Information and Details about the Sliders Quest 4 Jackets
made by Sliders
Sliders Quest 4 Jackets are loaded with vent pockets to keep you cool and comfortable when you want to be. You're the boss, you control how much airflow you want. Sliders Quest 4 Jacket vents are located at the shoulders, torso, sleeves, armpit and two rear exit vents. A rain hood is hidden under the collar to be easily accessible for those pop-up thunderstorms that we all need to be prepared for. Adjustable waist straps and wrist closures on the Quest 4 Jacket allow you to design a perfect individual fit. The Quest is designed to keep you safe in a crash, cool in the heat and warm when it is cold out. Because of this it has numerous vents and a mesh liner. The outer fabric is waterproof and the zippers are too, but there is no waterproof mid-liner. This means the jacket will really flow air if you open a vent, but it is not 100% waterproof. Sure it will certainly shed most of the rain that you get into, but it may leak a little if you are really getting poured on. So, we recommend you keep a rainsuit handy for heavy rains or extended foul weather riding.

Sliders Quest 4 Jacket Features:
  • Ballistic Nylon / Poly Shell Construction with Genuine DupontTM Kevlar(r) Protection in critical areas.
  • Rubberized YKK Water Resistant Zippers
  • Under Collar Rain Hood
  • Fully Sleeved Thermal Liner System
  • Tons of Ventilation: Shoulders, Torso, Sleeve, Armpit, and Two Rear Exit Vents
  • CE Approved Armor on Elbows and Shoulders
  • Foam Back Pad

  • Adjustable Waist Straps
  • 3 Position Sleeve Take Ups on Arms
  • Adjustable Wrist Closures
  • Silver Phoslite Reflective Piping
  • Sliders Reflective Safety Badges
  • Plenty of Storage Pockets for Touring
  • Large Rear Storage Pocket
  • 1 Year Manufacture Warranty

NOTE: Although this garment has been designed with waterproof fabric and zippers, a rain suit is still recommended for extended wet weather riding or heavy rain.

A guy who bought one. - Karl in WA   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Lots of pockets, adjustments, and length
    Cons: None found

I love the fact that the pouch pockets are easily accessible, The coat appears well made and at the moment without having worn it much I'm still happy.

Sliders Quest 4 Jacket with Kevlar - Grandmother   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Good Protection
    Cons: Very Heavy

I am a 67 year old Grandmother who could not afford to buy a car, so I bought a motor scooter yes a scooter not a motorcycle that was too heavy for me to keep upright, Safety is a major issue for me. I did a lot of research to learn what motorcycle gear will provide the most protection. A kevlar jacket was highly recommended. Yes it is heavy very heavy for a 67 year old woman, but I feel like I have some hope of survival when I go down. Also with all the vents, it is comfortable in hot weather. I am having fun and feel relatively safe.

GREAT COAT - Dan M   IA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: very well made, tons of adjustment,
    Cons: none

Wonderful coat with a BUNCH of great features, it is just a little heavy but that's because of how well its made one of the reviews I read before I bought mine was , it did not feel heavy when on and they were right. love the blaze orange being seen is how to avoid accidents. think the price was worth the quality.

A Home Run - Ferdo   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good Ventilation, VG protection and great in rain.
Cons: A little heavy, but not noticeable while riding. Snug fit with liner.

Have ridden with the Quest 4 for a bit more than a month. Have no complaints with quality of materials or manufacture - everything seems well put together. Seems like a very good 3 season jacket, but I was stuck in 90 degree temps for a couple of weeks. Still, jacket kept me well cool whjile riding, but heated up when stopped as expected. Only experienced a little rain no problem with this puppy. I Got the XL 5'8 and 220, so .... which generally fits me - this was snug but not too long in the sleeve length, which I was concerned with ahead fo time. I think the 2XL would have been too much in all dimensions. As the CompAcc video review stated, it runs pretty much true to size and it's worth checking out the video reviews before ordering. CompAcc ordering is a breeze and delivery is amazingly quick. As a returnee to the sport, CompAcc has won my business and is a first stop for me when looking for any gear.

