Sliders Jeans - Jess L   NV Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: The price is right.
    Cons: NA

My only complaint is Competition Accessories doesn't carry more available sizes. Especially when Competition Accessories claims that Slider Jeans are exclusive to them only

Quality jeans - Motor723   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Fit and Style
    Cons: Run large and long

I am very happy with the quality, fit and style of these jeans. Very comfortable and look great My new favorite riding pants They due run large around the waist and long on the legs so I ordered a size down from my normal size and they fit great. Highly recommend these pants

What I expected - Luv2RideBecky   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Protection comfort durability
Cons: Weight Knee Armor Pocket Need to purchase armor separately

Sliders makes a decent prodcut, as proven by these being the third pair I have purchased this year. They fit fairly true maybe a little snug, so I would recommend sizing one-up for comfort. Because of the heavy cotton outer and aramid kevlar lining, they are warm on hot days a small trade-off for the protection they provide. Since I ride ATGATT, I have these on most days I ride. They're comfortable, and they wear well.

Sliders Bootcut Ace - Mark   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Fit and Comfort
    Cons: [None]

These pants were a pleasant surprise. They fit well and have nice hip pads to help provide extra protection in addition to the kevlar sections. I usually wear leather, but these provide a nice option for short rides in the summer heat.

Great riding jeans. - Marlon L   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Fit and light weight.
    Cons: None so far.

My other riding jeans are just too hot in warm weather riding while these seem well made and protective while being much cooler to wear. While i normally order my riding pants a little longer than my normal jeans these seem to run long making my normal sizing work well.Overall a great value

Great Jeans - EricAtl   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: [None]
    Cons: [None]

I love the way these jeans fit and look. No one could tell that these are motorcycle riding jeans they look great. Unfortunately, I had an incident where I was hit from behind and the side on the interstate highway. I slid for about 40 to 60 feet at least. These jeans saved my butt and hip literally The hip pads saved me from injury when I landed on my side and all the EMS, Firemen, Police and ER staff said that if it wasn't for my gear I would be in really bad shape. The kevlar did it's job and I have NO road rash on my legs or butt, except on my leg where the car hit me. I've already purchased another pair. I HIGHLY recommend these jeans.

great buy - kevin cave   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: everything about them
    Cons: none

i have been buying Kevlar jeans for years. This pair of Sliders is the best ever. The feel is exceptional. The fit is perfect. They are more comfortable than any pants i own, Kevlar or not. My last Sliders lasted 10 years, i expect this pair will do the same..

best deal out there - Dennis   MI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: comfortable, good looking
Cons: knee pad holders could use a re-design

Best deal on denim riding jeans, I normally wear a 40x36 jean and that is what I ordered. These fit me a tad loose but that was what I was looking for. Overall pretty comfortable. I purchased D3O Knee Armor to use with these and they do not fit in the sleeves to well. Other than that I like the jeans.

bootcut - norman   MS Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: comfortable, does not look like riding jeans.
Cons: could have went a size smaller in waist lenth good. but i wear a belt

i would buy another pair. good buy for money

Sliders Boot Cut - Silverfox   AZ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good Value, great on coler days
Cons: Can warm on hot days

I have purchased 4 pairs of Sliders 2 regular 1 Brown Cargo and now the Boot Cut, The Ace boot cut has thicker padding on the hips but the Kevlar does not run the length of the leg as it does on the regular and the seat padding does not appear to be as thick. Overall feel lighter jeans than the regular, which could be a good thing on hotter 80F days. The rise is slightly lower in the crotch . I typically wear a 38 waist and bought the 36 fits tight but OK seems to fit a touch tighter than the regular SLIDERS. The legs are long and drag on the ground when walking but are good when riding the bike. I had all of my other Jeans shortened and even so wore the back of the hem, making the jeans shabby thus the new pair. I would recommend not shortening them and just rolling them up when walking because longer is better when riding with your feet on the HWY pegs

Second pair - Dougathon   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great look great fit great protection
    Cons: None

This is my second pair of sliders. You can't beat the look fit or construction of these pants. I ordered another brand from amazon think that most kevlar jeans would be the same that certainly was not the case. I returned the immediately and ordered my sliders. They are better in every category, and they are the most comfortable riding leans out. I bought a pair of Bella's for my wife too.

