Information and Details about the Sliders 4.0 Cargo Motorcycle Riding Pants
made by Sliders
Dark Brown Size 40-36 Only
Sliders® 4.0 Cargo Motorcycle Riding Pants are essentially the same as the Khaki 4.0, but include the Moto-Secure cargo pockets. These Riding pants designed to truly allow the rider to dress nice, but still be protected. The Cargos are still motorcycle specific pants, but do not look like it. Everything, including the roomy fit, the cargo pockets and the soft, yet heavy duty cotton used is designed help you enjoy the ride. The Sliders® 4.0 Khaki Motorcycle Riding Pants are made a very soft, yet very durable cotton that is backed in the critical areas by Dupont™ Kevlar® aramid panels. So if you happen to go down in your Sliders® 4.0 Cargo Motorcycle Riding Pants the cotton will hold up well, but it you wear through that the aramid adds significant protection AND keep the pants from just tearing apart like a normal pair of pants would.

The most significant addition is the adjustable armor pockets on the knees. You can now order Optional CE Approved Armor for your Cargo Pants. The armor can be positioned at 3 different spots to accommodate most riders leg length. After all, what good is armor if it is not in the right spot.

Sliders® 4.0 Cargo Motorcycle Riding Pants give you the look of a regular pair of pants, but the benefit of name brand aramid protection on all the CRITICAL areas. That's right the same material used in Bullet proof vests. Don't settle for just any pants, get Sliders® with genuine aramid Protection. Aramid is weight for weight five times stronger than steel, Aramid protection is a must in high performance applications from spacecraft to automobiles, from skis to motorcycle apparel and gloves.

Sizing Help: A size 34 waist may actually measure about 35 to 35.5 inches depending on how you measure it. They are a more relaxed fit and not a slim or straight fit. You can measure an existing pair of pant or shorts you have to help with your size selection. Basic rule of thumb is actual measurement is 1-1.5 inches larger than the stated size. The inseam is going to measure about .5 inches longer than the stated size to help keep your legs covered on the bike. See reviews for sizing.

Sizing Runs Large - Selden   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Very comfortable, large pockets, durable, 8 belt loops
Cons: Sizing runs large, not for hot weather

I bought a pair of these in blue three years ago, size 32x30, which is a size that fits me with almost every other brand of pants 5'7, 150 pounds, but the Sliders cargo pants run large. Even after several washings, which shortened the legs to the length I wanted, the waist was so large that without a belt they could slide over my hips, and I ended up taking the waist in by almost 2 using darts. My second pair khaki is nominally 30x30, and should be a perfect fit after a few washings. My first pair is holding up well after three years and 20,000 miles asphalt and off-road, but with grease stains, an accidental bleach spill, and normal wear and tear, they are ratty looking off the trail. I love the secure pockets and 8 belt loops the only pair of pants that I have with so many. Much more convenient to wear than overpants, although they don't pass as much air as mesh overpants, so they run hot in summer weather. Overall, the best pair of riding pants I have ever used.

Sliders - David   AZ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great fit
Cons: Mores color choices

I need a second pair .

Best pants ever - Tigger   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Bomb-proof in any type of weather, wash well, ride sit and walk well, breathe well
Cons: A bit warm in the deep of summer on account of the kevlar fabric

My first pair of cargo sliders is already a few years old and has seen a lot of use as I am a RiderCoach and wear them as often as possible on the range, both to demonstrate inconspicuous levels of good protection and because the cargo version can hold my range cards, chrono and a few more things, without spilling them back. I like them so much that I decided to buy another pair and wear pretty much only that on the range. If you could make a knee pocket to hold optional armor that would be awesome but hey, pretty good as it is.

Excellent Trousers - AzBrit   AZ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Nice fit, sized right, nicely made.
Cons: Haven't found any yet.

I'm a fairly big boy, so I was pleased that these are made to size unlike some of the Italian brands, they fit perfectly. They are also more comfortable than the pair from another manufacturer that I used to wear. They are very comfortable indeed. They also look sharp and when off the bike nobody would ever realize they are not 'normal' cargo pants. VERY pleased with my purchase.

Slider's pants - JohnD   CO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, soft, attractive
Cons: none

Comfortable riding pants with plenty of room in the pockets which are deep. I haven't been down while riding with the pants, but my cat's claws do not penetrate the Kevlar. A good sign. They are sized a little big which is also good which will allow for some long underwear under them come winter. I'm happy with the purchase and would buy them again.

Cargo Sliders - BMan   GA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Quality good, heavy duty, look like normal pants
Cons: Heavy in warm weather

Overall great pant. I will order another pair, but in a different color. Would recommend to my friends. I only wish they were a tad lighter material, but than again the protection from a fall would be lost. I get hot in warm, no hot weather. But than agin who doesn't.

Great Pants - mmogab   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Loose fit as described for riding and comfort
Cons: Heavy, they weigh double of what a normal pair of khaki pants weigh.

Really like these pants, they have generous size pockets and the quality of craftsmanship really is apparent. They are baggy as described but you want that for comfort when riding. Would defiantly buy another pair when needed.

Great pants - Olivesdad   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfy, pockets, Kevlar
Cons: None

Great riding pants. Look good off the bike. I have a 34 waist and the 34 pants fit perfect with a little room. Length is accurate as well. Had to go down a size for the basic jeans version of the sliders. Overall they are super soft and comfy. Heavy material When you grab them, you feel like you are holding 2 pair of pants. Can't really go wrong with these. Price is right and compacc ships fast.

Great gear - graym17   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great all day comfort
Cons: a little pricey

I bought these pants so I would not have to change from my over pants to work cloths. Nice heavy feel to the pant but not bulky. Very comfortable, I wear them all day at work with no issues . They are also good in the hot weather, been wearing them in 90 heat better than my mesh pants. I plan on getting more. If they were a little less expensive I would wear them as my every day pants.

Tough as nails - ScramblerGuy   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: comfortable, durable
Cons: none

I went down on asphalt with my Sliders on and although I broke my leg from the bike landing on me I had no road rash at all. The pants looked just the same other than the ER cutting them off. These pants can take a beating and I have two more pairs I will be wearing when I get back on my other bike.

Sliders Cargo pants - Chuck   MA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Seem well made, sized right, and comfortable
Cons: Heavy in hot weather

Seem like good riding pants. substantial heft to them hopefully reflecting their toughnessand resistance to tearing

functional pockets, belt loops - Tim Nevius   MI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well made, sized right, deep pockets, wear well, look good
Cons: none

This is the fifth pair of Sliders I've ordered since 2010. The first pair is completely worn out, the others are in good shape and still touring. Version 4.0 are the best fit and function yet. Highly recommended.

Stylish, runs large - Phiz   OR Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Looks good, comfy on the bike. Good price.
Cons: Pockets would be more usable with snaps velcro

I ordered one size down and they are still quite roomy. Not so big as to need returning but quite roomy. The knee area is a bit scratchy when walking for any distance, it is possible that a few washings will soften it... won't know for a while. Looks to be the armor pockets rubbing on the knees. Quality looks great, they look good at the office, and I like knowing there is a bit of protection if i hit the road at speed. Not a fan of the buttons on the cargo pockets but actually all the pockets are nice and deep, my phone stays put without the buttons. Still some velcro would be nice, I'll probably add my own.

Sliders 4.0 Cargo Pants - Mike   AK Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: quality, fit
Cons: heavy

I haven't worn them a lot yet, they are comfortable, fit as expected. I will buy again.

Too big - Trumprider   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Seem really nice, soft hand, well built
Cons: Size runs way too big

Most of the reviews said size runs true, so I ordered 3832. I am 5'-10, 210 lbs., 44R jacket, 3832 Dickies work jeans run a bit long, 30 inseams run just a tad short. X-large t-shirt. The pants were just at 2 too long and 2 too big in the waist. I mean they fell right down. I would have hemmed them, but obviously they're way too big n the waist too.Returned for 3630's, hopefully will be able to update this review, but they only have 36 waists in tan, which gripes me, because they had them in dark brown when I was ordering the other day. Other reviews are completely misleading, these run a full size larger than stated.

Sliders 4.0 Cargo Pants - Joe-n-Georgia   GA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: True cargo pockets, Kevlar protection
Cons: [None]

Protection with real cargo pockets, not those fake cargo pockets too tight to fit a wallet. Also, knee protection.

Sliders 4.0 Cargo Pants - Bill W.   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Protection & Fit
Cons: none

Fit was right on. Thick material although very soft. I feel very protected when wearing these pants.I like the button pockets, Velcro seems to continually close when I am trying to remove or put something in my pockets on other pants.Bill W.

Great sizing, comfortable fit - Mike   LA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fit and comfort
Cons: No cons

These are the second pair of Sliders I've ordered. Both pair fit the same. .....great I have long legs and small waist. Order your regular size. They will come in bike riding size. Even though the fabric is thick, it is soft. These cargo's are my going to meeting pants. It's nice to have ride worthy pants that look good

A good buy for the protection and with comfort. The fit was just right.

good deal - cs479   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: fit well, look good, comfortable
Cons: none really

Sliders are a heavy but comfortable pair of motorcycle pants that would minimize damage from friction and shear in the event of a fall or a slide. They fit well in my normal size and are comfortable enough to wear all day. I'm going to buy another pair.CS479

Good protection - Ryan   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: great protection, comfortable
Cons: limited colors available

I bought these trousers for work, and recently had a low-side. Even though I landed on my knees my legs survived with out a scratch, so they did their job. I was not wearing the armor.httpimgur.comgWWImCJ

Stellar - Jason   KS Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Everything
Cons: Button on Fly

So, these were my first real riding pants. I had some riding jeans, but these are simply the best riding pants I've ever owned. They are comfortable, durable, and I started just wearing them normally. I can even wear the tan ones to work with some dress shoes if needed. The only thing I'd like to see is there being a snap or a more secure button on the fly. Overall just a great product.

