Information and Details about the Sliders Cold Pro Waterproof Insulated Gloves
made by Sliders
Sliders Cold Pro Gloves are a fantastic value for a fully featured winter glove. The Cold Pro Motorcycle gloves are constructed with a combination of textile, cowhide, and goat skin suede, with genuine aramid reinforcement in the palm. 3M Thinsulate is used to keep your hands warm, and a Hipora waterproof liner keeps you dry. The Sliders Cold Pro Waterproof Gloves also feature a molded knuckle protector, with smaller knuckle guards on the fingers as well. For night time visibility, Sliders has incorporated a large reflective panel into the back of the gloves. If you are in need of some great cold and wet weather gloves that won't break the bank, the Sliders Cold Pro Armored gloves are a great option!

Sliders Cold Pro Armored Gloves:
  • Made with Premium Cow Leather, with reinforced goat suede leather and Genuine DupontTM KEVLAR® aramid panels and leather reinforcement in palm
  • Back of glove features goat skin leather with leather reinforcements on knuckle and fingers
  • Armor molded on knuckles for superior protection
  • Reflective panel on back of palm
  • Adjustable wrist cinching
  • Interior lining made of 100% Polyester weaved fabric

Great Bargain and looks - Tiger Al   IA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Comfortable shape and fit
Cons: order one size up from normal

Like several other people mentioned they are too snug if you get the size you would normally get. Have not had a chance to try in the wet or cold yet but they should be a lot warmer with out too much bulk. The hivis yellow really stands out.

Excellent - Photon   NM Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: You feel protected and is very cool in warm and hot weather.excellent fit
    Cons: [None]

Very good all around weather glove, would recommend them for purchase

Sliders ColdPro Gloves - SteveL   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Warm, fits nice, rugged
Cons: Sizing runs a little small, order one size larger than normal

My older cold-weather gloves developed a rip in them, so it was time for a new pair. CompAcc had these Sliders Cold Pro gloves on sale, and I decided to take a chance on them, figuring that I could return them if they weren't what I wanted. I read from other reviews that the sizing ran a little small so I ordered the 2XL instead of an XL like usual. When these arrived, I put them to a test riding in 43 degree F about 6 deg C weather on a dry day, with the heated grips turned off. At 70-75 mph, my fingers stayed warm and comfortable. They would probably be too warm if the temp was above 65 deg or so. The gloves look good and have a little reflective material in them. They appear rugged so I think protection would be good. Can't say what they would do in rain, but the gloves appear to be waterproof as stated. Overall, I'm very happy with these gloves

insulated gloves - mike   CT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: fit well
    Cons: [None]

These gloves are comfortable and fit well. I cannot speak for wrath factor as winter is still here

Gloves - bugs   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great fit and keep you warm
Cons: A little bulky but ok

These gloves are wonderful for cold rides, have not had them wet yet and don't plan on that but if I get caught out in the rain I should be covered. I got a 2XL so I could put s glove liner inside the gloves and they work just fine. I was out in S. Texas at 30S all morning and was not one bit cold so that says something. The fit great but with fine motor controls they could cause some problems. I had no problems on the Goldwing with them .

Excellent Glove - Jeff M   CO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Warm
    Cons: Feels small

This is an excellent glove. It feels a bit small when I first started using it, but the next size up would have been too big. I think it's just the insulation that provides the shortness feeling in the fingers. I still can maneuver my hands freely while riding and handle the levers.

Nice gloves - Rick B   OR Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Warm and waterproof
    Cons: none

The gloves are of good quality. Having read previous reviews, I ordered one size larger than I usually wear and they fit perfect. For the money, they are a quality item.

Great fit, Warm - K75S   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Warm and comfortable
Cons: They do run one size small

Used these gloves in below freezing weather - no warmers or shield lots of wind chill and they were still warm. Really wind proof

nice gloves - pigshitski   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: warm, suede strip on thumb for wiping shield, comfortable
    Cons: none

I haven't ridden in the rain yet so I can't testify as to the waterproof claim. they are wind proof and warm in high 40's weather. like they said they run small I usually wear an XL I ordered the 2X and they fit me really well and the price was nice

Great for Cold Weather - GLCSD   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Light weight for such good insulation
    Cons: Run a little small

I ordered these for winter time riding. It doesn't get too cold in SoCal but we can have rider days with temperatures in the high 50's to low 60's when a regular glove is just that much too cold. So seeing these at such a bargain price on CompAcc looked like an opportunity to take care of my needs on those types of day. They work surprisingly well for being as light and non-bulky as they are. The styling is good as well and the interior stitching is such that there is no contact between your fingers and any uncomfortable stitches. They kept my hands warm in the low 50's. I can think of no negatives considering the price point except to say that I believe they might run just a bit small. I normally wear a large, and the large that I ordered is pretty snug, particularly in the finger area. Now this is before they've really worn in so it is hard to say if they will open up a little with use or not. I also can't comment on how an XL might have fitted. Suffice it to say the snugness is definitely not worth returning the glove for, they are working well enough.I would recommend these, a true bargain.

Great glovesprice - Doug   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: comfort,warmth,color options, funcionality, PRICE
    Cons: None

There is nothing I don't like about these gloves, I always upsize ordering gloves. Mine fit perfect.I have only worn them in 40 to 65 weather as I'm in Florida on cool mornings. They are too warm over 65 and I switch to my summer gloves. Love them. I have paid 3x this for gloves that did nothing better than these do.

Good for cold weather SoCal - GLCSD   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warm without the bulk, nice looking
Cons: Can become too warm if the weather gets too hot during the day

Believe it or not there can be coldcool days in SoCal I was looking for a pair of gloves that would work on those days in the 50's - low 60's we can experience in California winter. These were on sale at Comp Acc and in the correct color. I purchased a large which is what I usually wear and they fit quite well, they do keep my hands warm on those winter days and I am glad to have selected them, particularly at the price point. My only warning would be that they work so well........if the sun comes out and the temp climbs to upper 60's or low 70's they are almost too warm, so if you can and live with that variability in temperatures you might consider carrying two pairs of gloves. This is not a knock on the gloves, they are doing what they are supposed to do

Way off - Yourna Mehere   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Really Nice Looking Gloves. Appear of excelent quality
Cons: Way too small no matter what you see listed

I wear a medium but wanted these to have some finger movement so I ordered large. Not even close. They cut the circulation off in my fingers they are so tight and this company makes you pay the shipping back to get it right. I will never buy from them again. There are a lot of companies that stand behind their product. This is not one of them. I have bought a lot of products from them in the past but this is the first time I had to deal with a return. Not good.

Love 'em - West   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Very warm, good fit
Cons: Plastic armor pieces could be a bit thicker

I really like these. The have just enough insulation but not so much that you can't bend your fingers. I have big hands, and the 3xl's are still a little bit short in the index-middle finger valley, but these fit better than anything I've had in years. haven't had the resources to get some'o those 150 gloves. Great thickness at the fingertip, where a lot of gloves that I can afford fall short.Hint - the pocket in the back under the knuckle guard is a great place to tuck your a chemical hand warmer packet for those really cold runs.I do about 7000 miles a year, all local, mostly in cold weather.

Nice colder weather glove - A Curley   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well made, warm, includes protection
Cons: No strap to tighten down

Wanted a motorcycle-specific winter riding glove. I have a pair of Sliders riding pants and have been pleased with the quality of them. The construction quality of these gloves is very good. Not too bulky with the insulation. Size was as expected. Not sure I can wear them with my thin liners but maybe. I like the leather around the hand. They don't bunch up when gripping the bike like some gloves do. I've just been able to ride a few times when it has been cold so not a lot of experience. But, I did a commute at 38 degrees and a couple of hours in the mid-40's. I have heated grips but no hand guards. Hands stayed nice and warm but my finger tips did get a bit cold. However, I feel that I have hands that are more sensitive to the cold than others. Overall, I would feel these gloves would compare well to others that cost quite a bit more. Shipping was very fast as well.