Sturdy, pretty good venting, good deal - Jim   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Sturdy, pretty good venting, good deal
Cons: Not many...Bulkybaggy tends to ride up when seated, balloon at highway speeds

I entered some cons but to be honest this is a great jacket for the money. I personally am not a big fan of the waste-coat look as it looks bulkybaggy and this jacket can look like that however, consider it's not leather and consider what it's supposed to do rain, wind resistance and keep your skin on you should you go a'sliding down the asphalt at 60 mph. So I can over look the baggy look a bit. When it is not zipped to pants, it tends to ride up when seated maybe not on a racer, but on a cruiser it does to the point where the collar was pressing against the lower rim of my full face helmet and interfering a bit with my ability to turn my head...not COMPLETELY interfering, just sort of annoying. I like the way the lining attaches...the hook and loop arraignment in the sleeves are color coded for correct placement and the attachment points feel study enough.Lots of generous pockets...always nice. Zip up chest pocket has elastic loop pen holders...thoughtful touch and nice to have. Padding in shoulders, elbows feels adequate. Easily removed for cleaning.Waste can be cinched.Zips into sliders riding pants...which would probably help with the riding up. Probably zip into other brands, haven't checkedThe left sleeve has a small pocket right above the cuff with the universal emergency crossed X's embroidered in red. Nifty idea for contact information. I don't know how many emergency personnel would actually look there if I was found out cold in a ditch, but its a nice touch I also use it for the key-less start fob, a spare 20, and ear plugs...won't hold much moreGood venting, but still quite warm on hot days without the lining. With vents open at highway speeds it will balloon up on me more than my leather. Maybe a bigger back vent or more back vents would help I dunno, I don't design these things for a livingI got the hi -vz and it really is an eye catcher. I've seen more than one car driver do a double take at an intersection...I personally think being seen is equal to staying alive. I wear it especially on gray days or if I know I'll be out when its dark.Took it for a spin at highway speeds when temp was low 40's wind chill would be about 20 something at 65 mph. Stayed warm with the lining in.Lastly, its fabric, so unlike my leather jacket, when it gets that gamey, locker-room-in-the-summer, guy smell and starts walking around on its own, I can wash it padding comes out

Kevlar coat - Big Dan   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: excellent construction
    Cons: a little heavy

very well made, lots of adjustments and options for the ventilation and lots of pockets for small items

ralphn0 - ralphn0   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Well finished and designed
Cons: I fit just a little bit snug.

I recommend this jacket for the price it cost me.

09 Bandit - Marty   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Excellent Fit, great venting, great pockets, feels heavy when carrying but when you put it on weight is not an issue at all. Bought Hi Viz Yellow and luv it.
    Cons: Can't think of any.

Overall great jacket at a great price. I would recommend this to everyone.

No Brainer - Linkz   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Too much to list.
Cons: Sleeves run short unless tall is ordered. Heavy.

Bought this jacket after looking at the pictures of it because it looked like it had everything I ever wanted in a jacket. Turns out it does I cant think of another jacket that is as well constructed and under 200. When going down the interstate on my KLR650 with all the vents open it might as well not be there this thing flows air like you wouldn't believe. I look cool to boot as well. I just wish they still had LG Tall so I could exchange for that but I love this jacket so much Im willing to put up with the short sleeves and just buy longer gloves till the Quest 5 comes out this Fall. Would deff recommend this product. 6'-190lb-Muscular.

Slider Quest 4 - Rider in WI   WI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: A warm jacket
Cons: none that I've found so far

This is an excellent jacket Hi-Vis Yellow. Lots of pockets and gadget pouches. I road at 31 degrees mid-March and was very comfortable. It's kind of heavy, but it feels good. I'll see how it is when it's warmer and I can take out the liner. I'm 6-4 and ordered an XL-long - it has good sleeve length and does not ride up exposing my wrists when riding. I like it a lot.

Great Jacket Incredible Value - Bob - Hagerstown MD   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great fit, Great features, Great value
    Cons: none

Overall - a great jacket. I'm 6' tall & 205lbs. SIzed a Large tall. The tall size give me plenty of arm length & fits over a semi-heavy fleese pullover with no problem. Fit is snug, but perfect. If you have a gut, you may need to go up a size. I prefer a comfortable snug fit, rather that a loose fit, feels safer to me. Went with the HiV-Viz yellow as I commute both early morning & at dusk. Tons of relective piping. Plenty of pockets & venting. Collar is comfortable, not biting or otchy at allInner liner is easy off easy on. Won't need once it gets above 45-50 degrees.Local shops had jackets well over 200 to 350. Great value. You wont be dissappointed

SQ4KJ - biker   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Rugged construction, CE padded, warm or cool as needed.
    Cons: none

I think I look cool in this Jacket. Judging by the looks I get when riding is it me the bike or the jacket

Heavy - n3303j   MA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: [None]
    Cons: [None]

Haven't fallen off the bike or ridden in rain with this jacket so I can't comment on the really important reasons I wear safety gear. But a close examination of the goods shows a well made product. It is heavy which in gear means they didn't skimp on materials either in the insulation or protection department. The finish work looks to be done with care and the zippers look like a good choice for the task at hand.Frankly it's much more than I expected for the money.I ride full time and don't normally use cars. In a year I'll have a really good idea of this jacket's merits.Fit is true to size so if you plan on layering up buy a size that will leave room for those layers.