Heavy duty - Eric   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Thick, heavy material. Comfortable. Fits true to size. Good buy.
Cons: May be hot in summer.

I was pleasantly surprised by these pants. I've worn them several times now and really haven't found any problems. They're heavy material, seem to be of good quality, and they fit true to size. I can wear either size 34 waist jeans slightly tight or size 36 slightly baggy. With these pants I bought a 34 and they're very comfortable. They're a bit baggy in the seat and thighs but that works well when you're seated on the bike. I ordered my normal jeans length and they fit well on the bike, covering my boots with no problems. The only negatives I can think of is that they'll probably be hot in summer, and I wish they had a button or something to close the rear pockets. Great buy.

So far so good - Randy   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fit as advertised look great
Cons: None

Very happy, excellent value.

Cargo Slider Pants - Bill   MO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Outstanding pair of pants. Sized perfectly as advertized
Cons: [None]

The pants are great for protection but comfortable to wear. Great reinforcement in the hips, knees and thighs. I strongly recommend these pants. Also I really like the large cargo pockets

Great purchase - Great fit and quality   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Roomy and comfortable
Cons: Very warm for a summertime ride

Bought these pant for my son. He tried them on and they fit great

motorcycle gear - Ann   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: looks like great gear
Cons: none

I have never ridden a motorcycle. My son has a Harley and enjoys it. All of the motorcycle gear is for my son for Christmas. I am certain he will love it. Thank you for the prompt delivery and for being so nice to deal with,

Great gear - Buddy   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well made, comfortable, look great
Cons: Kind of heavy, maybe to hot for summer

Read that these pants were sized a little large so bought my regular size. Fit is great and they gook really good. Kevlar in all the right places to give you that added protection in the event you go down. Pockets are very deep so no worry of anything falling out. Bought both colors and love them both. You can't go wrong buying these pants.

happy customer - Laura   TN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: excellent color, soft, not too heavy
Cons: [None]

These were given as a gift. He commented on how much he liked the dark brown color and the soft hand of the materiel. He was very much hoping to find pants in this kind of mushroom brown shade. He hasn't worn protective gear on his legs in his years of riding and armored textile pants were not a hit with him. He was so pleased to receive these. I could see how impressed he was to have a regular and nice looking pair of pants to wear. I am happy for him to have the extra protection and all for a very reasonable price. I followed recommendations for sizing and it worked out perfectly.

Ed M - Ed   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fits well and very comfortable.
Cons: [None]

Sizes run big but great product.

Great Pants - OOTV   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: They are sized like street clothes i.e. 34x32 so picking the right size is easy
Cons: A little baggy for using the knee pad pocket

I use these pants for commuting and they are perfect for being able to get decent protection without looking like you're ready for outer space. Although a little baggy in the legs, I find them perfect to be able to wear strapped on kneeshin armor, vice the knee pads you can install in the internal knee pocket. I'm sure they would be fine for most people, I prefer to use the strapped on armor. I now have 4 pairs of sliders, 2 cargo, 1 khaki and 1 jean pair, so far other than the fading I got on the first cargo pair, I blame that on wearingwashing them so much, they have held up great.I will say I have had a slow speed drop while wearing the first pair I bough, they came out unscathed BTW, I have not experienced a more serious crash while wearing and hope I never will, but if I do I hope they hold up how I anticipate them to as they feel very sturdy.

Slider pants - Ramblunman   WV Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: A Pretty good all around motorcycle pants
Cons: They ride a little low, needed Velcro instead of buttons on cargo pockets

I really like these pants, sizing was accurate. I added kneepads to them and I use them for cold weather pants. I use a pair of cheap suspenders to hold them up, no worries. I hope the manufacturer fine tunes these, only fault being the buttons on the cargo pockets and they ride a little low on the hips. I meant four stars not five, good product

Slider Cargo - CJCTUCSON   AZ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: good protection, cargo pockets, comfortable
Cons: none

This is my second pair I like them so much. I plan to keep one pair with the solid knee protectors in them it is pretty darn hard getting these in and out and one pair without them. As in the video these are about 1 inch larger in waist than size and 1 inches longer in length. The added length really helps if you ride in a crouched position as the legs still cover the hiking boots I ride in. I would not change anything about them - OK maybe zipper pockets instead of buttons, but the buttons work fine.

Great Riding Pants - Randy   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: The pants are well made and fit very well.
Cons: The pants are a little heavy when just walking around.

Got my cargo pants and also a pair of the Slider jeans. I love them both. The pants are well made and fit very well. They are a little heavy, as expected, for just walking around. They offer a great combination of protection and good looks. As all the other reviewers have said, just ask for one size smaller in the waist that you would normally buy and they will fit well.

Cargo Pant - MJames   MI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Excellent fit, love the pockets and deep front pockets
Cons: None

Very durable material, feels comfortable, extra length in the legs are great. More confident about riding without the worry of tearing expensive jeans. No need for hot leather chaps.

Solid Product - Deagle   MI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: [None]
Cons: [None]

Fortunately, I can't rate how well these work in a crash, and that's the most important feature of these pants. But as far as fit and appearance, these Cargo pants rate very high. They are a little heavier than jeans, but not bulky. They just feel sturdy and look very good. I wear Levi's 550 relaxed fit jeans in 40x34. I ordered the same size in the Cargo pants and they fit great in the waist. Maybe a touch longer in length but like others have said, looks just right when legs are bent on the bike. Overall I'm very happy so far.

Riding pants - Jim   DE Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great service and product
Cons: [None]

Received pants very quickly. Pants are a bit large for the size. Glad I followed others advice and ordered a waist size down. Very comfortable to ride in.

Great riding pants - Susan   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: heavy duty, comfortable, true to size, & ample pocket space
Cons: hot

I purchased these pants for my husband for a trip from OH to New England a couple of weeks ago first week of August. He said they are very comfortable & with his riding boots they fit good. He has a short inseam. He really needs 29 length pants but usually wears a 30 because 29 is hard to find. They were comfortable while in New England and hot on the way their in 90 degree temps. I don't know that this is actually a con because I purchased the to provide protection. I laundered them twice during our trip and they did not shrink all or wrinkle too badly. They arrived the expected time. The pants were significantly less expensive than all the other riding pants I found on the market. They are an excellent value.

Sliders 4.0 Cargo Review - Chuck W   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good Kevlar coverage, fits well, price is right, heavy duty material
Cons: Belt loops are a bit of a tight fit for my belt........

Well built pants, THICK Kevlar coverage on the knees, thighs and butt, yet they are comfortable to wear. They are a little hot on really hot days high 90's but I was very comfortable on the bike, it was hot after I got off....I ordered the 34 waist and normally wear 36 and they fit just right, no shrinkage in the wash as far as I could tell after several washes. I also bought the jeans pants and they are awesome too I will buy another pair or more.

Slider Cargo - CJCTUCSON   AZ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: good protection, cargo pockets, comfortable
Cons: none

I am glad I found these riding pants. The cargo pockets give a place to carry wallet, phone, etc without sitting on them. They are heavy in weight and have protection in the important areas. I hope I never need it, but I think these will do the job at the speeds I ride sub 50 mph. All the things in the other reviews are correct. About and inch large in the waist not washed yet, also longer than sized which helps in the seating position on my small motorcycle. You do feel the knee pad pocket, but not an excessive problem. I have not tried inserting the knee pads yet. I would highly endorse these as a mid weight form of protection short of getting very heavy and padded motorcycle pants for your lower body.

Sliders 4.0 MC Pants - Mark   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Protection, Looks, Comfort.
Cons: Small amount of friction in knee area.

Great looking and fitting Great protection Great value. These pants fit very well, are well constructed, and stylish. I just finished a five-day summer bike trip in 85 degree humid conditions - the pants were not as hot as I thought they would be and breathed and performed well. I will be ordering another pair

Ric - Ric   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: good quality
Cons: [None]

I wear a 3432 in jeans ordered these the same size a good fit for sure. The knee pads fit inside perfectly.

Sliders Cargo Pants - Pete   AL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great fit, adjustible knee pads, lots of pockets, good Kevlar coverage
Cons: A bit hot for summer wear on the Gulf Coast.

Talked with Comp. Acc. rep about size and fit. He gave good advice and I ordered accordingly. Fit is perfect, appearance acceptable anywhere. Quality appears to be very good and probably durable. Highly recommend for cooler climate wear or winter here in Alabama.

great pants and want more - VFR714   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: great looking casual and bike pants
Cons: little long for walking and only 1 color

They fit very well, lose casual pants and i wish there are more color, black, brown. .. i would buy some more.

Slider 4.0 Cargo Pants - Thumpercrazee   GA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Useable everyday. Comfortable, Storage.
Cons: Slightly warmer due to the fabric than the bootcut jeans.

I've worn these on some day long rides in South Georgia where it's very warm and still find them comfortable. They look great and I really like the cargo pockets for my wallet which is large and my phone. This removed the pressure points on the saddle area which allows more comfort. For protective clothing, I find these to be a classy alternative for everyday riding. I plan to obtain more.

Great Slider Trousers - Galigly   MA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Keeps wind and the chill out
Cons: A little baggy but no prob...could be worn over other trousers

Got the khaki ones and the knee armour which went in very easy. Strapped on my suspenders and was good to go. I am normally a 32 but the length was kind of long...even on the bike so no problem exchanging for the 30 which was perfect. Definitely go for the cargo pocket version..good for stashing your wallet.Highly recommended also for the price.

Great Cargos - Tiger Al IA.   IA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: well made and sizing was close with a little room to spare in the waist
Cons: none so far

the 3630 fit just right which is close to the 3629 jeans i normally wear. If you are going to do some hiking you might need some over the knee shorts as the kevlar lining is a little rough inside. I like the color which should keep you cool in sunny hot weather. Pockets should keep everything you put in them secure. Will by another pair because these are so good.

