    Our Thoughts:
The intake 3 jacket really has the features needed for a rider looking to have one jacket to cover most riding conditions. If MOST conditions is usually in warm or hot weather. In hot weather the tourmaster intake 3 functions much like a mesh jacket. The mesh on the intake allows a large amount of air to come in to the jacket and really keeps you cool. In fact we think because it keeps the sun off your skin you actually are cooler than when riding with just a t-shirt on. ( that assumes you are moving, it is still hot if sitting still ). The intake 3 jacket does give you a LOT more protection than a t-shirt with its CE approved elbow and shoulder armor, plus its triple density back armor. ( all removable / upgradable ). When the weather gets wet or cool you can put in the rain liner. The rain liner on the Tourmaster intake 3 really blocks the water, but also block the wind. So in a lot of just mildly cool weather situations, the rain liner will due just fine. Then you can always add the thermal liner to the jacket if the weather is really getting colder. When using both the waterproof liner and the thermal in particular is it makes the jacket fit tighter ( see sizing below ). Just like you were adding a sweatshirt under a outer jacket ( layering right! ). So just keep that in mind when ordering. Over all the jacket works very good. Another jacket to consider for more of a all-around textile jacket with vents is the Tourmaster Transition 3 Jacket

Sizing Help for the Intake 3 Jacket:
Like other jackets with a 2 part liner the Tourmaster Intake 3 uses the aqua-therm liner, which consists of a waterproof and a thermal liner. By having these 2 liners the jacket is a tighter in fit when they are installed vs when they are not. When both liners are installed, the jacket is pretty consistent with the sizing listed on the chart. But when you remove the liners the jacket is probably a 1 size larger then indicated on the chart. If you are probably not going to use the liners or very rarely use them on the intake jacket, then you should probably consider going down a size. However if you are going to use the thermal liner frequently, you should use the sizes as listed. The Tall jackets are about 2 inches longer in the sleeve ( measured from shoulder seem to end of arm ) than the regular sizes. So if you only sometimes need a tall, then we suggest the regular. However, if you usually need a tall, then go for the tall size. If you are really unsure you can always order 2 sizes and just return the one that does not fit to save time and shipping.

Overall, a great way to add some protection to your summer riding. - Max B   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Adjustable, Tall Sizes w long sleeves, Low Sales Price
    Cons: Over-sized, not very Waterproof

Perfect for most trips during riding season, but I will take something else if I know rain is in the forecast. I'm 6'3 - 225 lb. and the XL tall i purchased is a bit too big, however it is great that it comes in tall sizes and the sleeves are long enough. I don't have any regrets about this purchase.

GREAT JACKET - wdiazinc   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: well ventilated and well constructed
    Cons: none yet

I love how the jacket feels right off the hanger. It is well constructed although a snap came off when I took the liner off. I'm glad it came with extra snaps. overall it performs very well letting air flow through keeping me comfortable yet protected. when the temps drop I have the liner and waterproof lining to keep me warm and dry. I am a happy rider www.easymoneyforall.biz

Great Jacket - Mark   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Light weight, High Visibility,Versitile
    Cons: None

The Intake 3 has become my favorite riding jacket. From the Hi Vis color to the easily removable linings, this jacket does it all for me. the large size fits me quite well. I have a 44 chest.I also have an older Transition 2 jacket for the really cold days, but so far the Intake 3 has kept me warm down to 38-40 degrees. I would definitely recommend this jacket.

Pros: Very well made excellent value.
Cons: This coat is sized like clothes used to be in the usa.

I would order the mediun if i had it to do over. I am 5'10 185# and I can still put a heavy shirt under it. I really like the coat and the reason that i didnt return was that being able to add clothing under this coat I will be able to ride in 40 degree weather. But bottem line excellent coat like pockets and best air flow in mesh jacket that I have had. Would tell a friend

Great summer jacket - SC rider   SC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: good fit, liners easy to use, many pockets, good air flow
    Cons: none found yet

Have worn this jacket on a couple of 250 day rides so far. Well tailored, comfortable fit, plenty of useful pockets, armor seems to be in the right places. Liner is easier than most to use. Fine value for the price, highly recommended.