Great protection, great price, great style - Zach   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Look and feel like regular jeans. Great price, good protection
Cons: None-had a good slide - protected my legs great

Perfect to be protected, but be able to socialize and no one knows all the protection I'm wearing. Comparing prices, they are at least half the price of less quality jeans. Got the black last fall. Mom got the blue for Christmas present. Have blood clots in my legs from blood disorder and am on blood thinner. Would not ever drive without leg protection. Can add more padding for longer trips. Very comfortable. Will continue to purchase some spares and if they would come out with a stone wash.Had a little slide-bad leg was not injured. Even with my condition, I still want to ride bike and my mom feels better when I wear these on warm days when my full gear is too hot Highly recommend- no need to spend hundreds for a pair of jeans. Great service- came in two days

Great Jeans - JBEIV   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Comfortable, well made,
    Cons: [None]

I bought a pair of these Kevlar lined jeans last year just to try them out. I have 4 now, and my wife has three. I guess that says about everything. They are very comfortable and extremely well made. I think they are intentionally cut long to stay over your boots while ridingtoo long. I had to order mine two inches shorter than my normal inseam and the length is just right when Im seated on by bike.

Excellent - Hobo Monty   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Lightweight but sturdy fabric, great looking, a cut above standard denim
    Cons: None

I was pleasantly surprised by how good looking the fabric was, no problems wearing them in an establishment that forbids jeans. They are less bulky than the cargo style sliders, but I love both pairs. The fit was a little generous in the waist but better a little big than a little tight. I ordered my regular pant size.

Sliders bootcut - J.B.   TN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good Fit - Good color
    Cons: [None]

I have a pair of regular sliders jeans that I have really liked for about 4 years. They are great, but a little too baggy for my liking. I tried a pair of the boot cut and really like those better. They fit nicer, but are still just as comfortable to ride in as the 'relaxed fit' of the older pair. Doesn't seem to matter the temp. either, they are nice. Ride in 60 degrees and they are comfortable. Ride in 95 degrees and they are still comfortable. The only thing that took any getting used to was the hip side padding, but just feels like something is in your pocket and then you forget it and away you go. Don't know how they would protect in a crash and don't want too, but I sure they would do better than jeans alone.

Great Product - sotxd   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Lots of Kevlar, Well Constructed
Cons: Legs are kind of big

If you just have to ride in jeans, these are great. These pants are well constructed and have plenty of Kevlar. They look like regular jeans, they don't look like I'm wearing some kind of fashion jeans for women like so many of the other motorcycle pants out there. They are a bit warm standing still, but you have to expect that due to the layers of Kevlar.I wear 3334 in jeans and ordered the 3432 in these pants. I could probably wear the 3232, but the legs were plenty long and the waist fit fine with a belt. The legs on these pants are pretty large. Lots of room if you need it. I do wish they were cut a little slimmer.I ordered the knee armor, but don't like the way it sits. It doesn't stay in place very well, but I guess it's better than nothing. I won't use it, I'll keep using my old knee armor I wear under my jeans now.A couple of guys at work we all ride are now thinking about getting a pair of these after seeing mine.Overall, they're the best motorcycle jeans all around that I've found and will be buying another pair in a month or two.

True To Size... - TinCupChalice   MI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: [None]
    Cons: [None]

High quality, fit true to size. I wear 32 - 34 jeans, ordered 32-34 and the fit is exactly right. I also wear Knox knee armor, no problems with the armor under the riding jeans. These jeans are holding their color through many a washing. They're so good I ordered a second pair

Great riding pants - DsBeehive   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Look like jeans
Cons: Inner liner can get velcro caught up in laundry

I have many pairs of Sliders, and have been wearing them for years. Size is now accurate not 2 larger in waist than published. The full inner liner that supports the kevlar and the armor is no longer sewn through to the exterior. It is hard to tell these are motorcycle jeans, and I can wear them anywhere I would wear a normal pair of jeans. Great improvement

Good fit - Pancha   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Good Fit
    Cons: none

Bought these for the hubby. These are true to size. Originally ordered 36x32 but these were to long. Error on my part, I thought he was taller. He's actually a 36x30 and they fit much better. We didn't need the extra slack since he already wears boots when he rides. I opted to do a return on the first pair and just reordered the right ones. They suggest we do this instead of an exchange. Had no problems returning the first pair and receiving a refund. simple and no nonsense. I think this will be my go to store for shopping for bike gear.