Great Pants - GW   KY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Perfect wait. Look good.
Cons: None

I have a 35 waste. So now I buy 36 in reg. pants. With Sliders I bought 34 they fit perfect.

Great Protection from Pants that Don't Scream Motorcycle Pants - Road Dog   UT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great at blocking wind, Good-looking, Soft finish
Cons: Because they are so thick they are a tad stiff--but they may loosen up after washing.

Thanks to Rueben for his YouTube reviews on gear. These pants are exactly what I was looking for Something that would be good windriding protection, but look like normal nice cargo pants when I get to where I'm going. I'd say they block 90-95 of the wind that normally goes right through normal jeans or cargo pants. Though a bit stiff, they are nice and thick and comfortable.

Sliders for every rider - John Weber   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, warm true to size, deep pockets
Cons: Not easy to wear under chaps

these pants are the best riding pants I could have hoped for to ride in. They keep the wind out and give good protection and look really good too. These are great pants.

Great Pants - Sully   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great fit. Plenty of Kevlar.
Cons: Heavy weight for summer wear

Good buy. This is the second pair of riding cargo pants that I have purchased. The first was the BUILT IRON WORKERS from Cycle Gear. I returned them because the Kevlar in the knee did not cover the knee when sitting on the bike. The Sliders have significantly more Kevlar and extend well below the knee when riding.

very comfortable - Ronbo   MO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfort is unmatched
Cons: knee armor doesn't stay on the knee, no way to really make the jeans do that

I love these jeans. They have all the pockets i want, are supurbly comfortable on and off the bike, and look normal. When riding twisty roads, i strap the CE armor and fold the jeans legs with a velcro cinch strap i found at menards. Then the armor stays put I like the pants. they feel like they will protect. I have a set of thor knee guards I will wear inside them for more aggressive riding.Good product. good service

Sliders cargo pants - Ghostrider   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Perfectly designed for bike riding
Cons: Sizing runs a tad large

Well-designed and well-made. Comfortable riding. Cargo pockets maximize usefulness of pants. Lighter color helps with cooling on hot sunny days.

The cargo pants are just what the doctor ordered. They are very sturdy and comfortable. They have lots of pockets and are made with the rider in mind. Excellent fit

Sliders 4.0 Cargo Motorcycle Riding Pants - drmorgus   LA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: well constructed, accurate fit description, heavy, extremely hot to wear, roomy pants.
Cons: button waist closure, order failed to mention my original pants color was on back order.

well constructed, accurate fit description, heavy, extremely hot to wear, roomy pants. I haven't worn them yet as it is still a hot end of summer, but if they wear well and are comfortable when riding, I will order another pair.

Nice Pants - motophil   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Quality feel and good fit
Cons: Shrunk a little

I bought a pair of the Sliders 4.0 Khaki pants as well as a pair of the Cargo pants. Both are great quality and seem they would hold up well if they ever had to be used. They are thick and heavier than say a pair of jeans but still comfortable to wear. Currently riding in 95 to 100 degree heat here in texas and they aren't burning me up more than any other pants would be. As far as fit I wear a 40x34 in most jeans. I ordered my normal size in both and both still fit well enough after washing them both. The standard 4.0 khaki pants fit a little snug in the waist after washing but the length is a little long which is what I like for moto pants. The cargo pants are looser in the waist but a little shorter in the length after washing than I would like. If I were to order more I would go up a waist size in the standard Khaki and go up one longer size in the cargo. Hope this helps others.

Sliders 4.0 - SteveST1300   NJ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable with good abrasion protection
Cons: [None]

I bought these to use primarily for riding to work on those days when it was hot. I can wear these to work and not look sloppy and conform with our dress code but still be safe on the bike. If I was to wear these while ridding other than to work I would wear armor undereath them.

Slider 4.0 Cargo - Dan G.   MN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, Not miserable to wear in warm weather.
Cons: 36 x 30 - a little long in the inseam - but not as bad as I had expected from other reviews.

I was surprised at how comfortable these were, the inner liner for top of legs I think helped a bit. Wore these in Colorado on a BMW RT - so not a lot of airflow on pants, they were still comfortable to wear. Did not try with armor. Construction is good. Could have done without the slider names stitched into the cargo pant pocket flap, but at least it was same general color as the pant so not too obtrusive.

SLIDER 4.0 - Ryan Rush Wa   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Pants came in right on time
Cons: A little on the long side .

Best pair of riding pants i have ever bought waist is right on , inseam is a little long but that is ok . I ride a Turbo Busa and I hope I never need the Kevlar but know that i have it . Will be ordering a second pair soon .

Don't low side without them - JT   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Sturdy construction. Accurate fit.
Cons: Can be too warm for summer use

Great pants at any price. Plenty of reinforcement in the right places. The fit exactly right with just enough extra space for Bohn adventure pants underneath. Their sturdiness is also their limitation. They proved to be very warm for midday use in Virginia. I look forward to my fall rides though.

great pants - jims   NV Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fit good , kevlar pants, extra pockets in front are good. Do not need to put anything in rear
Cons: none

I thought the fit was good I wore these from Reno to Phoenix. I got the beige because I knew it would be hot out. The loose fit is good on a 10 hour ride, better than levi's.

Sliders Kevlar Cargo Motorcycle Pants - 80inwb   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great fit, comfortable, kevlar, Good value for riding pants
Cons: No pockets for knee protectors

Sizing was spot on with extra length needed for riding comfort without legs riding up.Well made, stitching straight and tight.I would recommend these.

Great kevlar motorcycle riding pants - irisblue   AZ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good quality, great fit in waist, comfortable
Cons: None

Ordered these for my son...he said they were GREAT..loves them. Length was longer than expected...he usually wears 32 length and ordered 34 just in case...after washing to allow for any shrinkage, they still needed a little hemming....otherwise, perfect fit and good quality. He will be ordering another pair.

Why Not - Mark   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good fit, well made, kevlar
Cons: Color is browner than showin in the add... I would prefer the add color

I have a few pairs of sliders so thought why not get another with a different look. These fit the bill nicely and are a bit dressier than the jeans look the others have. I used to use leather chaps but so appreciate not having to take them on and off. I have not had to test them yet and hope to never test them, but others have testified to the incredible durability of Kevlar pants so I trust that if I ever do go down with these on, I will be pleasantly surprised as well. I wish that the color better matched the add color as these are browner than the look in the add considerably.

Sliders 4.0 Riding Pants - alex   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well made and durable
Cons: none

These newer Sliders pants have a pocket for the knee protectors, which is good news as the original did not offer this. They are comfortable and run a touch large which is good, the cotton material doescan shrink a bit when you wash them. These are great riding pants and have recommended to those I ride with, they fit loose and don't bind when riding .. wiggle room.Went with the Knee Protectors, needs a little getting used too .. but once you have the positioning how you like they're comfortable.

Great kevlar motorcycle pants - 07 R1   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great fit, Kevlar lining

These fit similar to my Wrangler relaxed fit jeans. The sizing was the same too. I have a bubble but and was worried the pants would be to tight, but they fit perfect

Cargo Sliders - dave   NE Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Very comfortable. kevlar lining Great price.
Cons: Sizing can be a bit tricky.

I thought I'd get hot with the sliders on, but that never happened. They are very comfortable. I like the sliders so I'm not sitting on my wallet.

Good Product - Rick   AL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Exactly as advertised
Cons: Paid attention to reviews stating size is longerlarger than listed

The cargo pants are true to size. I made the mistake of taking the opinion of several reviews stating they run longer than stated. I ordered 3232 and that's exactly what they are. For me that made them a little short when riding. I will order another pair, but this time they will be 3234. It's easy to take them up, but not enough fabric to let them out.

Best pants on earth - Tigger   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Really do the job and really look like good cargos.
Cons: None so far.

Wore those to go to the office, to the plant and to teach on the range. Awesome. Pockets will swallow range cards, phone, pen and even safety glasses. Colour is pleasant and steadfast. Finish finer than expected, and the fore-to-aft differential cut at the waist is world-class for comfort. Warmly recommended buy, especially at that price.

Sliders 4.0 Jeans are Excellent - Novaflyer   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good fit, Kevlar, well constructed

Great jean, Kevlar in all the right places, leg room to use knee and leg armor, reasonably priced, and they look good too This is my second pair.

Best Casual Motorcycle Pants - Larry   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: comfortable, well made, tremendous value, kevlar protection
Cons: cuffs are a little wide and can catch on footpegs

These are super strong, generously lined motorcycle pants that because of the cargo pockest adds even another layer of protection. The fit was right on. I'm definitely going to get another pair. You won't go wrong.

True to size, well made - Selden   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: True to size, well made
Cons: Expect some shrinkage

My pair arrived today. It's hard to find pants for someone with a 32 waist and 29.5 inseam. The Sliders cargo pants seemed a little looser than I expected in the waist and seat, and the legs were about 12 longer than the nominal length, which meant they were an inch longer than I wanted. Since they are 100 cotton except for the Kevlar, I washed them in hot water, then dried at high heat to produce as much shrinkage as possible. I estimate that the waistseat shrank .5 and the legs shrank 1 perfect fit after washing. I appreciate that the cargo pockets have buttons, rather than Velcro.

Slider pants - Stidriver84   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable...great ventilation

Bought these a few weeks ago and started using them right away. Comfortable. They don't catch on anything. Definitely would recommend. Haven't tried washing them yet, but i'm sure it will not be an issue in any way.

Comfortable and GREAT quality - Thomas   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: COMFORTABLE - Very good quality - Good color TAN
Cons: Very slightly warm when ambient temperature is up.

