Sizing Help: A size 34 waist may actually measure about 35 to 35.5 inches depending on how you measure it. They are a more relaxed fit and not a slim or straight fit. You can measure an existing pair of pant or shorts you have to help with your size selection. Basic rule of thumb is actual measurement is 1-1.5 inches larger than the stated size. The inseam is going to measure about .5 inches longer than the stated size to help keep your legs covered on the bike. See reviews for sizing.

Good fit, great for work - Pancha   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: great for work good fit
Cons: none

Bought these for the hubby, in a longer size but returned and exchanged with no hassle. True to size so no need to guess on sizes, what you wear is what you order. Hubby loved that they were khaki and not jeans. now he can ride his bike and look presentable at work.

Sliders 4.0 Khaki - John   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable cut, fit well, not overly hot.
Cons: Itchy velcro

These are super comfortable as far as riding pants go. They feel very high quality and I've ridden 20-30 times now in them. They look great and love the fact the exterior is khaki to keep the heat down. If you are a very small framed person, you may want more of a euro cut, this is definitely an American cut which I love.My only gripe is the velcro for the need pads scratches my legs and gets annoying. I'll be removing it since I do not utilize the knee pads anyway.

Great Value - DsBeehive   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Office & Motorcycle Attire
Cons: Warm at high temperatures

This is my 7th pair of Sliders, and my wife has 2 of her own. The Khakis I wear to the office and few realize that they are my motorcycle protection, too until pointed out to them. The metal zipper is a problem and gets sticky at times. After over 1 12 years of regular wear, the black started to fade to the point that I use them for weekend riding now. Khaki sizes are very similar to dress slacks. Jeans are very BIG in the waist and are about 2 - 2 12 larger than normal jeans. The Cargo pants are nice, too. Much easier to pack on long trips than over pants. Better protection than CG's, and these do not have the butt zipper sewn in.

Good Pants - Andrew   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great pants, great protection
Cons: Runs Large, armor a bit finniky.

These pants are great. I can go to work without the hassle of over pants. These feel heavy, thick, and durable. I feel well protected.I put Forcefield knee armor in the knee, they fit perfectly. The armor will slide around when on the bike, it gets a bit annoying. but i feel it's worth the upgrade.Unlike most pants where you would like to get a size biggerlonger than you normally wear so you feel comfortable on the bike. I would actually recommend just getting the size you normally wear as they do run large.

Feel Safer - Joe   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Very comfortable. Loose fitting.
Cons: None

I was unsure about ordering these pants, so I ordered one pair. I like them a lot and will be ordering several more pair. Be aware they are loose fitting and you may could wear one size smaller. I do feel more secure with the Aramid protection.

Good look - I ride   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Look good off the bike
Cons: None

I like the look of these pants, can wear to my church with a dress shirt and not feel under dressed.

Great idea - JB   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: [None]
Cons: [None]

Great idea if you want to ride somewhere that you still need to look decent i.e. Casual Friday at work.

Sliders - wingrider54   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, nice fit, look good for casual office wear, wear well
Cons: [None]

I've been wearing slider jeans for years now and just added the Khaki's and Cargo pants to my daily attire. I've given Slider jeans nd women's Bella jean to my children. So far I've been very happy with the Slider line and hope I never have to check out the Kevlar if it meets the road. I commute daily rain or shine and snow only slows me down on the V Strom with knobby tires here in NEPA

good commuting pants - Pete D   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Heavy, protection, good for casual work pants
Cons: Heavy, a little itchy when hot

They fit one size long, just get your normal size, and get it hemmed. One size smaller than normal creeps up the boots in the riding position. They are a bit heavy, but during the summertime in Florida, no protective gear is comfortable in slow stop and go traffic.

Nice Pants - motophil   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Quality feel and good fit
Cons: Shrunk

I bought a pair of the Sliders 4.0 Khaki pants as well as a pair of the Cargo pants. Both are great quality and seem they would hold up well if they ever had to be used. They are thick and heavier than say a pair of jeans but still comfortable to wear. Currently riding in 95 to 100 degree heat here in texas and they aren't burning me up more than any other pants would be. As far as fit I wear a 40x34 in most jeans. I ordered my normal size in both and both still fit well enough after washing them both. The standard 4.0 khaki pants fit a little snug in the waist after washing but the length is a little long which is what I like for moto pants. The cargo pants are looser in the waist but a little shorter in the length after washing than I would like. If I were to order more I would go up a waist size in the standard Khaki and go up one longer size in the cargo. Hope this helps others.

Sliders Khaki 4.0 kelvar motorcycle pants - mikeyman67   NJ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Sturdy build, looks good too
Cons: Sizing

I got a pair of these in size 32 but they were HUGE. Dropped down to 30 and seems to fit. That said, the garment is well made and really looks like it will hold up well in the long haul. I can ride to work and not walk around the office looking like I am wearing motorcycle gear at all.

Looking Good - kenn   NJ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: [None]
Cons: [None]

These riding pants are just the item when you ride to work but need to dress in a casual businees manner. When I wore them around the office, even a fellow motorcyclist had no idea that I was wearing riding pants. They look good, and with a shirt, tie, and sport coat they fit in well in a professional office on casual Friday. The pants are sturdy, with Kevlar in the right areas. The material is a little heavier than normal Khaki's, but that is to be expected for a riding pant. Still, they are not too heavy to wear all day in an air conditioned office. Fit is good, but may be slightly on the large side compared to other riding pants. Good value for the money.

Great pants - jac   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great fit, look good seems well built.
Cons: getting the knee pads to fit doesn't seem worth the effort

I really like these pants. The fit is true and they are well built. I have the optional knee pads and getting them into the Velcro slots in the correct position is kind of a pain. I also have short legs so I can't really get them where I want them so I don't really bother. This is still a great product and it prompted me to get the jeans as well.

This is my second pair of the khaki sliders - ironbutt Dave   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable and cooler than you would think.
Cons: none

This is my second pair of khakis, and I have 2 pair of the black chinos. I wrecked a bike at 70 mph in the center lane of a freeway after jumping debris from a pick up with a faulty tailgate. The only damage from the waist down was blisters on my knees from the heat of the pavement. My slider pants saved my legs from road rash from waist to ankle, my boots and the pants both needed replacement. I attended the jazz fest in New Orleans this year while wearing my new khaki sliders and they were surprisingly comfortable for 3 days in 88 degree weather. This is a solid product and they look like an ordinary pair of pants.

