much of a big deal.2 months. No signs of wearI Ride every day.

Great Jacket - Jrmeehan   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great quilted lining, rode with the outside temp at 25 to work on the interstate, body did not get cold at all. Lots of Velcro in the right places, great visibility
Cons: Two way zipper is tough sometimes, but I'm just being picky

Great overall jacket. I hope I like it as much without the quilted liner next Spring.

me likey - Weasel   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: fit, construction, function
    Cons: none

Much better than what I was expecting. It will be interesting to see how warm it can get and still remain comfortable. I like it more than jackets I have paid more than twice as much for.

Good Jacket for the money - Mazz   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good visability HiViz Model Lots of pockets, descently warm.
Cons: Not really waterproof, kind of short if you have a long torso.

I bought this jacket Three years ago. I like to wait on a review to give a good opinion on it. The jacket is hiviz which I like in the rain and fog, however do not buy it expecting caggers to see you, they just don't no matter what you do. I have worn this jacket in every weather condition imaginable. It is water resistant for about 20 minutes at 60 miles an hour, then all the zippers that are great in the summer start to suck. Lets be honest though you can have great waterproofing or great ventilation not both. The jacket with liner is warm until about 30 F below that I would recommend a first gear winter suit any ways. The summer is when this jacket really shines as it has so many zippers it feels like you are in a tshirt in the hot climate and with out the sunburn. The pockets are huge and glove friendly, it is comfortable and holds up well in a 30mph low side. All in all if you are looking for a basic introductory jacket with armor I would Highly recommend it.

Transition III Vs Transition II - Bob   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes

    Cons: doesn't feel as warm.

Missing the Handwarmer pockets of the Transition II and does not feel as warm

Tourmaster 3 - lagwrider   LA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Keeps out the elements
    Cons: Dual pull zipper.

I should have ordered a 2x instead of the xtra large. This jacket fits snug but I guess it is designed that way to keep out the cold and rain. In 40 degree weather here in Louisiana on a damp morning I did not feel any discomfort. No cold damp air got through to my body.I feel the weak link in this jacket is the dual pull zipper.

Excellent except... - H in Virginia   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warm, heavy, good fit, reflective
    Cons: wrist closure, neck closure

This is an excellent jacket. I have used it in 33 degrees and it has kept me warm. I am not sure I would use it below 30. Rode in rain and it held up nicely, wasn't a downpour but still a steady rain. Only complaint is along one sleeve, the velcro faster will not close. Factory sewed in two hooks and no latch. I didn't notice this until much later after purchase.

Good product at a great price - Bunky   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good product at a great price
Cons: Not quite as nice as my old Transition 2 jacket

I bought the Transition 3 jacket to replace my aging Transition 2. It's OK but I like the Transition 2 better. The Transition 2 has zippered pockets the Transition 3 does not and I like the neck closure on the Transition 2 better. But the closeout price on the Transition 3 couldn't be beat.

looks good too - JD   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good fit., looks good on.
Cons: no zippers on cargo pocket like trans 2

A very good choice. Large pocket you can use with gloves on. Very good ventilation, more than my previous trans 2 that I used so much I wore it out about 60,000 miles worth. Tried saving money buying a cheaper jacket, just didn't like it, small pockets, ruff liner, not as comfortable, sent it to the closet. glad I have the tourmaster back.

Jacket - Steve   AZ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Quality, look, feel of inner liner. Contour of jacket. Very warm. Used it while snowmobiling and was very warm
Cons: Neck area seems a little tight. Would like a longer Velcro strap on neck area for sure.

If your not sure of the sizing, go up a size. I went with XL because I was between two sizes and I'm glad I went bigger. The waist straps take up a good portion of extra jacket material that you may have. Also wished the neck area was bigger. The Velcro strap for it is short in my opinion. Needs to be longer for people with thick necks. Very glad I bought this jacket. Very comfortable and warm. The price was great for the quality jacket you get. Well worth the money.

The ordered jackets fit just right according to the sizing chart, and quality is good for the price point it's not a 600 dollar jacket some of the sewing was not perfect but the service from Competition Accessories was outstanding I would order again.

Transition 3 Jacket - SemperAdv   CO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Stell well made for the price, more vents than previous, eliminated snaps on lower pockets, added back pouch
Cons: Cut smaller than older version.

This is my third Tourmaster Transition 1 for wife, 2 for me. Several improvements to the venting. Replaced collar snap with velcro. Luckily I lost 20 pounds since I bought the Transition 1 or this one would have been too small 6' 1, 195 lbs now. Large Tall is a perfect fit with the liner installed - not sure I can get my heated vest under it.I had my last one for 5 years before is started fading and I broke the zipper pull. Great jacket for riding in cold and cool weather.