Incident rather than accident - stevel   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: great coverage all around, stands up to freeway slides
    Cons: [None]

After being clipped by a car on my way to work I was told in the emergency room today that your gear saved your life. I can't think of a better reason to use all the gear all the time and Sliders have been a part of that gear for the last several years. I am purchasing these pants today to replace the ones that ended up with just a small tear and abrasions on the right pant leg after skidding a good 50 - 75 feet on a local freeway. I am sore and scratched but Sliders jeans are one reason why I consider myself lucky today.

Great Jean - Oscar Nelsen   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Fit, comfort
Cons: Hip padding infringes on phone in pocket. Big woop

Loose fit all around, but order your regular street pantaloon size. Perfect motorcycle fit. There's a little extra in the waist and a good 2 inches in the length. My 3432 are really 34.534. Exchanged a Slider 4.0 that did not fit for a second pair of these.

sliders riding jeans - marg6   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: have bought other more expenssve jeans, these are way better,
    Cons: none

I have 3 other pairs of riding, they where too big or too small, padding did not fit right. sliders where perfect, ordered size just a little big but good for riding, length was a tad long hemmed up and was good to go. great for riding all day comfort, look good. will be buying another soon. and i highly recommend these jeans, and competition accessories to all. Many Thanks.

JC in NC - Best riding jeans   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, Lotsa kevlar, look like regular jeans, price, armor
    Cons: Itchy velcro

I've been through lots of riding jeans since I started riding 16 years ago. I always preferred the look of jeans on a bike, but also wanted the protection motorcycle specific gear provides. The biggest drawback of every pair of riding jeans was the look. They just looked, well, weird. The odd stitching on the outside that holds the kevlar in place or the style of denim used kept me from wanting to wear them more often. Not so with the Sliders Ace jeans. They actually look like regular jeans. No exterior stitching and they really are comfortable on and off the bike. The kevlar is applied generously throughout the impact zones and hip pads are even included. They're just foam pads, but are a welcome safety feature. The knees include adjustable pockets for armor. This brings up the one negative and that's the velcro that keeps the armor in place can be a little itchy on my legs. Not the end of the world, but definitely noticeable at times. Finally sizing is pretty spot on for me. I wear 36x32 pants and these fit perfect. I'd say the inseam is a hair longer but that's what you want on the bike. They're not long enough to drag on my shoes when walking either. When I add knee armor though, they do ride up a bit too much. For the money these are the best riding jeans on the market - period.

Great riding jeans - spack02   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: value

This is my 2nd pair of slider jeans, and I bought another pair for my brother who loves them. Like others have mentioned.... pay attention to sizing when ordering. Highly recommended

    Cons: [None]

Feels good, good fit, I feel confident and comfortable riding.

Overall impressed - Rafael V.   GA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Price, will work great for summer
Cons: Cannot remove hip pads should you want to wear improved armor no light colors available

Fits true to size and I probably could also fit comfortably 1 size up with a belt. I'm 510 about 210 lbs and ordered the 3632. Not really ideal if you were planning on wearing a set of armored shorts underneath since it does already come with a somewhat thin pad to protect the hip area. They are relaxednot baggy around the thigh area. My order came with free knee armor but I plan on wearing a set of Dainese CE level 2 kneeshin guards strapped underneath which wears comfortably. I'm not going to bother to get them hemmed although they are a tad too long. Overall I am very please with the price. Just wish they offered these jeans in a light blue color.

Slider Boot Cut Ace Riding Jeans - WK   CT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Waist size true to fit, addition of hip pads
    Cons: Way too long

Read the reviews and bought my actual waist size 34 which was spot on however the length 32 was way too long. Rather then send them back, my wife shortened the length to the right size for me. Like the added hip pads as well This is my second pair of sliders. Will continue to buy when I need a new pair.Typical great turn around from order to receiving from Competition Accessories.

Sliders Bootcut - JoeD   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great styling, true to fit size, not heavy, good for summer riding.
    Cons: None

Very comfortable jeans, at a great price. The waist size was true to regular jeans I wear. The length was a little longer, but that okay when riding to cover more boot in the riding position. I plan to buy more of these jeans.

