Tourmaster Solution 2.0 BootsHey guys, this is Reuben with Competition Accessories. Welcome to our review of the Tourmaster Solution 2.0. Now the solution 2.0 and the original Tourmaster Solution boots have been some of the most popular waterproof boot styles that we have sold here at Competition Accessories. Now the Tourmaster Solution 2.0 has been out for a little while now and weve had a chance to really put it through its paces, try it on, see how it fits, how it feels, how long it lasts, and we have been really impressed. Weve got tons of customer reviews on our website if you want to jump on there at the end of this video and read some customer feedback on them. The best thing about them is the price. These are not going to break the bank. They retail for 119 bucks and we sell them for under 110 so you can jump on there and see what our current price is but theyre a really, really valuable boot for the money. Im definitely very impressed. The other thing thats really attractive about the Solution 2.0 is its going to work for such a huge variety of riders whether youre a commuter thats on the bike everyday, or if your planning a longer trip where you dont know what kind of weather your going to encounter the Solution 2.0 is going to work just great. Even this style of boot can work well for a sport bike guy if your not looking for the ultimate protection and not going to the track all the time the Solution 2.0 is great option for you guys in that segment also. One thing that I really like about it, obviously, is it has a built in HiPora Membrane, which is going to be waterproof, thats the key feature for it. I will open the boot up here you will see that there is a Velcro flap thats going to cover the main zipper. There is Velcro on the end of the zipper as well which helps hold the zipper pull up in place. And then you see that internal waterproof membrane this gusset underneath the zipper here extends pretty much all the way to the top of the boot. What that does for you is its going to prevent water from coming in behind the zipper here and even if you were to ride through some big puddles where water is washing up over your feet, as long as water doesnt get over the top of the boot and run down inside these are going to do a great job of keeping your feet dry. Now HiPora has some really neat properties to it. It not only keeps the water out, its also a very breathable material, so for those warmer days when your feet might be getting a little hotter, it does a fairly good job of breathing and allowing your foot to breath so its not super hot. Now I will say any waterproof boot, if its 90 degrees out and middle of summer, your feet are probably going to get a little toasty in them. But the flip side of that is if you do get caught in the rain theyre going to keep your feet nice and dry and in cold weather obviously it helps block a bit more wind and keep your feet nice and warm inside the boot. The inside is lined with a nice soft material they do have what they call their Techno GI thermoplastic heel cup and toecap. So you have a heel cup around the back here thats inside the boot for support and protection. The toe box is reinforced as well, thats going to keep it nice and comfortable when shifting but also add some protection as well if you were to go down, tumble and hit the front of your foot on something thats going to help reinforce that area and keep you comfortable. Some built in armor over the anklebone, thats there not only for impact protection but also for abrasion resistance. Obviously leather does a good job but if you were to go down, your foot is underneath your bike its going to help prevent any wear or damage to your ankle and your foot inside the boot. On the sole of the boot you have some nice tread design. I really like the sole of the solution 2s cause theyre really comfortable off the bike also, so if youre like me and ride some events whether its bike night or some kind of open house or charity fund-raiser type of event or your riding somewhere then your off the bike walking around for hours, you know the last thing you need is a really stiff uncomfortable boot thats really hurting your feet all day long. So these boots are going to give you really sure footing but they are also fairly flexible so you can walk around in comfort. The foot bed that they use inside these is orthopedic, has some arch support in it, and it also absorbs vibration so if your bike has a little bit of buzz in the foot pegs or anything these are going to help absorb that as well. If you want to look down here at my foot, I actually have one of the Solution 2s on my foot and you can see what it looks like with jeans on. Very comfortable boot, as far as sizing goes, I pretty much always wear a size 10 or a 44. No different with the Solution 2. They are just right, I would say if you are kind of in between sizes especially if you have a slightly wider foot you probably want to go up a size. But I typically take a size 10 sometimes I have to go up a size 10.5 in tennis shoes depending on the width but on these particular ones I find that I can wear the size 10 and they fit just right so very comfortable as far as flexibility goes. You can walk around as I mentioned all day long in comfort in the Solution 2.0 and again you cant beat that price for under 120 bucks youre getting a fully featured waterproof motorcycle boot. So check out these Solution 2.0s from Tourmaster on our website, at competitionaccessories.com and dont forget most of your orders here at competition accessories are going to ship for free and you can earn up to 5% comp-a-cash back to use toward future purchases. Super Comfortable Boots - PRBikeRider   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great comfort, right fit, very good grip
    Cons: none so far

These boots are better than I expected. I was looking for a set of boots to replace some short boots I had for summer riding. These boots are light, very comfortable, they fit just right and appear to be made of top materials. I've worn them probably 12-15 times and they feel great from the moment I put them on. My feet are toasty in cool weather and cool in warm weather. I've gotten went while wearing them but my feet were dry. I would recommend them to anyone interested in them.

Great Boots - baccroft   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: great fit, well made, works well for walking around too
    Cons: none, so far

I was looking for a summer type boot that had a lower height profile than my other boots. I have a wide foot EEE, but took a chance on these due to the other reviews, and affordability. Even though they appear narrow, it was a good fit for my feet. And they are well suited for walking around in too, unlike my other mc boots. I like the cross strap to keep the laces from unraveling in the wind, plus the reflective strip across the back. All in all I am very pleased with these boots.

Worn these for several 200 to 300 mile rides and been very happy. Comfortable both on and off the bike. Easy to put on and take off. Great fit. Very happy so far and would definitely recommend to others.

    Cons: none

Wanted a lower boot that was waterproof as well as breathable and have ridden in hot weather and moderate rain so far so good run small I wear a 9 to 9.5 wide so got the 10 and not to big and not to narrow good buy

Tourmaster Solution 2 - Xev   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: The boots like good, they fit well, they're comfortable, and they protect well.
    Cons: None.