Great Coat - ddreelin   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well armored, Waterproof, nice style, Well ventlated
    Cons: Weight

Awsome coat looks good and is well constructed. Lots of pockets and ventalation. Well Padded which causes it to be heavy but nice. Great Price as well. Runs a little small on the sizing Chart so if you are on the upper end of the size it is best to the next size up.

Sliders Kevlar jacket - Cardinal red   OR Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Bright yellow color, good road rash protection, good venting for warm weather, many pockets
Cons: It is a bit heavy, but that is because of all the armor it has.

Have a good BMW three quarter jacket that cost about 750, but wanted one with bright day-glo color. This jacket has everything I wanted at much less price. Well made product with lots of protection, lots of pockets, good venting. The only bike accident I had was 50years ago when a lady in a '52 Buick made a left turn in front of me. After being away from bikes for many years, I got back in a couple of years ago. With my bright jacket, my bright yellow helmet and my blinking headlight they really see me now. Several times I have had cars start to pull out in front of me quickly come to a stop when they spotted me. I know I'm not cool in black but I am a lot safer.

sliders kevlar jacket - Billy   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: well assembled
    Cons: [None]

the first thing I noticed about the jacket was how heavy it is. its construction and features suggest it should cost at least twice its price. It's a really nice jacket and definitely worth the money.

Great Jacket - astewart4242   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Blocks wind Comfortable Warm Easy pocket access Durable
    Cons: Wasn't free

I had previously bought the mesh Sliders All-Season 2 Mesh jacket, which I liked a lot, and seemed to be good quality. I needed something for winter out here in Texas. First off, this jacket's build quality is amazing. Fit was great, very comfortable, and the inside liner is removable for the slightly warmer days. If this jacket cost twice as much, I'd still consider it a good deal. Great for winter, as long as temps are above 35, I think it would be too warm though even with vents in anything above 90.

MC jacket - mrsmystew   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Looks like it will keep the water out, just haven't been in any downpours yet. Lots of vents for air to flow through.
    Cons: Heavy

The jacket came very quickly. My husband is tall, and the offer of tall sizes to fit him was awesome. He really loves the coat. The zip out lining really is nice to help keep the elements out. Good reflective on it so hopefully he can be seen when out on the road.He rides to work every day. It really was at a great price. He was pleasantly surprised to get it for Christmas.

Awesome Jacket - Firedawg61   GA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Longer Length, Full Cut, Storm FlapZipper System, Lots of Pockets, Comfortable.
Cons: Chin Strap Rubs Some, Kind of Heavy wLiner and Armor Installed

I wanted a longer jacket than the Joe Rocket one I had. I also wanted one that was more comfortable for a bigger person. Got both with this jacket Awesome quality, liner is warm and the jacket is good in the rain found out accidentally the other day and keeps you dry. I got the fluorescent yellow and offers great extra visibility to motorists. Quality of the jacket seams, stitching and design are all top notch. The ability to adjust the mid-drift section is also a bonus. Only drawback is the collar strap. The Velcro will rub you neck if you don't get it aligned just right. The jacket is pretty heavy with the winter liner and CE armor installed. Other than that, awesome jacket for the price. Would buy again Thanks Sliders, you've made another quality product

Slider Quest 4 - Tucker   CO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: warm, comfortable, lots of storage, great jacket especially for the money
Cons: nothing major so far, jacket is still a little stiff so collar can be a little uncomfortable, inner liner needs to stretch a bit

I have not yet had this jacket in warm weather so can not say how the vents work but considering the amount of vents I am sure it'll be fine I live in Denver Colorado and rode yesterday in 29 degree weather with some lightly falling snow. Jacket was very warm with the liner in and just a long sleeve under that. High collar makes it very easy to stop cold breeze from going down your back. Seems to be very waterproof with the snow and melted snow on road. No rain shower yet tho. All the storage is great and love the large pocket in the rear to store the liner when it gets a little warmer.