I am very surprised on quality and cost. I can honestly say that I wear these pants even when I am not ridding because they fit so well, are comfortable, and look really good. For the price you cant beat them. I haven't had a chance to test out their protection thank god but the way they are constructed I can only feel confident they will do the job. I have worked with Kevlar in the past and this appears to have sufficient coverage in all the slip and slide locations needed. The way the Kevlar is lined and covered it is next near unnoticeable when wearing, you have to pinch the fabric to feel the lining. The seams do not cause pressure or friction on your body and the lining is not one to cause lumps or funny folds when riding or walking. Try a pair, if you don't like you can always send them back, or you can do like I did order a second pair.

nice pants - Darren   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fit and look just like regular cargo pants .
Cons: none

Feels like your wearing your regular pants. A little warmer with the Kevlar lining . I need to try the knee protectors with my next pair . Very well made . Size may run slightly big but not enough for me to order a smaller size .

high quality - Saxon117   NJ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: high quality contruction
Cons: run a little small

I'm a guy that usually only wears leather or ballistic nylon gear. I bought these for commuting to work. At first i was a little worried about their protection ability. But as soon as I opened the shipping package I was very happy The only drawback I found is I should have ordered them a size larger then my normal size. They run a tad small. But I still give them a big thumbs up

Solid, comfortable - Shawn Mahaney   SC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good pants - ride well, comfortable, look good.
Cons: Big lettering on side

I just wore these for their first long ride, two hours each way with a few hours spent at the destination. They were everything I wanted. Not too hot, but still felt like they'd do the job in a spill. They fit me ok, and look nice. They were comfortable riding and sitting in a theater for the evening. But I could do without the large embroidered lettering on the side announcing the brand name and the fact that you're wearing Kevlar reinforced pants.

Better than advertised - Roger   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Look great, high quality, sturdy but great feel.
Cons: None

I have been trying to talk myself in to buying a pair of Slider Cargo pants for a year and all I can say is Why did I wait I'm 6'4 and 250 lbs The first pair I ordered was the same size as my work uniform pants but were to large in the waist. I sent them back -No Hassle Return- and reordered my normal waist of 38 and the fit is correct. I ordered 36 lenght so they don't ride up while riding. So far riding in temps from 55 to 80 the pants have felt great, maybe a little warmer than reglar jeans but not hot to wear at 80. Excellent riding pants.

Sliders Cargo Pants - Michigan Doug   MI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good fit and well made
Cons: [None]

Nice fitting loose enough for comfort. Wasteband is just right. I buy the next longer inseam so they cover good while riding. My first pair of sliders were too short while sitting. Hopefully I don't have to test these out. I just had a guy turn left in front of me with no signal. He obviously didn't see me. Almost got to test them then.

Heavy duty pants - Jakhack   MN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well made, lots of protection, heavy weight
Cons: Rise seems a bit short

These are surprisingly heavy duty pants, that I have used in quite cold weather. I am not sure they would be good for hot weather riding. With all the protective Kevlar fiber in them, there is not a lot of air flow, but they sure did not skimp on this protection. I bought them for protection, so this is the way I want them made. I will be buying another pair later in a different color. The rise is a bit short for me - my jewels seem a bit cramped if I pull them to my hip level, but that may be a just a problem based on the compromise necessary making pants for so many different body sizes and styles. It is not bad enough to trouble me, but was a bit distracting at first. I don't seem to notice it now that they are broken in, but I am a bit concerned if there is any shrinkage.I have never used cargo pockets before, but found them to be really useful especially when riding. They are out of the way, but very secure. In sum, these are great pants for the money. I could not be more pleased.

Slider pants - LeRoy   OR Recommended by Reviewer: Yes

DN - DN   MS Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good quality
Cons: Sizing

I have sliders jeans, khakis, and now these and the sizing is not consistent among them. The jeans are big for their size, the khakis just right, and these are a bit snug in the waist. Other than that, good quality and good price. I wish the cargo pockets had Velcro instead of buttons, as this is where I carry my pistol on long rides.

Sliding my sliders - Mac   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: super tough, very durable, easy to clean and comfortable.
Cons: they don't breath well on hot days

I recently purchased my sliders cargo pants on a Friday and received them quickly the following Tuesday. A week to the day after I got them, I encountered a large oil spill in the middle of a blind right hand hairpin turn, and went down. I slid approximately 35 feet through the hairpin and promptly hopped up, picked up my bike and pushed it out of the road. After checking out the bike I realized what had just happened and checked myself out. My jacket had a hole in the elbow thankful for the armor my boots were scuffed pretty bad but my brand new sliders were unharmed. Aside from a large amount of oil and dirt, my sliders performed flawlessly Not a scratch on me. THANKS for the great product well worth the price.

Perfect mix of comfort & safety - Ted B   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, sturdy, look good
Cons: none

I'm impressed by the Slider 4.0 Cargo pants. They are very comfortable and they look no different than normal cargo pants. Combine that with the added safety of the kevlar and the optional knee armor, and you've got an obvious winner. One small note on size these ran perfectly true for me 34x32 fit in the waist and gave me plenty of length to cover my boots even while sitting on the saddle. However, I had to order two pairs, because I assumed they'd have similar measurements to the Sliders jeans, which ran a full size too big for me in the waist I am wearing 32x32 in the black jeans. Just FYI if you plan on ordering both products.

Just as advertised - astewart4242   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Light Weight Kevlar in the important areas Mostly Great Fit
Cons: Waist seems a little smaller than comparable khaki's

The pants are comfortable, light weight, and fill a niche that most others can't fill. They could use a little more room in the waist, but they still fit well. The only way you would know that these are motorcycle pants, would be if you knew the name Sliders or the pads were in and you were sitting down. I don't expect that these will be as durable as dedicated motorcycle pants, but they were never meant to be. They are a little added protection for those days that you would have walked out without any. Great product, and great price

Great Pants - adt   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Appearance, weight, protection, comfort, quality
Cons: none

I purchased one each of the Sliders 4.0 Jeans, 4.0 Khakis, and 4.0 Cargos. The jeans are blue, and the Khaki and Cargos are both tan. The tan in the Khakis and Cargos is just a tad darker than in the product pic, for which I am glad. The color is quite nice. The blue in the jeans is represented well on the product page.I normally wear Wrangler relaxed fit 38x30 jeans. I can wear the regular fit, and can easily fit in regular or relaxed 36x30. While the waist is fine, the thighs tend to be a bit tight, so I wear the 38x30 relaxed with a belt for a comfortable fit. This is my normal jean fitment. Now on to the Sliders I could see that there were different sizing opinions on each review, so I decided to order all the same size, in my normal jean size, and see what fits best. I have to say the Khakis come closest to my normal fit. The Jeans are just a tad big, the Khakis fit me great, and the Cargos are just a tad tight in the waist, but a great loose fit everywhere else. I am not sure if every pair would be this way or if the sizing varies that much on each model. But all of them fit well enough that I will keep them all and wear them a lot. I really do like these pants. I needed something I could wear to work and be comfortable and protected, yet not have to deal with overpants. They all feel like I am wearing a pair of flannel lined pants. All the pants are very comfortable and warm on cold days, but not overly hot on warmer days. I could wear them through the summer here in the southeast hot-humid, although it will be a bit hot in the middle of summer if I'm working outside.I don't wear the knee protectors with them, so I cannot comment on that, but the armor pockets seem very comfortable and well thought out. I have not tested the protection that these pants would provide in a slide, and I certainly hope that I don't ever have to. Saying that, the stitching quality, weight of the Kevlar, and overall feel of the pants gives me confidence that these would hold up to their claims. I really do like these pants, and I am glad that I got them. When I order more, I will order the Cargos and Khakis in different colors. Nothing against the jeans at all they are great pants and I love them. But the Cargos and Khakis look good enough to wear to work or any other place where business-casual attire would be fitting.I hope this helps others in their decision. I am glad I ordered them as they seem to be one of the best deals out there for Kevlar lined casual pants. I will certainly order more as I need them.Thanks.

These Are Really Nice - D Jphnston Toronto Can   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great fit, Great quality, Great protection
Cons: Nothing so far

Just received. 3632 true to size. Just a bit on generous side but not too much in waist maybe an inch perfect with belt not bunched up and just touches floor with no shoes but perfect length with shoes and when sitting position needs to be a bit long when riding 'cause they ride up. A little baggy, not too much, but I'm slim. Not too big but should still be ok if washing shrinks a bit. Knee armour english spelling seems comfortable and positioned right when seated and standing. Like the heavy feel just like denim jeans. Nice stitching. Had hoped tan colour would be lighter, but still a nice light brown. Nice deep pockets. Zipper appears good quality. Unless they shrink too much, I'll be very happy with these. Considered listing button pockets as con but the more I think about it, they're better than Velcro because you can leave them undone for easy access or close securely whereas Velcro always seals and you have to tug on them, sometimes with 2 hands, to open.

Great Jeans - 73 Norton   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Very comfortable, easy to position knee pads, great price
Cons: [None]

I was looking for something a little lighter than jeans to wear in the summer. When they arrived, i could see that they were very solid and well made. the fabric is a heavy khaki but breathes well. The pockets for the knee pads give you a lot of flexibility of positioning. I took them out for a test ride in 85 degree weather. They are a little baggier than my relaxed fit jeans but that is a good thing when riding. they did not bind or pinch anywhere. I am still playing around with the positioning of the knee pads to get the ideal coverage. These pants can be worn out to dinner or even to work if your environment is business casual. They do not look like motorcycle pants and the knee pads don't really show at all.I am extremely happy with them.

Very good pants. - Wesley   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good looks and comfortable.
Cons: none

Originally everyone said that these pants run big, but I didn't find that to be the case. I ordered a smaller size and had to return them and order my normal size pant. To be fair I'm athletic and always have to get baggy pants to fit me right so if you're athletic built, order at least your normal pant size and if you want to wear something under them, then order a bigger size. These pants look good enough to wear to work and are very comfortable on long rides and have lots of storage. Overall, extremely good pair of pants.