Great Slacks - DsBeehive   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Office Attire
Cons: Not PermaPress

Bought these to try wearing to the office instead of mesh overpants. They look like office khakis, and, unless pointed out to non-riders, they do not notice the difference. They are very wrinkled when removed from the dryer, and need touch up. Purchased after doing a slide down the freeway in jeans. I do NOT plan on doing a slide test in these, but feel confident that they would survive better than plain jeans. Ordered my regular khaki size and they fit nicely. Legs are about an inch longer, so they cover you when riding. I am ordering another pair today. Why only 2 colors

Very Satisfied - Alan LaRue   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, look good enough to wear at work in casual office environment
Cons: Wrinkle quite a bit out of the wash, expandable waist would be nice

Some reviewers have said these run a little large, but I found them to be true to size. I bought size 34x32. With most khaki pants, I only get 34 if they have expandable waists because some days 34 is okay and some days too tight. These are the same... okay some days, a bit tight others, exactly like other pants I have. They are made of a comfortable material, heavy as they would need to be to offer protection but very soft. After washing and then drying on a low setting instructions say not to over-dry them, they come out rather wrinkled, but I normally spray them with wrinkle releaser, hang them up, and smooth them out, and they're okay to wear. The first pair I bought were tan. I've ordered a pair of black ones, in size 36 that I'll just take up with a belt. I may order a pair of jeans, as well. Very happy with them.

Great Riding Pants - John E. Lincoln   UT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good looking, confortable, Kevlar reinforced in key areas
Cons: None yet

Purchased the denim pants last summer, and just purchased the khaki. Obviously I like them. The fit is loose but I got my normal size. Wanted something to wear with optional knee armor also purchased, when weather warmer, to supplement my winter riding pants that slip over my casual pants. The Kevlar reinforced areas, the provision for additional armor, and the reasonable price were decision points for me. I recommend them highly.

Great Pants - adt   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Quality, protection, fit, weight, appearance
Cons: none

I purchased one each of the Sliders 4.0 Jeans, 4.0 Khakis, and 4.0 Cargos. The jeans are blue, and the Khaki and Cargos are both tan. The tan in the Khakis and Cargos is just a tad darker than in the product pic, for which I am glad. The color is quite nice. The blue in the jeans is represented well on the product page.I normally wear Wrangler relaxed fit 38x30 jeans. I can wear the regular fit, and can easily fit in regular or relaxed 36x30. While the waist is fine, the thighs tend to be a bit tight, so I wear the 38x30 relaxed with a belt for a comfortable fit. This is my normal jean fitment. Now on to the Sliders I could see that there were different sizing opinions on each review, so I decided to order all the same size, in my normal jean size, and see what fits best. I have to say the Khakis come closest to my normal fit. The Jeans are just a tad big, the Khakis fit me great, and the Cargos are just a tad tight in the waist, but a great loose fit everywhere else. I am not sure if every pair would be this way or if the sizing varies that much on each model. But all of them fit well enough that I will keep them all and wear them a lot. I really do like these pants. I needed something I could wear to work and be comfortable and protected, yet not have to deal with overpants. They all feel like I am wearing a pair of flannel lined pants. All the pants are very comfortable and warm on cold days, but not overly hot on warmer days. I could wear them through the summer here in the southeast hot-humid, although it will be a bit hot in the middle of summer if I'm working outside.I don't wear the knee protectors with them, so I cannot comment on that, but the armor pockets seem very comfortable and well thought out. I have not tested the protection that these pants would provide in a slide, and I certainly hope that I don't ever have to. Saying that, the stitching quality, weight of the Kevlar, and overall feel of the pants gives me confidence that these would hold up to their claims. I really do like these pants, and I am glad that I got them. When I order more, I will order the Cargos and Khakis in different colors. Nothing against the jeans at all they are great pants and I love them. But the Cargos and Khakis look good enough to wear to work or any other place where business-casual attire would be fitting.I hope this helps others in their decision. I am glad I ordered them as they seem to be one of the best deals out there for Kevlar lined casual pants. I will certainly order more as I need them.Thanks.

Ken Card - Ken Card   NJ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: they are as described
Cons: none

They fit well ,are comfortable , and look presentable. If the extended winter ever gives me a break they are appropriate to wear at work I have not had a chance to try the knee pads but in the jeans version they are hard to keep in place.

Khaki Sliders, Good looks w protection - C4   AZ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: comfort, looks, protection
Cons: Attracts dog hair like crazy

Great pants that offer protection greater than just jeans, but don't look like you're wearing riding pants. Ride to work and don't have to change My black khakis tan in my size was out of stock attract my German Shepherds hair like crazy, but everything does. Fit is true to size and comfortable. I ordered mine extra long to cover my boots and not get blown up on the road. I should have believed what they wrote when they said they were cut long for that reason. I will be ordering another pair when khaki is in stock.

Motorcycle Riding Pants with Kevlar - Frank L., Langhorne, PA   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable fit.
Cons: None

There's a lot of talk about what size Motorcycle pants to order and how they will fit. I ordered my regular 36W and the fit fine. I did order them 2 inches longer for extra ankle coverage when riding and it helps. They seem very durible and I expect to be wearing them for several seasons.

Everything You Need - Mark H   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: good design, well made, kevlar
Cons: none

This is my second pair of these kevlar riding pants, and they are real improvements from the originals - which were already good. The sizing is accurate, and the look and fit is more than acceptable for business casual office wear.

Great Pants - CDunk   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fit, Looks
Cons: None

Just great kevlar motorcycle pants. Others have warned about being a bit larger than the size ordered. Mine were but after the first washing they fit perfect. Material is soft and comfortable, a little on the heavy side but that's fine. One thing I didn't expect, they're warmer on cold morning commutes that Levis but cooler in the warm afternoon.

good buy - iron dave   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Don't look like rocket geek pants, casual chino look.
Cons: Warm on hot days

This is my 5th pair of slider pants. I have experienced sizing irregularities once, waist too tight, but they fit my wife so no loss. I went down in the debris that fell out of a pick up with a failed tail gate at 70 mph on the interstate wearing the blue jean model of the original sliders. Slid to a stop jumped up and ran to the side of the road. The only damage from the waist down was blisters on my knees from the 105 degree super heated concrete, and a blown zipper on my boot. I slammed the road so hard I fractured my left shoulder from the impact, and have never rode without upper body armor as well since the accident. I average 20,000 miles a year, and have owned over 20 bikes. At 59 years old, I avidly avoid collecting any more scar tissue. These are a good buy

Awesome Pants - SCrider   SC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Nice looking pants that can be worn in the office
Cons: Velcro can be super painful