Sliders Cold WP Insul Gloves - freddt   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: [None]
    Cons: [None]

The order arrived in timely order. Finally had chance to wear the gloves on a recent cool day ride. I'm satisfied with the fit and regarding the warmth - it functiioned as well as my previous gloves. I really like the fluorescent green for additional visibility. These are my first impressions, so far so good.

Great gloves - KJ   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Comfortable and warm
    Cons: [None]

No frozen finger tips with these.Very supple and warm and the cuff is big enough to fit over my jacket sleeve

Great unheated winter gloves - Ben P   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warmer than more expensive gloves, protection, very inexpensive
Cons: Bulky but less so than other winter gloves

I used to ride a HD Super Glide with no electric gear and just a compact windshield in NJ. I would commute about 50 mins in temps as cold as 28F. Fingertips would get cold but not numb at the 35 minute mark but not any worse than that. Now with a BMW K1600 GTL, heated grips make things bearable. But my gloves are 3.5 years old and they seem to have lost some insulating properties as my hands get colder. Inside lining never pulled out. I now have Gerbings but I only use that as a last resort since they have less protective properties, are even bulkier and provide less feel at the controls. I highly recommend the Sliders gloves.

Very nice - Glen   KY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Good fit, well made
    Cons: None so far

I ordered a different glove. The called me at 5 PM and told me that they were out of the one I ordered. I got these instead. Looks like a very well made glove, fit is good, looks good, and is very comfortable. I wear a size large and that is what I ordered, it fit like a glove. Measure twice, order once. They called me at 5 PM and I got the whole order the next day. Very fast free shipping, very good support people. Will order from them again.

Nice Glove - Lars   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Looks, Effectiveness, Sturdy
    Cons: Fits Large

Love the gloves. I ordered a size larger than normal, based on some reviews here, and found the fingers were too long. So I re-ordered a pair in my usual size and they were perfect. I've also ridden with them about 125 miles in temps in the low 50's at highway speeds, and they did the job well of keeping my hands and fingers warm. Very good wind protection. Highest recommendation.

good glove - makinlifehappen   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: look, fit, price
Cons: not warm under 40 degrees

This really is a great glove. I wear a large, ordered a large, and it was a little snug at first but the more I wear them the better they feel. They do not stick to you and pull the insulation out when you remove them which is a nice feature. They are no longer warm unter about 40degrees though. I guess for long riding in really cold weather I need to save for heated gloves. They are very waterproof. I have testedthat several times.

slider gloves - darrell6481   AL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: good dexterity, great fit, just plan look great
    Cons: none so far

Bought these for cold weather motorcycle riding, at 37 degrees I rode for 10 miles at 70mph before my fingers got cold, still they are much warmer than the leather gloves I've been using. I feel it was money well spent

First cold weather gloves - LJV73   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Seem well contructed warm pretty good fit & good value
Cons: A little bulky but to be expected for a cold weather glove.

These are my first purchase of cold weather gloves so I don't have a vast history of experience with this type of glove. Prior to purchasing these I've used ski gloves for cold weather riding. I've gone on a few rides of temps in the lower 40's to low 50's and found the Sliders Cold Pros to supply adequate protection from the cold however when riding with temps in the low 40's for extended periods 30 minutes I began to feel the cold. My bike does not have hand guards, heated grips, or faring protection. I do not as yet have experience with wet weather so I cannot comment on their waterproof qualities. I chose the hi-vis and am pleased with the appearance and construction. The fit chart recommended X-Large based on the girth of my handpalm and pretty much worked although the length of the fingers are a tad long. All and all I'd recommend these gloves especially if you happen to find them on sale as I did ...a good value.

Sliders Cold Pro Gloves - mred   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warm, dry and good fit
    Cons: none yet

prompt delivery as usual. I commute daily in the Northwest and so far have seen 15 degree temps, and plenty of rain. These gloves have proven to be what they claim and, the hi-viz is a nice add. IMHO well worth the money

Highly recommended - T Norseman   MI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Actually waterproof. Actually warm. Actually well made in every way - even the quality of the leather
    Cons: Not one.

I have been buying all kinds of gear for my new bike and this has been by far THE best purchase I've made. These gloves are better than every single pair I tried on at both a BMW dealer and a Harley Davidson dealer. We're talking 300.-400.00 gloves. Same quality, same warmthdrynessprotection. Don't wait. As soon as they arrived I ordered a second pair of high-viz for the rain and muck. Couldn't be happier. Just get 'em you won't be sorry.

works - bsajoe   GA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: comfort
    Cons: none

Wore the other day at 38 degrees, could fell a little cool but not cold. Did not were glove liners and the ride was over 40 miles. These are a bit on the small side so order one size larger. Not over balky, can fell the controls. Not overly pleased with the looks of the knuckle protectors, but i bought them for warmth not looks and they have worked for me.

Nice gloves - ADVBKE   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Quality, appearance, and value.
Cons: None that I can find.

Has not been cold yet so can't comment on warmth. They are big gloves and feel like they should be plenty warm. I normally wear a large in work gloves but went with XL on some other Aeromoto summer gloves I bought from Comp Acc that fit perfect. These I ordered XL also and they are just a little long in some of the fingers but feel perfect otherwise but I do feel like they will be warmer being a little long to allow blood flow to tips and may be designed this way. The cuff is long, goes 4 inches up arm past wrist. Would buy again, cool looking gloves for winter gloves.

Very Pleased - Mat P.   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Price is great and quality is top notch
Cons: I have no 'cons'.....maybe just slow delivery which is not the gloves fault.

I was hoping for 'good' and got 'great'They are very well made of top quality materials. They fit great but I ordered the XL since they were on the line between L and XL and I feared gloves too tight thus fingers too cold.XL was the right choice.I highly recommend these before the price goes back up.MP

Good to Go - Marty B   CO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: great protection & very warm
    Cons: a bit tight

fabulous glove for cold not freezing weather. Well made. I wear a large and this large is a tad tight, but I'll keep it. It breaks in well. Great protection in the form of leather and Kevlar. No regrets.

Great value - MHunter   MI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: quality, comfort, price
    Cons: sizing

Very comfortable glove, nice protection, nice quality, great price Take heed of sizing up one larger size. I wear L, but ordered the XL, fit perfectly. Haven't had them on a ride, but out of the package they fit well, nice flexibility, good feel on the hand controls. And they warmed up my hands in a cold garage CompAcc's Sliders, Aeromoto, & Shadow brands always are a great value, especially at sale prices.

Came home with white fingers once too often. Bought these and while I wouldn't say my hands are toasty they keep me a lot warmer than the other gloves I have. Like the hiviz hiviz is the new black Better than the alpinestars I have. Don't know about the waterproofing yet but so far so good. tested in 40 degrees f on a bandit s.

Buy these - Brad   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warm, good materials, well priced
    Cons: None

Love these. I commute to work on a FZ1 almost every day, no rain riding for me. I leave at 0430 in the morning so even in California it's pretty chilly. Down to 30 degrees. These gloves are good to about 35ish for 45 minutes. Any colder than that I need my heated glove liners. They cannot be beat for the price.

Waterproof - Tom   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: water proof
Cons: I have to get used to the feel of the hard knuckle protectors

Absolutely waterproof I did a four minute bucket test on both left and right the way they do on and they passed . The waterproof barrier is inside the glove so the water is absorbed by the leather and so they get heavy. I'm going to treat them with some Nikwax Glove Proof as per my heated gloves instructions. I have Gerbings heated gear and their gloves are also waterproof but they tell you to do the Nikwax Glove Proof treatment to avoid the soaking. The textile part of the gloves did not seem to absorb any water so with the Nikwax Glove Proof these will work well. Another reason for the treatment is that when the gloves soaked up the cold New Jersey winter water my hands felt the cold. I bought these for the in between weather when I don't need the heated gear and also as a back-up in case of a dreaded failure on a cold day of my heated gear.

Excellent Cold Weather Gloves - Mike   AZ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Work great in cold weather above 40
Cons: Little bulky when you first use.