Sliders Kevlar pants - Dave in STL   MO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, and convenient to ride in
Cons: Do run large, more colors

I bought these as my first real riding pants in 25 years of riding, and dam, why did I wait Much more comfortable than jeans, and easier to get to stuff with the cargo pockets. Not able to comment on how they do in the hot, but 3 hours in 40-45 degree was not too bad. Good buy.

Sliders Kevlar Gear is Worth the Money - Birdman   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Outstanding comfort, plenty of belt loops and pockets for all day use, Kevlar panels
Cons: Not a con but, runs a little big as advertised in waist.

I have had this product for a couple of months and have been very pleased with it. I got the additional CE knee armor when I made the original purchase. Armor fits well with plenty of adjutment capability to fit just right. The kevlar pants are very comfortable for all day riding. They are a little warm on hot days but, that can be expected. I like the idea to be able to get off the bike and go do something with out looking like a biker while I am out and also have the protection while I am riding. They are cargo pants and as advertise they are a little baggie but, for me that is what I like...allowing air to move about. Also a plus, is that they are a thick cloth so that when a big bug hits you at highway speeds you do not feel it but you know it.Excellent product

Very comfortable, but go long - CamGSA   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Very comfortable for all day wear, kevlar protection
Cons: None

I normally wear a 33x34 in jeans and went with the 32x34 kevlar pants based on reviews I read elsewhere. Off the bike the pants fit perfect, just loose enough in the waist to not bind when sitting on the bike. Unfortunately, the 34 length was a bad choice. On the bike the pants rode up like all pants do which I didn't take into consideration. Definitely order the next longer length i.e., 36 and you won't be disappointed. Read my review of the Slider 4.0 Khaki pants for more information on the fabric and wear-ability. Besides the length, very happy with these kevler motorcycle pants - a solid 5 stars.

Good Value - M Fitterling   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Durable, Good Looking, Comfortable
Cons: Little Warm on Hot Days

I first bought a pair of Sliders Cargos back in mid-2013. I wore them for three years before I fell crossing a creek and they tore just above the knee as I was trying to extricate my almost broken leg from under my drowning Bonneville. Those pants had probably over 20 thousand or so of hard riding in all kinds of weather, on road and off, at sea level and 12,000 feet.. They were brown and by last summer the top of the thighs were almost tan from sun exposure while below the knee they were the same original color. When I went down I was only going one or two miles per hour, so could not attest to their abrasion resistance, but I did have knee armor in and did not bruise or skin my knee my injury was a result of twisting the leg which no pants could really prevent. Next time I saw these on sale I bought another pair and reused my old knee armor. The only cons that kept me from giving them 5 stars is they are a little warm on really hot days but that's a bonus on cold days and that I would like to see a way to keep the armor in place better on the front of the knee. They did improve the pocket for the armor in the new version I bought, however.

Slider 4.0 Cargo - Jeff   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Solf not to hot in warm weather and great padding

Nice pants for the price. - JustPlainDave   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable and seemingly durable. Good value for the price. Sized right.
Cons: Button fell off after a few wearings.

I've worn these pants about a half dozen times in the last two weeks and like them so far. They are a bit heavy but, are made from a nice thick fabric and soft too. Maybe a little too heavy duty to wear around the office all day. I like the fact that the legs are cut a little long and don't ride up on the boots. On the other end, I think they are cut a little short from the crotch up. Another 12 to 1 in height would be nice. I ordered my normal size and they fit pretty well.On the down side, I did have the fly button fall off already which was not expected for as many times as I've worn them. I'd like another cargo pocket closure option velcro other than the two buttons.

Sliders 4.0 Cargo Motorcycle Riding Pants - Mel A   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes

Cons: Little low cut at waist

Bought these for more protection than my blue jeans offer. I'm 6-4 and 250 lbs with a 40 in waist.I got the 38 in waist and they fit perfect. Length is 34 in and is also just right. I wish the belt loop top of the pants was a little higher, other than that I'm pleased.

The jeans are well made, they felt a little heavy the first few times that I wore them, but it was in the mid to upper 90's. They are sized as noted. In the ad.I would recommend these for other riders looking for added protection in case of an accident.

Sliders - MrBill   NM Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Very nice riding pants
Cons: Wished they were cut a bit higher for the waist.

Overall these are very good riding pants for the money. Bit warm on hot days though nothing worth worrying about. As for the fit, inseam was fine, waist size seemed to be a bit smaller then advertised. Only thing I would like to see changed would be how it is cut to the waist. If it was about an 1 1 12 higher on the waist, they would fit better. I would buy them again.

Cheapest Kevlar out there - DWolvin   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Can't beat the price, sized generously
Cons: heavy, fabric is different every set I get

There are basic riding pants with a swath of Kevlar on the knees and hip rear area. They look enough like normal pants that I can get away with riding to a 'business casual' work environment and wearing them all day, but they are a bit hotter than jeans. I haven't tested them, but they have to be better than riding in in slacks...

Slider cargo pants - Tom   OR Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Kevlar lined, pockets for knee armor, large cargo pockets, true to size
Cons: A bit baggy looking, but not bad

The pants are warm and have roomy pockets. They have a generous lining of Kevlar and there are pockets in which to place knee armor highly recommended. Much more protection than just jeans. Washable.

Decent protection - DWolvin   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fairly breathable, good kevlar coverage
Cons: a bit stiff and heavy

Sliders seem to be back to better quality fabric, the brown cargo pants I just picked up feel similar to moleskin, or fuzzy soft denim, but they look like normal cargo pants. The button cargo pockets keep them closed on SoCal freeways trust me, not all do, and they are a bit generous in both length and width I'd guess a size big. I have never tested Sliders pants, but I think anything better than jeans is a no brainer at this price.

Good riding pants - Michwing   MI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Heavy material, good fit, nice deep pockets
Cons: Stitching around Velcro in the knees is rough, irritates the skin.

I plan to use these pants for riding to work. The couple of times I have used them this fall, they have worked well. The heavy material might be a little too warm in the summer, will have to update the review when the warm weather returns. The pockets are deep, keeps stuff from working their way out. 8 belt loops keeps the belt where it should be when riding. The only issue is the stitching around the Velcro in the knees is rough and irritates the skin. Since I do not plan to use the knee protectors, I will probably remove the Velcro or sew softer material over the knee area. This was also an issue with the Jean version I also own.

I like them - Bede   NM Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good fit, sturdy fabric, nice color
Cons: None so far

I hope to never test the protection but I can say these pants are a nice buy. They fit well. They are not as over-sized as the jeans but still larger than the size indicates. I ordered the same size as the jeans, 3630, and they fit fine. The fabric is heavy duty and feels like it will have some protection even before the Kevlar takes affect. The pockets are big, they can fit a lot. I got the brown and it is dark browncopper color, I like it. I would wear to any formal event here in New Mexico. I recommend these. I give a 4 star because I haven't tested the protection.

Great pants, but... - Ghostrider   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great riding pants
Cons: Sizing is way oversized

Order a size smaller than your usual. Otherwise you need suspenders to prevent their falling to your ankles.Well-designed for comfortable riding. carrying wallet in front cargo pocket much comfier than sitting on it. Materials and worksmanship are excellent.Double Flaps on front pockets need velcro they keep curling up at corners. But they stay securely buttoned to keep wallet safe.

Good for the price, sizing is off. - Eric   MN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Inexpensive, good quality.
Cons: Sizing

I ordered these pants a few months ago. I typically wear a size 31-32 pant, ordered a 32 and they were MASSIVE, closer to a 34 or 35, also the legs were very very baggy, a bit more than I expected. They are fairly comfortable, not too hot, and seem pretty decent quality. I had them tailored to bring the waist in and knees in, they fit very well now. I would buy again, although I would probably order a size 30. Overall, 3.55

Sliders 4.0 Cargo Pants - GalpersKCCO   MI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Built well, Price point low, I feel safer when I ride with these compared to regular jeans, side pockets perfect for walletkeys, front pockets are deep
Cons: Inside stitching scrapes kneethigh

So far I am glad I purchased these pants. I am a sportbike rider so I don't have much extra room to transport any items. The cargo pockets work very well for cellphonewalletkeys.Up until now I just rode in my jacket and a pair of jeans Helmet too of course. But, not much for protection of the lower extremities. I feel safer riding with these on.I got the exact same size waistlength that I wear in jeans and they fit nicely. The only complaint I have is the stitching inside the legs poke through and scrapes are my knees. It's not bad enough to draw blood or anything. It just itchesannoys me a bit.Otherwise they are awesome I hope this helps.

Good Summer Pants - Greg NJ   NJ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Lighter than jeans,
Cons: Knee pads keep sliding down

I ordered length 30 and they were good, I am 5'9 and 185, 36 fit but I like loose pants.I own sliders jeans which are heavier and better for cold weather. I feel the cargos would be to heavy for working in but great for summer riding. I tried mesh riding pants but did not how they buttoned. Pants feels like they will protect better than off rack jeans.

Good pants - Cascades Rider   OR Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, Well constructed, Good Price
Cons: Sizing is a bit weird

Great Pants from my perspective. Though I had to return them for a larger size. Much of the reviews talk about them being BIG is true except for the waist. This is not a stretchy waist product. Don't order a slightly lower size since the reviews talk about them being big. Your waist is your waist and these big pants respect at least that part of your body. I also recommend that you get a pair of the Heat Out Long Johns to make the Kevlar edges a bit easier on the legs for a long ride.