Good results with Transition 2 - SugarHillCTD   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good at varied temperatures, good in lighter wet conditions
Cons: Velcro could be longer lasting

For the price, a really good jacket. I used mine as my only jacket for 4 years and it has held up pretty well. Wife had to replace my collar velcro last year and now the cuff velcro is getting weak. But no other material problems so far. Cuff material has just started to fray slightly.Wife's identical jacket still looks great- but she logs many less miles than I do- she is a passenger only.In the time we have had these jackets, we only had part of one single day where they were too hot- and it was over 100F. Lining out and vents open normally keeps us cool, and we always ride ATGATT OK, probably 99 of the time.I am buying the Transition 3.

Overall, pretty good - saabguy85   UT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: good ventilation, along with good wind-stopping, waterproof in light rain.
Cons: VERY snug fit, no room for another layer beyond the quilted liner.

The good for the price, a very well made piece of riding gear. Took it out today in not-very-warm weather. Ventilation seems adequate, no cold spots like with a full mesh jacket. It does seem to balloon and flutter, as though, with all 4 vents open at freeway speed, the exhaust vent can't handle the incoming air, and you can feel the bike reacting to that. BUT, and it's a large but, it is cut very snug. Someone needs to tell Tourmaster that a 46 Tall is NOT a 46. I've never worn anything larger than a 44, but with the quilted liner in I'd be hard-pressed to fit even a very light down jacket under this coat. So, not really 4 seasons, but very adequate for 3 season use.

As Advertised - Sandmann   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Kept me dry in the rain, kept me warm when it got to 42 degrees, kept me well ventilated in the heat
Cons: The black portion of the sleeve faded from the sun. Not sure if this is normal wear

First riding jacket I've owned. In fact my wife and I both have this jacket which we were using for a cross country trip this summer. I was concerned about them being to hot, after I figured out where all the vents were there was a lot of air moving through you at highway speed. We got as cool as 42 degrees and even without the liner I was warm enough to stay comfortable. We never had an all day rain to go through, but the 4-5 hr rains we rode through we stayed dry, including the pockets. The black areas on the sleeves faded from the sun,not sure if thats normal. Overall both jackets performed well and I would buy them again and recommend them to anyone needing a complete jacket system and doesn't want to pay a lot more than the price of this jacket. The only reason I gave it a 4 star and not a 5 star is because of the fading on the sleeve. Some people may not like that.

Sizing and quality issues - Bob Landry   UT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Does what it's supposed to do, within limits
    Cons: Some quality issues

Someone should tell Tourmaster's producers that an XL Tall size should actually BE an XL Tall size. The cut is so tight, that adding another layer under the quilted liner would be difficult if not impossible, and I'm talking about something relatively compressible like a down vest or even a sweatshirt. The sleeves are cut so tightly that the adjustment straps on my fairly skinny arms are totally unnecessary, even without the quilted liner, when wearing just a sweatshirt. Also, for some reason, the jacket billows out in the back with or without the vents being open, at freeway speeds. This is so forceful that, the first time it happened, it affected the handling of the bike. Now I am continually worried about this on my freeway commutes. As to overall quality, the jacket arrived with both sleeve armors installed upside-down. There is no velcro at the collar closure, making its too-short tab totally useless. There were dangling threads at many of the seams. This product needs some serious scrutiny by Tourmaster.Recommended with caution.

I had a Series 2 for daily riding 5 days a week for over 3 years and decided to get the Series 3, since the zipper pull on my Series 2 broke, bad mistake. I ordered and received the same size but the Series 3 runs SMALL for starters. Then with the exception of them changing the collar and sleeve closures which are alittle nicer there doesn't seem to be any change. Actually if you ride with something around your neck the new closure might not close as it is short. Also seems like the outside pocket openings are smaller.

If you do not have a jacket then this is a great jacket but if you have a series 2 and it is still in riding condition then keep it.

I wish I could send it back but I have ridden with it a couple of times.
Oh they shipped mine with two elbow protectors in the left sleeve just one in the right so much for quality control.

Not as good as reviews suggest... - dDT   Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: Good fit, nice features, reasonably waterproof
Cons: Very thin shell, junk armor

I read several reviews of this jacket before buying it, including a glowing one from WebBikeWorld, so I was pretty excited to buy one...until I got it.The good it fits well, and the design is good re features, zippers, pockets, liner, etc. I have no issues in any of these areas...but...The bad The primary reason I buy motorcycle gear is protection. If it's not effective in crash protection, then there is no reason to buy it. This jacket has some of the cheesiest armor I've seen in any jacket, the back protector is a thin slab of foam, and the shell is very very thin. Even the double fabric areas are way too thin. I have been around the block a few times in the 25 years I've been riding courier riding, racing, etc and I am pretty certain that this jacket would explode if the wearer crashed in it at any sort of speed.I bought this to replace the FG Kilimanjaro that became too big when I lost some weight. That jacket was way more sturdy, had much better armor, and in general, was a jacket that would have a shot at protecting you in a crash.NOTE The Sliders Quest 4 jacket is about 900 better than this one, and it's cheaper. Sadly, the 3XL was a little small for me, so I had to send it back and get this POS. If you're looking at this, go look at the Sliders Quest 4 instead. It is superior in every way including price.
