Information and Details about the Sliders Coastal Leather Waterproof Gloves
made by Sliders
The Sliders Coastal Gloves are a great basic winter glove for the touring rider or commuter. Sliders Coastal Gloves are constructed with 3M Thinsulate to keep your warm. A Hipora waterproof membrane serves to keep your hands dry, yet allows them to breath so perspiration can escape. Genuine name brand Aramid is used in the palm of the Sliders Coastal gloves for extra abrasion protection, as well as an extra 2.5mm layer of leather at the impact areas. The knuckles on the Coastal gloves are padded for impact protection. Sliders Coastal gloves are made from goat skin leather, which is soft and supple right out of the package. If you are looking for a leather waterproof, insulated glove, the Sliders Coastal gloves are a fantastic choice!
Sliders Coastal Leather Gloves are built to be tough as nails and protect you in the event of a crash. With added waterproof capability, Sliders Coastal Leather Gloves are a perfect fit for cold weather riding, or riding in wetter climates. Sliders Coastal Leather Gloves are made of goat leather with aramid reinforcements in the high wear areas to prevent premature wear. Satisfied - Sliders Coastal Leather Waterproof Gloves   OR Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Fit
    Cons: [None]

I am satisfied with these gloves, I have a large hand by measurement but purchased the XLarge and they are the correct size for me. I use these with handlebar muffs so I can't comment on their waterproof quality. I would purchase this product again.

Good gloves - bem in pgh.   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Price

I have used these glove in cold weather, 40 - 60 degrees f. Six and seven hour rides in the Pa. mountains. The gloves are warm and stopped the wind well enough to stay warm.Good price for ability to stay warm.

Great Glove Value - jelincoln   UT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Low cost, warm, easy to put on, reflective stripes
    Cons: None so far

These were just what I needed to upgrade my winter gear. Low price, leather, with thermal liner. I bought a larger size to allow wearing another glove, wool, but didn't need to in upper 30 deg F weather. Great value.

Very Good Gloves - Motokeez   NJ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fit, Finish, Keeps hands warm, Construction
    Cons: None yet

Gloves fit great, are put together extremely well, and keeps my hands warm during the cold weather rides of the winter here in the northeast. Have not at this time ridden in rain so cannot let you know how waterproof they really are but have lived up to all of the other boasts from the manufacturer, so I am not concerned. Plus the price is real low, so it is a win-win. Highly recommend them.

Sliders Coastal Leather Waterproof Gloves - East Bay Rumbler   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fit perfectly, hands comfortable in upper 40's temp
Cons: None really... May want to size up a little is using liners

So far so good... Gloves fit perfectly... Temperatures have just recently dipped into the upper 40's... Behind the fairing my hands are comfortable. Construction seems to be good, well crafted... They don't really feel like they have go be broken in... Feels really nice that way.... Per usual, Comp. Accessories was spot on in product, delivery, and follow through... Another satisfied customer..... Again

Sliders Coastal Leather Gloves - Jim T   AL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Well made. Good value.
Cons: A little snug across hand.

I called about an exchange. Was told to wear them around the house a few days. I decided to put a good size ice tea glass inside for a few days to see if they would stretch a little. I haven't road with them yet, but they seem to fit a lot better now. They were supposed to be a Christmas present, so I let my daughter wrap to put under the tree.

Another happy customer - Rider73   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: These gloves are well made and warm the size chart was right on.
Cons: There is feel than with a fabric glove.

I had been wearing snow mobile gloves that eventually wore out. I ride 25 miles one way to work even with the temperatures in the low 30's and traveling 50 mph they kept my hands warmer than the snow mobile gloves.

nice gloves with Kevlar - George, Spring Texas   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Nice feel ,keep hands warm, reflective strips
    Cons: size run small

These are a great gloves at a very good price. I have used them in temps in the 38-42 range and stayed warm at 75-80 mph. I needed a size larger than I wear in other gloves.Once you get the size you need these are very good leather kevlar gloves.