Heavy-duty and comfortable fit but has some drawbacks - CorryWan Kenobi   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Heavy duty fabric, nice finish, great pockets, generous and comfortable fit
Cons: No ventilation, non adjustable cuffs, knee armor pockets sewn in backwards, longer inseam than stated

The external fabric of these pants is very heavy duty. Along with the Kevlar lined parts, the trousers 42x30 weigh in at just under 3 lbs. The combination of thick fabric and and a tight-weave means that they don't breathe very well. Some zippered vents would be nice, but for the price maybe that's asking too much. I anticipate that as the supper temperature gets hotter I anticipate either using these as over-pants and wear hiking shorts underneath, or switching back to my First Gear mesh riding pants. The Sliders fit have a generous fit around the waist and are easily cinched with a normal leather belt. They're a few inches too long for my legs. Though I can normally wear pants with a 30 inseam, these drag on the ground even while wearing my touring boots. I plan to hem them up a bit. This should work because the Kevlar ends a few inches short of the stock cuffs. I'll probably add some velcro adjustment tabs on the cuffs at the same time. I like being able to change how much wind is blowing up my legs most important with rain or cold weather. This would be a nice stock feature, but again would perhaps add too much to the cost. The only huge disappointment for me are the internal mesh pockets that are supposed to hold the optional knee armor in place. When I insert the CE knee armor it ends up sitting on the inside of my kneecaps, not over the top-center as it should be. Either my knee caps are from an alien species, or the pockets are sewn backwards. That makes the optional knee armor feature less than worthless. All in all the Sliders are great for the money. I just guess that I take for granted that we live in a ready-to-wear world...

geat pants, but sizing is off - jb   MN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great looking pants, high quality construction
Cons: itchy liner, waist sizes run bit large

I normally wear a size 36 waist, but the 36 in these ran huuuuuuuge. They were probably closer to 38, not even kidding. I exchanged them for a size 34 and they fit much better. The mesh liner with velcro pockets for armor is a great feature, however the corners on the velcro panels can get very itchy on the bare legs. The fabric is quite thick which was a nice surprise, especially for riding during the colder spring mornings.Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy again. I especially like that I can now ride my bike to customer sites and not look like a total slacker showing up jeans.

Sliders 4.0 Cargo Jeans - GLCSD   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fit is good, leg length can be tailored, cargo pockets a plus
Cons: Can be warm in California sun

I bought these to replace another pair of motorcycle cargo pants manufactured by a different company. The reason for this is the other pair of pants had such large legs that I felt I was swimming in them and off the bike they looked very bulky and awkward. These 4.0 pants are a slimmer fit which was good for me and the leg length can be specified andor altered for a better fit. I am 5'10 185 lbs with a 34-35 waist. These do run large so I ordered a 34X30 and it fits well.I also find a positive closure cargo pocket is nice for storage when compared to a back pocket on a motorcycle. These pants have positive closure on the back pockets as well so if you do put your wallet back there you don't have to worry about it slipping out while on the bike. Although as mentioned I always prefer to locate my wallet in the cargo pocket as a personal preference. The cloth is thicker which I suppose is necessary and thus in the hotter sun of California they can trap a bit of heat while at a stop light. But these work quite well for me and are offered at a great price point.

Comfortable - BlackWolf   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable pair of pants.
Cons: A little small in the waist

I have found there is some variation in the waist size. The Sliders Jeans I ordered fit perfect. The Cargo and Slacks I ordered are tight - they are all the same size supposedly. My recommendation is to order one size larger in the waist. Inseam is perfect. No need to order longer as they will be too long.

consumer - Bob   KY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Very comfortable. Lighter than most MC pants.
Cons: A little too roomy throughout. They could have less material and still be comfortable. I would like to see even lightercooler pants for hot summer riding.

Overall, I am very pleased.

Sliders Cargo - Scott   UT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, loose-fitting.
Cons: Knee armor doesn't seem to sit on the knee quite right.

These pants performed well. They were nice and loose, which I much prefer, and not terribly hot either. I did some riding in southern Texas in 90 degree heat...and I've no complaints. I typically wear a 3630 in jeans, but I ordered a 3830 in these and liked the fit. Admittedly, I like roomy pants, so a belt is definitely necessary if you choose to go that route. I'd say they're pretty darn close to being true-to-size. My only issue with the pants was getting to knee armor situated properly - I never quite managed it. Still, the armor did stay in the general area. All-in-all, great pants.

Sliders Cargo Pants 4.0 good bargain - GLCSD   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Very well priced, good fit, pockets with button closure, inseam sizes available
Cons: Can get hot in SoCal, no hip armor pockets,

These pants are a bargain for the quality and utility. I am normally a 36-35 but I ordered a 34 in these which fits perfectly, so be aware they run a size small. Although relaxed fit they are not so big that you tend to wallow around in them which can happen with some relaxed fit motorcycle pants. They look good off the bike and you can wear them without the pants shouting that you just came off a motorcycle. I much prefer the button closure on the pockets to velcro and they buttons are large enough that they can be manipulated with gloves on if you are in a hurry. When will all motorcycle pant manufacturers start providing some kind of positive closure on the pocketsI ordered the option knee armor I wish they had hip pockets as well, this is the only reason I gave them four instead of five stars and the pants have multiple location stages so that you can hopefully place the armor to fit your personal dimensions. I find this to be a never ending battle. Also the pants come with different inseam lengths which is very helpful. I am normally a size 30 inseam this is what I ordered and they are spot on for me.No real cons here except to say the cotton is quit thick and does hold some heat here in SoCal. I have no trouble recommending these, particularly at that price point.

high quality - UncleBob   CO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: high quality, lots of kevlar
Cons: a little too long

High quality but did find them a tad too long for my 28 inseam. Very comfortable with a good weightthickness for riding pants. The four is solely due to excessive length.

Nice, heavy pants. - Jeff   SC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Heavy, warm & attractive.
Cons: None.

I really like these pants - they're comfortable and quite heavy. I only give them 4 stars because I haven't tested their slide worthiness and I don't intend to. But I have worn them with and without thermals in temps under 50 F and they do a fine job blocking the wind and keeping me warm. I think the sizing is a little generous. I wear 33 w x 30 length dress pants but the 32 x 30 Sliders fit very well. I think I would have been swimming in the 34 x 30.

Comfortable - Mike   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable
Cons: Knee armor moves around

The pants themselves are great. They are very comfortable. I got mine in black and they only get hot when sitting still in the sun on a hot day. The kevlar has great protection areas. The only problem I have with these pants is the knee armor does not stay in place. It is constantly sliding to the inside of the pants leg. I don't feel as though the armor would be in place to protect me in a crash if I went down. It also makes the pants a little less comfortable when the armor is not in the right place.

Pleasantly surprised - Kevin   MT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: comfortable, fit well, convenient
Cons: knee pads are decent quality, but do not sit correctly on knees.

I just got back from a 11 day trip from NY to Bozeman MT, and these pants served me well. I had an older pair of the cargos previous model in size 36 that are just a bit too tight. I wore them for on day of 11, and the new pair of 38's for the other 10 days.I am normally 37 36 in some jeans, 38 in othersThese fit slightly large, but only so that I needed a belt. they are comfy, and covert .The knee pad pockets are a great addition to these my previous model did not have these., but although the adjustable velcro allows you to raise or lower the knee pads pretty well, they ALWAYS tend to shift to the inside of my knees against the bike. This is NOT where I want them.I am going to add some of my own velcro though, which should keep the pads on the middle or outside of my knees, and I expect this will fix the problem

Sliders - Gunracr   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, feel very protected
Cons: Had to fix the pockets myself

These are way better than wearing jeans. They're sturdy and feel like they can take a beating. Wore them for a five day trip from LA to Oakland and back and was very happy with them. Some folks mentioned that they may be too hot but I found the opposite. It seems like the extra thickness kept the heat from the sun and engine off my legs better than jeans. My only complaint is that when I got them both the cargo pockets had isues. One was missing a button and the other didn't have the button holes opened up. I asked CACC to send me a button and we'd skip the whole return shipping scene but they never replied.Knee pads were fine but the ad for sliders says there are three positions for them but there are only two.I'd buy these again.

Pros: good fit and construction,
Cons: They're cargos, what's not to like

It took a few attempts to fit the knee armor solidly in the mesh pocket. Almost lost the left pad a couple of times due to the Velcro closure coming open. Once the pads are well-oriented in the pocket, it stays closed.

Cons: no watch pocket

better design with version 4.0 - Dave W.   MI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Inclusion of mesh panels to hold knee armor
Cons: Knee armor shifts side to side a bit, pants take a long time to air dry

First off, this is my second pair of Sliders Cargo pants. The first pair I purchased 2006-2007 and this latest version 4.0 is an improvement. Lacking in my previous pants was a way to hold knee armor in place these new pants have a nylon mesh liner that runs from the waist to mid-shin. The adjustable pockets really do allow three different height positions for the optional knee armor which I purchased. However, there is some side-to-side play in these pockets and in the event you land on your knees it's hard to say that you'd actually land right on the armor.Second, based on my first pair, I would be careful not to dry them fully in a dryer. My first pair a 32 waist shrunk 1-2 inches and became tight around the waist. I normally wear a 3230 jean size and these fit me just as expected. Waist rides on my hips and is probably 32-33. After first washing and drying 20 minutes in dryer, remainder overnight the fit did not change. I ordered a 32 length and that is best for fit while riding. Previous pair was 30 length and that was too short.

Good, but with a few quirks - Dave   WI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: They look good and appear to be tough
Cons: [None]

I would give these 5 stars if not for a few minor issues. When I first got them I noticed what seems to be an extra bit of fabric under the kevlar patch right where I sit, which causes a bit of a lump. I recently put on 1100 miles in three days while wearing these and was expecting a sore butt, but was surprised that this wasn't a problem, it could be that it acted as an extra bit of cushion. On hot days these pants can get to be quite warm. But that's a good thing on cooler days. One other minor thing, the buttoned flaps that cover the main pockets would always get blown up while riding and stay up after I stopped. Not a big problem. but it looked kinda goofy with the ears sticking out like that.I wear size 34 x 34 jeans and ordered 34 x 36 Sliders, they are long when walking around but fit well when I'm on the bike.In summary Well made, good looking, heavy pants that fit well .