Nice Jacket - Paul   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fits well, Airflow is Great.
    Cons: Zipper

This is a great jacket overall. The jacket actually fits well, which is a rarity in my case. I'm 6'6, 240lbs and typical tall sized cycle clothing is usually still way to short. The XLT size was perfect for me. Only complaint is the zipper has separated at the bottom twice on me while riding. Overall a great product for the money.

Air 3 - Kneekaps   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Light, cool and well made
Cons: Inside connecting zippers a little flimsy

Great jacket This is my second Tourmaster jacket and because of the first I bought this one. No regretts. Road a 1,000 miles a couple weekends ago in nice warm weather and the jacket was as cool as a mesh jacket can be. Really is a nice jacket. The only minor con are the inside zippers. They are a little flimsy and like to come a part easily, but once you get use to them it is no biggy. It is a great jacket

Intake Air 3 jacket - FJR Jim   TN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fits great, air flow is as good as it gets, lots of features
    Cons: None so far...

I usually get the joe rocket Phoenix jackets, but this was around the same price so I thought I would try it. Glad I did. It is a little big on me without the liner and under-jacket, but that just let's more air flow when moving. The padding stays in place very well. Most importantly, the zipper works very well. Tons of pockets

Air 3 - Doc   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Very well designed and constructed
    Cons: None

I don't often review products but this jacket deserves one. I ordered this Fri and received it todayTues so kudos to CA for fast shipping. On to the jacket. First, sizing I'm 5'11 175 lbs and wear a 42 jacket. My arms are slightly long 34 sleeve. The medium as recommended in the sizing chart fits perfectly, with the liners in it was snug but not tight and the sleeves are perfect length. However, as another reviewer noted the sleeves aren't large. So if you are heavier or have large arms you might want to go with the large size. Second, construction. It is very well made using high quality materials. There are some very nice touches the cuffs are bell shaped allowing gloves to be worn outside or inside the sleeve. Large outside pockets and many inside pockets. The waterproof liner is lined with soft mesh making it very comfortable. the padded tail is long enough to cover your lower back when leaning forward. All of the protectors should provide good protection and were in the right places, no adjustment required. They aren't race grade but should be more than adequate for the road hopefully I'll never get the chance to test them. The mesh has a larger area then my other jacket, the Teknic supervent so it should give even better airflow on hot daysAll in all this is a very good jacket which will be suitable for three season use. I am very happy that i bought it. and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Pros: It's a Tourmaster. Great all weather jacket, that fits well and protects.
    Cons: There are no cons.

This is the third Tourmaster AIR jacket that I have owned. Nice and cool in the summer with great protection. Nice and warm with the included liners for cold air riding. This is a well made product, just like you would expect from Tourmaster.

Great Jacket - Hogryd   NV Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Tourmaster Quality and Versatility of the Intake Air 3
    Cons: NONE

Have had the Intake Air 2 for four years and it has been fantastic. Use it for riding on my BMW dualsport and Harley. Bought the Intake Air 3 for my Harley rides so both will last longer. A few changes but still a great jacket in cool wheather or the hot weather we have in Nevada. Protection all the time.

Great Jacket - Silver   IA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Excellent air flow, Hi-VIz is BRIGHT, very comfortable.
    Cons: None yet.

This jacket gets more comfortable the more you wear it. Good quality, very good aire flow without the liners and very good warmth and wind protection with the liners. I have not had the opportunity to test the water proof liner yet. The Hi-Viz really pops and I notice people SEEING me. The longer sleeves annoyed me at first bu they do cover your wristsgloves nice when it is cooler. I am very happy with this jacket and would highly recommend it as a very good 3 season jacket.