Use these daily for a 30 minute drive to work. Kept my hands warm in the 50's, little chill in the 40's and fingertips for cold in the mid 30's after about 20 minutes. On the upper end, hands got sweaty one you hit the mid 60's.

Happy - bb05   GA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Stops the wind
    Cons: none

First i would to acknowledge the great service. When I ordered the gloves I did not enter my credit card info properly. An employee phoned me and we fixed the problem but I nneede the gloves right away for a 2000 mile trip. They arrived at my door in time. Great service The gloves are warm and do not let any wind in even at 90MPH. They are bulky as are most winter gloves. I am sure I could get better gloves for alot more money but I lke to replace my winter gloves each year because they get funkymy hands are either cold or sweaty. These fit the bill perfectly. Get a size larger for a better fit.

All Hands On Deck - SSMotorcycle   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warm, Comfortable, Well Constructed, Price, Kevlar protection
    Cons: None

We all know that trying to keep the hands warm is one of the most difficult things to do for us year around riders....and no glove without either electric or shielded assistance keeps them warm in temps around 30F, but these actually do a pretty darn good job. Very impressed with the kevlar cold pro glove, the construction, the durability, and so far it's ability to keep my hand warmish in some quite cold temps.

Pros: Warm and comfortable with Kevlar
    Cons: None

Got these as a gift this Christmas and am impressed with the quality and the warmth of these gloves. Wore them today with temps in the low 50's and had to take them off and wear my summer gloves for a while. Being that I ride year round in temps as low as 30 I believe these are going to become my favorite cold weather glove.

Great Gloves - Larry   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Warm, kevlar
    Cons: Bulky

Need to replace an older pair of winter gloves and after reading the reviews of others and taking their advise on sizing ordered a pair and have had the opportunity to ride with them down to 25 degrees, and they worked great. I ride year round so I am looking forward to wearing them this winter.

Nice gloves, great price - Vito   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Reasonable price well armored, keeps my hands warm in cold riding weather
    Cons: None so far

As a former smoker I have trouble keeping my hands warm on cold days. While I have yet to find gloves that are able to keep my hands totally warm and yet still be functional on a motorcycle, these do an excellent job. They kept my hands warm for a one hour ride when temps were about 40 degrees, something my other winter gloves cannot do. They ware well made and offer excellent fall protection, and being waterproof should work well on a cold wet day. I only had the chance to wear them twice before putting my bike away for the season but I am very pleased with this product.

Great glovesGreat Price - Captain Jack   TN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warm and Dry plus hard knuckles
Cons: Sizing- get a size up from your normal

I have a pair of heated Gerbings that I paid 160.00 bucks for- great , but not water proof. I still wear the Gerbings when the temp is below 40 F or so for longer than an hour, but these Sliders are my go to cold weather and rain gloves now. Warm and dry and tough- for under 50 bucks. I am pleased. I usually wear a large and had to return these for XL, but glad I did. Great value and great product.

Pros: EXCELLENT value, Warm, Nice Fit, Well Made
    Cons: [None]

To be honest, I wasn't expecting the glove to perform, or look, as good as it actually does. For the price, you simply can't beat all that this glove has to offer. I listened to the other reviewers and ordered 1 size up. I'm a medium in nearly all gloves, and went with a size large here. Glad I did as the fit is perfect. Gloves kept my hands warm while commuting in 35 degree temps, although finger tips were a bit chilly. When riding in temps in the upper 30s - 40s, my handsfingers were toasty. 50 degrees and they started to sweat If you're looking for a riding glove for temps in the 60s or above, look elsewhere as these are too hot.For the , you can't beat this glove. It's much better looking in person than what you see in the pics too.

Good Value - Lone Rider   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Warm, good value
    Cons: Runs small

I normally wear an XL but ordered a 2XL. They were too tight. I exchanged them with a 3XL which fits comfortably. The gloves fit over my jacket cuff and have good closures. After seeing how poorly my Held summer gloves are wearing, I decided to try a value glove for winter use since I don't plan to ride too much on cold days. They are well made for the money. I'm pleased with these gloves and with the great service provided by Competition Accessories.

Cold Pro gloves - Todd- PA   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Very warm, not bulky
Cons: little stiff and sizes do run a little small

I ride all winter and was looking for something less bulky than snowmobile type gloves. These fit the bill. I rode about 25 miles of freeway at 30 degrees and my hands were very warm. No wind came through. I am in between an XL and 2XL- ordered the 2XL based on other reviews and they are slightly snug- good fit. Have not ridden in rain yet. Protection seems good and the gauntlets fit over a Firstgear Jaunt jacket. They are a little stiff- sure they will loosen up with ride time. I highly recommend these gloves for the nice fit and warmth- only time will tell about durability.

Pros: Warmer than my Tourmaster Scarab gloves when worn with a glove liner
    Cons: None yet

Waited several weeks for these to be back in stock and it was well worth the wait. The mornings in Seattle are running between 38 and 47 F now and my fingers would be cold after about 5 miles when wearing my TM Scarab gloves with a silk glove liner. The Cold Pro have been warm at 38 F my whole commute of 15 miles at freeway speed and a couple of blocks of city street 35mph. Big difference and I am curious to see how long I can ride before my fingers get cold. For the money I don't think these can be beat.

    Pros: Warm, Comfortable
    Cons: A bit bulky

I have yet to see how the gloves repel water, but they do keep you hands warm. My hands are normally cool all year round, but these gloves keep my hands warm, even the fingertips. They are a little bulky, but after riding for over an hour with them on, I didn't notice the bulkyness anymore. Make sure you buy a size bigger. They are a little tight, because of the extra material.

Pros: warm, seem as if they would help in a crash, dry, good size.
Cons: A bit stiff when new.

I live in the Pittsburgh area, and ride until I cant anymore due to snow. So if its 40 and dry I'm out there. I have a Sportster with no wind protection. I use these any time below 60 and Ive had them on down to 30 and they work great for all of it. Wind never gets in, and they wick any sweat away so overheating isn't any issue and cooler temps become irrelevant. When new they were a bit stiff so i rolled them in a ball, tied them with a rubber band and left them for a week. After this they have that curve built in and were comfortable as can be. the gauntlet is long and wide enough to go over my Tourmaster jacket sleeves with all liners, etc in but not decrease mobility as some long gauntlets make you feel like you have stiff sleeves on. Ive been riding for 30 years and they are just as good as any and better than most at any price. well worth it and I promise you will be happy with them. They are warm, dry, and windproof and seem to be good protection in he event of an unplanned dismount. Had them almost a year now and no problems with quality either, in fact I'm going to order the summer version to replace my worn out Tourmater summer gloves.

A friend told me about the gloves he found on COMPACC and I ordered them immediately on his recommendation. Like most riders, I have a few pairs of gloves for various seasons, and the Sliders Cold Pro technology is perfect for the North Central Minnesota weather. A bonus is the bright color that matches my vest and helps alert other drivers to my intentions to turn. The gloves are the best I've owned, and the COMPACC price was perfect...they are worth every penny.

Cons: run a little small becasue of layers

I like these gloves. They are perfect for those days that are a little chili where a mesh glove would leave your hands cold. They are of good quality, have good padding, and fell sturdy. For the price, you can't beat these gloves. They do run a size smaller than I usually wear, but I was prepared for that because I read the other reviews before buying.

Fantastic gloves - WaynoJ   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Keep your hands very warm and dry not as bulky as most cold weather gloves
    Cons: None

I'm normally not much of a cold weather rider, so I didn't own any real water-proof, insulated gloves, but after a recent ride wearing my Sliders Trident Kevlar gloves, I decided it was time to add to my arsenal. I searched all the major brands and didn't find a single reasonably priced glove until I saw these. The Sliders Cold Pro gloves are a great buy they keep you warm and dry, without the bulk of most water-proof gloves. Build quality seems to be typical of the Sliders brand, which is to say excellent. Great knuckle and finger armor, with plenty of palm padding. The availability of safety yellow as a body color is just icing on the cake. I highly recommend these gloves -- they are every bit as good as major brand gloves costing three times the price.