Great Jeans - Paul W   NJ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Quality, good sizing, good looks, in a fair price.
Cons: None that I know of

I've owned the original Sliders 4.0 jeans for a while... love them but recently lost weight and was looking to cut down on the 'bagginess' a little.Ordered the Sliders bootcut ace jeans and am extremely happy with them so far. They're less baggy than the 4.0's... but by no means 'slimfit' or overly tight. I'd say the waist size is pretty close to what you'd normally wear. Length is a little long but that's so they don't ride up and expose your lower legs on a bike.Quality seems up to par, lots of Kevlar, and these even have some thin hip pads in them which in my opinion is GREAT since your hip is a vulnerable spot god forbid you went down.Keep up the good work CompACC

Excellent - mpfrank   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Fit, looks, armor
    Cons: knee armor see review

First, I am very happy with these jeans. They are a major improvement from the baggy previous version and they fit my 5'11 170 lb frame perfectly. I ordered my regular waist size 34 and went down a size in the length 30. I also appreciate the inclusion of the hip pads. I took advantage of the free knee armor offer and I am not happy with what I received, however. Instead of the Sliders Optional CE Approved Knee Armor httpwww.compacc.compsliders-4-0-kevlar-motorcycle-riding-jeans-optional-c-e-armor I received much smaller shoulder armor which really do not do the trick. So I will have to get knee armor anyway.

Fit Great with adjusted length - RussK   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Look like jeans. Comfortable.
Cons: Taking pads in and out is a challenge.

Read the reviews before I ordered. Glad I did. They run long I am a 4032 guy and I ordered the 4030 and they fit well. Probably still a 34 length but this works well on the bike and not terrible when wearing boots for length. I like the feel of the material and the stitching looks good. Pads in knees are a challenge but not a deal breaker for me. I am ordering another pair soon.

Nice jeans - Cariocano   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Good fit
    Cons: Pricey

These jeans fit well ordered my normal size and look good. A little warmer than regular jeans, but hopefully a lot more protection. I'm thinking about a second pair.

Just the ticket - Doc   VT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fit is great, not all baggy like my old riding jeans
    Cons: none so far

Great fit compared to regular Sliders. Comfortable right out of the package. I will be ordering the optional knee armor soon, might as well make them as protective as possible

Boot cut Sliders - MrSki2   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Size
    Cons: I didn't buy two...

After a month of research and multiple choices I finally settled on these. I was mainly concerned about size. I ordered my actual pants size and they are perfect. I could not be happier. No seams in the knee area Look amazing They do run a little on the baggy side but that was welcome since when you are on the bike the knee armor flexes and this leaves you some adjustment room. I installed Forcefield Upgrade Performance Armor sold separately and it fit nice and snug in the provided knee pockets. Jeans are heavier than regular jeans. Hip pads are included however i would recommend replacing them in the future to some CE certified pads. I hope to never test them, and I am glad I have them just in case. Buy them you wont regret it.

Sliders Boot Cut & Knee Armor - Stan - McHenry, IL   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fit, Feel, Protection, Peace of Mind
    Cons: None

I am very pleased with the jeans, Hip padding nice surprise. Knee Armor purchased separately feels good when riding, and stays in place. For the price you cannot go wrong. I hope to never have to test the kevlar & armor but its really nice to know you have it. Thanks Sliders

A Miller - A Miller   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Value, construction, usable pockets, included hip pads
Cons: Runs big and a little too baggy for me, short zipper

I am a bigger guy and wear a 38-40 depending on the pant, ordered a 38 and its measures a 40, I am hopping it shrinks a bit. I also ordered a 32 inseam and I should have ordered a 30, I will have them hemmed wanted them long so I could adjust as needed.Overall great jean, pockets can be used and there is plenty of movement for us bigger guys I tried a set of Draco Drifts, lets just say I would not be able to have kids if I wore them. Also tried the knee pads, they fit the pants great and stay in place were I need them. unfortunately I can't wear them on my Superduke as its uncomfortable against the tank, on the dual sport they are great.Would buy again.

Slider Jeans - La Victory Rider   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Nice Fit
Cons: Front pockets could be a bit bigger.

This is the third pair of Sliders I have purchased, The first two shrunk, so I had to get a bigger size. Just kidding. They didn't shrink. I put on some weight and needed a larger size. They are all a great bargain.

Slider review - Dave   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Tough, pretty good fitting comfortable pants. Available in black.
    Cons: Slightly baggy, but comfortable.

I wear these pants almost exclusively year round. Fit is correct and I find them very comfortable.