Mesh for nearly all year - Trepidator   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Hi-Vis really stands out, more than most. Liner almost makes it fallspring too.
Cons: Main zipper a little fidgety to get engaged.

I bought this thinking it would be for just the hottest days. Now I wear it on many other days because it is easy to just use a pullover to make it a bit warmer, or not when sun has been on pavement awhile. As winter approaches, the liner with a pullover or two make this an equivalent of a heavier jacket. It should be purchased with some extra space. That helps air flow around the chest, and leaves room for those pullovers when airflow is not so critical.

TM Intake Air3 Jacket - Mike   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Well made
Cons: sleeves a bit tight with liners

This is a well made mesh jacket with very good protection for the money. The only gripe I have is the sleeves are tight with the liners in. They have snap cinches on the forearms to adjust them, but they are completely useless. The forearms are just right on the loosest adjustment wo the liners in. I'm 5'10' & 195lbs. The large is perfect otherwise. If you plan to use this as a 3 season jacket with the liners, you may want to go up a size. I bought this as a summer only mesh jacket and am happy with it.

cool jacket - goezy007   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Fit, pockets
    Cons: sleeve length very long

Jacket does a great job with airflow. If riding on a cool morning 60's I have found have something around the neck helps and a long sleeve. Otherwise it is a chilly ride. Yes summers in CA do get chilly, especially on San Francisco Peninsula.Fit & finish is good. Jacket is comfortable. I recently rode in the Sacramento CA area - 100degrees - and was not hot. Looks like it maybe a 3 season jacket. I ride all year & my other TourMaster jacket Transition 3 is waterproof - without the waterpoof liner like this jacket. I ride a F6B Honda Goldwing Cruiser - full faring. A minor warning. I am 6'4' with 38' sleeve length and wear a 3x. The 3x regular jacket sleeves are way to long even for me. That is why 4 and not 5 stars.

Nice Jacket - Lubedude   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Nice lookng jacket . Quality seems first rate.
Cons: Fit is a little bit over size. The jacket is heavier than it looks, but probably because of the first grade material.

I like the jacket. It is first rate. I have received compliments on the look. The jacket is a bit bulky and the sleeves seem a little longer than necessary. Have not worn the jacket with the liners both in, although they were in when I tried it on. I am afraid a smaller size would not allow me to wear with the liners installed.

Tourmaster Intake Air Jacket - Bob M.   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: good for all weather ridiing comfort
Cons: Looks bulky with shoulder & elbow padding

I have an older model, blackwhite. Good all season riding jacket. Zip in liners sufficient for earlylate season riding comfort. Zip out liners for riding in warmer weather with protection.

i have had their jackets before and have always been pleased...worth the cost in my opinion..i bought the black and silver.i do hope the black doesnt fade out.although i did get 5 years out of my other tour master

Tourmaster Intake Air 3 - Dave L.   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good value, nice construction, looks good.
Cons: wearing all three layers changes the sizing mesh has no crash resistance

I like and recommend this jacket for comfort, fit and looks, but there are a few problems I am replacing a mediumtall with another mediumtall after a minor low-side really chewed up the mesh part of the sleeve. My first jacket fit perfectly, but the second replacement one is too long in the sleeves. Did Tourmaster change the sizing of the talls Also, if you buy one that fits without the three layers, it won't fit WITH the three layers, so even though that inner warmth layer seems like a good idea, I never use mine. Also the velcro strap around the cuff wears out way too soon. Still, all things considered it's a good jacket.

Nice fit - KHall   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great fit. Warm in the very cool and cool in the warm
    Cons: Inside zippers

I love this jacket I have worn it when temperatures were down in the low 30s and was warm with the liners. I have also worn it in warm 80 degree days and was very comfortable. My only complaint is the zippers to hold the liners in are small and i have had them split from the bottom on a few different occasions. However it is always easy to get them back apart and fix. I generally wear a large and that is what I ordered for the jacket. It is a great fit. Very true to size.

