Tourmaster Solution 2.0 BootsHey guys, this is Reuben with Competition Accessories. Welcome to our review of the Tourmaster Solution 2.0. Now the solution 2.0 and the original Tourmaster Solution boots have been some of the most popular waterproof boot styles that we have sold here at Competition Accessories. Now the Tourmaster Solution 2.0 has been out for a little while now and weve had a chance to really put it through its paces, try it on, see how it fits, how it feels, how long it lasts, and we have been really impressed. Weve got tons of customer reviews on our website if you want to jump on there at the end of this video and read some customer feedback on them. The best thing about them is the price. These are not going to break the bank. They retail for 119 bucks and we sell them for under 110 so you can jump on there and see what our current price is but theyre a really, really valuable boot for the money. Im definitely very impressed. The other thing thats really attractive about the Solution 2.0 is its going to work for such a huge variety of riders whether youre a commuter thats on the bike everyday, or if your planning a longer trip where you dont know what kind of weather your going to encounter the Solution 2.0 is going to work just great. Even this style of boot can work well for a sport bike guy if your not looking for the ultimate protection and not going to the track all the time the Solution 2.0 is great option for you guys in that segment also. One thing that I really like about it, obviously, is it has a built in HiPora Membrane, which is going to be waterproof, thats the key feature for it. I will open the boot up here you will see that there is a Velcro flap thats going to cover the main zipper. There is Velcro on the end of the zipper as well which helps hold the zipper pull up in place. And then you see that internal waterproof membrane this gusset underneath the zipper here extends pretty much all the way to the top of the boot. What that does for you is its going to prevent water from coming in behind the zipper here and even if you were to ride through some big puddles where water is washing up over your feet, as long as water doesnt get over the top of the boot and run down inside these are going to do a great job of keeping your feet dry. Now HiPora has some really neat properties to it. It not only keeps the water out, its also a very breathable material, so for those warmer days when your feet might be getting a little hotter, it does a fairly good job of breathing and allowing your foot to breath so its not super hot. Now I will say any waterproof boot, if its 90 degrees out and middle of summer, your feet are probably going to get a little toasty in them. But the flip side of that is if you do get caught in the rain theyre going to keep your feet nice and dry and in cold weather obviously it helps block a bit more wind and keep your feet nice and warm inside the boot. The inside is lined with a nice soft material they do have what they call their Techno GI thermoplastic heel cup and toecap. So you have a heel cup around the back here thats inside the boot for support and protection. The toe box is reinforced as well, thats going to keep it nice and comfortable when shifting but also add some protection as well if you were to go down, tumble and hit the front of your foot on something thats going to help reinforce that area and keep you comfortable. Some built in armor over the anklebone, thats there not only for impact protection but also for abrasion resistance. Obviously leather does a good job but if you were to go down, your foot is underneath your bike its going to help prevent any wear or damage to your ankle and your foot inside the boot. On the sole of the boot you have some nice tread design. I really like the sole of the solution 2s cause theyre really comfortable off the bike also, so if youre like me and ride some events whether its bike night or some kind of open house or charity fund-raiser type of event or your riding somewhere then your off the bike walking around for hours, you know the last thing you need is a really stiff uncomfortable boot thats really hurting your feet all day long. So these boots are going to give you really sure footing but they are also fairly flexible so you can walk around in comfort. The foot bed that they use inside these is orthopedic, has some arch support in it, and it also absorbs vibration so if your bike has a little bit of buzz in the foot pegs or anything these are going to help absorb that as well. If you want to look down here at my foot, I actually have one of the Solution 2s on my foot and you can see what it looks like with jeans on. Very comfortable boot, as far as sizing goes, I pretty much always wear a size 10 or a 44. No different with the Solution 2. They are just right, I would say if you are kind of in between sizes especially if you have a slightly wider foot you probably want to go up a size. But I typically take a size 10 sometimes I have to go up a size 10.5 in tennis shoes depending on the width but on these particular ones I find that I can wear the size 10 and they fit just right so very comfortable as far as flexibility goes. You can walk around as I mentioned all day long in comfort in the Solution 2.0 and again you cant beat that price for under 120 bucks youre getting a fully featured waterproof motorcycle boot. So check out these Solution 2.0s from Tourmaster on our website, at competitionaccessories.com and dont forget most of your orders here at competition accessories are going to ship for free and you can earn up to 5% comp-a-cash back to use toward future purchases. Our Thoughts
The Tourmaster Dri-Mesh Gloves are very light for a rain glove. The mesh on the back of the hand is like basketball jersey material. The inside liner that keeps the wet off is kind of like wetsuit material, and is thin. They are an excellent medium weight glove that still keep you warm in the 40s to 50s and they are waterproof.