Actually decent jeans - Enrique R.   GA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Light weight denim, waist true to size, usable pockets
    Cons: Light weight denim

First pair of motorcycle specific jeans. Like a lot of people when I'm just running around town I'll throw on a pair of jeans. After some searching I decided to try the Sliders brand. For the features I find that the price is highly competitive. The Kevlar lining extends down almost to the bottom of my quads. With the optional knee armor which I purchased and a good pair of boots your legs are pretty well covered. In addition the pants have foam removable hip pads. After reading the reviews and taking into account my body build I ordered one size up. I think I could have ordered my normal size and been fine. On that note, I had read that the pants were long in length. I ordered the 32 inseam and when the pants arrived they were on the floor. Measuring I found that they were actually a 36 inseam though they were tagged a 32. Better long than short and an easy fix. The denim itself is a dark blue and fairly lightweight. This is why I marked it as a Pro and Con. Lightweight armored jeans in summer is good, once the temperature drops not so much. Since I ordered a size up I have enough room for a pair of thermals. They are well constructed and I couldn't find any manufacturing imperfections. I hope like all riders to never have to find out how well they work but in that eventuality I feel more safe than wearing regular jeans.

Good Value - MikeN NC   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great protection at an unbeatable price
Cons: Seems to run large, had to exchange for a smaller size.

I'm 5'08 and 230Lbs. I usually wear a size 40X30 jeans. After reading the reviews for the regular cut SLIDERS RIDING JEANS I knew they would be too baggy for my taste. When I saw they came in Boot Cut I ordered my usual size. The 40X30 was about a waist size to big and like other motorcycle pants, were very long. I exchanged them for a 38X30 and the waist size was much better. They are a bit baggy and still a little long. I had ordered the CE Knee Armor to fill the knee pockets. Nowhere in the description did it say they came with knee pads. The ones that came in the jeans were smaller and thinner than the knee pads I added to my order. The adjustment for knee pad height was far better than other MC pants I own and I was able to get them just right. These are just as comfortable as regular jeans but the Kevlar does make them a bit hotter. These have the protection I was looking for and I look like I'm just wearing a regular pair of jeans. Great Price

Boot Cut Sliders - Dave E.   VT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: good quailty
    Cons: to long

I first ordered the 440's the fit was not even close, I even followed the fit directions. so I exchanged them for the Boot Cut, I still had to exchange them for a size smaller. I called and talked with the store, They were GREAT and helped a lot. My only suggestion is to offer a shorter length.. I have short legs and the 30 is to long. So I had to have them altered. The other issues it ended up costing me far more because of the return shipping,,, that's the problem with internet ordering.. But now I have the size I have ordered more.

Good riding jeans - sgttom   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Protection, comfortable, priced right
Cons: No stone washed blue, the blue is a rich indigo

Been wearing these jeans a month and a half now, they are pretty nice. I have riding jeans from other brands and wanted a pair of Sliders. I'd say that sizing is pretty true, I'm 5'10 160lbs and got the 32x32 use a belt. These jeans are worn by themselves and as overpants. I haven't placed knee protection into the pockets yet, that would be a big plus.My minor beef is the color - it's really darker than in the picture which to me looks more like a Levi's blue. It's been washed only one time so far the day it arrived, and the water was bluey so maybe a few more washings would tame it out Aside from the color discrepancy, I do like these Sliders.

Cons: Walking around with the knee pands inplace feels a bit odd.

Wanted a pair of riding pants and thought I would take a chance on the Sliders Boot Cut Jeans after reading a couple reviews. They were delivered promptly and looked as I expected. I have a 30 inseam and 34 waist and the fit is right on target. I ordered the knee pads and while it took a couple minutes to figure out how to insert them it was not all that difficult. Overall I am satisfied and have recommended them to a couple of my friends.J

Another Winner - Freedom45   AZ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Improved fit, reasonable price, excellent protection
Cons: Needs more belt loops or wider ones

The Boot Cut jeans improved the Slider series by decreasing some of the baggy aspects of the earlier iterations of which I have two. The baggy aspect of the earlier ones is gone while the comfort level remains. They don't bunch up and still offer day long comfort. As noted I feel the entire series would benefit from wider or added belt loops but that is my sole criticism. My first pair began to fray at the hem so I decided to do my own test of the kevlar liners by placing several bags of lead over the kevlar portion and dragging the jeans on asphalt at 40mph for 100yards. The results were impressive enough to confirm my choice. The outside denim was worn through but the kevlar remain intact. IMO these are comfortable alternatives to leather and offer reasonable protection at a reasonable price.