I've put these boots through their paces. I've used them on an ATV, a Dual-Sport, and a Street-bike I wanted to test them in many different applications. These boots have held up very well since I've had them. I bought them to use in my MSF course in last September 2012. They've shown no signs of wear, and they've kept road debris from beating up my feet I'm extremely happy with these boots and would buy another pair if I had to.

These boots are awesome. Great price and very comfortable. Ride in to work and wear them all day long.

Very comfortable boots. - Riding boots   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good looking comfortable boots at a very reasonable price.
Cons: No hooks for laces. You have eyelets right to the top of boot. Boots have no ankle support belt.

Boots are good for when you get off the bike. The soles bend as you walk. They don't have a steel shank. Good for riders with flat feet. The soles do not leave black marks on floors. Reasonable quality at reasonable price.

Response 2.0 first weeks - David B   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: sizing, comfort, protection, price
Cons: questionable laces, a little too warm for a hot day

I have only worn these a few dozen times since purchasing. The laces fit my fairly narrow feet well and they are considerably more comfortable than my old Belstaffs to walk in. About the same as inexpensive hiking boots. Very comfortable soles. Not sure about the ankle cup placement, but it is there, as well as a toe box. Velcro on the strap works well but you have to keep the laces clear of it . I had bought these as summer boots, and its already hit 80 in February in Los Angeles but I don't believe they will breath enough for when the temperature gets really hot. I keep shoes at work and switch out after commuting, but these will do well for short walks even with my very bad back. For the price they are outstanding.

I like 'em - hecam17   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Comfort, protection, walkable
    Cons: none yet

Been wearing these 2 seasons. They are comfortable, fit true to euro size. Composite toe and shank make them good on foot pegs, I like the little reflective tab on the heel and they are also good for a walk when you get off the bike. FYI the nylon lace tabs will wear out. I put in quick draw laces with a metallic thread- don't do that- my laces cut the top 2 nylon tabs, my fault not the mfgr. Had a shoe repair put in a metal tab and all fixed. Decided to fix them because they show almost no wear after 2 seasons. Use the supplied laces and this will not be a problem.

Overall, a good comfortable pair of boots. Also gives great support to the ankle. The velcro straps are great

    DWolvin
Love the fit and comfort, much like a wrestling shoe or converse sneak...
The lining, however is too soft, and is starting to fall apart at the heel cup area. I only knock off one star because it might be me I kill that area in half of the boots I buy. Still, make sure that you know what size you want, I measured my feet and ordered the next size, but should have rounded down.

poorly made but comfortable - Jluvs2dive   Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: Very comfortable
Cons: Poorly constructed and won't last

I've had 2 pairs of these. The first pair had a shoe lace strap come out because the stitching gave way. This happened while they were still in warranty thankfully. I got the replacements about a month later but because it was riding season I had bought a different brand in the mean time, so I didn't wear the replacements right away. Less than a year after I started wearing the replacements the sole on both boots cracked all the way into the inner lining and also started coming loose from the rest of the boot. Unfortunately they were no longer in warranty. My recommendation is to find a better constructed boot unless you don't mind paying 100 for a boot that won't even last a year.

Needs improvement - Bliz   Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: Comfortable
    Cons: Poor quality.

Sole on boot is so soft that after an hour of riding the arch of your foot is sore from contact with the footpeg. Has 0 arch support. Also the top shoe string strap broke. Had to drill hole in top of boot to take shoe string through. This after 6 months of use. Would not buy again.

Pros: Hi Viz Color Workmanship, Material Quality 3 Jackets in 1Price.
Cons: Zippers are a little difficult. Inner Sleeve Securing Loops

I purchased The Sonora Jacket as I didn't have a Medium weight Jacket. The Rain Liner has worked flawlessly. The many interior and exterior pockets are a real plus. This is is not my first Tourmaster Jacket so I expected the quality to be first rate which it is IMO. The Inner Sleeve Securing Loops were a bit of a hassle locating them when re installing the Quilted liner and Rain liner. Overall I'm very happy with the jacket. And I would certainly recommend it to anyone. Watching the Video about this jacket may the purchase easier.

The Intake 3 has become my favorite riding jacket. From the Hi Vis color to the easily removable linings, this jacket does it all for me. the large size fits me quite well. I have a 44 chest.I also have an older Transition 2 jacket for the really cold days, but so far the Intake 3 has kept me warm down to 38-40 degrees. I would definitely recommend this jacket.

I really like the coat and the reason that i didnt return was that being able to add clothing under this coat I will be able to ride in 40 degree weather. But bottem line excellent coat like pockets and best air flow in mesh jacket that I have had. Would tell a friend

Pros: Fits well, Airflow is Great.
    Cons: Zipper

This is a great jacket overall. The jacket actually fits well, which is a rarity in my case. I'm 6'6, 240lbs and typical tall sized cycle clothing is usually still way to short. The XLT size was perfect for me. Only complaint is the zipper has separated at the bottom twice on me while riding. Overall a great product for the money.