Big hands - Mike   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Nice to find gloves for large handed people
    Cons: [None]

I have not gotten them wet yet, but have no concern about them doing the job.

Good Quality - BrianWest58   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Breathable, comfortable and true to size
    Cons: Liner can bunch up.

Just as in Reuben's video review, these gloves aren't for everyday wear. They have a good wrist closer and are comfortable while allowing some ventilation. My hands never got that hot sensation while moving but being waterproof, the liner wants to cling to the fingers when removing. Great rain protection and I keep them with my rain suit. Excellent price point for the quality.

Tourmaster Dri-Mesh Gloves Mens - Hoosier40   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: True fit, great quality.
    Cons: None

The fit is true to size. I can tell they are made very well. Have 2 riding buddies that have had these for 2 seasons without sign of wear.

Excelent product - Eduard Garca   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes

I have four pairs of motorcycle riding gloves. I use the Tour Master Dri-Mesh pair on about 90 percent of my rides. They are warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Because of these gloves I am now a devoted customer of Tour Master products.

    lee
I bought these gloves 2 mo. ago rode with them twice once
in 90 degrees my hands stayed comfortable and once in 47 degrees and rain , they kept my hands dry and comfortabe. great gloves!!

Tourmaster Dri-Mesh gloves - Rainey   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Lighter late Spring and Summer gloves. Very good at keeping your hands dry in tha rain
Cons: Need to come up another 1 to 2 inches higher on your wrist.

When you get stuck in the rain, even when it is a light rain, you have to remember to keep your rainsuit jacket down and over the tops of these gloves, to prevent the rain water from running down into the tops of these gloves. As long as you do this, they will NOT leak, and they actually will keep your hands very dry. I rode in a very heavy downpour of rain for over 2 hours, and these gloves kept my hands dry. They run true to size however, you may want to keep in consideration that they are sometimes a little difficult to pull off when they are wet I opted to order the next biggest size, and they are much easier to take off and especially put back on when they are wet. I would have given these gloves a 5 rating if the tops of the gloves came up a little higher. That would make them much easier to tuck up underneath your rain jacket. They are well-worth the price, and take up very little room to carry with you.

Tourmaster Dri-Mesh Gloves Mens - Rudy   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: The gloves fit well for the size ordered. They are flexible and not stiff like other gloves.
    Cons: none

I have not used them in the rain yet which is mostly what I bought them for.

Works as advertised - Daily Commuter   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Water proof, through 2 hours of pouring rain
Cons: Very Hot when not raining, very little protection

Wore these from WVA to NOVA in 2 hours of pouring rain and kept my hands dry. If its not raining, you sweat and then the liner sticks to your hands.

Tourmaster Dri- Mesh Gloves - Derek B   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Quality Materials, Fit nicely, Cushion on heel of hands
Cons: No cushion on the callous part of hand

Nicely made, good fit. Haven't tried them in the rain yet. The only thing that I would like to see more glove makers do, is put some kind of cushion or extra layer of protection on the part of the hand where most of us get callous. It has a nicely cushioned heel of the hand in case of a spill. So far they have been comfortable.

great gloves - eric v   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: price, comfortable in warm weather, not bulky
Cons: not for very cold weather

Love these gloves. Bought them in the spring and wore them for all my summer riding. Never rode with them in the rain but after about an hour in 40 deg. weather hands were hurting from the cold. Would def. recommend for summer riding.

Good Gloves - Tim   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great quality, fair price, good shipping
    Cons: Fit is almost perfect

Very well made gloves, but like shoes it's better if you can try them on before buying. One glove is just slightly large maybe that hand is slightly small, but these are wearable and good for riding.

Ok not great - Frank   GA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Sized true
    Cons: Doesn't breath well.

The gloves are warm if temp above 76. Hands then sweaty and lining sticks to the hands

Tourmaster Dri-Mesh Gloves - Mike   OH Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: They fit well
Cons: They don't flow air, but do flow water

As was noted in another review, the liner of these things sticks to sweaty hands and pulls out of the glove when removed. It is difficult to put back in especially if hands are still sweaty. They flow no discernable air, but the single time I rode them in the rain, my hands were soaked afterwards.

dont waste your money - charlie   TN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: none
Cons: do not keep your hands drive

rode in a 20 minute rain and my hands were soaked. if you need a pair of that really keep your hands dry do not buy these. The tourmaster name is better than this

Tourmaster Dri-Mesh Gloves - Rizzo   NY Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: [None]
    Cons: Not Waterproof

Very disappointed in these gloves. They were completely soaked through after 30 minutes into a rainy ride. The internal liner pulls out of the glove when taking them off making it very difficult to put them back on.