Measure on the high end of a medium, ordered a large, fits great. Rode to work with heated grips off at 26 degrees fahrenheit, hands were a little cold but not uncomfortable. They are slightly stiff with the insulation and leather but should break in. I hope they will make a glove like this without insulation in the palm for those with heated grips PLEASE Overall they are a great buy, you will not be disappointed.

Very Good - MSgt Ben - USAF   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well insulated, protective features except...
Cons: Not secure around the wrist, may come off in an accident

I ordered size according to CompAcc's recommendations. Gloves are kinda bulky but I'm surprised that it didn't interfere with feel for the controls. Very nice protective features except that retention is lousy. It may come off when you need it most. The gloves perform very well in cold weather. I've ridden down to the high teens and it kept my hands warm enough that I maintain good control. Nothing went numb in the hour that I rode but the very tips of my fingers will get cold but not frozen after about 35 minutes. The tips didn't get any colder, didn't lose feeling for clutch and brake levers. Are heated gloves better Maybe as far as keeping the hands warm, they are but I doubt that crash protection is as good as these Sliders gloves. Very good value and highly recommended. Only improvement I want is a strap that cinches around the wrist.

These gloves feel great from the first time you put them on. No break-in period. I rode seven hours in continious rain with 50 degree temps and my hands stayed warm and dry. They are very soft feeling gloves with no pinch points on the inner seams that rub your hands. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for a very well made glove. The protection they offer is phenomenal. I wear an XL but took the advice of others and ordered an XXL and the fit is perfect. These were a great product for the price. They keep hands warm down into the 30's. Best of those I've tried so far for winter riding. I bought the 3X so I could use a liner but so far haven't needed to, tho I tried one and it fit. They are comfortable and provide good feed back with the controls, at least for me. Nice glove at a nice price - Will   NJ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: very comfy, warm, reasonably protective, wide cuff
Cons: a little clumsy due to bulky profile

For 40 I was pleasantly surprised with the value offered by this glove. Several name brands offer less at a steeper price. First thing that struck me is how comfy they are, great fit and soft inside. The fit is right on, I wear a 2XL in most gloves and this was no exception. They are also quite warm, I'd say the warmest pair I own now and I own several cold weather gloves. The insulation seems to do its job throughout the glove with the exception of the extreme fingertip region, but nothing but heated gloves can really address that. The protection seems good, and better than most winter gloves as most makers seek to abandon armor in order to maintain a svelte profile. The stitching seems done well enough and I'd expect them to last at least a few winters. I really like the wide cuff as many gloves are sized too small in the cuff and it really cuts of your circulation in your wrists once you pull it over your cold weather jacket. This one is plenty roomy so no numb hands from circulation issues. Overall I'd recommend this glove without hesitation, lots of sizes and colors to choose from as well.

    Pros: Seriously Warm
    Cons: No pull tabs

Purchased these gloves about a month ago and since then I've gone on several multi-hour rides in temps ranging from 37-50 degrees. got to love the wild weather in VAFor my first outing with these babies it went on a 4 hour ride around Southern Maryland with a daytime high reaching a balmy 37 degrees and in all honesty my hands NEVER got cold. Second outing was riding to work at 630am maintaining 70mph for 40 minutes in 48degree weather, again, my hands were NEVER cold and actually started to sweat. Yea, their that warm. Glove construction is top notch And unlike other winter riding gloves I've used in the past the palm area is not over stuffed so gripping the bars and breakclutch levers aren't an issue. make no mistake, these are bulkier than standard non winter gloves but personally I think they did a great job at maintaining comfort to warmth ratio. Fingers are articulated and this also adds to the ease of use. Oh, did I mention they are WARM They seem to offer good protection as well, hope I never need to test it, and there is a pocket area behind the knuckle guards. I purchased a size Small and sizing for me was spot on My hands are 3 12in wide at the palms, 7in long from wrist to tip of middle finger.I only have one complaint there are no pull tabs Getting the first glove on and adjusting the Velcro is a snap The second glove is a little more tricky Because they are bulkier than standard riding gloves it's difficult to pull the other glove on, over your jacket and grabbing the Velcro tab if not un-Velcroed prior can be difficult to say the least. That's it, my only complaint and it's really not even all that bad Did I mention they are WARM If your riding in temps of 50 or up bring a second pair of non winter gloves cuz your hands will sweat.Seriously, buy these Your hands will thank youOh, and did I mention they are WARM

These gloves are warm, waterproof, and have some level of protection which is kind of hard to find in a winter gauntlet. I ordered these for when my Rev'it Monster gloves with some silk liners aren't cutting it. These fill the bill. They are warm. Have padding and a reinforced knuckle on a separate flap to allow better movement. The leather is surprisingly good quality. The gauntlet is long so it will easily fit over a jacket sleeve and prevent air from going up your sleeve on a cold ride. All in all these are a great deal on a pair of gloves with these kinds of features. I've tried some other sliders stuff and they are kind of hit or miss but these are a hit.

The ride home tonight promises to be even colder and I look forward to it. My wife bought me the Sliders Kevlar jacket and it with the gloves and I was toastyIf you have long sausages on your hands like I do, maybe order a size larger. This gave me the little extra room in the fingers so they weren't feeling crunched at the ends. I have yet to see how waterproof tthey are, as living in SoCal, there isn't much of the wet stuff. I'll update this when it rains and I have more miles on them.Just buy them. No, don't look elsewhere, just give them your money. You will thank yourself. You will say, self, thank you.

The fit is nice and tight but a little stiff. I think they will break in over time and after a few miles I didn't notice the stiffness. My hand were warm enough for my palms to sweat on my non heated grips but the mosture was wicked away nicely and my hands did not get chilled. I hope I never need to test the safty features of these gloves but all of the padding and protection seems to be in the right places. Hilly Gorelick
Just received these gloves tonight, and I am extremely impressed. I have owned many gloves, and you can tell by stitching and material, that these are very well made. The knuckle armor is rock hard, the reflective material is highly reflective, and the leather is reasonably thick. With Kevlar, thinsulate, and hipora, this is an exceptional value. My fingers measure roughly 3 inches from base, pinky more like 2. In size large, the gloves fit me perfect, finger tips just touch the inner ends of gloves, though the pinky is about half inch longer, but I'm used to this. So id say they run a bit smaller, so order a size up if you are between sizes. They feel like they will keep your fingers warm and protected. I will use these when snowboarding as well. High vis is great looking and will help you be noticed, which is what you want. I will be buying more of these as gifts, and I have to say thank you to the staff at Compacc. You all do a great job, you are so helpful and professional over the phone, email confirmations come right away, and when I didn't get one email, I called, and 5 minutes later email arrived. This is clearly a well run company, and you have my continued loyalty. Thanks again, and happy holidays! Sincerely, hilly gorelick, ny.

Great gloves. very good insulation. sizing is dead on.

A perfect fit for me! An attachment said I see the level of water proof protection it provides. Directions instructed me to pour putting hot not boiling water into the glove and just watch the steam come out. I did not do this because I need to use the glove. I ordered a small. My palm width is about 3.5 in.

The longer ride ranged from 33 when I left to 40 when I got home.My hands and fingers were kept toasty warm grip warmers only do so much throughout both rides. It's rare for me to find winter gloves that don't leave my fingers freezing in the wind, or don't have full protection at a price I'm willing to pay.I've rated only 4 stars because I've not been able to test either waterproofness or durability. I would, however, recommend these gloves highly. And, in fact, I already have.

    Pros: Warm,well made good price
Cons: Additional layers make finger length feel slightly undersized

Very nice and warm gloves. I wear a size large in most gloves and these fit as a large. The additional layers inside the gloves detract some from the finger length, like 18 of an inch. Just enough to make them uncomfortable to ride with two fingers laying over the clutch and brake, as i do when commuting and lane splitting. I do have heavy foam grips on my bike and the combination of grip, padding and glove layers restricts these to weekend cruising for me. They may stretch out when i wear them some more, or I may just get used to them.