Good Product, However... - Gus   MN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Cargo pockets, long inseam, comfortable
Cons: Cargo fastening, belt loops, waist length

Admittedly, there are many body types so that being said I continue. I have worn these pants Black on several rides now and in 90 degree temps. Bought them as a replacement for chaps on those hot days. They are comfortable. I always wear cargo pants Wrangler Cargo when not riding due to the nature of my work. I was happy to see that Sliders offered cargoes. I am therefor drawing a comparison to Wranglers. I found the belt loops on the Sliders a little chincy side, more suited to a pair of dress pants and a little on the small side. While it is possible to force an inch and three quarter belt through the loops, its tight. Regarding the cargo pockets, buttons are used to hold the flaps down, hook and loop Velcro would have been preferred. As for the waist, I found it a little on the short side as compared to the Wranglers but again...different body types. All things considered, I will buy another pair in Tan for those 100 plus degree days.

Pros: All around great deal for Kevlar motorcycle pants
Cons: Armor slides around if used

Overall great product, especially for value. The only downfall is i still wish to ride with knee armor. The mesh, interior holders allow the armor to float around too much and I had to have more Velcro sewn in so the armor actually stays over the knee. Besides that, fits good, looks good and good value.

BIG Logo - NM Chris   NM Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great Fit and Feel
Cons: Huge Logo embroidered on cargo flap

Love the pants. I bought the tan and they have been comfortable riding in 90 deg heat. Fit is great and aligned well with regular pants sizing. Would be a 5 star rating except for the large embroidered SLIDERS Logo on both cargo pocket flaps. This was not clear in the photos of the Tan pants and I am not a big fan of wearing brand names around.

Sliders 4.0 Cargo pant - Norm   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good quality and price
Cons: Waist size is smaller than expected

I bought the Slider 4.0 Cargo pants tan on the recommendation of a friend. The pants arrived quickly and were in good order. The pants appear to be good quality materials and well assembled. They are made a bit longer than a usual pant, by about an inch, to compensate for the riding position. If you intend to wear them away from the bike you may need to roll up the cuff. This is not a fault, just a result of being designed for riding. My dimensions are 34 waist x 32 leg, and this works for most other pants including casual and dress pants, but the Sliders were definitely tight in the waist. They have loosened a bit with wear, but I have not washed them yet, so I am apprehensive about shrinkage. Consider going up a waist size when ordering. The pants are warm. The cargo pocket buttons are not easy to open, but that is probably a good thing.

Sliders Cargo - MikeH   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, convenient protection
Cons: Hit and miss on the size,

I purchased these pants as an alternative to my regular riding pants. Ordered my regular sized, 34-32, and had to return them for a 36-32 which was a little large, but a more comfortable fit while riding. Quality looks to be good and the casual look and design passes for non-motorcycle apparel. I order the khaki which is more of a brown but that's OK. Button pockets are great for cell phone and wallet storage. The material is soft, and thick. I took these with me on a Memorial Day weekend trip to Northern Georgia and found that on a near 90 degree day, they were warm. The material is thick and does not breath well. Not unbearable warm but my vented riding pants would have been a bit more comfortable. Given the nature of the material and the fact that it has to be abrasive resistant it's to be expected that the base material would be thicker. Most days they are just fine. I can't speak to cooler temps, but because of the relaxed fit I imagine that layering under them, If you chose to do that, would be easy and still comfortable. I also bought the knee armor. It took a couple of tries to get the location just right for riding and walking around. The pads seem to maintain their position well. For the money, I think they are a good addition to the closet full of riding apparel we all seem to accumulate over time.

Pros: Fit and materials is excellent, as advertised.
Cons: No sleeves to insert knee pads.

I ordered tan & like the darker color. Everything is as advertised, except I could not find any pockets to place knee pads for knee protection. These are very comfortable and I will wear them a lot. The cargo pockets could be upgraded with Velcro closures hint, hint but the plastic buttons are adequate.

Riding gear for bigger guys - RedB   GA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Casual styling. Comfortable. Protection I hope
Cons: Hot. Waist runs small. Length runs long. Not perma-press.

As a full-figured rider, I've had a hard time finding affordable gear in my size range. With waist sizes topping out at 44, these Sliders just made the cut Be even better if they went to 46 or even 48, I know lots of guys who'd be interested. While most of my 44-30 regular pants fit me pretty well, I found the sliders to be a really tight fit at the waist, while running 2 inches too long in the leg. Hemming the leg is no problem, but a little wiggle room in the waist would be helpful. These are very warm, and in the early spring, cool temperatures made them very cozy. As it has heated up though, they have lost a bit of their appeal. I guess it's about time to switch to my mesh gear for the summer. I'll still be glad to wear the sliders any time the temps are below 85 degrees, or as long as I'll be moving for most of the time. I found the knee armor to be easier than most to position correctly, and as these are fairly baggy in the legs, most people don't even know it's there. If these weren't so long, and if they had those elastic expansion joints at the waist to help customize the fit, I'd have given them a '5'. Still, for the price, I think they are a real bargain and I've recommended them to everyone I ride with.

Great riding pants - Sliders 4.0 Cargo Motorcycle Riding Pants   AL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Look great. Pockets very functional. Lighter weight than Slider Jeans.
Cons: Were a bit smaller than expected compared to Slider Jeans but not small for the size.

Bought these for summer riding. Like the idea of protection but wanted something cooler than my slider jeans. Rode in 90 degree temps and was still comfortable at speed and off the bike. Had bought 44s in the Cargo because the 46s I have in the Slider Jeans are falling off on me. A bit snug but only for a bit after washing and then wearing. Would recommend and buy again.

Sliders 4.0 cargo motorcycle pants - Matteson Rider   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Thick pants that seem like they would prevent skin loss if the rider should slide.
Cons: Knee protectors don't seem like they will stay in place after contact with the ground.

These pants have a baggy fit. The fit is one size larger than what I would normally wear. In order for them to fit like my regular sized cargo pants, which is a 3830, I had to purchase the 3628. The length is longer to prevent pants from raising above bootshoe after sitting on bike, which would explain why I went with the 28 in length instead of the 30. The 36 is baggy, so it's actually a 38. The 28 is longer, so it's actually a 30 in length. The optional knee protectors seem like they would protect the knees, but they don't seem to be 100 effective. I have to keep positioning them over the knees in order to keep them there. This makes me feel like they wouldn't stay in place after the first contact with the ground, and this is also the reason why I gave them four stars instead of five. These pants are thick and heavy. So far I've worn them in temps from the 30's - 50's and I have no complaints. These pants are for you if you're looking for more slide protection than body armor, or if you're looking for a decent pair of motorcycle pants that you don't have to change into, or out of, when you've reached your destination.

I like them - John in Texas   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, cool enough, lots of deep pockets
Cons: baggy legs and cuff catches on pegs

I like these and will buy more, but I will probably alter them a little. I want a velcro tab to pull the leg tight on the bottom. 34 waists are true to size not larger as most reviews say, and legs are at least one size larger. This makes for comfortable riding, but kind of baggy when off the bike. Because the two layers of fabric-Kevlar plus the thin liner is heavier than typical tactical pants, the extra bulk hangs and flops around excessively when walking. These have polyester mesh lining on the upper legs, which feels comfortable and I usually detest polyester against my skin. The interior mesh has pockets for knee pads, but I have not found appropriate pads or armor that fit, and the legs are baggy enough this seems like a fool's errand. These are apparently made at the same place as AGV cargo pants tags and their locations are identical, but the fabric is a bit heavier and softer than AGVs I purchased from CompAcc. Front pockets are deeper than on the AGVs and stuff stays put.

This is my second pair of Sliders pants. The pants fit well and are very durable. Sliders Cargo Pants - johniac7078   MA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Super Comfort, well made
Cons: Legs are very baggy

These pants are super comfortable. I really like them to ride around the city without looking like a power ranger in my regular riding pants. They are heavy duty and very well made. My only con is how they are cut. The waste is true to size but runs on the larger end. The legs are very baggy. While this makes them really comfortable, they could be sized a bit better.

Great so far - Mr. Palomar   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well designed, material is super-nice
Cons: nothing major

I've had these only a short time - some days of hard wear moving to a new apartment in addition to riding. I really like the material. It's got a softer hand than thick denim or canvas. Really well designed all around. Inner knee pad bags have velcro on the pants side, not the skin side cargo pocket placement is high enough and they stay flat, 2 belt loops at the back instead of one in the middle. Designed to be durable. Couple of notes quality control isn't perfect - one of the velcro strips came off the knee pad pocket because the sewing missed catching its edge also a few loose threads. Not enough to return them or anything. Also, it would be great if they had a crotch gusset, which reduces stretchstress on the seam area when you're sitting on the bike. I put in the knee pads from my aerostitch pants, which are real snug in the new pants. When I'm on the moto, the knee pads make it so the front edge of the cuff stands off from the front. This results in air going up the pants, so maybe get a longer size unless you wear full height boots all the time. Overall great.

Great Kevlar Cargo Pants - Mike   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, durable & good looking, kevlar protection
Cons: No hip pads or options to add them.

I bought a pair of these over the summer and have them for approx 6 months. Fit true to my size and have held up for thousands of miles of riding. I often wear these pants in the summer as they are a little cooler than my Olympia mesh overpants. Great value. It is a shame they don't have hip padding or an option to add some

Almost perfect - Dave Sumner   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great looking, comfortable, same kevlar protection as my biking jeans
Cons: Awful pocket flap, two layer button hiding arrangement

The only fly in the ointment with the Sliders 4.0 is the double layer cargo pocket flap. It not only makes the buttons hard to access and use, but the top layer blows up in the wind on the bike so the it always wrinkles and scrunches up and looks bad as well. I plan to sew the two layers of the flap together and secure the flap with three squares of velcro. I would still recommend them, just by some velcro patches and some thread along with them.