Sliders Coastal Glove Review - Ray Lloyd   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well Made, Price is awesome, Very comfortable, Warm, Not too bulky
Cons: Buy one size larger than recommended

For the money, I have never found a better pair of winter gloves. These are well made, very comfortable, pre-curved fingers excellent idea, no break in required. They are not too bulky like some winter gloves. The leather is soft and flexible, requiring no break-in period.I like these gloves so much I am actually buying another pair only weeks after buying the first pair. I keep a snowmobile suit, boots, winter hat, and gloves in the trunk of my car in case of winter breakdown, and will add this second pair of these gloves to that kit.One thing to keep in mind about size. These are sized a LITTLE bit small. I have small hands, and I normally wear a medium or large glove, but thought I wanted a little room in the gloves in case it was extremely cold and I added thin polypropelene liners. I ordered the XL size, and they are BARELY large enough to add the thin liners. Thus, my recommendation to order one size larger than you need.Other than that, these gloves are warm, stretchy, comfortable, and a GREAT DEALI HIGHLY recommend them

Sliders Winter Gloves - BruceP   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Quality looks great, comfortable & priced right
    Cons: non so far

No cold weather here yet to test out these babies but Florida's Coolest Rally in January should take care of that. .My main plan for these is during my next high altitude ADV ride this summer. Thanks for all the fast service you have given me in the past. BP

good deal - Steve in PA   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: warm and dry
    Cons: none so far

I wear these when it is raining or when temps dip below 50 degrees. We have already had some mornings with temps around 40 and these did fine on a naked bike at 70 mph. Very comfy glove. Seems well put together. I have wide hands and wear the 3xl and while roomy they fit good. The fingers are a bit long for my stubby digits but this does not bother me and will be good when temps really drop down. I have not worn these yet in a real deluge but in a steady light rain hands stayed dry on a 2 hour ride. Cuffs fit over jacket sleeve well and the velcro strap works great. Very happy with these.

Great bargain gloves - rbgiantfan   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Price, comfort, protection
    Cons: Not a designer name

There's no sense in repeating the features listed in the product description. These gloves deliver on all of their claims. They feel like they'll have adequate protection in the event of a get-off. They fit well due to the elastic cuff and adjustable wrist strap. The Thinsulate works pretty well, down to 35F degrees. Reflective piping is effective but not over done. The only downside is they don't say Alpinestars or Dainese - so if you like brand names then get something else. But if you value your money, you won't be disappointed with these gloves.

Warm gloves - Westbusa   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warm, seem bulky but no interference with operating throttle or clutch
    Cons: None so far

Great warm gloves, rode in 45 degree weather for 20 miles on highway and hands stayed warm, seemed like they would be hard to wear ,seemed bulky but worked great with no problems with throttle or clutch, turning on my gopro was fun,but just bought a second pair for my son

Warm gloves - Jwestbusa   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Warm,soft
    Cons: None so far

Went for a ride in 45 degree weather down the highway at 75 for over 20 miles and fingers stayed nice and warm,im 5'5 135 lbs and small hands med fit good.

SCKLG - rider   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Warm, Soft, Rugged.
    Cons: none

I like these gloves. Nice leather. The large size is a little tight on my medium sized hands. My knuckles are bigger than normal because of arthritis. These will give a good grip for an insulated glove, probable the leather quality Anyway better than the made for snow type.

Sliders Coastal Kevlar Leather Gloves - Charlie G.   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Style, Construction. Fit. & Price
    Cons: None

Great glove for money...Nice combination of materials without bulkOrder arrived in 4 days, and was actually better than expected. Read earlier reviews, and ordered the next larger size. That information was very helpful and eliminated having to return.I look forward to many comfortable cold weather rides.Thanks,C.G.