I ordered these gloves because of the oncoming rain. I've only ridden thank god in light rain so far, & they were waterproof - - can't say what they'll be like in a good rain, but we will see. They are a good fit & are warm...almost like I am wearing snow gloves I think I will try these when I go snowboarding to see Wish they were thin lined so they aren't so if you have small hands, you may not get a good grip on your bars

Definitely Waterproof - Sid   NJ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: waterproof, high vis
    Cons: [None]

Have worn these gloves multiple times in the rain - down to about 40 degrees - and certainly kept my hands dry. 40 degrees is probably the limit for these gloves. Other people suggested going a size larger which I did. I'm normally a L and got the XL and they're a little too long in the fingers which makes operating some controls flimsy.

Nice Gloves - Jeff   SC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Thick, heavy duty
    Cons: Stiff

I normally wear small work and ski gloves but based on the measurement guide, I ordered the Medium and even those are sort of tight. I hope they break in and become less stiff because operating the clutch and turn signals is not very comfortable yet. Haven't tested them in rain but they were warm on a ride with temps in the low 50s. Although the grip heaters on my GS help too....

Nice - makinlifehappen   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Price, function
    Cons: nothing bad

This is an update. So these gloves are no longer warm if the temp is 35 or below and your going over 55 mph.

OUTSTANDING - makinlifehappen   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Price, function
    Cons: Gauntlet size

These gloves are pretty amazing amazing for 45 dollars. I ride as often as possible, they are true to size I wear a large, they do need a bit of break in though not bad at all. They are very waterproof, I just tested them out today in fact, it was raining pretty good and I decided to take them out for a spin just to test them. After 30 minutes in continual rain I was dry and warm.Riding at speeds above 60 for longer than 30 minutes they started getting cool, but not cold. The gauntlet is large, but no terribly so.I would buy them again.

Dry hands - McBueller   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Definitely keep my hands warm & dry.
Cons: They run small, especially in the gauntlet section.

Overall I'm satisfied with these gloves. They perform as advertised and look well made. I bought XL based on other's reviews, glad I did as even the XL's seem a touch tight, they should break-in though. The gauntlet section is too narrow IMHO, just barely fitting over my leather jacket & rain suit sleeves.

Overall, pretty good - Bob   UT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warmer than my last pair
Cons: Sizing is a little weird, gauntlet part could be a littlee roomier.

found even the 2XL a little snug on my admittedly largelong hands, 3Xl much better as far as the width goes, but the fingers seemed a little long wider hands don't necessarily mean longer fingers. So, I have to be aware of not getting my fingers trapped behind the brake levers. That said, on a 10 mile ride at 38 deg. my hands stayed fairly comfortable, but I'd probably add wind-proof over mitts for a longer ride or lower temps. Still, a good deal with the sale price

Pretty good gloves - cma-rider   CO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warm, sturdy, not crash tested but looks protective, good value.
Cons: A little stiff at first, gauntlet could be a little larger.

Bought these to try. I did order sizing based on other reviewers. Fit well. Gauntlet is a little tight to fit over my leather jacket zippered sleeves. Not as bulky as my water proof ski gloves which makes use of clutch & brake better. Never got to test in rain but used them on a trip last week in the low to mid 50's at 80 mph for over 100 miles, in the 40's at 60 mph for 60 miles and even at around 32 for 10 miles to breakfast stop. 4 stars since no rain test. I like em

Sliders Cold Pro - Jim   MN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Price
    Cons: Air leakage

Good value for the money.I normally wear size medium per other reviews I purchased size large which fit good.Ride a Goldwing and could notice some air flow threw the right glove which wasn't noticed in the left, 15-20 min commute on the freeway at 30degrees was ok, 4hr ride which started in the low 40s and ended in the mid 50s was comfortable. When these wear out for the price I will order another set of the same.

Good Value - Danny   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warm but not too bulky
Cons: Too warm in moderate conditions

Excellent value for cold weather. I wear them on my 45 minute commute to work. Temperature was 40 degrees F and only had a little coldness in the fingertips, but nothing bad. Very good fit but make sure you order a size larger than normal. I haven't had a chance to test the waterproof ability yet. For temperatures above 50 degrees F, these will make your hands too warm, so wear them in the morning and then stick them in your bags as the day gets warmer. Still a great deal for cold weather riding.

Great Warm - RMRJR   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warm. Easy to velcro. Large straps
Cons: Thick Palm. Have to get used to riding in thicker gloves

I love the glove. I like a thinner palm so I can feel the controls as much as possible.I wear this glove in early mornings but usually change to a thinner glove when it warms up. Took a few weeks to break in , like most new thick gloves. crumbling up in bottom of saddle bag helped. Would buy again.

Cold Pro Gloves - Ranman   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: bright color, seem well made
Cons: Need padding in palm for vibration, not effective below 40 F,

Got these as I ride in cold weather a lot. Took several trips in 36 and below weather. Fingers cold and burning in less than 15 miles. I do ride an adventure bike so no fairing for protection. During one brief rain they did not soak through. Do fit very snug in the hand but not fingers. Would be nice to get a liner glove, but even ordering up a size far too snug for that.As the directions say order up a size. Still for price and use they seem very good. Value seems reasonable for price.

Good for the price - Tanner   UT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Price kevlar reinforced
    Cons: Sizing guesswork light-medium insulation

These gloves are good for the money-not great. Having ridden with them, I probably would have opted to spend a little extra and go with another glove, but I'm not disappointed, either. As others have said, the sizing is off--I own the sliders trident gloves in a large and they're snug in finger length. When I bought these, I sized up two sizes to 2XL and they fit perfect in the finger length, and a tiny bit loose in the palm. Glove liners took up the slop. Not as much thinsulate in the fingers as I'd like, especially the tips. I tested them in 19 degree temps on a naked bike, and they did ok for short, slower stop&go. At 80 mph, my fingers were painful after 10 min. But those are extreme conditions. In temps above 30 & definitely 40, these will work well.

Excellent chilly weather gloves - Preston   SC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good fit, well armored, very warm
Cons: stiff fingers, tendency to slide forward

I purchased these gloves for use during the relatively mild winters in SC and they have not let me down. They fit very well and are warm for my 40 minute commutes even into the high 20's. The construction appears solid and the armor is well placed. They are warmer and dryer than my Olympia GT's but not as comfortable for long rides due to bulk and flexibilty. They make for a stiff grip which can tire your hand if you have narrow bars. After using them for several months it is a little better but I don't think they'll ever break in like a set of leathers. When wearing a bulky coat for the cold weather the gloves have a tendency to slide forward on my hand, but not enough to cause any interferenceOverall very happy with the purchase. Would buy another set if I ever manage to wear these out.

Good pair of gloves - Ravi   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Good build quality
Cons: Can't keep your hands warm at temps below freezing

Good pair of gloves. Fit and build quality is very good. They were delivered in time. At temps above 40 deg. F they work quite well. For 32-40 deg. F your hands will feel cold. Riding with these at temps below freezing will be very uncomfortable for your hands unless you have heated grips or additional wind protection for your handsfingers.

Lot of Glove for the money - Silver FZ1   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: A Bargain, well made, choice of colors a plus, kevlar
Cons: As the ad warned, a bit on the small side for given size

Unless you're going the heated grips route, this is about as warm as you'll get. Have not had a chance to test the waterproof claim. Well made and comfortable, with Velcro flap for closure. As the ad warned, they are a bit on the small side per given size. My size is Large, but unsure I would have wanted to go up one size due to longer fingers, which I would not want.

Sliders Cold Pro Gloves - Sean   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good feel, fit and protection
Cons: Break in takes a minute.