I have slider jeans from before and the sizing was larger than listed, but when these pants arrived the stated waist was smaller, nothing a waist expander couldn't fix otherwise they fit and look good, I wear knox armor shorts and knee armor underneath for the best protection without looking like I am doing the Isles of Mann time trials.

Kevar Slider cargo - Snax   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good protection, comfortable fit, good value
Cons: Kevlar directly against skin, baggy cut

Material defective - RYder   CA Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: [None]
Cons: Fabric shrinks excessively

I've worn a 30' inseam all my adult life . . pants of all sorts of designs and fabrics. The fit advice suggested the waist runs a bit large, but no mention of length. Ordered my standard 30' length. Out of the box, they were fine. However after 1st wash they shrunk 2 full inches. The 2nd and 3rd washes shrunk them another full inch. My 30 inch length pant is now a 27 inch length. They were unusable. Returned as defective. Claim was denied. In the mean time, ordered a 32 inch length. These shrunk 3 inches too, but 29 inch length is adequate.

Sliders Kevlar Cargo Pants - M. Ross   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good alternative to Sliders kevlar denim pants lighter weight
Cons: Velcro at knees for armor is uncomfortable

As a satisfied Sliders kevlar denim pant user I was looking for a good non-denim alternative. These pants provide similar protection as the denim. Since I choose not to wear armor protection at the knees, the sewn in velcro at the knee that would secure the armor is stiff and uncomfortable. A fabric pouch instead of permanent velcro to secure the armor might improve this situation.

Pros: comfort, fit, appearance, features
Cons: knee armor

I got these for Christmas and got to wear them on a ride today. They are very comfortable both on and off the bike. They don't look like motorcycle pants with kevlar either. There's more Kevlar in these than in my wife's pants from another well known maker. They are relaxed fit but seem to have a short rise from the crotch to the waist though. Not enough to concern me or make them uncomfortable. There'd no way these are a 30 inseam like they say though. I've been wearing 36x30 relaxed fit jeans for a number of years and these drag the ground unlike jeans of the same sized. I'd recommend a sturdy belt for these. They are not hot and are very comfortable. My only con is the knee armor and the pockets for it. The mesh for the armor feels scratchy against my legs at first. The armor also seems to rotate the inside of my knees while riding too.All in all, you will not be disappointed if you buy these though They're money well spent

Part 2 - LKLD   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: [None]
Cons: [None]

Darn cell phones I didn't get to finish my reviewSo, my con was the cargo pockets, specifically the closures. They use buttons, which are effective, but not practical when wearing gloves and trying fiddle with them. Hook & loop or sprung snaps would have been a better option in my opinion, as these would make the gloves a non-issue. Maybe the 5.0 version will have these. The 4 star rating is because of the pocket closures, otherwise it would get a 5Overall I really like these pants, so much so, that I will order a couple more this week

Almost there - lkld   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: comfort, sizing, perceived strength
Cons: pocket closure on cargo pockets

I bought these for commuting around town and work. I'll be getting touring pants soon for distance riding. I found these pants to be very comfortable and soft right out of the box. The sizing, for me, was spot on I wear 32x30 jeans, and ordered the same size in these. They fit perfect in both waist and length. Ordering pants seems to be the most daunting purchase, other than a helmet, when it comes to sizing. What a pleasant surprise to have them fitThe construction appears to be sturdy and well stitched. The Kevlar panels are as described. I've had them for only a couple of weeks, so will have to wait and see how they hold up with washings.

Sliders 4.0 Cargo MC pants - FT   NE Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: Seem to be heavy duty
Cons: wonky knee armor pockets

I don't like these pants. The knee armor pockets are in the wrong place and the CE knee armor that are recommended don't fit right. It seems like the knee armor pockets are sewn in the wrong place too high up on the leg and too much on the inside so the knees rub against the tank and the armor is in the wrong position to protect the knee in the event of a fall. Very disappointing.

Hot - MaconTrax   GA Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: Good look, baggy for easy onoff
Cons: Very hot in summer, size runs big

These ran large so I wear a pair of shorts under them. They are extremely hot in southern summers. They don't breathe. If you're in a cooler climate they'd probably do very well, but in SE US in the summer, I can't wear them.

OK, not great - Scooterquest   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well made, fits well at the waist. Good for casual wear at the end of a ride.
Cons: Short- shrank noticably during first wash. Very loose fit through seat and legs. Knee protection not included. Cargo pocket flaps flip up while riding, and stay that way after dismount. Heavy, yet not suited for cold weather.

I bought these for a casual alternative to riding pants, and they do fill that bill. Very heavy, yet loose fitting legs allow plenty of air flow. In fact, after the first wash, they ride up above my boots and are really breezy. Single layer of fabric from knee down, balloons up if you ride feet first. Recommend ordering next size smaller waist and next size longer length. Logo on the cargo pocket flaps is not an issue for me as it is subtle, especially since flaps pop up like steering flaps on a snow speeder while riding, and stay that way until you push them back down once you get where you are going. Kevlar layers are reassuring in the seat and knees, but, other than the waist, the pants fit so loose I don't trust them to stay where you need them in an unplanned dismount. Knee pads 12 extra, shouldn't be are adjustable in their pockets, sit OK while riding, but hit just below the knee cap while walking. Minor annoyance, and I wouldn't mind too much, if I trusted them to stay in place when I needed them. Which, by the way, I don't. Overall, these will be for short rides and commuting back and forth to work while its warm. Definitely back to overpants for long hauls and cooler weather.

Bag City - VStrom Trooper   Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: Can order by size.
Cons: BAGGY Needs to be slimmer trimmer fit for all sizes.

Could be nicest looking if they weren't so BAGGY Apparently they haven't noticed that styles have changed. Good protection, good price on nice looking pants if you can get past the baggy style.

Good, but... - drol343   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Style, Pockets, Kevlar
Cons: Armor can't be placed to stay at knee

Compared to the price and style of other MC pants these are a pretty good deal. For me... I can't get the optional Knee Armor CA sold me to stay in a spot where it fits and stays at my knees... that is a significant issue and why 2 Stars were taken away. I will have to purchase separate Knee Armor that can be strapped to my knees... there sb space enough in the roomy pant legs for the armor.

Sliders Cargo Pants - Sliders Cargo Pants   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Seem pretty sturdy and protective.
Cons: Sizing Not really Relaxed Fit, Inseams way too long

The Sliders Cargo Pants seem to be sturdy enough. But, the sizing is off. I usually wear a 36 waist and ordered a 38 waist. The waist is barely big enough, but you can tell by the way the seat and legs fit, that these are not relaxed fit. I wouldn't even call them full fit. Plus the inseams are way longer than the stated size. Just something to keep in mind when ordering. I would definitely NOT order a size smaller, as Competition Accessories recommended. They are OK for the money you pay.

Too Hot - gcookie   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Cargo Pants fits my smart phone
Cons: Too Hot, Poor Pad Supports

This pants would be good for spring and winter riding. In Texas they are way to hot for summer The armor pads take a lot of adjusting to get in right place. Base on the construction of the nylon supports for the pads, I seriously doubt that the pads will stay in place in a fall. You would be better off with large foam pads in front of the knees... Recommend only for riding in the 75 degree and below weather.

cargo 4.0 - leedna   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: good quality - good lenth and fell around legs and thighs
Cons: waist size wrong - advice terrible

really nice pants - can't wait to wear them - as I do not have them yet. Based on the advice of the Comp Acc video guy - I got size 34 waist - my normal size.. He clearly says they come larger than advertised. I went with my normal 34 waist - could not button my pants. After spending MY 20 to return and exchange - I am still waiting for the right size. It has been two weeks so far. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE VIDEO GUY ON SIZES. It will cost YOU.

Sliders Cargo Pants - Kevin   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Seem Well Made
Cons: Shrunk Too Small On First Wash

These fit great out of the package...first washing the waist shrunk 3.

Good pants-Bad sizing - McGee   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Nice looking appears to be good quality
Cons: Inconsistent sizing

Upon ordering this pant, I took the advice of both the customer service associate on the phone, as well as the product description and ordered a size down. Turned out to be as small as if I had bought a size down in my regular jeans. I'm 5'10-190lbs and routinely wear a 3632 jeans. Ordered a 3432 sliders cargo pant length was fine, but waist was uncomfortably small. Returned for exchangerefund the next day. Competition accessories has a great and painless return policy, but I'm about ready to give up on mail ordering pants with known sizing issues. This will now be my third attempt to achieve a brandmodel, color, & size combination that will work for me.

2nd Review - LKLD   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: comfort, weight of material, kevlar
Cons: sizing, buttons

Well, after buying a pair of 32x30 olive pants, and being so pleased with them see previous review I ordered 2 more in khaki color.I ordered them the same size as my olive pair. However, they were much larger...much larger So large in fact, that I can use them as overpants, even though the size tag indicates 32x30 as my olive ones. I opened the package on one, but not the other, so that one will be going back. Also, the button on my olive pair, at the zipper, has already come off...after one washing on delicate cycle. Obviously, they still have some issues to work out with their manufacturer, and size variants being one that needs priority. I really want to be able to love these pants, but can't as of this writing. I hope that they make the necessary changes soon enough to remain relevant.

Not all that safe - Montana Dave   MT Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: Nice looking, seemed to be well made, fit is correct size
Cons: bell bottom legs

If you're buying these pants as a minimal protection against road rash in a fall, don't. The leg bottoms are so big that they'll ride right up your leg. There is no way to secure the pants at the ankle to keep them from riding up. I tried both cargo and the straight leg pants and both had the same problem. If that concerns you, buy Draggin Jeans. They come with a Velcro closure at the ankle. They are maybe better than wearing jeans...but even jeans come with a little taper at the ankle.