Pros: Light, cool and well made
Cons: Inside connecting zippers a little flimsy

Great jacket This is my second Tourmaster jacket and because of the first I bought this one. No regretts. Road a 1,000 miles a couple weekends ago in nice warm weather and the jacket was as cool as a mesh jacket can be. Really is a nice jacket. The only minor con are the inside zippers. They are a little flimsy and like to come a part easily, but once you get use to them it is no biggy. It is a great jacket

I usually get the joe rocket Phoenix jackets, but this was around the same price so I thought I would try it. Glad I did. It is a little big on me without the liner and under-jacket, but that just let's more air flow when moving. The padding stays in place very well. Most importantly, the zipper works very well. Tons of pockets

Great jacket - robotman28   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warm, close fitting, ventilation, zipper seals are great
Cons: main zipper is stiff when new

I have been riding in the early spring weather in PA with this jacket. I had the previous model of the jacket some years ago and loved it. This model fits the arms better and is just as air tight. The collar on these is also really nice, makes a good seal around the neck without chafe. I have not ridden in rain but the last one worked pretty well for wet riding. I had a Harley Electra Glide when I was using the previous model Tourmaster Transition. Now I am riding a Triumph Sprint ST which is more of a sport touring bike. I am in the wind a lot more on this bike and the jacket really works. I unzipped two of the front vents on the jacket on one ride and had to stop immediately and zip them back up because I was freezing They will be great in the summer. I was riding in 45 degree weather that day. I bought an extra large tall and it fits just right with the liner in. I am 6'-2 and 250# with a big gut. On the bike while riding it is loose enough to be comfortable but not flap at all. Well worth the money in my opinion.

Pros: Comfortable, well-made, sturdy without being stiff
    Cons: [None]

I typically wear an 11 US and ordered a regular 11. The fit was great. These boots feel sturdy without being clunky and stiff. I have great feel for shifting. I have large calves and am able to zip them up fine. The top of the boot is right at 11 inches tall. Perhaps you would be interested in knowing that I know I was but was never able to find that out before buying a pair. The top front has some hard material that will help protect your shin if you go down, and there is ankle protection.I have not ridden in wet or really hot conditions yet.Overall I think it is a great boot for the price.

Cons: A little stiff for general walking.

I've ridden at highway speed in temps as low as 26 degrees F. These boots kept my feet warm and comfortable. They are fine for a short walk while putting in gas or getting something to eat during a ride. However, if you plan to do a lot of sight seeing walking, you might want to change into something lighter.

Great pants - FZ6Rider   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Fit, features, cost
Cons: Liner is not very secure minimal velcro pads

I bought these pants for general all-around protection. Prior to this, I've been riding around in jeans.I like that I can wear these pants over jeans. The leg zippers run from the cuff up to the knee, and so they are easy to put on and take off with boots. There is a removable liner which tends to come undone from the pants when putting them on. The liner is attached to the pants with velcro pads, but these are minimal. I also like the color and finish in that it's not attention-grabbing.The legs can be removed and converted into shorts, which was another reason for buying them. The zippers don't snag, and are easy to remove.A word on sizing. These pants run large. I am 5'10, 175#s, and usually wear a size 32 in jeans. The Medium in these pants was a bit large. I had to adjust the velcro straps on the waist all the way, and the pants were not even snug on my waist. I had to go with the Small size, and they fit pretty well on me.Overall, a pretty nice pair of pants with the convenience of making them into shorts.

I am pleased with these boots, but have not ridden in the rain with them yet. They are a little tight in the width and I must wear thin cotton socks. I expect them to get better after I get them soaked while riding and then dry while riding when the rain stops on a longer trip.

I recently bought these to replace a pair of Oylmpia pants similar styled. Other than being a tad short I have no complaints and love these pants....I have a 32 inch inseam in jeans and though these were perfect standing they where a tad shorter than I prefer riding...Much better for my application than the Olympias for my use....First wear was a week long trip around the south to Memphis to New Orleans to Nashville to home. No issues what so ever...would recommend these if youre in the market for these type of gear.

After riding with this jacket for 3700 miles, I will say it is good buy. It was comfortable from 47 with rain to 106 with 45 mph wind. It is some what cumbersome to put in or remove the liners but just have patience. All in all great jacket. I also got the matching pants and they are also good. I am 155 lbs and 5'-10 and I got the large.

I am what you call a full figured woman. I have been in multiple gear and bike shops and nobody carries beyond a misses xl in the store. You can order it but then you dont know if it will fit and if it doesnt you get hit with a restocking fee. I thought I would have to settle for a mans jacket. No room for the girls and sleeves too long. Competition Accesories made it so easy to order. No shipping. No restocking fee. And fast Oh yeah Would not hesitate to recommend them. And the jacket If you are a lady with generous assets you will love the Sonora Air. I found the fit for me just right. Generous where I need it but adjustable where you need it. Sleeves can be snapped tighter and so can the waist.

Good Quality - BrianWest58   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Breathable, comfortable and true to size
    Cons: Liner can bunch up.

Just as in Reuben's video review, these gloves aren't for everyday wear. They have a good wrist closer and are comfortable while allowing some ventilation. My hands never got that hot sensation while moving but being waterproof, the liner wants to cling to the fingers when removing. Great rain protection and I keep them with my rain suit. Excellent price point for the quality.

Pros: Very well designed and constructed
    Cons: None

I don't often review products but this jacket deserves one. I ordered this Fri and received it todayTues so kudos to CA for fast shipping. On to the jacket. First, sizing I'm 5'11 175 lbs and wear a 42 jacket. My arms are slightly long 34 sleeve. The medium as recommended in the sizing chart fits perfectly, with the liners in it was snug but not tight and the sleeves are perfect length. However, as another reviewer noted the sleeves aren't large. So if you are heavier or have large arms you might want to go with the large size. Second, construction. It is very well made using high quality materials. There are some very nice touches the cuffs are bell shaped allowing gloves to be worn outside or inside the sleeve. Large outside pockets and many inside pockets. The waterproof liner is lined with soft mesh making it very comfortable. the padded tail is long enough to cover your lower back when leaning forward. All of the protectors should provide good protection and were in the right places, no adjustment required. They aren't race grade but should be more than adequate for the road hopefully I'll never get the chance to test them. The mesh has a larger area then my other jacket, the Teknic supervent so it should give even better airflow on hot daysAll in all this is a very good jacket which will be suitable for three season use. I am very happy that i bought it. and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Pros: Lightweight, very comfortable, easy to break in.
Cons: A bit warm on even a not to hot day.