I ordered these to replace my 10 year old cold weather gloves. I was skeptical at first because they are very light. One use laid that to rest. These gloves fit well and offer excellent feel of the bike's controls. I normally wear an XL glove and have known winter gloves to be a tad small due to the extra padding. These fit great. It took me a little while to break in these gloves to that kung-fu grip needed for good handle on the bars. I wore them around the house with my hands balled into fists and went on 2 or 3 rides around town before they stopped fatiguing my hands. They're good to go now.I've worn them in temps as low as mid-20 F and they perform well. After 45 minutes to an hour my fingers will start to get cold. I don't have heated grips or any heated gear so much past that in freezing temps is uncomfortable but if you're riding in temps that low for extended amounts of time you really should invest in heated gear. In mid-30 to 50 temps I can ride all day with no problems. Above 50 my hands will sweat so I need to switch to a lighter glove.I haven't ridden in any heavy rain yet so I haven't been able to fully test the waterproof capability of these gloves. Being an all weather rider in the PACNORWEST will surely test this soon tho. They have kept the water out in the light rain I have ridden in thus far.

good for 40s and above - bailey   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: The gauntlet style keeps the wind out of your sleeves perfectly
    Cons: [None]

The gloves fit well and take some getting used to due to the thickness of the glove. If the temperature is anywhere below 40F you won't even make it down the block without your fingertips getting cold. They do keep the main part of the hand somewhat warm though. Anything around 45 mph in 40 degree weather will cause discomfort after about 30 minutes or so.

Good bargain - Jeff   CO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Warm, protective, high viz
Cons: Lack of wrist closure strap, sized small

Was in the the market for a winter glove that had decent armor. Bought these gloves after reading the reviews. If you have chunky hands or long fingers definitely move one size up. Otherwise fit is snug but perfect I ordered my usual size. Gloves are a bit stiff out of the box, I had hoped for more curvature of the fingers but they are breaking in nicely. Wore them for a couple of hours riding in 40 degree temps, fingertips got cold towards the end but not freezing. Control feel was somewhat decreased with the insulation, but not compromised. I was told Sliders has since come out with a model that has a wrist strap - which helps but I never experienced any tendency for the glove to come off while riding.

Great glove at its pricepoint - NWilliams   NV Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Price, warm in intermediate weather, easy on & off, comfortr, waterproof
Cons: This is NOT a cold weather glove, no rain squeegee on the thumb

Comfortable. Sizing is true to form with enough room for a liner if so inclined. Rode in sustained rain for about an hr on a BMW K1200LT and remained dry. Seems good quality after roughly a month of riding. Warm down to the low forties, but after 20 minutes fingertips were getting cold. I speculate liners could've cured that for another 5 degrees of so. This is NOT in the extreme cold weather league with Held, Tourmaster, Olympia, and others, but keeping its price point in mind it IS a solid cool to slightly cold weather glove value.

Great cool weather gloves - kawaC14   NJ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Excellent quality, plenty of padding and insulation, good protection
Cons: Less than adequate warmth in cold 32F and below weather

I ride 12 months a year to and from work, a 20 minute commute. Winter in the northeast is often below freezing for weeks. I needed to replace my older insulated gloves and, from the reviews, these looked like they were just what I wanted. I do not have heated grips and prefer not to mess with expensive heated gloves.Based on other reviews, and the advisory provided by CompAcc, I ordered a size larger, the 3XL and they fit perfectly. These are bulky gloves, so don't expect a normal tactile feel of lightweight gloves when operating turn signals or high beams. Their initial stiffness will soften up in time. On cool mornings 35-45F they provided decent warmth, about the same as my older insulated gloves. One morning, the outside temperature was 21F, and by the time I got to work, my fingers were cold. Keeping the gloves inside near my heating vent overnight, rather than in my cold garage, helps initially, but when the outside temp is below freezing, the fingers eventually get cold.In cold weather, I still prefer my snowmobile mittens which have kept my fingers warm even when riding when the temperature's in the single digits. These would more accurately be described as Cool Pro insulated gloves, and would be a good choice on rides above freezing temperatures.

Comfortable, but.... - Fred So. New Mexico   NM Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, flexible, protective, gauntlet is nice, well-made
Cons: Riding in 32 degrees today, hands were cold even with grip warmers on

I ride every day and the gloves have been comfortable, flexible and durable. There are no problems manipulating the controls on the bike. The gauntlet style is nice--high enough to go over my jack sleeve to keep air out. Haven't tested the protective features yet and don't intend to. Riding to work today in 32 degree weather, my fingers did get cold even though I had the grip warmers on. Another thin liner glove underneath these might do the trick. Sliders could add a little more insulation. Overall a good glove and great value.

Great gloves - Touring SC NC   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: comfortable, warm, good protection,
Cons: thumb is a little tight, No wrap around velcro strap, just a cinch velcro closure.

These seem to be great gloves for cold weather riding. palms are thinner and have more sensory feel than my past thick gloves. The layered skins tend to really keep the wind from coming through and helps keep fingers warmer. The knuckles have a thick plastic protector on them that feels like they would really help in a slide. The wrist open up large enough to fit over my winter riding coat. The wrist don't pull tight around the coat as well as other pair but so far has not effected air leakage.I have not worn in the rain yet. Look like they will not leak but I have not tested.I'm 5-6 and 175 lbs. Short stubby fingers, medium fit me well.

    Pros: Seem well made
    Cons: Sizes run small

Just bought them and it is still in the 90s - 100 outside. Therefore, don't know yet how they will perform. Gave them 4 stars only on the basis of fit. However, I'm sending in this review to comment that they run small, even compared with other motorcycle gloves. I have a pair of summer gloves I bought in a brick & mortar store. Size XL. I figured I'd be OK buying these in XL largest size available when I ordered. However, after trying them on I could probably use XXL as the fingers are a bit short - but wearable. For the price I'll keep them and hope, as one reviewer said, they break in and will loosen up a bit. On the plus side I think the long cuff will be a big advantage as temperatures drop.

Good value - Doug   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Comfort & performance
    Cons: Quality

I wore these about 6 times before the warm weather got here, none in the rain. You definitely need to go a size larger than normal, I had to return them for an XL. Comp-A was great about that.Temps I used them in ranged from about 60 to 35. On the 60-degree days they were almost too warm. On the 35-degree days they were great the only time my hands were cold was the day I left them with the bike in my unheated garage. My hands are pretty exposed on my Sprint ST, so they normally get cold but were fine with these gloves. My comment about quality comes from noticing that the suede on the back of the left thumb has started to come off. Now I guess I get to find out how the 1-year warranty works.

    Pros: great deal
    Cons: runs a little tight

It runs a little tight but a little break in is going to help it losen up. I used this in low 30's at freeway speeds and they kept my hand warm, no need for an extra insert. But if you want to use an insert then order the next size up since they run pretty much true to size. I wear a medium on every brand of glove and I got these in a medium. I got the hi-viz which is a plus since it is hard to find cold weather gloves in this color. Overall a great product and great price

I haven't had the opportunity to test them for being water proof. The gauntlets fit over my coat sleeve but just barely. Bought for cold weather - Tom C   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: offers good protection, seems good quality for the cost
Cons: not as warm as advertised

bought these thinking that I would be able to ride in the 30's and my hands would stay warm. Nope. I have a half hour commute on an unfaired bike in the morning, and 10 minutes in, my hands were chilly, especially in the fingers and palms around the grips, and the tops of the fingers in the front. No heated grips on the bike, but that probably would help immensely. For my commute, the chill is tolerable, but I wouldn't want to be riding in the cold all day for sure. They also are pretty stiff when you first get them, but they seem to be breaking in with time. I hope that they don't go from broken in to broken down at the same time. I'd recommend for riding in the 40's and up, but the 30's is too cold for just the glove.

Nice gloves - kevlexus10   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warm up to 32 degrees for me, not a lot of break in needed
Cons: Forearm strap not the best

Nice gloves for the money. They do a good job at keeping my hands down to about 32 degrees. They are however a lot warmer than my Alpinestar Apex Drystar. They are a little bulkier but you get use to it after a couple of rides. Palm protection seems OK. I haven't crash tested them yet to I can't say how they will hold up. My only gripe is the gauntlet strap. It's not much to it really so it doesn't cinch down like some other gauntlet gloves I've seen. For someone on a budget these are a home run for some winter gloves. Thanks Competition Accessories for the great prices on these gloves.