These are my second pair of these pants. They are very well made and do run large versus standard sizing. In general they are super comfortable and a bit on the warm side with the thickness of the fabric and Kevlar. One word of warning the ends of the Velcro used to position the knee armor can curl a bit after a wash or two and the ends can cut into your knees. This is easy to fix by turning the pants inside out and melting the corners of the Velcro strips. Unfortunately I found this out on a trip to Spain. The edges of the Velcro cut into my knees as I walked through the airports. However, once I melted the sharp edges, all is well. Even with this design flaw, I still rate these as a 5 since I have been unable to find any other pants with the safety features of these that I can wear to the office at any price.

like these - benzh   TN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: fit, protection, look pretty normal
Cons: knee pad fit

I purchased these for protection. The Kevlar embedded was the hook. But, I didn't want any pants that look goofy or to motorcycle looking. These fit the bill for that too. It didn't seem clear on the website which Knee Pads to purchase. I tried two and these were the best fit. Knox Advance X Part 127 Protector. The knee pockets in the paints are made large for different types of knee pads. So these don't fit perfectly. I have to scootch them over a little over my knee pad when I mount the bike. But, they work fine. Glad to have found these paints. I am very pleased with the gear I purchased from this company. Particularly, the Sliders Carmel All-Year Mesh Jackets with Kevlar. I chose the hi-vis yellow and I am definitely easy to see and avoid

Well Worth The Cost - TheDougMorris   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Look great, good protection, can be worn in most business casual offices
Cons: Wrinkle a bit by the end of the work day

I have worn the Sliders jeans for years but got tired of either carrying khaki pants with me or having to leave a pair at the office. The Sliders Khaki 4.0 allow me to ride to work with the protection I need, but not have to worry about changing once I get to the office. The reinforced seams and protection areas are very well done, but don't draw attention to the fact that you are wearing riding gear all day. I will be adding additional colors soon, and I will definitely order them from Competition Accessories. The CompAcc team did a great job with quick shipping and great communication after the sale.

Very comfortable, easy to maintain

Did their job - MindlessMuse   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: [None]
Cons: [None]

Had a slow lowside this morning and these pants protected my knee as that was the only area that had marks from the slide. I wish I could say the same about my gloves other brand as I have a nice burn mark on my pinky and rash on the back of my hand. These pants lived up the hype as far as I am concerned and I am already ordering a few more in different colors.

Great Commuter Pants - mrjasey   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Abrasion Protection that you can wear at work
Cons: Optional armor

I bought these as an upgrade from plain jeans. I wear these to commute into work and then wear them during work. Airflow is pretty good can get hot in 90 degrees though but bearible. They seem to work well for work as long as you aren't expected to wear suit and tie. No one notices that they are motorcycle khakis unless I tell them so they are low key. They fit well with boots, slightly longer with dress shoes I just rull the cuff so I dont step on them with dress shoes. Would recommend and would buy again.

I love them - Ray J.   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes

These khaki sliders feel and look great. Wear them on long rides and they remain comfortable.

Nice pants - Big Dan   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well made pants, good looks
Cons: small zipper pull on the fly

nicely made pants true to my Jean size 36x32 all the stitching and seams nice and even, ran them thru the wash to see how they looked after the cycle. just about wrinkle free. nice pants for the money

Sliders Khaki pants - Dwayne   KY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Quality product, seem to be well made
Cons: [None]

I found the fit on these to be pretty well spot on despite the note that they run large. I wear a 33 pant and because they are said to run a little large I ordered a 32. They fit like my 32 jeans a little snug. Seem to be a very well made product. Stiffer than the Sliders jeans by the way and they ARE smaller than the jeans I have 32 sliders jeans and they are a nice loose fit. I am very satisified with Sliders products and with COMP ACC service

even better - Steve   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: comfortable look good
Cons: [None]

This is my third pair of Khaki Sliders. This newest version, 4.0, most definitely deserves a 4.0 rating. My first two pairs had slight manufacturing defects loose button, frayed button hole that were easily fixed but that detracted from the overall quality. This new pair of Sliders is very well constructed. I expect they'll hold up well. Just hope I never need to test 'em against the tarmac, but if I do I'm confident they'll be much more protective than blue jeans. Plus, they're much cooler than my leathers.

Chino Sliders - Son of the Hounds   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Light weight, cut well
Cons: CR knee armor pockets in knee allow armor to rotate partially

Great pants, pocket for knee armor allows it to turn partially sideways. I reset the armor and it is better, but still wants to hang slightly askew. Buy one size smaller waist. I am a 36 jean, bought 34 and they fit great. These Khaki chino sliders seem slightly shorter 12 than the same size in the jeans. I ordered 34 x 30 in both, jeans are right length, I'd order one size longer in khaki if I ordered again. They are fine standing, but seem to ride up further than the jeans when riding. One thing I really like is the lighter weight, hence cooler ride. They are more breathable that the jeans and the Khaki will become my warm weather wear. Customer service is great.

Pants - Dave-IL   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fits well
Cons: pricey

Nice riding pants that don't look like protective gear.

Nice Pants - Dave   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fits well.
Cons: None

These are a little heavier than regular pants but they are meant for riding and to protect the rider. The fit was right on my jeans size. I washed them and they came out of the drier looking none the worse for wear. The best thing is that my co-workers couldn't tell that I was wearing protective gear.

Great commute pants - Stevil   WI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Durable, comfortable, great price
Cons: None

Lots of Kevlar, good sturdy construction, comfortable. Look fine for business casual. Knee armor pockets appear to have been redesigned, much more comfortable now. Had a problem with sizing, compacc got it fixed for me painlessly. Keep up the good work

Cons: [None]

been wearing these pants for about a month now, and so far, so good. very comfortable

My favorite riding pants - JC in NC   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Durable, looks good on and off the bike, generous amounts of kevlar
Cons: Warm in the summer, little bulky around the waist

The Sliders Khaki 4.0 pants are an excellent blend of protective features, comfort, normal looks and great fit on and off the bike. I can still wear these pants into the office and not get any weird looks. The kevlar coverage is very generous as pointed out in the CompACC video. Although the knees have pockets for armor, I prefer to wear my kneeshin armor on the body since it shouldn't move as easily in an off. I fear the looseness of the pants would allow armor worn in the gear to shift unintentionally. The fit is loose, but not baggy and is definitely comfortable. I wear 36x32 pants comfortably and ordered the Khaki 4.0 in that size. I probably could have gotten away with a slightly longer inseam, but it works fine enough even in the riding position. This is a great riding pant for the money

Perfect for Work - TJ   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfort, safe for work, easy to wear
Cons: They seem to run a bit small.