So Far, So Good I have a pair of the original version Tourmaster Solution boots, which I just love, but are getting a bit worn. Figured I would try the 2.0 version as a follow-on. So far, very impressed. I wore them for one full day the first time, and they seem to have already broken in. Not bad. Worn them a few time since, and they are great. Very comfortable, and easy to walk in. Have not had them in heavy rain yet. See how that goes. Only thing I noticed was that they did get a bit warm seems to be a bit warmer than the 1.0 version on a day that was a nice spring day. Other than that, very happy so far

Now with several thousand miles I can say that when these wear out I will look no further, I will be buying another pair. They are comfortable. I have walked all day in them after riding. They really are waterproof. I have ridden through several major rainstorms, my waterproof rainjacket leaked but my feet were dry. The fit is spot on. The only problem I have and it is minor, is that they are open at the top so occasionaly my pants seem to get hung up on the top of the boots.

First and for most i would like to thank COMPACC, originally had purchased the sliders quest 4 jacket but due to a manufacturer defect had to return the jacket. COMPACC contacted me immediately upon receipt of my jacket to inform me they did not have any more of my size and would not be receiving any more. They offered the transition to me as a replacement, thank you for your great customer service I have been using this jacket for 2 months now in a variety of weather from mid thirties to high seventies. The jacket has preformed flawlessly. Right out of the box i noticed the jacket to be substantially lighter than the quest, and assorted to have a little more build quality. Size was true to fit. So far this jacket has offered, and preformed as advertised Will be able to provide a follow up after a few more month's. So far so good awesome product would recommend to all

Pros: Keeps you warm in cool weather, keeps you cool in hot weather
Cons: straps around waist not enough velcro to tighten sufficiently

I bought this jacket because it is the only one that I could find that offers medium tall sizes, I'm 6'3 155 lbs and this jacket fit me absolutely perfect. Arm length was perfect and inner lining coat fits me snug. The only problem I have with the jacket i the straps around the waist do not have enough velcro on them to tighten them up to where I would like, however this is my only complaint. The jacket is pretty heavy with the armor inside, but I think its a pretty standard weight compared to other jackets. Would definitely recommend this jacket, especially if you are my size and have trouble finding jackets that will fit you properly.

As stated earlier I made a 14 state16 day, 7000 mile trip from Louisiana to LA to Washington State to Yellowstone, Mt Rushmore in through Colorado and back home with these boots. They worked very well. Yes they were a touch hot in Vegas where the temps reached 100 plus degrees but they also kept my feet pretty warm when I went to Yellowstone and the temp was 37 degrees. Soles are holding up well and the inside of the boot is not showing signs of wear either. Outside of the boot still look brand new and i have logged some 15,000 miles since I bought them. In the rain my feet have stayed dry. As I had stated I usually wear a 10 12 shoe. The 10 was too tight so I had to get a 11 which caused my heel to slip some. So I added a full length insert inside and that made them perfect. Depending on the weather dictates which thickness of sock I wear. I rode 160 mile yesterday in 43 degree weather and my feet stayed just right with wool socks on. Again I approve of this boot and recommend it if you are looking for a good pair of boots at a great price.

We love these boots My husband and I each have a pair. I wish that they had them with half sizes because I had to go up a size which makes them a little to long for my feet. My husbands boots are a perfect fit. They were stiff when we first got them and tight but after a few trips and walking around in them, they are very comfortable now. The air flow is better than a regular boot. We rode in the rain and our feet stayed dry. We also like all of the protection that these boots provide. Pros: comfortable, looks good, good price for the book
Cons: alittle big width wise for me, mainly in the heel area.

I've had these boots for several months now and I really like them. Very comfortable right out of the box, no break in required. My only con so far was the size. I had to go ahead and get a 11, which depending on the name brand of shoe I usually wear a 10-11. The 10 was snug with a thin sock, so I got a 11 so I can wear a thicker sock in the winter. The heel did slip some which I knew would cause premature wear in that area so I bought some full length sole inserts. Now feels like I am walking on new padded carpet with no slip. I rode with them in a rain storm last week for several hours and had no wetness inside. I am leaving at the end of Aug to go from Louisiana to California, up to Washington State, Yellowstone, Rushmore, Colorado and back home, about 6500 miles so that will be the true test. I will find out then how they feel in 95-100 degree weather. I'm sure they will be warm but I will find out then just how hot. I will get back on here after the trip to let you know how well they did. Would I buy more if I needed them YES Even showed them to several of my friends.

After looking at a lot of motorcycle boots, I decided on the Tourmaster Solution 2.0 boots. I ordered them on Thursday, and they arrived at my door the following Tuesday morning.
I opened the box and closely inspected the boots, as I am VERY skeptical about ordering "clothing" items on line. The boots looked fine, with all the stitching looking very well done, the soles attached very securely, the zippers and velcro covers looking like quality items. I wear a 10 1/2 shoe, normally, so I ordered the size 11 boots. They slipped on easily, and the zippers and velcro covers worked perfectly. I decided to wear them around my carpeted house for a day, just to make sure they felt "right". I am totally impressed so far, as they are very comfortable right out of the box, and fit great. I have decided to keep them, and will post a follow up after I ride my Harley Night Train with them for a while.

The price was the lowest I could find, the ordering was very easy, and the shipping was very fast....very good experience so far.

I have had these boots since 2004. We ride about 20,000 miles a year, so the boots take a beating. The boots are still waterproof and in great shape. They feel like bedroom slippers. I bought a pair of expensive dual sport boots last year 300. They lasted 1 year. Had to replace the sole. The Tourmasters are worn in the sole, but still have at least another year in them. That makes 7 years of great use.... for around 100. The only downside is getting them on if you have a high instep. But it is worth it once you have them on. Great boot... fantastic price. Best boots I ever had... and I have been riding for 50 years!