Excellent gloves, super warm, WATERPROOF - Matt Corrow   AR Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Excellent quality and fit. Warm, comfortable, waterproof, fits over my winter leather
Cons: 3m thinsulate liner is snug, may need to order 1 size up for thick fingers

First, let me start by saying that I don't normally trust in-house brands. Boy, was I wrong to make any assumption about these gloves. The leather is very supple and soft. There is external padding on the outer wrist and top of the hand, and a double-lined and double-stitched palm and pinky with additional padding on the knuckles. The gloves also feature reflective piping on the knuckles and the back of the hand, along with some expansion joints that really allow my hand to move freely. This was a very, very nice touch with a thicker winter glove and I appreciated it from the first ride.I've used some 'cheaper' gloves in the past and it seems that the cuff never fits over my leather jacket. These are an exception. I wear a thick leather jacket in the winter and the cuff of these gloves fits over with ease. There's a nice hook and loop strap to keep the glove in place as well.I can attest to the warmth and the fact that these gloves really do keep the water out, as it was raining and 40 degrees on my ride into work this morning. I could not be happier with these gloves and, at this price, these are way too good a deal to pass up. If you're looking for waterproof cold-weather gloves, these are an excellent choice and I don't think you'll come close to finding anything in the same price range that matches these, let alone beats them. Good job, Sliders

Good Fit, Good Warmth - Matt C   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Price, Sizing, comfort are good for Waterproof gloves
    Cons: only in black

insulation is substantial. leather is soft and still feels solid. very comfortable and kept my hands warm in 40 degree weather.

We cold weather gloves - Roadwarriorette   MA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Well made
Cons: Wish knuckles finger tops were hard shell

I have not tried these yet in cold or wet weathergot them in spring but they seem plenty warm and well made. I don't share others compliants about stiffness as I'm sure they will be fine after break in. Fingertips were a little long for me but expected as they are made for guys and are not clumsyproblematic for me.

Good for the price - 13VicVegas   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Warm. True to size
Cons: Finger tips are get in the way of controls.

I normally wear medium gloves, and they are true to size. my fingers go right to the end however these have excess material at the tip. I found my self having to make sure my fingers clear the levers when releasing the controls. They are snug in the wrist area with the Velcro lightener loosened up all the way. so anything too bulky will not fit well in the wrist area. For the price its well worth any of the cons.

Excellent Glove - Warren   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Warm and waterproof
Cons: stiff - takes some getting used to

These gloves do what they're supposed to do, and are a good fit. They are a bit stiff, and I am hoping that over time they will get more flexible. But definitely good value for the price.

Ready for Winter - Bob   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Warm and flexible
    Cons: Runs small

I ordered a size up and it fits great. Comfortable glove

Decent Value - John   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Price, Leather, Fit
Cons: Hands stay warm, but fingers still get cold

Nice gloves, all leather construction. Good fit with wrist strap. The gauntlet is plenty large enough to tuck your jacket into, but is bulky if trying to tuck inside a jacket. I would have preferred the Slider gloves with the wrist strap and gauntlet strap, but they were not available. Overall a decent value, plan to use for limited cooler weather rides.

a little stiff - fishcapt   NH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: good fit nice and warm
    Cons: a little stiff

nice gloves. just a little stiff.

Sliders Gloves - Reggie   MA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Good rain protection
Cons: A little tight in the fingers, but not prohibitively.

Snug and comfortable. These gloves provide excellent protection from the elements.