This is my second pair and I went up a size and they fit perfectly. Maybe I'm getting fatter Anyway, I can put these on like regular pants, commute to work on my Ducati ST3, work all day without anyone noticing I'm wearing motorcycle pants, and ride home that night without and discomfort. The perfect lowmid speed commuter pants for the business casual environment

Nice pants - CWG   RI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, soft, good protection
Cons: Knee pads shift a bit

Made a huge difference riding with comfort. Jeans were never that comfortable on longer rides. These come broken in and very soft. Really liked riding in them and knowing that I had the kevlar should the shiny side not stay up. They look pretty close to regular khakis. Ordered the knee pads and thankfully CompAcc set up a video to show me how to install them, which finally made sense. They installed easily and feel a bit funny walking around with them in. On the bike, once they're adjusted, they're fine and it's nice to have that protection as well. These guys are great to do business with and responded promptly to my emails about putting the knee pads in.

Old School Cool - BCRedondo   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great alternative to geeked out acid wash denim riding pants. Very comfortable and better protection than standard khakis
Cons: Nothing - may seem a little baggy for some, but ends up being more comfortable...

These and a pair of Chucks for the low speed short hauls and you are all set Great alternative to the wanna-be Anarchy look if you aren't a real 1'er.... like 99 of us For the high speed or long haul freeway rides, you may want a little more substance to protect your limbs and vital parts, but these will do and are VERY comfortable They are lighter than denim for the cold days, but great for the warm ones Good Kevlar coverageI wear a smaller 34W x 32L in street pants, I got 32W x 32L for these they fit pefect... plenty of room in the waist and little longer for the legs when in riding position...

Great riding pants with kevlar protection - JMagna   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Look great, very comfortable, good for all weather, good protection
Cons: Knee area could stand to be redesigned

I wanted some pants I could wear once I get off my ride without getting weird looks, and these pants fit in everywhere. I wear them to work, and nobody even notices and that's with the optional knee armor in as well. They are very comfortable to wear the khaki material is made from a very soft from the start type of fabric, and looks very durable. Stitching is good and heavy, and the kevlar is in all the right spots and doesn't add to bulk or make pants uncomfortable. It feels like you're wearing a slightly heavier duty pair of khakis, but that's the only difference. They stay warm in colder weather, but also breathe well when you're just sitting around. For sizing purposes, I would recommend finding a pair of relaxed fit jeans that fit over your boots and still are long enough when sitting on your bike. Order the same size waist and length as that. The only bad thing about these is that the knee area, which has a velcro pocket for the optional knee armor, doesn't work the best when putting the armor in. There are only about three positions you can put the armor in, so if you're in between one of those, then it won't fit perfectly and may bug you. But don't let that stop you from buying these pants, they are still comfortable with knee armor and don't look weird when using it.If you want sturdy, good looking pants, these are what you want.

Almost perfect - Jim H   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Large in the seat and leg so fit over gear. MUCH better protection than regular jeans. Slightly cooler than sliders kevlar jeans.
Cons: Just a bit warmer than regular Khakis. Not wrinkle free.

I love my kevlar Khakis. I am a size 38 33 usually but I wear a 36 32 in these. I love that even when already wearing the Khakis, I can easily put on my wrap around shin and knee enduro guards under these clothes . I wear them all day and just add my gear when going for a ride.

Cons: Can appear wrinkled

I wear mine several times a week and I've noticed that after a morning ride to work and a day at work, the pants are starting to sag around the knee seams. Probably a function of the kevlar underlining, but might not be appropriate for strict office dress codes. Functionally, they fit well on and off the bike. The knee pad velcro can be bothersome until you get it adjusted right. I have several pairs and will buy again.

Extremely pleased with Sliders Kevlar Khaki Pants - CamGSA   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Super comfortable for all day riding, Good looking on and off the bike
Cons: None so far

I normally wear a 33x34 jean and decided on a 32x36 size based on previous reviews. I have to say the sizing was perfect and that these are my new favorite kevlar riding pants - both on and off the bike. I ordered them on Monday, received on Thursday, then left on a weekend trip to Big Bend on Friday. I essentially wore these kevlar pants from sunup to sundown for three days straight - with about 1000 miles of riding and several miles of light hiking in between. The weather varied from 50 deg and raining to 80 degrees and bright sunshine. I wore simple Frog Toggs over the pants with the bottom 4 to 6 inches exposed to the rain and, once it cleared up, the exposed portion of the pants dried very quickly. I even inadvertently sat on the mouthpiece of my CamelBak making a nice big wetspot on my hindquarters and I swear I didn't even notice it 5 minutes after realizing it happened. Not sure if the Kevlar provided the barrier or the pants dried that fast. The material feels like a heavy cotton similar to, but much softer than your favorite pair of Carhartts. I would easily recommend these pants to anyone looking for a durable, long wearing and very comfortable pair of pants to wear both on and off the bike. Five solid stars. Hopefully, I never get a chance to review them after an unplanned dismount.

Very pleased with these Kevlar pants - Tom   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: [None]
Cons: [None]

I just got my Sliders kevlar khakis and was very pleased with how they fit. Very comfortable, seem to be well made and fabric feels great. I usually wear a 38-waist so ordered a 36 and they fit perfectly. Should be great for wearing at work.

Nice pants, sketchy armor-retention design - mtburr   MN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, good looking. Kevlar
Cons: Knee-armor pockets don't hold armor in place. No hip armor pockets

Echoing the other reviews for Sliders Khakis ... they are comfortable and they look pretty much like a standard pair of casual khaki pants. They seem very well designed and manufactured, with generous coverage from Dupont Kevlar. The packaging asserts that the aramid material is in fact Dupont Kevlar but there seems to be some doubt expressed in reviews re whether it's actually genuine Dupont. That's kind of weird and SlidersComp A should do something to clear up the confusion. In any case ... it seems to be very tough material. Sizing I followed the sizing guidance 34 x 30s, same as my regular Levis jeans size and listened to reviewers who stated that the pants will shrink after washing. I now have washed them once and found it's true ... which is good since the pants were decidedly too large previously. Now they fit very comfortably with some room for further shrinkage in future washes. I'd estimate they shrunk about 1 in the waist and at least 1 in length too. After washing, overall fitment is very good, providing enough room to move around while on the bike, but not looking baggy when off the bike. Good jobArmor Retention This is my one real criticism of these pants. Other reviews also note that the optional sold separately knee armor tends to move around, and that's been my experience too. If you place the armor correctly for riding, it tends to inch its way around to the inside. This is distracting while on the bike -- I find myself constantly trying to re-position the things to actually protect my knees -- and I'm afraid that even if they were in the right spot in a crash the armor would easily rotate around the knee and be rendered mostly useless. Also when you get off the bike, the armor changes position again and hangs down annoyingly over your shins. Finally I'd note that while knee armor is better than no armor, real protection requires armor over the hips, thighs, and tailbone. All that armor probably would make these pants impractical, so I understand why the designers haven't gone that far with it. I'll probably ditch the knee guards and obtain under-pants armor such as Bohn Body Armor. Also one suggestion to SlidersComp A if they're listening ... Consider adjusting the design to provide a long elastic loop on the inside of the pants, up near he knee, to go down into a pair of boots and around the bottom of the foot. This way the pants could be worn either inside or outside a pair of boots, and would be less likely to slide up in a get-off. I plan to have these pants altered in this way to provide such retention.Bottom line I'm glad I got these pants. They are an excellent alternative to heavier and uglier cordura options or kevlar reinforced blue jeans. They fit great, look great, and the kevlar reinforcement should offer excellent abrasion resistance. The armor pockets are a nice idea but I wouldn't expect Sliders Khakis to provide actual impact protection. YMMV ... keep the shiny side up

Understated - Rallyfan   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, work well with boots, nondescript
Cons: Loose threads here and there clearly not bespoke trousers...