Best winter glove value - JCinNC   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fit, comfort, cold weather ability, visibility
Cons: Gloves come off too easily

At the price CompAcc sells these gloves at, it was worth a try. I've already got another high-dollar, high-end glove from a major manufacturer to compare them against. I really feel like the Sliders Cold Pro gloves offer almost everything the other gloves does at less than half the cost I commute in the dark this time of year, so I got the high-viz orange. Combined with the large reflective patch these gloves really stand out - perfect when dealing with unwary cagers. The gloves fit great. They're well insulated, so they're a little bulky and you lose some feel and dexterity, but they're still very functional and comfortable. I've had them at interstate speeds in the mid-30s and they work great on my completely exposed sportbike. Throw on some glove liners, turn the grip heaters on and I'm good to go now The stitching and overall quality of materials and craftsmanship of the glove is pretty good. The gloves have good protective features with the extra leather layers and padding in the high-wearimpact areas and with the hard knuckles. My biggest complaint is that even when securely strapped on, I can just pull the gloves off. Surely a simple velcro hook and loop fastener at the wrist would solve this issue Beside that shortcoming, I think that, for the money, this is arguably one of the best winter glove values out there.

Cons: A bit snug in my size

Bought glove based on other reviews. I'm pleased overall but would change a few things. Ordered correct size but they are a bit snug which doesn't help with warmth. However to go up a size would mean fingers would be overly long. For the price and function I'm not complaining.

warm and dry - B. D. Chambers   MN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: good price, good fit, warm, keeps the wet out.
    Cons: none so far

They just arrived yesterday, and since I'm practicing wet-weather riding prior to moving to Seattle, I decided to give them a try. Temps were in the 40s with drizzle and rain, which used to mean driving, but not anymore. The fit is nice-not as snug as my A-Stars Tech-Road GTX, which are almost too snug but roomy enough for good movement. I bought medium as I usually do, and the sizing seems perfect. I used the right glove to wipe the seat dry, and it seems the waterproof membrane works. My middle finger on that hand seemed a bit cooler than the others, which maybe due to being wet on the outside. Otherwise, hands were warm and dry. I don't intend to intentionally crash-test them, but so far they pass all other tests. My only complaint is that the Hi-Viz isn't available in medium the reflective patch will have to do

First, sizing.... I usually wear large in gloves. So i ordered large and when they arrived thought the finger length was too short. especially in the left ring finger, due to the armor on that finger pinching on that finger's middle knuckle when i made a tight fist. but when holding on to the handle bars no problem. i decided against trading up since that part of the gloves are leather and would probably stretch out a bit after break-in. sure enough, after walking around the house with them on a couple of days and constantly making tight fists they feel fine now.
comfort.... all i can say is, that lining feels so cushy. a little bulky when using the hand controls but nothing one can't get used to. and for winter/insulated gloves it's to be expected.
warmth.... the first morning i used them outside temps were about in the mid-upper 40F. after a 25 min. commute on a sportbike @ speeds above 70mph, hands felt fine. not warm but definetly NOT cold. very next morning was colder by at least 10F. same commute, same speeds and hands were just cool but both middle finger tips were cold and slightly numb.
i don't usually ride in temps that cold on 2nd day, just wanted to see how well they do their job.

very pleased with these gloves so far, will see how they perform over the winter. these definitely extend my riding season a lil longer.

Sliders gloves - Dave G   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Good quality, great price
    Cons: Feel

Great sales price, just took a while to get used to the thickness and flexibility. Couldn't feel the clutch and handle bars as well as my previous gloves

Sliders Cold Pro Gloves - Jstar01   CA Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: Kept my hands dry during a light rain.
Cons: Not a truly cold weather glove

The Sliders Cold Pro Waterproof Insulated gloves are an OK value. I read the reviews and thought these gloves would replace my 10 year old waterproof winter gloves. I ordered my true size which is a medium. They were originally tight and I thought about returning them for a larger size but I figured they would stretch a bit as they break in. They did stretch and now fit very well. The stitching, materials, and general workmanship are excellent. I rode in a light rain and they kept my hands dry. The problem I have with these gloves is that they don't keep the cold air from penetrating to my hands. I live in the San Francisco Bay area and my commute is about 30 minutes on interstate 680. Even with temperatures in the low 50's my hands were cold. especially the fingertips. I had one hand with the Sliders and the other hand with my 10 year old glove. There was a noticeable difference in hand warmth. My hand in the Sliders were definitely more colder than my hand in the old gloves. If the weather is anything above 60, my hands will feel too hot. So with that said, I can't recommend these gloves. They would be perfect and a great value had they kept my hands relatively warm.

They work, price OK - kuyohtay   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Cost, appearance
    Cons: Fit, Bulky

I rode for 40min, 44DEG F, 12 highway, 12 city. My fingertips got cold I have BarkBuster Storm handguards. They never got numb, which is great, but surprised they got cold - 2 fingers on one glove, one on the other. I think its the build quality under these circumstances. I did not test waterproofing, lack of confidence though. Maybe I'll do that in the kitchen sink under the spray tap I'll let you know. The were very well priced, I need to break them in some to make the fit better. They kept my hands much warmer than my leather Slider GREAT Gloves BTW IMHO.We will see how they endure.

Sliders Cold Pro waterproof gloves - FT   NE Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: price and style
    Cons: fit

I have not had a chance to wear these gloves yet, but they are almost too tight. I bought large even though the sizing chart recommended medium. I hope they stretch a bit on my upcoming Euro trip.If they are waterproof and stretch a little, I would consider these gloves a good value.

Extra large hands - Joe Jarhead   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Good quality, durable product
    Cons: Sized way to small

Ordered extra large, as I always do for gloves. When arrived so tight could not get them past knuckles.Exchanged for 2x which were fine. Had to pay for shipping again, even though the guy I talked to about the size problem, stated it was a common problem with these gloves. Should have been noted in the ad...they run small

Good glove but... - HotRodYJ   TN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Good fit and feel
Cons: Not as warm as a cheap pair of ski gloves

I've worn a cheap pair of Walmart ski gloves for years for cold weather riding down to around 30 degrees. I wanted to invest in a good pair of real motorcycle gloves that still didn't break the bank. I settled on these and have worn them several times in the past two weeks to get them broken in before cold weather set in. This morning I rode to work at 38 degrees and was a little dissapointed that my fingers still get cold. Not frostbite cold, but still noticeably worse than the old cheap ski gloves. The Cold Pro are a good glove, they look good, fit good I ordered one size larger as many have recommended and they do still have pretty good feel of the controls. I think the control feel is accomplished by putting less insulation on the under side of the glove, The top side does have noticeably more, and that is logical sine thats where the wind will hit the most. Sitting at a red light I noiticed cold from the aluminum brake and clutch levers creeping thru the glove.Bottom line, it is a good glove but not as warm as I had hoped. This summer I upgraded from a Suzuki Volusia with a Memphis Shades windshield to a Victory Cross Country with far better wind protection, but my hands are colder in these gloves by comparison.

Good value - sabredude   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Comfortable and feel great
Cons: Not as warm as I expected

Ordered next size up and they fit pretty good, while they are warm I expected slightly better, my fingers went numb on a 45 degree ride in about 15 minutes

Okay for 40 plus temp and above - Herm   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Nice fit, like the protection.
Cons: Not go for below 40 temps

Well this is the second time I had a chance to wear them for a ride during this winter. The first time was right after I got them and the weather was starting to turn to the cold size here in NJ. I was going church which is about a 45 to 50 min ride from the house. One of those sunny but cold mornings around 38. Well they were good until about 15 mins into the ride and then the fingers got cold. The rest of the gloves kept my hands warm but the fingers not so well. But for todays ride for the same distance they were great Temp was at around 40 and on the way home around 52. So depending on the ride and distance and weather they are about a 3s star for me on a non heated glove. THey be different on someone else but for me so far they are okay.Am looking into some hand guards to help cut the air flow during the winter rides to see if that would give them a 4 or five starOh my bike is a 2013 Triumph Rocket 3.