Meets all expectations - Jeff L   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Features, Price & Quality
Cons: Could use more snaps at neck for different neck sizes

My new Sliders Quest 4 jacket replaces a much loved, very expensive BMW jacket. I ride year-round and need a jacket that keeps me warm and dry in the winter and has plenty of ventilation to handle our 100 degree summer days. Ive been looking for a replacement for a couple years, but every jacket I compared to my old jacket was a disappointment until I found the Quest 4. Ive had the jacket a couple weeks now, and it is better than advertised. Ive stayed dry through a couple big downpours and been plenty warm on very cold days. The built-in rain hood has come in handy. Im very impressed with the quality and workmanship of the jacket. The number and location of the vents gives me confidence that it will perform as well as my old jacket in the summer. The online demonstration video did a great job explaining the jackets features and showing what mere pictures never could. I would disagree with the videos suggestion that the jackets run small. I tried on medium jackets in local shops, went with my gut, and purchased a medium Quest 4. Im glad I did. Had I followed the advice of the video I would have had to return the jacket for a smaller size. I ordered the Quest 4 riding pants along with the jacket. The pants did run smaller than expected. The waist size runs about the same as what I wear in a normal pants size. Since I wear my riding pants over my work pants, I had to return the pants for the next larger size. Overall, the quality and features were enough to convince me to give up my old jacket, but the price makes this jacket unbeatable. The only thing that would improve this jacket would be to add several snaps at the neck to allow for different neck sizes. The placement of the one neck snap makes the neck a little tight for me, but there is plenty of Velcro for adjustment so I dont have to use the snap.

slider kevlar quest 4 - Kevin   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: waterproof, lots of storage pockets, lots of vents, great all weather jacket
    Cons: none so far

Great jacket, I'm 6'2 and have size large. Rode in 40 degrees with a t-shirt and jacket it kept me warm. I like all the pockets and ventilation areas. Has nice kevlar protection where you need it.

Quest is Waterproof and vents good - Marvin B   SC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Waterproof, Good Ventilation, think Liner, feels substantial
    Cons: No blue

Overall I love this jacket. I have ridden in Rain, sleet, cold and fairly warm weather. There are tons of pockets and the added protection of kevlar makes it a great value. After buying the jacket I ordered the pants online. They are great too..

Great Jacket - Deutsch Rider   GA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: protection, well place vents, versatile, plenty storage pockets.
Cons: snug in the biceptricep area with liner in

The Sliders Quest 4 Kevlar Waterproof Jacket is a great jacket. The CE Armor is well placed and stays in place Plenty of storage pockets and I greatly appreciate the I.C.E. emblem and pocket on the left sleeve. This jacket is very versatile with the liner, vents, waterproof zippers, and the under collar rain hood . I've worn this jacket in temps from 35f to 82f, rain or shine, it has performed remarkably . The reflective piping and badges are very noticeable at night. The only con I would state, would be the upper sleeves in the liner were snug on my arms. But, by the third to fourth use, it was much better. This is another great product from Competition Accessories

jacket - mariom24   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: weather protection, ventilation
    Cons: zipper pulls

Used in 3 rain storms, 1 with heavy wind. Kept dry, no leaks. Excellent adjustable vents for comfort. Good air flow. Used in temps from 40-88 degrees. Comfort in higher temps...unknown. Well made. Provides a good feeling of security. Lots of adjustments for fit. Expect it to wear nicely once broken in. Zipper pulls become unglude. Replaced with more substancial peices, not a big deal. Excellent value.

Great Jacket for the money - veriest1   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: to much to list
    Cons: velcro

I've had this jacket for almost a year now it would seem and commute on the bike a lot. First off I really like it - seems to be waterproof so far, pockets up front keep their contents dry, big zipper that can fend off the worst of dust, and good ventilation for TX summers. Sizing seems to run a little small. I haven't had to test it's crash worthiness and hope I never do. The only real problem I've had is the Velcro around the wrist cuffs wore out quickly. Not a problem given how much I've used the jacket so I'm just going to have some new Velcro sewn on.

Sliders Quest 4 Kevlar jacket - Marc   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: very sturdy and keeps me warm in all conditions
Cons: zipper gets stuck around stitching

Usually wear a large, but the sleeve length on the jackets seems much longer than my others. It was easy to exchange for a medium, but the zipper on this one kept getting stuck.. Thankfully, my wife was able ti re-stich the problem areas. Otherwise, I really like the jacket.