These work great and can easily disguise themselves as baggy pants made of cotton or even sailcloth, rather than motorcycle pants. Nobody will think you had a tailor make your clothing, and there are loose threads furthermore, the belt loop section tends to fold over onto itself if the pants are worn without a belt or if the belt used is too narrow. However, nobody will think these are motorcycle pants either, so they are a great compromise that you can wear to casual environments without looking like a hooligan at all. The thigh is generously cut, and the hems are a touch long so that the pants won't be too short on a bike however, you would do well to wear heels or you'll be stepping on the hem potentially. I'm 105kg, 1,84m tall, and my upper thigh is 47 cm diameter, and the38X32 is both a bit baggy and a bit long -- in my opinion, this is just perfect in terms of sizing for the given function. It's a shame the knee armor is not provided for the price. I can't comment on how they look with the armor in place. However, I do recommend them, particularly if they're on sale. I'd buy a grey and a navy pant if those colors were offered right now only the brown is available.

LOVE these pants - Dave S.   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Very nice looking,
Cons: inside stitching causing issue, nd they shrink when dried

First of all, these are the nicest looking pants I own, even better looking than my non-motorcycle pants...that's how nice looking they are. They're very comfortable, although I do have a problem with mine. They have an area on the inside thigh area, where the kevlar was stitched in, there's a hard bit of plastic that is kind of sharp, and it digs into my skin. I had to start wearing some scrubs under them, but that totally fixed the issue for me. I looked at the plastic and it seems like I'd have to rip the pants to remove it, so the better solution was to just wear the scrubs below them. Otherwise, I wear them everywhere and feel safe on the road with them, although Ive never had an accident in them so haven't tested that part out.

Sizing - Trey   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: well made, comfortable
Cons: sizing can be hard to estimate

I got a pair of these in 32x32 and loved them. They got a little stained and were just a little tight around the waist. So I got another pair and chose 34x32 this time. The new pants were at least 3 inches longer than the old pants I took a couple measurements. The inseam is pretty close to spec. But the crotch on the old vs. new pants is way different. So I think the 34 waist pants must use a roomier cut for the crotch and seat that ends up making them much longer. These pants are really well made. The kevlar is sewn in securely. They look great and I can wear them around the office.

Sliders Khaki 4.0 - Aceboxer   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Nice quality fabric and construction, Ample amount of Kevlar, deep pockets
Cons: Thighs and calves have too much room

I found these pants comfortable to wear, the fit in the waist was consistent with sizing, the length seems a bit long, but makes sense when you're in the saddle. They look more like regular pants when you're riding than standing however. These fit quite loose in the thighs, kind of like those loose fit jeans from the '80s. On the plus side, you could easily wear additional armor in the knees if you so desired, and maybe the behind too, depending on your, er, proportions. The extra space and deep pocket made it easy to shove my phone in the front pocket without concern for crushing it, in fact, I hardly knew it was there.

Sliders - Sean   MA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Pretty comfortable despite the extra thickness look only marginally less dressy than regular khaki's the reinforcement in the black colored pants are especially hard to noticeally
Cons: as stated by others, it is hard to get the fit right, had to return the first pair but the sizing is internally consistent I bought multiple pairs after returning the first pair once you figure it out.

4 stars instead of 5 because--so far--I have not slid in them so can't promise from personal experience that they'll hold up many other reviewers have said that they do. . But they are surprisingly comfortable considering the kevlar reinforcement, and look pretty good the extra seams are almost invisible on the black pair.. If the company ever makes them in more colors I would definitely buy them.Incidentally, the reinforcement is also a plus riding in chilly weather I don't have a faring.

Sliders Khaki Pants - JSommer   ME Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable
Cons: Kinda big

These pants are great...very comfy. I wear them when it is too warm or I am just riding around town. Nice quality. The only con is that they are a bit large.

good pants - rufus15   GA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: soft material, comfortable
Cons: length, leg width

nice pants, had the sliders mesh pants and they are great, but somewhat itchy without the liner, a little bulky to walk around in. These 4.0's are fashionable and quite comfortable to wear. My only issues are with the inseam being a little too generous, and I do understand that it is for the riding part to cover the boot, but that's a non factor once you start moving. The other is the leg width reminds me of the old stove pipe jeans and don't know why they need to be that generous. Overall I would recommend these pants, they are still quite comfortable and the protection inside the pant is quite generous.

Stealth riding gear - Wet Duck   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, presentable, protection suitable for office casual
Cons: Baggy legs, prone to wrinkle - not quite dress casual

I bought these pants to provide protection for my commute to my office job on days when it's too warm for overpants. I wanted to be able to step off the bike and walk into the office without needing to change out of riding pants. These do the job for that. First, the pros They are comfortable for all-day wear the Kevlar seems well-placed to provide abrasion but not impact protection in high-risk areas and they are borderline acceptable for casual office wear. Now, the cons The legs are baggy and the fabric is prone to wrinkling, meaning that while they are a better choice than jeans they don't quite cut it for true dress casual in a professional office environment. For the record I wear them anyway, since my colleagues have essentially given up, but I do keep dressier clothes at the office to change into if needed. They also tend to be a bit warm, perhaps due to the extra fabric layers, although not uncomfortably warm at room temperatures.I also purchased the optional foam armor knee pads designed to fit these pants, but have never installed them for three reasons installation and proper placement look like a hassle I do not see any way to secure the knee pads in position so they would be in the right place to provide any protection to my knees and it looks like it would be necessary to remove and reinstall them every time the pants got washed.I haven't tested them for crash protection, and don't intend to. Knock on wood.In summary, I like them this is my second pair and they get by as moderately protective ride-to-work office wear, but they swing a bit too far in the casual direction to be ideal for a professional setting. If you don't need that, but just need something that's a bit dressier than jeans, then they're great as long as you're okay with baggy legs. If you really want crash protection you will need something else.