Not Cold Weather gloves - Steve   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Great protection
Cons: Snug, Not for real cold weather.

I have used these gloves for a few weeks. I use these gloves for my 30 minute commute to work. I ride at highway speed for about 12 of my ride. They work well to keep my fingers warm only when the temp is above 40 degrees. They are bulky but as I use them more they seem to be breaking in and getting better to use. I have not had a chance to test them in the rain but who plans to ride in the rain. I like that these gloves have Kevlar and knuckle protection in case of mishaps. Order the gloves one size larger than they say. Ride safe.

slider gloves - biker48pd   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: they seem to be durable but will have to wait and see
Cons: they only keep your hands warm to about 36 degrees

they slider gloves are thick but it grips the handle bars fine. i rode with them from joshua tree ca. to salt lake city and they seem to hold up ok. they show a little wear but time will tell. as far as them being totally warm, well as long as the heated grips work they will be fine till you get to temperatures not less then 36 degrees. the back of my hands were cold. had to put on another pair of gloves for them to keep my hands from freezing. as far as water proof, that did not happen. would i refer them to someone else, that will be questionable. i do like the hard knuckers.

Slider gloves - Drewmonty   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Look like they would be good gloves
    Cons: Fingers are tight

Ok I've been waiting all summer for these to be back in stock. Got them, and compared to my other slider gloves the material in the fingers is too tight.same size and the finger length is good. I'm in the ski industry and a tight glove means cold hands. I wish a motorcycle company would use primaloft and put more on the back of the hand where we need it. Especially with heated grips and so we can feel the grips. Look worthy if you have slender fingers

Appear to be a good value - Gary R   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Price point, construction
Cons: sizing is hit or miss

I haven't used these in cold weather yet, but they seem well constructed and should be warm enough for an hour or 2 at a time in cold weather. I regularly ride in temperatures down to the 20s. Order AT LEAST 1 size larger than you normally wear. If I wear these outlose them or whatever, I'll order another pair 2 sizes larger.

warm but bulky - Jed   OR Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warm, well constructed, good price
    Cons: Bulky, no wrist strap

I seem to have really long, skinny hands so I bought the XXL which are fine for length, but too wide. They are still comfortable though and quite warm.I'd prefer they had a velcro wrist strap to secure the in case of a crash and a visor wiper would be nice too, but for the price I'm happy with them.

Great quality for price...but - irv   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Beautifully made, great buy, reflective panel, available in Hi Viz
Cons: Under 40 degrees.....not so hot, giant Sliders logo

These are beautifully made gloves, with smooth, soft leather and nice stitching. Fit is snug....but I'm sure they'll break in over time. Only negative....sub 40 degree temps and your fingers get cold on the freeway within 15 miles or so. Since I live in Northern Cali it's not a huge problem, but I do ride home from work a couple of nights a week and it's been getting down to the 30's here. My old Joe Rocket Nitrogen gloves are warmer. Hate the logo-not only is it very large but it lacks any style whatsoever. Still.....there's very few choices of cold weather Hi Viz gloves out there and for 40 these are a steal

OK -- good for the money - Musiker   VA Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: price
    Cons: fit, cold insulation

Good gloves for the price, I was going cheap and got cheap that kinda does the job. Down to 55 degrees they work pretty well, below that my fingers get a bit cold on longer rides. For shorter, commuting 15-20 minutes, they will work at colder temperatures 30-50 degrees. After a longer ride more than 30 minutes tips of my fingers get numb, and hands get stiff, the material is quite rigid and I think my circulation is getting cut off somehow not the case in my Summer gloves Perhaps they will loosen up a bit over time... I've put 500 or so miles on them. So -- OK for the price, but if I had a do-over I would have spent a bit more and gotten a pair that was a bit more comfortable and worked better in the cold on longer rides. I will need to purchase a better pair for next year... As my Daddy used to say, pay more initially and you will save in the end -- why don't I ever listen

Meh - Ken M Can   MA Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: [None]
Cons: runs small, cheap knuckle protectors easily break

I'm a medium size and ordered large based upon previous reviews. Good thing because for my relatively small fingers the large is a snug fit. One of the gloves dropped to the garage floor and the clear plastic knuckle protector cracked as a result. I cannot understand how this plastic can provide any amount of protection and cannot help but wonder if this is some cheap gimmick. Padded leather would be better over the knuckles. Maybe the fit is too tight and that is why my fingers get cold in 25-35 degree temps without heated hand grips on. Seamfabric construction seems okay so far but I haven't really used them enough to be certain. Somehow I just don't feel they are quite worth the money at this point 45 on sale. Perhaps after some break-ingreater use I'll feel differently.

Great Potential, weird sizing - Crater   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Price, good design, quality and materials
    Cons: Sizing, sizing, sizing

It's too bad that these gloves come so close to being the perfect cold weather glove I've been searching for all these years. The cuff perfectly fits over my jacket sleeve and the velcro adjustment on it is easy to use and effective. However, the sizing is not even close to porportional. Every glove I've ever purchased was a size large, I had to buy these in Extra large, yet the fingers were extremely tight and I do not have big fingers or hands. The tips of my fingers pressed against the glove fingertips which created cold spots and prevented my hands from comfortably holding the grips. It's too bad, I really wanted to give these gloves five stars, especially after reading all the positive reviews. I have tried a temperate weather Sliders glove with fitment issues. Large was too small and in that case, extra large was waaaaaay too big. The factory in Pakistan needs to get a better handle on standardizing their glove patterns.

Not that great... - MarioZX10R   MA Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: Good Hi-Viz
Cons: Too bulky, not well insulated

I've worn these gloves a few times now and I'm not impressed with them considering I bought them for spring riding in Massachusetts. My ride to work is a little over an hour, both back roads and some city driving as I cross Worcester from west to east. I found that at approx 40 degrees, i was freezing my hands off...really cold...and I had glove liners on under these gloves In stop and go traffic my left hand was severely cramping due to the force I had to exert to pull in my clutch lever. Considering that these are motorcycle gloves, operating the controls easily is the #1 important feature, and I feel that these gloves failed at doing that. The price was decent, but these gloves failed to perform...

Decent for high 40's and above - Cali motorcyclist   CA Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: Protective knuckles, high gauntlet
Cons: No good under 40 degrees, bulky,

I bought these gloves after reading all the great reviews saying these gloves keep your hands warm in 40's, 30's weather. I call BS They hold up for the first 10-15 minutes after that you start to feel your fingers getting cold then numb. They're good for high 40's and above but low 40's and below they're worth ish. There are some reviews saying these are good in the 30's that rider is lying probably works for compacc. For how bulky these gloves are I expected more but there are less bulky gloves which will give you the same results or better. I even wore glove inserts but still didn't help I can imagine without em I would feel the cold after 5 minutes of riding. The only thing I liked bout these gloves is the knuckle protection and the high gauntlet which covers the wrist nicely enough to tuck your jacket sleeve in. The knuckle protection even though looks good it feels like strong plastic which I do not know how good that would hold up. For the price I regret buying em and will be asking for a refund. They're no good even as regular gloves standing in the cold, after 15 minutes my hands are numb. I live in cental Cali and the morning cold weather drops to 17-25 foggy. Spend your money else where on some thick leather cold weather gloves or go for heated gear. All you previous reviewers who said these gloves are great for cold, try using em in low 20's high 10's going 60-70 mph and tell me if they hold up after 5 minutes. Waste of my time and money.

Sliders Cold Pro Gloves - Johnsongrass   TX Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: Waterproof, Price
    Cons: Fit,Warmth

Bought these for a ten day trip to Colorado. Wore them one time for a day trip from Gunnison to Pikes Peak. Left Thursday morning in 36 degree clear weather. A few miles out of town changed out of my shorty gloves into the Sliders. Stopped on topof Monarch Pass and had to thaw my hands out behind my exhaust. These gloves did absolutely nothing to keep my hands warm. I also would recommend gooing up two sizes if you do decide to purchase a pair of these gloves. Put the shorty's back on and continued on with no more issues. Very surprised that these gloves were so terrible at keeping my hands warm.