I received these boots the day before I left for a 1,400 mile trip into British Columbia. I didn't have any time to break them in first which was a bit of a chance, but that wasn't a problem. They were very comfy from the first mile. I am very happy with them. I walked around in them for a couple hours one day sight-seeing and then rode for most of a day in the rain. Dry and happy feet the entire time. I am VERY impressed at how good of grip these boots have on all sorts of pavements, even the polished concrete on my garage floor.

Tourmaster Dri-Mesh gloves - Rainey   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Lighter late Spring and Summer gloves. Very good at keeping your hands dry in tha rain
Cons: Need to come up another 1 to 2 inches higher on your wrist.

When you get stuck in the rain, even when it is a light rain, you have to remember to keep your rainsuit jacket down and over the tops of these gloves, to prevent the rain water from running down into the tops of these gloves. As long as you do this, they will NOT leak, and they actually will keep your hands very dry. I rode in a very heavy downpour of rain for over 2 hours, and these gloves kept my hands dry. They run true to size however, you may want to keep in consideration that they are sometimes a little difficult to pull off when they are wet I opted to order the next biggest size, and they are much easier to take off and especially put back on when they are wet. I would have given these gloves a 5 rating if the tops of the gloves came up a little higher. That would make them much easier to tuck up underneath your rain jacket. They are well-worth the price, and take up very little room to carry with you.

Pros: Hi-Vis really stands out, more than most. Liner almost makes it fallspring too.
Cons: Main zipper a little fidgety to get engaged.

I bought this thinking it would be for just the hottest days. Now I wear it on many other days because it is easy to just use a pullover to make it a bit warmer, or not when sun has been on pavement awhile. As winter approaches, the liner with a pullover or two make this an equivalent of a heavier jacket. It should be purchased with some extra space. That helps air flow around the chest, and leaves room for those pullovers when airflow is not so critical.

    Pros: Well made
Cons: sleeves a bit tight with liners

This is a well made mesh jacket with very good protection for the money. The only gripe I have is the sleeves are tight with the liners in. They have snap cinches on the forearms to adjust them, but they are completely useless. The forearms are just right on the loosest adjustment wo the liners in. I'm 5'10' & 195lbs. The large is perfect otherwise. If you plan to use this as a 3 season jacket with the liners, you may want to go up a size. I bought this as a summer only mesh jacket and am happy with it.

    Pros: Great protection.
Cons: Can get a bit warm

I've had mine a little over a year, and have put about 700 miles on them as a rider, and a few more as a passenger. They run big--I usually wear a size 10 shoe, and found the 9.5 in these were a good fit.. They are still plenty wide, room for heavy socks, which works for me, but if you have a narrow foot, these may not work for you. They do get a little warm, and make my feet sweat if it's really hot, or I wear them all day, but if you live in a more variable climate i.e. not Southern California, you may not mind. They fit well under the shifter on my Honda VLX--almost no signs of wear so far, other than dirt.Living in So Cal, I also have not had the chance to test the waterproofing, nor have I thankfully had to test their crashworthiness. They're not stylish, but they get the job done.

Comfortable boots, but... - Motorcycle instructor, Chicago   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Very comfortable for walking in
    Cons: Soles wear through quickly

I have owned three pairs of these boots in the past ten years, and they are my go-to footwear for teaching motorcycle classes. The flex panels front and rear make these boots very comfortable for walking when off the bike, yet they offer a good level of protection when riding. The only drawback is that the soles wear through quickly - typically in just two or three seasons, in my experience. Since the design uses many hollow cells under the sole rubber, the boots begin to leak in wet weather as soon as any one of the cells wears through. A sole design without hollow cells would be better.

    Pros: Comfortable, good rain protection.
Cons: Would prefered this in HiVis Orange

I have this jacket in the 2XLT. I like the dual liner set up where it can be worn with the rain liner or the thermal liner or both or neither. I've found that the rain liner does a good job of keeping me dry without being overly suffocating. The thermal liner adds a bit of warmth, but doesn't make this a cold weather jacket. With both liners in, it starts to get chilly when the sun goes down and the temps drop below 60F. The jacket has plenty of pockets, with four exterior pockets and three interior pockets on the shell and each of the liners.

    Cons: sleeve length very long

Jacket does a great job with airflow. If riding on a cool morning 60's I have found have something around the neck helps and a long sleeve. Otherwise it is a chilly ride. Yes summers in CA do get chilly, especially on San Francisco Peninsula.Fit & finish is good. Jacket is comfortable. I recently rode in the Sacramento CA area - 100degrees - and was not hot. Looks like it maybe a 3 season jacket. I ride all year & my other TourMaster jacket Transition 3 is waterproof - without the waterpoof liner like this jacket. I ride a F6B Honda Goldwing Cruiser - full faring. A minor warning. I am 6'4' with 38' sleeve length and wear a 3x. The 3x regular jacket sleeves are way to long even for me. That is why 4 and not 5 stars.

I like the jacket. It is first rate. I have received compliments on the look. The jacket is a bit bulky and the sleeves seem a little longer than necessary. Have not worn the jacket with the liners both in, although they were in when I tried it on. I am afraid a smaller size would not allow me to wear with the liners installed.

Started riding again after many years. I previouisly bought Sliders jacket, pants, gloves and was impressed with both excellent quality and service. This is my first pair of cycle boots. Very easy on and off. Side zipper with velcro secured flap cover is much easier than lacing up work boots. Comfortable flexible fit and nice finish. Normally take a 9 12 size. The boot is a 10w but seems to fit well. After some more break-in will probably be able to use a slightly thicker sock. Recently did a trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The boots were comfortable in early morning chill and in the afternoon when temps rose. Some light rain but feet stayed dry.