Nice for the money - Cenomaniac   CO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Understated classic look, decent protection
Cons: Too baggy for business casual, flimsy front button

I got these pants because I wanted something which would match with my Alpinestars vintage style leather jacket. The khaki version of these pants fit the bill and allow me to maintain a very nice classic look while still remaining protected. I was originally hoping, based on some of these reviews, that the pants would pass for business casual around the office. I don't know where these guys work, but there is absolutely no way these pass for business casual. They are WAY too baggy to pass for real khakis and the knee velcro shows through, even without the CE rated knee armor. Think Carhartt work pants. I wear 3032 in Dockers, and the good news is that the Medium fits perfectly as an overpant, so I am still quite happy with them. My only other gripe is that the front button is sewn on and seems like it will break off eventually. Nothing some extra stitching cannot fix.

Sliders Khackis - Keith   NJ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, good construction and should hold up well.
Cons: Not for the GQ-type, but we're bikers not fashionistas. They're imported.

My regular jeans fit is 33 x 33, based on other reviews I knew they ran a bit big in the waist but was unsure about the length. I ordered 2 pairs, both 32 waist, one a 32 long and the other a 34. I tried on the 32 x 32 first and the fit was great returned the 34's unopened and got a no-hassle credit.Wore them several times and they've been thru the wash once. They are black, didn't fade, barely shrunk, and fit is still great. These are not Dockers While comfortable, they are a bit baggy and look a little puckered due to the multiple sewn layers of cloth and kevlar. I haven't taken an iron to them. I work in a more informal business casual office and some fellow bikers picked them out right away.

Slider kevlar motorcycle jeans - Dan M   IA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: very comfortable, well made kevlar jeans
Cons: none

the fit was right on and the quality of the finished pants was great. nice and relaxed fit doesn't bunch or bind on while riding. worn then twice and the last time I got them a little greasy but they washed up great.

Yet another Sliders review - DWolvin   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: they pass as nomal pants
Cons: hot, velcro a bit scratchy

I've been wearing various colors of these since v2.0, and I love that I can ride to work in gear that I don't have to change out of, but there are some improvements that could be made. They don't breathe much tighter weave than the jeans, and the knee armor pockets are a bit scratchy. Other than that I should mention that they really wear well, I have a few pair that are years old over 3 and still look great. I have not tested the kevlar, and don't want to, but a friend crashed on the I-15 in his sliders jeans and they held up well, with almost no damage. ATGATT

Good Pants, but . , , - IBA70   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Similar to Carhartt loose fit. Better protection than even heavy duty jeans.
Cons: Belt loops.

I have two pair. They are my preferred pants for over the road work due to comfort, convenience and protection. Today I am ordering another pair as I like the Khaki color. My only con relates to belt loops. I like to have added loops in the back area rather than simply one. Minor thing, really, as I simply sew two more on the back. These pants wash and dry normally. I wear Carhartt Loose fit in 38x36 and the Sliders are similar in fit. I like the pocket watch it is generously sized and a convenient place for keys when off the motorcycle. I sprayed the jeans with Scotchgard Fabric protector and find the Sliders don't leak in light rain for an hour or so.

Nice - Jan H   GA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: nice style
Cons: not waterproof

These are really comfortable pants and the kevlar inside doesn't bother me at all. You can wear these anywhere

I wish they came in more colors - someguy   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: mostly look like normal pants, sturdy, wear like normal pants
Cons: not enough colors, not enough adjustments for knee armor

I've bought the Sliders jeans and cargo pants before and, liking them, tried these hoping for pants I could ride to work in when it's hot so I could avoid putting on shell pants. I wasn't disappointed, and if they came in more colors I'd buy more. The seam just above the knee makes them a bit casual for the office, but that largely depends on where you live and what kind of office it is. They work fine for me. They wear like normal, but heavy, pants so I don't have to spend all day uncomfortable feeling like I'm wearing ballistic material. I'd probably wear them on days I don't ride except I only have two pairs one in each color so I save them for riding days. What these really need is more velcro adjustments --particularly left-to-right ones the top-to-bottom ones being fine for the optional knee armor. The chinos hold better than the jeans, but I still have them slip left-right sometimes, which diminishes the value. Before I ask for a pony, I'd also like pleats to allow for a greater range of leg movement I have a big bike and the pants pull a little when I get on.

Comfortable Protection - Paul   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Very comfortable and warm on coolcold rides
Cons: Baggy looking and tend to have a lot of wrinkles after washing

I bought two pairs of these pants--one with the cargo pockets and one without. I ordered as close to my normal size as possible and they fit. Both are cut very generously and so they are somewhat baggy but they are very comfortable to wear. The Kevlar is like a thick pad that provides a cushioning effect and an insulating effect in cool or cold weather. After washing you get a lot of wrinkles because the large Kevlar pads are sewn into the inside of the pants and most of the wrinkles occur in the pants where the pads are sewn in. I do not mind that but I think some people would find that objectionable. I prefer the pair with cargo pockets because I can put things in them and get to them while I am on the bike without having to stand up to get my hands in the pockets and the flaps keep these items secure in the pockets. I have not put them to the test as far as safety is concerned but I think these large Kevlar pads in the seat, hips, and knees will provide a lot of protection. The pants feel somewhat bulky because of them but they are much more comfortable to wear than armor. I have yet to wear them in the warm months and they might be too warm because of all the padding but they are very comfortable in temperatures up to 80 degrees.

VA - Richard   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: nice quality, comfortable except for knee velcro
Cons: Really baggy on me, fit a little off

The overall fit was pretty good I normally wear a 38 or 40 by 32 length depending on the brand. I ordered a 38 x 32 and pre-wash they fit great. A bit long but will ride well once on the bike. If I have my riding boots on they are OK to walk around in but if I have my hiking boots on then O need to roll them up or I will be walking on them. I do not plan on wearing armor with them so the Velcro sleeve it fits in is uncomfortable and annoying but liveable. I may try to remove the sleeve at a later date but right now I will leave them. Also because the length is longer than normal even if I did put protection in the knee it seems that it would ride low when walking which would be annoying if you were trying to work in these pants. I guess you could always take the pants off and remove them once you get to your destination but...

Alternative to Bulky Riding Pants - Randy   TN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Light

I found my pants to fit good and be comfortable for riding and occasional walking. For extended walking, they are a little stiffer than jeans, and the lining rubs on bare skin.

Love these pants - Snoopy   MA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfort, fit, good amount of kevlar in the right places, price
Cons: feels too loose at times and I doubt the knee impact protection would stay in place when needed, but these are inserts and not tied to the knee anyway so they would move in any case.