Intake Air 3 - Phil O'Hagan   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Versatile, well-made, good quality
    Cons: Complicated attachment, very heavy

As with all Tourmaster products, this is a very well-made garment. This is proven in the weight of the garment. It is very heavy. The reflective material on the jacket, while slim, is very visible when light strikes it. The 1st thing I did when I received this was to remove the liners. The liners are a waterproof liner and a thermal liner which can be used individually or together. While Tourmaster marks the connectors in white and gray to differentiate them, this is not a jacket that you want to be putting together on the road. The many zippers and hook and loop connectors that are used to make the jacket so good 10 to make putting it together a pain in the ass. Thus, most people use this as a summer jacket and a winter jacket while not bothering to play with it in spring and fall.I would guess that trying to put the rain liner in while on the road will be complicated and neither is quick nor easy as putting on a rain jacket.

Tourmaster Mesh DA2 Jacket - Michael K.   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Does what they say.
    Cons: Hard to say.

This is a good jacket for warm or cool weather. I was a little surprised when I wore it out on a 90 day. I was pleased how the air passed through the jacket while I was moving, not so pleased when I came to a traffic light. Once you're moving maybe 25 MPH the air passes through good so I suppose it would help to partially unzip while riding in town. On a trip this jacket would be just the ticket although I had a little trouble folding it up to get it into my saddle bag. Haven't tried the liner yet but it all goes together well and I'm sure it will do good. I do really like the 360 reflective piping, I like visibility. Pads on shoulders back and elbows certainly offer more protection than my old denim jacket, got a lot more pocket space too. I also have a Tourmaster Saber riding coat which I also really like for when the weather gets cold, great for January rides. I feel that Tourmaster makes a great product.

Pros: Sized right, shipped quickly, performed as advertised
    Cons: None to mention

Had the jacket for just few weeks. Liner made it perfect for the cool morning rides to work, then pulled it for the summer temps. Plenty of air without the sun. Wish I had it for our recent 3000 mile ride thru the South. Liked it so well I bought for my brother.

Pros: Well made, heavy zippers, solid protection points in elbows, shoulders, and back. zip out rain jacket
Cons: it's a little heavy, with our 90-100 degree temps, it's still a bit warm, but WAY better than a leather jacket

In my opinion, Tour Master has always made great items, this is no exception. The feel of this jacket installs confidence, if it is ever needed, it seems durable and heavy enough to protect you, but does breath when the rain jacket is removed. it's a bit heavier than I expected, but overall it is a great jacket

Good everyday all purpose jacket - Ed   NJ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Good fit
    Cons: Velcro could be better

I saw this Draft Air 2 and having owned a their Transition jacket for years maybe version 1 or 2 which never failed me in all kinds of weather, I'm glad I bought this. Even though the Transition jacket has a lot of vents, this mesh is a lot cooler. Already having the Transition jacket, I just ordered the same size, Large because I have a 35 arm length and am 6 tall and it fits the same. It is a little loose withuout the inner shell but not annoying and it is a mesh jacket that allows to put an extra layer if needed. The only con is that velcro closures for the arm sleeves and cuffs could be a little more robust but they hold together well. My Transition jacket uses snaps for the upper arm and the wider velcro for the cuffs. I got caught in a few downpours without the liner and suprised I didn't get that soaked as much I would have thought and it dried out quick. I use it most every day as my main summer jacket. It has enough pockets both inner and outer to hold most all essentail stuff. While I can't speak for other products out there, this is a good jacket.

Tourmaster Draft Air 2 Mesh jacket - Brian From Plymouth   MN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, breathable and on sale
Cons: Why use black material on a jacket designed to be cool

This jacket does exactly what it was designed to do. I was comfortable up to about 85 while motorcycling in southern United States. Even with the full Gold Wing fairing I felt a nice breeze blowing through the jacket. My only complaint would be I was wearing a lightweight nylon fishing shirt underneath the jacket and the Velcro snagged the nylon quite badly. A cotton T-shirt would be a better choice.