Intake Air Mesh - R11Sman   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Reasonable price, well made, accurate sizing chart and great airflow
    Cons: None yet.

Bought these 1st pair of mesh for summer riding based on reviews, price and Tourmaster brand reputation. Just as expected they have the very same quality as my Tourmaster Intake Air jacket. A surprising amount of airflow considering the protection level and construction of these gloves. Haven't had any 90 days since I started wearing them but plenty of 80-85 degree weather. In the last 1500 miles they have broken in nicely and now fit very comfortably. I used to wear a pair of deerskin thin gloves for summer riding but didn't realize how hot they were til these. Follow sizing chart and make sure you measure both hands as one may be slightly different.

Great Gloves My Fourth Pair. - Midnight Rider   TN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Excellent Wearing Gloves. Great for all Non-Winter Riding.
Cons: Weak Cuff, that is Easy to Tear Over a Period of Use.

I absolutely love these gloves. I ride about 12000 miles a year, most of which are from Mar to Nov. These are the perfect gloves for 55 degree weather. Plus if you happen to get them wet, they dry very well. I usually go through one pair every 18 - 24 months. The only drawback to these gloves is the weak cuff which will rip over a period of use. However, for me that never happens until the 18th month of use. This is my fourth pair. Silver & Black are my favourite & they also help in visibility during the day. I am & will continue to be a repeat customer for these gloves.

Light & cool - Silver Eagle   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Light, cool, covers wrist
Cons: None that I can think of

These are my favorite gloves. They are light, cool and they cover my wrist. This is my second pair of tour master gloves. The first pair lasted about 6 years & 10000 miles before the Velcro started to come off glove. It could have been sewed back on and probably gone a couple of more years, but I'm happy with my new gloves. They look and feel the same, I can really feel the wind through them when I'm riding.

    Pros: Very good glove
    Cons: None

Needed something for this Texas heat and some protection. Tour Master makes a good product, these gloves have good ventilation and are lite weight. They are well made and very nice looking. I would prefer the Velcro wrist fastening to be across the back of the wrist but, that is only a preference. I would recommend this glove to friends and other riders.

My Favoite Gloves - Silver Eagle   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Cool, comfortable, flexible
    Cons: Velcro

These are my favorite gloves. I've got leather gloves, winter gloves, water proof gloves, and these. Hands down I'd rather wear these and have cold wet hands than the others. So consequently I've worn these for most of the last six years of riding. But now after six years the fabric is starting to frey and the Velcro has come loose on one glove. I may have it sewn back on until I receive a replacement pair, as these are hands down the most comfortable riding gloves I have.

Extra warmth, no bulk - JC in NC   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Lightweight, breathable, thin but warm
    Cons: Snags on velcro

I had an older pair of these silk liners that I lost. I went through numerous other brands and models of glove liners looking for something better and or more cost-effective. In the end, I really think these silk liners are the best out there. The sheerness allows for very little bulk while still being warm. I can slip these under any of my best fitting gloves and they impede finger motion very little. While they're not ideal for sub-zero temperatures, they do extend my riding ability in colder weather. The only negative is they do snag on velcro easily and that will start pulling them apart. If you can be careful about putting them on, it is a non-issue.

TourMaster Gloves - Sean from Ga   GA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Superior comfort
    Cons: [None]

This is my second pair of these gloves - I'm glad they started making them again. The first pair finally wore out after about 4 years and 10's of thousands of miles. They are super soft and very comfortable. I prefer the light colored gloves for two reasons, first is that they make hand signals easier for others to see - especially in low light conditions. Second, when I'm caught in the rain they don't leave my hands stained like my older traditional black gloves do. Although I ride in any weather, I wear these in temps from about 50 on up faired bike. After 26 years of riding and MANY different pairs of gloves I feel these are the best I've had.

These are fantastic gloves for warm-weather riding. The padding helps reduce vibration fatigue and the mesh keeps you nice and cool on hot days. Padding in knuckle is comfortable and feels like it would do a good job of protecting you in a spill - luckily, I haven't tested that part. Do feel that the hook-and-loop wrist closure is unnecessary as wrist is already sewn with an accordion-style elastic that holds the glove on just fine. As with many other MC gloves, I orderd one size up from the Large I usually wear and the XL fits very well. And they are quite stylish, too! Very pleased with my purchase in the summer of 2011.

    Cons: short cuff

I have another pair of tourmaster gloves that are a size XL but went with size chart and ordered a L. At first I thought I had made a mistake but after wearing for awhile they fit great. So far construction seems to be top notch.Mesh on top of hand and fingers keeps hands comfortable even on 100 degree days. My only complaint is that the cuff is too short. If the cuff was an inch longer I would have given them a five star rating.