I have had these pants for a month now, and I have to say I am loving these. I bought these pants for work and they fit right in with the semi formal attire at my work place. These are very comfortable even with the protection inserts. They are definitely heavier then regular pants but that is expected.I would buy another pair in a heartbeat, matter of fact I have

Great, thick, but a little big - RebelRider   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warm, protective, comfortable
Cons: Large fit

I like these pants quite a bit, however they were much to large for me when I purchased them. I'm 5'9' 145 lbs, and I was swimming in them. I took them to my tailor and had them slimmed and shortened, now they fit much better. I feel much safer wearing them when riding, and the thick kevlar lining also helps keep out the chill on those early mornings. 1010 would buy again.

Good kevlar riding pants - Don D.   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Godd look
Cons: long on the inseam

I found the waist size to be true but the length of inseam was a little long. the length is manageable by cuffing or shortening slightly. The extra length does eliminate the ride up from pants with normal inseam length. Haven't used the pockets for insert yet but the adjustability looks like it will work well.

Great pants, Pants are sized larger and have no CV Knee protection - Brian Van   MA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: These pants have a less baggy look and provide good protection from road rash
Cons: The pants do not have the mesh inserts for CV armor to protect your knees

I have purchased the Sliders 4.0 jeans and the khaki pants. The Slider 4.0 khaki pants are less baggy and have a neat look to them. They still are not type of khaki pants like Dockers that you can wear during the day at work because they are loose in the legs. The khaki pants have lots of seams and show gathering along the edges which is normal because they are lined with DuPont Kevlar. The Kevlar is ample and does cover all the typical drag surfaces if you slide along the pavement. They are longer cut so they don't ride up when seated on your bike. I am 5'11 and weigh 205 lbs. I purchased the 34x30 tan khaki pants and they fit well. I would buy one size less than you are in your favorite khaki pants because they run large. They are still a little long but that's what you want when riding so they cover the boot and prevent air from flowing up the leg and flapping like a sail. I was surprised that the khaki pants lacked the adjustable inner mesh pockets for the CV knee pads the jeans have them. I figured that the Slider 4.0 jeans and khaki pants had the same protection. The jeans are definitely better protection because of the armor in the knees CV armor must be purchased separately. If you buy the jeans make sure you or your significant other does NOT dry the jeans in the dryer on high heat of the Velcro CV armor pockets will get fused together. My wife figured that they were like all my other jeans and ruined the CV pockets. I have ordered another pair of jeans and will make sure they are only washed by me and air dried to prevent damage. Another small point about the khaki pants is that the belt loops are small, therefore you cannot wear a wide belt. I like to wear a cartridge belt to make sure the riding pants stay up in the event I slide along the ground. You can only wear a narrow belt with the khaki pants, but the wide belt works great with the Slider 4.0 jeans. I hope I never need to test the Kevlar during a slide out, but it's worth the extra money for the protection they provide. A friend of mine in the Army slid out with denim jeans and had 3 layers of skin peeled off his hip and knee. Not pretty and it took a while to heal and a few skin grafts to fix the damage. Safe riding to you all. Wear the gear

Sliders Kevlar Pants are Better than jeans - Eric L.   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warmth, fit, looks, deep pockets, kevlar protection
Cons: Scratchy around the knees, shows grease

I have been wanting to get away from jeans for a while and these kevlar khaki sliders are just what I was looking for. They give a more retro look on my sidecar, especially tucked into my WWII era paratrooper boots and paired with my bomber jacket. I ordered the same size I wear in regular jeans and am glad I did not go down a size like many suggested--I felt better loose than tight, but what I got is a pair of pants that fit my 6' 235 lb. weightlifter's frame perfectly and are very comfortable save for a tendency of the stitching in the knee area to rub a bit. I plan on buying more and wish they came in a few more colors such as olive-green and brown.

Nice casual pants with kevlar protection - clue   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Safety, Look like normal pants, kevlar,
Cons: weird cut

These pants are pretty nice. The overall cut is good. They pretty much look like normal khakis and I can get away with wearing these to work. My only gripe is the cut of the crotch. They make a pretty bulge and are not cut like reg pants. I have to ride them low on my waist to mask this. My buddy also had a pair of the jean version of these...and his two bits were proudly on display.

Cons: I wish they came in as many colors as the cargos.

I bought these for my husband for Christmas. He sometimes rides to work without protective gear. He will be able to wear these khakis to work, and they will offer him some abrasion protection during his commute. He has not worn them yet, the weather is still too cold, but he says he is pleased with the quality and that they are true to size.

Great for riding to work buy a larger size than you think - jqpubliq   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Professional enough appearance, convenient, comfortable, kevarl panels
Cons: Size runs small, knee armor pockets add bulk and show stitching

I followed earlier reviews and bought smaller than normal, which turned out to be a mistake. I wear a 36x33 in normal pants based on earlier reviews, I bought a pair of these kevlar pants in 34x34 for good measure. No question about it, I needed a 38x34. The additional length accommodates boots and a bent-knee position on the bike, but not so much that it's overlong when I'm at work. But the waist was way too small.I generally wear dark wool trousers and often suits to work, so these are certainly more casual than normal for me, but they work fine on a Friday when it's nice out.The knee armor pockets make them a little bulky through the legs. The seams show a little velcro where the pockets for the armor pads open, and you can see stitching where the pockets are held to the shell. Overall, though, they're passable for a business casual, polo-shirt type environment, and easily make the transition from a safe ride to wearing around the office so you don't need to change riding pants all the time.

Casual look with kevlar protection - Larry   AL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Affordable, Good casual look
Cons: knee pad pocket uncomfortable

Just what I need. I can ride to work and keep these motorcycle pants on. Great casual look pants for going out and about and still have the peace of mind with the kevlar inside them. The area for the knee pads feel scratchy on my legs when walking around with them. As long as they perform, it is hard to beat the price and look.

Color Faded Badly - ACL   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable
Cons: color faded on top of legs and areas exposed to sun while riding.

Purchased these and was pleased with the sizing of the waste. The length is good as well, The legs exposed to the sun and elements faded badly after a few rides in the weather. The front top of the pants have faded and the bottom and back held color well. The legs seem to be extremely loose and I wonder if there would be any protection from a fall as the kevlar would move freely away from the knees, bottom and thighs seem to be properly fitted. Material seems to be fine just have become unsightly due to fading.