Great Tourmaster Product - Super jacket - sizing runs big   MI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Quality, zipper, configuration with liner, adjustments, appearance blacksilver
    Cons: Sizing required a return

I have had many Tourmaster jackets, and at 5' 11 and 180lbs I am always a large in this brand, or Joe Rocket, but a Large was huge with way to much torso material and the sleeves were baggy. A Medium is a perfect fit, no way it's even on the snug side. Very odd but if you are fine in a Large with no issues, get a M.Adjustments are great, the zipper is easy and smooth and the styling is great. It goes with a Harley or sport bike no problem. HIp level pull straps and forearm velco adjusters help tightening it all down. There is no tight pull down for the neck line, but then this is a warm weather jacket and why I got it. Very pleased and recommend it, especially at the Comp Acc pricing.

Pros: Good protection, good ventilation, good selection of colors, lightweight, fits great.
Cons: Ordered this on sale at a fair price. A week later it goes on close out sale for even less.....the story of my life

Ive been looking for a mesh summer jacket for about a year now. Looked at all the different brands and options that each model had. I already have a 3 season jacket First Gear Kenya that works great as long as it stays below 80 degrees. Had my eye on the Tourmaster Draft Air 2 in silverblack because of the armor, removable liner, and mesh coverage. Im 5' 8 43chest and weight 186lbs. Based on the video reviews of this and other vendors, I ordered a medium and this jacket fits perfectly in the shoulders, chest, arms and length, with or without the liner Competition Accessories had the best price of anyone and shipping was super fast. Also, I now have some Comp-A Cash towards my next order Thumbs up to you guys. I am a very satisfied customer. Keep up the good work.

Great value - stromrider   MA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: versatile, great ventilation
Cons: little fuller in the body than needed

I started wearing this jacket as soon as I got it and took it around the Gaspe peninsula and Ontario Highlands last summer. With the liner in and a fleece top underneath, it's good down to 50. Below that, I wear a heated liner and gloves. I also carry Froggs Toggs. I find that with layering, I'm covered in any weather. I've got a FG Kilimanjaro I only wear in cold weather on day rides. Otherwise, I grab the mesh jacket. I'm 5'8 and 175 lbs and the Medium is plenty big enough to layer.

Draft mesh jacket - JC in NC   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Lightweight, ventilates well, good reflectivity, price
Cons: Sizing is way off, light duty velcro

What a great jacket for the nasty heat and humidity we get here in central NC. This jacket flows great and keeps the sun off you as well as any other brand mesh jacket I've owned. It's got plenty of pockets, although they ought to be a little bigger for today's mobile phones. The reflective patches work great and I personally like the lightweight feel of this jacket. once you get the right size it fits great in all the right places. Thing is I haven't worn a medium anything since middle school, but that's what this thing needed. Overall this is a great buy at this price.

Pros: Large fits well, comfortable and attractive
Cons: Lining is cumbersome to remove and attach

The garment is well made and comfortable. It looks like the photo and the large fits me well. The jacket permits good freedom of movement and the armor stays in place. The lining is a bit cumbersome to remove and attach but not a major issue.

Good ventilation - LowCountryDuck   SC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good flow of air when moving liner adds versatility good value at this price
Cons: Hard to cinch down loose fabric in shoulder area to prevent flopping

The jacket appears well made and offers many convenient extra features such as pockets and reflective piping. Air flows well through the mesh when moving and contributes to comfort on the hot, humid days we get in South Carolina. The water- and wind-resistant liner also appears well made and was easy to remove. I don't expect to ever use it since I have other riding gear to take care of the conditions for which I would need it, but it should the versatility of the jacket for riders that can use it. My greatest complaint has to do with what appears to be excess volume in the shoulder areas, which flops around in a noisy, irritating manner at highway speed. This may be needed to accommodate a range of body types, but if so then the maker needs to provide some means to cinch it down as is done in the forearms and biceps areas.