    Cons: Run small

    I'd order a larger size.

Pros: Comfortable. The vibration from my 1985 BMW K100 handlebars is much less noticeable. Have several other models of Tourmaster gloves and like them all.
Cons: A little snug - I should have ordered a size larger.

Good gloves to dampen vibration and for mild and warm weather riding. If you're riding and the temp is in the upper 40's or lower you'll need heavier gloves.

    Pros: Look nice, feel decent.
Cons: Glove size at least one size smaller than tag indicates.

These gloves were a pretty good bargain and look really nice but,...they are at least one size smaller than indicated on the tag. I have big hands, so I ordered the 2XLs. When I first put them on, they felt like Larges. Since they are leather, I know they will eventually stretch and they have after riding a few hundred miles, but not quite to the point of where I find I like my gloves to be.

Comfortable - Probie13   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: They Breath Very Well, Fit true to size, not bulky
Cons: seems like they could use some more velcro on the writsts if you like a tight fit on the wrist

Great glove. Only been able to wear them a couple times due to cold weather. Those few times though they felt good while riding. A true summer glove.

Old Fashioned, but good. - Pakleo   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Deerskin Comfortable. Look good. Easy to use with an insert.
Cons: Not preformed to hand shape.

Nothing looks, feels and is as comfortable as deerskin. You can wear an insert for cooler weather, but this is a warm weather glove and I think would benefit from being more formed to the shape of a hand like the newer looking gloves. Still, leather in a color other than disappear against the highway black is a great choice. When mine age out I'll be buying another pair.

Nice fitting gloves, true to size. Not for temps below 60 degrees. Soft leather, BUT leaves your hands blackened from the dyes.

Not worth the price - zewerw   TX Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: fairly warm to 38 degrees
    Cons: not waterproof...

right out the gate I pulled off one of the plastic tips on the gauntlet drawstrings while tightening them down on the first wear... the first major downpour I was in the gloves just got more and more soaked so much so they became heavy on my hands, not to mention the fact that the more they got soaked the water seeped thru and it was a cold ride about 42 degrees that day which takes me about 30 mins to make so by the time I got home, my hands were numb and very much in pain, took me about an hour to warm my hands back up completely... I DO NOT recommend this product for rain... in the cold they do ok by themselves down to about 40 Deg and with liners down to about 30 deg... but not with heavy downpours.

Just OK - Red1   NJ Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: Less dye, good vent,
    Cons: Tight, small, less protection.

These glove are OK only if you don't have any other gloves to wear. Buy the next size up because they are not truer to size. The dye bleeds less than other brands is the only good thing I can say. I bought gloves at the competition for half the price with more protection on the knuckles and palm but they still bleed dye after a year of wearing them. I like the Tourmaster products I have bought in the past and figured that the gloves would be just as good. I was wrong, IMHO looks for something else.

    Pros: Good quality, fair price
Cons: molded knuckle guards not sized for me

The should be tried on before buying. The quality is good, but the molded knuckle guards don't fit properly and hurt when in traffic and holding the clutch in.

Not Bad - Mike G   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Decent Quality Good price
Cons: Excessive material on some fingers

Overall good quality, some flop on top of some of the fingers. Have not worn them yet as the season is month or two away. On me the width seems fine but the finger length is too long. Solid construction good material and quality stitch work

Tourmaster Cold Tex Gloves - chefonahonda   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Nice and thick, warm enough down to 50 degrees
Cons: Hands still get cold at 40 degrees and 60mph, a bit bulky, good fit

Bought these for the cold weather riding and they work OK, a bit bulky and had to get used to them but glad I have them.

Pros: Light weight for Summer use.
Cons: Stitched seams twisted across finger tips.

These gloves are airy for Summer use but the fingers on one were twisted and the seam fell right across my finger tips. Very uncomfortable. I couldn't wear them. Sent them back for aa refund.

Not a good choice - lwbclark   Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: Windbreak on back of hand is effective
Cons: NOT waterproof, poorly executed liner

Do not believe the product description I bought these as warm gloves for wet weather. While they are wam when used on my electric grips they are not waterproof. I think water resistant would be an exaggeration. The gloves are well insulated and might be ok for cool dry weather but they are no good for any level of rain. To make things worse, the liner is not well attached to the shell and the material sticks to wet skin like glue. This means that, if your hands, are at all wet or the glove has soaked through and you're putting it back on you have to fight to get them on and the liner will bunch up. I'll be replacing these with a Klim set.

easy riptear - zewerw   TX Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: none
    Cons: too thin

the silk gets caught on the hook side of velcro and just wreaks havoc on these gloves... my pair only lasted about a month before they completely fell apart at the seams... they only add about 10 degrees of warmth... so, not worth the price at all..