Great jacket - Sydblu   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warm, lots of adjustments, lots of pockets and I feel safe in it
    Cons: Collar

I really do love my Quest 3, not a Quest 4, jacket and it appears to have the same collar set up as the 4 does. The collar is large and not very flexible and gets in the way of my helmet movement. It also pushes too hard against my throat if I velcro it together so I have to work around that a bit. but like I said I do really like it and it is a great price for a great jacket. I would recommend it to others, but be careful with the collar.

Great build, runs small - dietDrThunder   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Very soft feel, very heavy duty, amazing value
Cons: Runs a whole size small

This jacket is very nice...I was very sad that the 3XL was too small for me, as I was certain that this would be my favorite jacket ever as I took it out of the box. I'd say that in person it feels heavier duty than the impressions I got from the video. Get one Just order up a size...

Sliders Quest 4 Jacket - CDole   CO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Kevlar, CE armor, Hi Viz Color - Orange
Cons: Material sheds due to velcro

The over function of the jacket is great. Plenty warm for the higher elevations of Colorado. Water resistant enough for me, great water tight zippers.... I got to remember to the vents. The size is a little snug, 6'0, 230, 44 in chest - mainly in the arms for a 2 XL. The ventilation is great for a heavy jacket as long as I don't sit to long in traffic - summer heat. Having the Kevlar and Hi Viz is worth a little sweat. The only main issue is the fabric shedding due the velcro. Otherwise great buy for the price.

Quest Kevlar 4 - purplepilot   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well made jacket with all the features one would need.
Cons: Jacket is cut way too small for an American XL.

Of all the apparel I have purchased over the passed several years this jacket is by far the tightest fitting XL I have tried. I admit I'm a little stout but I've never felt the level of restriction across the shoulders and chest that this jacket displays. I am going to keep the jacket and plan on losing a few pounds over the next several months and the hope will be that, come the Spring, it's going to be fine. Definitely consider this when you size yourself or better yet, try one on in person.

Wanted to like it, BUT .... - BoiseRyder   Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: Good looking jacket design with some nice features -- and Kevlar protection
Cons: Build quality poor, junk materials, attracts dirt like a magnet

Not sure why this jacket seems to get great reviews. Maybe I just got a bad one, but here is my experience in the almost 1 year of ownership. Out of the box it already had some fuzz spots on the bright yellow material think old wool sweater which was a concern about durability. Went to open front vents and one side was half sewn shut. Since I already returned their Quest 3 closeout because of similar, but worse issue, I decided to live with this minor issue. But speaks to poor QC of their products. Most of the snaps do not stay closed, especially the ones holding the upper chest pockets. Most of the zippers get stuck in the liner mesh when trying to open and close them. After a couple of weeks of pure street riding not even using it on my Dual Sport off road it was already attracting every fragment of dirt available in the universe. The bright yellow was already looking brown and just got worse from there.Compared to my old jacket, this one seems to be too hot when the temp gets above 80, and too cold in the upper arms when the temp gets down to the high 40's so very narrow band of usefulness. The cooling vents do not seem to do anything for me no matter what bike I am on.After about 6-8 months, all the zipper pull tags started to fall off. And no, it has never seen a clothes dryer And now the cuffs look like a VERY old wool sweater with so much fuzz. The front Velcro is also starting to lose its grip, but still OK for short term.Fortunately I have never had to test the jacket in the rain, but if it is anything like the other quality features, it will probably leave me soaked ...It is now almost a year and I really hope I can get another year out of this jacket as I really don't want to shell out more cash already. But I know it will not last anywhere near the 5-6 years I got out of my FirstGear.I know most reviewers seem to like the jacket, so not sure why my experience has been so bad. BUT I will definitely NOT be buying another Sliders jacket with my money. And when I bought it, the sales person said this new hi-tech material was so much better than the old Sliders 3 jacket. And now less than a year after closing out the Sliders 3 jacket, they are now closing out this Sliders 4. So much for new material ...

Quality - Bootleg   Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: Water resistance
    Cons: Construction, Quality

Received jacket and matching pants as a Christmas gift. Have ridden most days since and the jacket is already falling apart. The left sleeve cuff is tearing from the arm and one of the breast pocket snaps has pulled out of the fabric with the remaining ones not too far behind. The drain holes along the bottom interior of the jacket have sharp edges and do not feel as though they are properly secured. Also, the fabric is easily picked by the velcro zipper cover. For the price of this item I would not recommend this jacket.B.H.