As first delivered there was a defect with the right boot...the right ankle protector had become displaced during manufacture and slipped into the heel cup. The boots were returned without any hassle and new boots subtituted. The boots were immediately comfortable, though a bit hot. I'm not sure why the term air applies to them, they are not airy. The toes are higher thicker than my earlier boots which has caused me to miss a shift or two, while I become accustmed to them. In the 300 miles or so which Ive ridden since the purchase, I have not yet dealt with rain so I can't comment whether the boots will keep the water out. The boots seem well made and sturdy. All in all I think they're a good purchase and of like quality to my other Tourmaster gear.

Cons: Neck area seems a little tight. Would like a longer Velcro strap on neck area for sure.

If your not sure of the sizing, go up a size. I went with XL because I was between two sizes and I'm glad I went bigger. The waist straps take up a good portion of extra jacket material that you may have. Also wished the neck area was bigger. The Velcro strap for it is short in my opinion. Needs to be longer for people with thick necks. Very glad I bought this jacket. Very comfortable and warm. The price was great for the quality jacket you get. Well worth the money.

I am 6'4, 210, 44XLong, 17 neck, 3738 sleeve. Not an easy fit. I ordered the Tourmaster Sonora Air, hi-viz yellowgreenblack in LargeTall. This jacket is seriously hi-viz. Shocked my gf. The fit is near perfect with the liners in, and not far off without those liners. The sleeves are precisely at the base of my palms, arms stretched forward. Free three day shipping from the manufacturer. The main zipper on the mesh outer is a double. It will zip up or down, unfortunately there is no lock to keep it down. Possible, not probable, that it could begin to unzip in a slide. A handy seamstress could fix that. The neck opening is too big. You'll need a choker or bandana to keep the bugs and rocks out. The mesh is more of a heavy soft gauze. I don't think it would do well in a long slide, or even a short slide on chip-seal. This is probably a one-crash jacket. I don't like the baggy elbows that go with the current fashion of pre-curved arms, but the inner armor cinches take most of that up.This is the only 200 dollar range jacket I looked at seriously that has the CE rated armor at all the primary contact points, and can be cinched to the place it would probably stay put in a slide. The armor covering appears to be a dense weave of no-nonsense fabric. The shoulders and elbows would probably not fail unless at track speeds. I quit counting pockets at 9. I stood on it and pulled the side seams with all my might hoping they would separate. They didn't stretch far enough out of shape to bitch about. The mesh is almost completely flow-thru. The is very little occlusion even sitting still. The jacket, except for the neck opening, seals nicely and would probably be dry in a downpour, and possibly extended rain. With both liners it is warm at 55 F behind the Road King windshield. Fit and finish are on par with jackets twice the price. I have looked and touched and tried on just about all of them. For the dollar, particularly if you need a multi-climate touring jacket, this one is difficult to beat. There are jackets as good, but none better, especially if you are tall. It is has a few minor shortcomings, but to get built in armor, hi- viz day or night, protection from sunburn certainly, and at least some protection in a slide all for 200 and change.. I'll take that.

I like and recommend this jacket for comfort, fit and looks, but there are a few problems I am replacing a mediumtall with another mediumtall after a minor low-side really chewed up the mesh part of the sleeve. My first jacket fit perfectly, but the second replacement one is too long in the sleeves. Did Tourmaster change the sizing of the talls Also, if you buy one that fits without the three layers, it won't fit WITH the three layers, so even though that inner warmth layer seems like a good idea, I never use mine. Also the velcro strap around the cuff wears out way too soon. Still, all things considered it's a good jacket.

With the liners out its a bit loose, which I expected. But there are enough adjustments to make up for that. Which brings me to my one complaint about this jacket. The Velcro closure on one sleeve came loose from its backing on one of the first times I used it. I had the same thing happen on a pair of icon gloves and its easily repaired with super glue. But I guess I expected better from tourmster qc department. Aside from that I like the jacket. Plenty of pockets, good airflow and having bought the yellow version I do feel somewhat more visible. For GA, I think this will be a good three season, if not year round jacket.

Pros: good ventilation, along with good wind-stopping, waterproof in light rain.
Cons: VERY snug fit, no room for another layer beyond the quilted liner.

The good for the price, a very well made piece of riding gear. Took it out today in not-very-warm weather. Ventilation seems adequate, no cold spots like with a full mesh jacket. It does seem to balloon and flutter, as though, with all 4 vents open at freeway speed, the exhaust vent can't handle the incoming air, and you can feel the bike reacting to that. BUT, and it's a large but, it is cut very snug. Someone needs to tell Tourmaster that a 46 Tall is NOT a 46. I've never worn anything larger than a 44, but with the quilted liner in I'd be hard-pressed to fit even a very light down jacket under this coat. So, not really 4 seasons, but very adequate for 3 season use.

First riding jacket I've owned. In fact my wife and I both have this jacket which we were using for a cross country trip this summer. I was concerned about them being to hot, after I figured out where all the vents were there was a lot of air moving through you at highway speed. We got as cool as 42 degrees and even without the liner I was warm enough to stay comfortable. We never had an all day rain to go through, but the 4-5 hr rains we rode through we stayed dry, including the pockets. The black areas on the sleeves faded from the sun,not sure if thats normal. Overall both jackets performed well and I would buy them again and recommend them to anyone needing a complete jacket system and doesn't want to pay a lot more than the price of this jacket. The only reason I gave it a 4 star and not a 5 star is because of the fading on the sleeve. Some people may not like that.

Comfortable to walk in out-of-the-box, and look pretty good too. Soles are grippy enough. They are about 3 quarters of an inch shorter than my Alpinestars, but is a minor shortcoming. My only true reservation is that there is no heel protection so minus one star ofr that. There is toe protection and shin protection.

Sturdy, lightweight boots - JEO   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Great value, solid design.
Cons: Little adjustablility in velcro closures.