Slider pants - Keith Brown   CO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Nice and baggy where they need to be
Cons: Sizing not the same

Ordered black and khaki in same size, khaki fit better in the waist the black are tight and the material is different, the black picks up every bit of fluffdander and are not suitable for work which is why I bought them. If you want a general pant to wear then these will do although you might want to upsize if ordering the black pair

slick - slick   VT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Nice material, build quality. Comfortable
Cons: Massivly wide

This product would be 5 starts no question if it wasn't for the fact that there is room for 2 or 3 legs in each pant. I have no Idea why they made them so wide, but I feel like I'm wearing a paid on jnco jeans from the mid 90's. Don't even try tucking them into a paid of boots which you presumably might do with a pair of moto-khakis to complete that vintage look it will look like you are wearing riding jodhpurs. I assume they made them so wide so you could fit armor and stuff in there but they went way overboard. A shame because otherwise the pants are great.

Order with caution - Bryan L   AZ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Nice price, great customer service by CA
Cons: Poor fit, pants shrink quite a bit, baggier than the sliders jeans

I'll start off by saying that I really love the Sliders Kevlar jeans and the size was perfect after ordering according to the reviews I read. The khakis however run quite a bit larger than the jeans and shrink quite a bit. I did order the size according to the reviews I read and they did fit when they arrived, but after washing them they didn't fit at all. So I did order a size larger and they shrunk to almost perfect, but are still slightly too large. And they are quite a bit baggier than the jeans which when it comes to a work pant, really isn't good. The second pair also came with the back pocket button sewn all the wat through the pocket so you couldn't put anything in it. I had to remove the button in order to use the pocket. If they can get a better sizing chart, this would be a decent pair of pants. On a side note, CA customer service is excellent and let me return the original pants even though the had shrunk, so big props to them

get rid of internal velcro - tiger37373   Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: great look, can wear them to the office, love the kevlar protection
Cons: weird industrial velcro added to knee areas on new version

I bought the first versions of these pants and although they had some minor faults, they were pretty nice pants. This new version however has ultra irritating industrial velcro that will eat away at the skin on your knees. Once you cut the velcro out, they are once again great pants. If they want to have the option of putting armor in the knees, you need to have softer materials in there. Then I'd give 5 stars.

Eh, okay pants. - Mike   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Decent motorcycle pants that don't look like motorcycle pants. Reinforced with abrasion resistant material.
Cons: Runs longer than advertised. Poor stitching, Poor manufacturing.

I bought a pair of these in size 3030. When I tried them on, they felt like a 3034. So, I had to get them hemmed for another 10. Now, after washing them flipped inside out, some of the stitching from the manufacturer on the outside have come apart where the abrasion resistant material is sewn to the pants. Also, I noticed on one of the legs the actual treads of the fabric came a part on pants, but at that point I had already gotten them hemmed and before I washed them. These pants aren't worth the 89 I paid. I should have returned them when I received them and they were too long, but there was no shorter length available plus I didn't want to have to pay to get them shipped back. Be aware when buying. I wish the stitching would have been better on these pants. Also, I didn't buy the optional knee pads that you insert into the pants. Instead, I bought some knee pads that wrap around my knees. Just in case of an accident, I don't want my knee protection failing me.

Kevlar is hot - mxm64   PA Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: Good build quality, good price on sale, durable protection.
Cons: Hot, heavy, non-breathable, baggy fit, tight waist.

I was really hoping these khakis would work for me. I loved the idea of khaki riding pants I could wear all day in the office and still provide me adequate protection when I rode my bike tofrom work. Not having to slip on textile over-pants everyday would be great But in the end these did not work for me. I found the Kevlar to be too heavy and hot indoors. I felt like I was wearing vinyl pants, these did not breathe at all. The also were a little too baggy for the office. The description said they ran big, but I disagree. I had to return my first pair for the next larger size. But again CompAcc was great with exchanging for the larger size and in the end refunding my full purchase price less my return shipping cost for these. Still, I am a very CompAcc satisfied customer

Baggy is an understatement - Leo   OH Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: Well built, price
Cons: comically large

Nice pants if not for the over-pant sizing. Waist fit well, but legs were way too big.

Slider Trousers - Khaki Sliders   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: The material and seams are good and strong
Cons: The interior mesh pocket for the knee guards will rub your skin. The leg opening at the ankle has no strap or Velcro so they flap in the wind and cold air will run up your legs.

I bought the tan pair and the chocolate brown and will probably list them for sale on eBay.

Sliders Khaki - Burnie   NH Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: Quick Turnaround
Cons: Size To Small. Sewing Poor. Material Bunched All Over.

I have other denim sliders which I like a lot. I expected similar results form these. I was disappointed.

Sliders khaki armor pants - BellGato   MN Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: Seemed to fit ok
Cons: Not for use on a moving motorbike

Do you ride a 50cc moped to church on Sundays These are basically khaki pants like dockers that have small patches of yellow kevlar fiber sewn into the backside and near the knees. They struck me as appropriate for a sit down pancake breakfast, but NOT for wearing on a moving motorcycle. My theory is that if you meet the road with these they would shred apart upon impact regardless of some kevlar panels. Zero stars & Instantly returned.

Quality Control Needs Improving - McGee   CO Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: Quality of materials
Cons: Inconsistent sizing, poor asembly of inner sleeves, knee pads don't fit properly

The price and features of the Sliders pants seems attractive at first glance. The biggest flaw with the Khaki 4.0 line is the incredibly inconsistent sizing that I experienced. After three different rounds of ordering pants to obtain a proper fit, I spent nearly as much in return shipping and insurance as the pants themselves. I can't really blame the Sliders brand for my choice to continue making returns CompAcc, but I've never seen so much variation in fit in a single product line. Without going into a lengthy narrative, I never was able to hit the jackpot of acceptable length and waist size in these pants. I finally ended up keeping the 3rd pair I ordered becuase I was sick of making and paying for returns and just figured I'd make do with the poor fit the 36 size actually fit comfortably as an overpant on top of regular jeans Unfortunately, having decided to keep these pants on this third attempt, I then discovered that one of the inner mesh sleeves which hold the knee pads in place was sewn in twisted. The CE pad on the left side cannot be placed where it covers my knee - instead it pulls 90 degrees to the inside where it gives great coverage to the inside of my leg, but nothing for my kneecap. No twisting of the mesh, repositioning the velcro, or adjustment will get that pad in the correct place. This is not due to operator error since the right side seems to work fine. Since this was not discovered until after the first ride, I gave up on attempting yet another return on these.Bottom line - due to the way these pants are assembled, it would take significant tailor alterations to correct the fit and address the misplaced mesh kneepad pockets making them reasonable enough to use. The only practical use these pants offer to me is the kevlar lining. I've had to go back to slip on knee pads for impact protection. If I wanted a pair of abrasion resistant overpants that required seperate knee protection I most certainly would have chosen something different. I think the Sliders concept of the khaki kevlar pant is great, but until I hear about better consistency in their sizing I'll never mail order the Sliders brand again.