Nice gloves - Fortier   NH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fair Price, Seemingly good quality,
Cons: Gauntlet may be a bit tight for my tour master jacket

I haven't used them to ride yet as I live in NH and we are waiting for the snow to disappear. I did however use them to shovel and snow blow when the temp was in the teens and once in wet, wind driven snow. My hands stayed warm and dry. Four stars only because I have not riddenin the cold with them yet

worth the asking price but no more - gcx   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: price, leather, quality, waterproof
Cons: tight fit, stiff, not as warm as I thought they would be

These gloves do run a little small. Most of my gloves are XL with one pair in large. I took a chance and ordered XL. They are very tight in the sides. I started to return them for an XXL but the finger length is perfect and I didn't want to chance a larger size having excess material at the finger tips that would get in the way when I'm grabbing for levers. And as others have said these gloves are stiff. But I've never had a winter glove in this price range that wasn't. Living in Fl. the coldest I've rode with these gloves was about 35 degrees. They seemed warm at first but after about 20 minutes I could feel the cold seeping through. They could be an all day glove in temps above 45, if the the size was right. Final thought. These gloves are good for my 30 minute ride to work in Florida for the winter.

Coastal Gloves - Joe   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Good fit, flexible, warm
Cons: Not as warm as hoped. Size runs small

I really enjoy these gloves in upper 40's to 60 degree weather. The sizing runs small. I usually wear a large but took advice from previous reviews ordering an x-large which fit great. The gloves are excellent quality and a real value for the price. However, if you want to ride in 48 degree weather or below at speeds above 50 mph you will need a liner or heated gloves.

good product for price - Adi   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: overall good feel, good quality stiching,Kevlar
    Cons: a little bulky

These gloves seem designed for the cold weather in mind, with good padding and a waterproof lining, looking forward to wearing in the fall

Bargin for the - Mike K. NY   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Price was right, good fit, easy to work velcro strap
Cons: Stiff at first, needed to be broken in.

For the price good pair of gloves. A little stiff at first but after a few applications of leather conditioner waterproof they soften up. Rode a few times in 44 to 38 degree temps and after about 25 min fingers started to get a little cold. Haven't rode in the rain yet so they haven't been water tested. Hey for the price can't beat them

sliders kevlar gloves - kevin57   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: seem to be well made, warm, should provide good protection, I hope...
Cons: none really. very stiff cause they are new, should break in with time

This is my first pair of gauntlet type gloves. They expand well and I have no problem getting these over my jacket. They are warm, have ridden them in the spring in the adirondack mountains. The leather seems to be of good quality, although the tag inside states that the gloves are 50 leather and 50 nylon woven fabric. Hard to see which is which... There is some raised padding over the knuckles and upper back of the hand. Also the gloves have some reflective stripes which catch the light at night. My only gripe is that the gloves are quite stiff. I am sure they will soften up with use, but buyers should be aware of this issue. Overall I am pleased with them.

Sliders Coastal Leather Gloves - JimF   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Cost, appearance, protection
    Cons: Tight fit size XL

These are nice looking gloves. They had an attractive price for purchasing on a budget. They appear to be well made with good stitching and high quality materials. They were waterproof, at least for one fairly short exposure to a ride in the rain. The problem is in the sizing. I wear men's size XL in gloves. These were tight on my hands and fingers. That lead to cold hands in the 30-degree weather I was out in. The ride was in the rain. No water soaked through but the tight fit made the gloves uncomfortably cold. With a larger size they would be great.

disappointed - mpfrank   Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: warm, comfortable off the bike
    Cons: stiff

These gloves feel nice to put on, and the sizing is good I ordered one size larger, and they are warm, but they are so stiff that I can't comfortably grip the throttle and I have Grip Puppies installed. They are described as having Kevlar protection, but the Kevlar is only on the small piece between the thumb and first finger, not the whole palm. Also, the elastic on the wrist closure makes it hard to get the glove secure enough for me to feel confident about a crash in them.

Sliders - StreetStrom   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Cheap, good warmth
    Cons: Only fair fit

These are my back-up gloves. Good on cool days but the fit is only fair at best. You get what you pay for.

almost a good buy - mike   WA Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: nicely made
    Cons: Don't fit

I ordered these gloves in XL based on comments. The hand fit perfectly but the fingers were 1 too long I then ordered the L size and it squeezes my hand something fierce, and the fingers are still a little long.