These boots are worth twice the price. They are comfortable out of the box, and stay that way for hours and hours, on and off the bike. Substantial enough to take a beating, but light enough to maneuver easily. No moisture issues in my pair. Only wish the shin shield could be cinched a little tighter.

Pros: Great quality, fair price, good shipping
    Cons: Fit is almost perfect

Very well made gloves, but like shoes it's better if you can try them on before buying. One glove is just slightly large maybe that hand is slightly small, but these are wearable and good for riding.

Great boots - Lash   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Comfortable, flexible
Cons: Probably be hot in the summer

This is a nice boot for the price. I'm a 8 12 wide and they don't come in widths, so they're a little on the tight side but otherwise fit perfectly. Didn't really require much of a break-in. Easy to walk around in. Haven't been in the rain yet so can't comment on that aspect. Pretty good protection for touring. I'd buy them again, absolutely.

Thank you Tourmaster for making a Wide boot - Willy   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Feel great on my foot right out of the box. They look cool too great value for what you pay
Cons: Took a quick spin on bike and they are a little stiff in the ankle. Had to really put effort into shifting but I'm sure they'll break in fine

I read alot of fantastic reviews about this boot so I decided to buy it. I think the best selling point for for me was that Tourmaster offered the boot in a wide size. I have a wide foot and big calves so that was huge. I've tried on several other boots from big brands and they were all too tight for my foot. Not to mention more expensive. All that being said the extremely positive reviews from guys who ride a hell of alot more than I do made me realize that this is the boot for me. I ordered the boot over the phone at 307pm on April 25th and I recieved the boot at 420pm on April 26th. Granted the store is in South Carolina and I live in North Carolina but oh well. I just wanted a comfortable all weather boot mainly for commuting 60 miles to work and back so I figured for 107.99 what the hec. Out of the box the boot felt great. They weren't tight at all. I decided to go for a quick spin just to see how they felt on the bike and the only issue I had was that the boot was very stiff trying to shift. I know ..I know.... they need to be broken in. Just wanted to point that out because I hadn't heard that in any other review. Like I said earlier, I saw reviews from experienced riders who love this boot so I'm sure they'll break in fine. I'm excited to get some miles on these boots. Will be shopping from Competition Accessories in the future.

I found these to fit narrow. I bought a 10 which usually fits me well, but my toes are too cramped. Will probably have to switch to a 10 wide, or be patient and wait for them to brake in. Haven't tested them in water yet. They are very wide at the top for my skinny calves. Worried they'll fly off in a wreck.

I bought these boots for the motorcycle safety course and loved how they fit. The boots were true to size, and I had even a little extra room for heavier socks. While I took the course it rained both days and I had no issues with wet feet. These boots were also very comfortable to shift in. The only down size to these boots are the velcro on the side. The velcro on my right boot kept coming undone. I am hoping with time that as the leather stretches this won't be a problem. All in all, a great boot and would highly recommend it.

    Pros: Great price
Cons: 10 wide, left boot got really loose after 1 ride, in the heel area

I tried the boots on. first fit not bad. Wore around house. Like the fit enough to take them for a ride. Only 160 mile ride. On way home, at a stop signal, placed foot on road surface, something in the left boot heel area let loose. Left boot flop up & down on foot. Sent them back. Will try size 10.I always wear size 10 W.The right boot was a perfect fit.

Sizing and quality issues - Bob Landry   UT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Does what it's supposed to do, within limits
    Cons: Some quality issues

Someone should tell Tourmaster's producers that an XL Tall size should actually BE an XL Tall size. The cut is so tight, that adding another layer under the quilted liner would be difficult if not impossible, and I'm talking about something relatively compressible like a down vest or even a sweatshirt. The sleeves are cut so tightly that the adjustment straps on my fairly skinny arms are totally unnecessary, even without the quilted liner, when wearing just a sweatshirt. Also, for some reason, the jacket billows out in the back with or without the vents being open, at freeway speeds. This is so forceful that, the first time it happened, it affected the handling of the bike. Now I am continually worried about this on my freeway commutes. As to overall quality, the jacket arrived with both sleeve armors installed upside-down. There is no velcro at the collar closure, making its too-short tab totally useless. There were dangling threads at many of the seams. This product needs some serious scrutiny by Tourmaster.Recommended with caution.

OK for the Price - T   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Low Price, Comfortable off the bike
    Cons: Wet

Out of the box these boots are comfortable and are made well compared to other boots at this price. Unfortunately mine soaked my feet. I wore them for around 2k miles and 3 months before testing them in serious rain and they held up well in light rain and the only trouble was a little seam that intruded on my toe in the left boot. But for the price I wasn't complaining...until the hard rain that left them soaked. I've had other waterproof boots in similar conditions that were truly waterproof I've had and been more than satisfied with a lot of Tourmaster gear so I was surprised by the lack of performance. I' ll still buy their products ...but maybe these boots should say mostly waterproof

I had a Series 2 for daily riding 5 days a week for over 3 years and decided to get the Series 3, since the zipper pull on my Series 2 broke, bad mistake. I ordered and received the same size but the Series 3 runs SMALL for starters. Then with the exception of them changing the collar and sleeve closures which are alittle nicer there doesn't seem to be any change. Actually if you ride with something around your neck the new closure might not close as it is short. Also seems like the outside pocket openings are smaller.

If you do not have a jacket then this is a great jacket but if you have a series 2 and it is still in riding condition then keep it.

I wish I could send it back but I have ridden with it a couple of times.
Oh they shipped mine with two elbow protectors in the left sleeve just one in the right so much for quality control.

Boots after one year - moto77   Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: sizing good for wide feet
Cons: Hot and fast wearing soles.

I purchased the Tourmaster Solution WP 2.0 boots last may and have worn them on about 5000 miles of riding. The wide size is the best thing. I wore my old German made boots for several years before wearing out the soles, but the Tourmaster boots now are worn through on both soles. The rubber appears to be rather soft and prone to fast wear. Also these boots feel extremely hot. They do not breathe and my socks are very damp after a few hours of ridding. Knowing what I do now, I would spend more and get a higher quality and hopefully better wearing boot.

Not as good as reviews suggest... - dDT   Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: Good fit, nice features, reasonably waterproof
Cons: Very thin shell, junk armor

I read several reviews of this jacket before buying it, including a glowing one from WebBikeWorld, so I was pretty excited to buy one...until I got it.The good it fits well, and the design is good re features, zippers, pockets, liner, etc. I have no issues in any of these areas...but...The bad The primary reason I buy motorcycle gear is protection. If it's not effective in crash protection, then there is no reason to buy it. This jacket has some of the cheesiest armor I've seen in any jacket, the back protector is a thin slab of foam, and the shell is very very thin. Even the double fabric areas are way too thin. I have been around the block a few times in the 25 years I've been riding courier riding, racing, etc and I am pretty certain that this jacket would explode if the wearer crashed in it at any sort of speed.I bought this to replace the FG Kilimanjaro that became too big when I lost some weight. That jacket was way more sturdy, had much better armor, and in general, was a jacket that would have a shot at protecting you in a crash.NOTE The Sliders Quest 4 jacket is about 900 better than this one, and it's cheaper. Sadly, the 3XL was a little small for me, so I had to send it back and get this POS. If you're looking at this, go look at the Sliders Quest 4 instead. It is superior in every way including price.

    Pros: Comfortable fit.

Very comfortable fit. Unfortunately, the material is not even close to a leather and does not breathe at all causing extreme heat and perspiration. First rain they leaked badly within 10 minutes. Black cut edges of outer material not leather turned white in first rain ride. Poor choice for rain boots.

    Pros: They fit well
Cons: They don't flow air, but do flow water

As was noted in another review, the liner of these things sticks to sweaty hands and pulls out of the glove when removed. It is difficult to put back in especially if hands are still sweaty. They flow no discernable air, but the single time I rode them in the rain, my hands were soaked afterwards.

    Pros: Nice fit
Cons: These are not even water repellent

We purchased a pair of mens and ladies Solution 2.0 WP boots. These boots are advertised as completely waterproof by Competition Accessories. We just got back from our first trip using them and we went through some rain. My wife's socks were wet and my feet were soaked. If you are looking for a waterproof boot, look elsewhere. The customer service rep told me that these boots are only water repellent, not waterproof. This is contrary to their advertising.

Pros: Appear to be well constructed
Cons: They don't fit my feet - so I returned them

The boots appear to be well constructed, although I don't particularly like how they buckle just below the instep when you walk in them. I can't won't review these boots or any others that I've tried on so far because I apparently have perfect size 10.5D feet in U.S. size. The European size 44 boots I've tried on are WAY too short. The European size 45 boots are WAY too wide. Consequently, at this time, I have not yet found a pair of motorcycle boots that fit. At this time, I still rely on my Tony Lama TLX boots. I just make sure that they are well polished & mink-oiled, and if heavy rain appears obiouus, I put on my Totes rubber boots over them . . .I must say, though, that Competition Accessories took them back with no hassles whatsoever. I will continue to do business with them in the future

Disappointing - Jim   Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: Price
    Cons: Overall fit and quality

Are they waterproof, yes. Do they break in fast, yes, but it's because they break down fast and end up uncomfortable and un-supportive on or off the bike. These are the first pair of motorcycle boots I've owned in 20 years where my arches hurt after an hour on the pegs, you would think I had on sandals. The soles wear very quickly, mine wore through evenly after roughly 9,000 miles of riding and walking around over 1-12 riding seasons. I have track boots with thin soles I also wear on the street part of the time which are 3 years old and not worn through, but they're from a better manufacturer. I'm not sure what I expected for 108.00,but I wish I would have spent the extra money to buy a waterproof boot from Alpinestars or TCX. As it is, I will be spending that money, just a lot sooner than I expected.

Not for hot weather, poor choice of materials - Frank   CA Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: Comfortable
Cons: Hot, poor choice of materilas

I got these boots to replace a pair of Sidi On Road boots I've had for over 10 years. At first I thought the Solution 2 boots were a good product at 13 the cost of the Sidi On Road boots. However, the imitation leather on the toe area of both Solution 2 boots has already started to crack. I probably have ridden about 2,000 miles on the Solution 2 boots and they are already starting to come apart. Poor quality materials were used to make the Solution 2 boots. Also, I live San Francisco where we have a relatively cool climate. My feet get hot wearing these boots even on cool days and my feet get very uncomfortable on warm days. Personally, I don't think the boots breath as advertised and that's why my feet get so hot. Next time I'll pay the extra money and get another pair of Sidi On Road boots. After more than 10 years and more than 100,000 miles, the Sidi On Roads boots still have not cracked and never make my feet hot. You get what you pay for. I do not recommend the Solution 2.0 boots.

Long back order wait for my size. Left boot has no issues other than the shift pad stitching is already freyed after 350 miles of in/out of town riding. The right boot is not the same quality of the left. Zipper has a kink in it and I don't expect it will work too manjy more times before it fails. Plastic heel cup is not seated properly and chafes a little. Pull tab pulled free from boot third time it was used. I would have sent these back except I didn't want to wait for another pair. Well I really just don't ever want another pair of these. Now for the good. The left boot is very comfortable, right out of the box. Sole gives very good traction on any surface. Boots run true to size. If the right boot had been the same quality as the left these would be a good value for the money. To sum it up, I expect the bad boot will fail at any time,if they make it a 1,000 miles I'll be surprised. Save your money and buy a pair of SIDI boots is my suggestion.