    Pros: Added proctection, flexibility.
Cons: A bit short if you add the knee protection when riding.

After riding several times with these Jeans using the added armor on the knees, I would have liked to order them a bit longer 32 instead of 30 because the added armor to the knees tend to cause the jeans to rise up a bit, which cause the end of the jeans to be over my ankles while riding. Other than that, the jeans are well constructed and fit well and have the kevlar too..

    Pros: Stylish, comfortable, protective
    Cons: none

These jeans fit great. I am a 3232 and picked up size 34 waist in these and with a belt they fit perfect Flipping them inside out there is a very good amount of padding and Kevlar in all the key areas. I put on regular jeans now and they feel like gym pants compared to these. Wear these out in public and they never stand out as a riding pant which I personally like. They fit over full race boots great and remain comfortable on 500 mile rides.

Pros: Very soft, good looking, wear anywhere jeans
    Cons: Haven't found any yet

Gotta admit, I'm still taken aback at the price of motorcycle apparel. But, EVERYTIME I make a purchase I see why we pay the price of riding safely. It's called quality.I love these jeans. Very comfortable. I like the length being a little long so they don't ride up my boots as I'm going down the road. I read the reviews in here before ordering and got the fit just right the first time. I normally wear a 33 X 34 so ordered a 32 X 34. The length is just a tad long but I like it like the room. Having the pocket to put my knee armour in is a plus. Being a long distance lover, I like ATGATT. These will go good with any jacket

    Pros: overall good fit
Cons: built somewhat like the old hip hugger' jeans

Having not slid down the pavement hope I never will, I can't really give a review about how they work. But they do fit well. I have a 33 waist, bought the 34s, and they fit well. The length is spot on.They are made a bit in the low rider or hip hugger fashion, but I got a 34 length armored jacket to go with them, and always tuck in my shirt, so plumber butt will be minimized. I got these because summers are hot here and even though I see a lot of leather riding around, I personally, don't want to get that hot. When they are on, they look real good.

Pros: Relaxed fit, holds up to washing machine, value priced
Cons: Wish the fabric was 14-15oz

I have owned all the different versions of slider jeans and each year has been an improvement. I like the room relaxed to the max. They hold up to the laundry room and have graduallly become more classic jean looking. Color has improved and approached main stream norms. This latest version fit me well 6' 240 lbs and doesn't bind when you ride and during mount and dismount.

Have several others that I ride with have all commented on the quality, fit and look. These are great and I would HIGHLY recommend they for anyone.

Great Jeans - JBE4   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Good fit, extremely comfortable
    Cons: None

These have to be some of the most comfortable jeans I have ever worn. The denim has a little stretch to it, which makes riding in them a dream. Other than the fact that they are hand wash, air dry only, I'd say they were the perfect riding jeans. The waist is just slightly larger than regular blue jeans, and the length is about 2 longer. Mine fit fine the boot cut doesn't let them drag but I will probable order the next shorter length next time.

so comfortable - river   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: comfortable, light, straight legs, don't flare out, no seams on the front.
Cons: don't like the shape of rear pockets.

Sizing wise I'd go by the suggestions given in the regular sliders video. I bought a 34 30, I usually wear a 33 30, the waist seems 2 inches too wide and an inch or so too long, maybe after I wash it, it'll fit better. It's a slim fit, my thighs are a bit bigger then normal because I weight lift and these aren't snug but close too it. The knee pad pockets have small openings so you have to fold the pads to get them in which creates a nice fit. There are pockets for hip pads as well. The only thing I dislike about them are the rear pocket shape, I wish they'd use the pockets on the original jeans without the design.

Great fit - J Walma   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: fit good
    Cons: heavy

Day one out of the box, they fit well and are comfortable while riding and walking. I'm 6'3 riding a Monster 1100EVO and I did not feel like there was any bunching behind the knee nor were they excessively tight in the thigh not pinching while sitting. Construction looks to be sturdy and there seems to be lots of protection where it will matter most but I would rather leave that to an educated guess and not have to actually test them. They are heavy and will probably get a little warm in the San Diego summer but that is to be expected, there are two layers of fiber to protect you in the event of an accident. Riding on a 75 degree day was fine not too hot at all, long stops can get a little warm but not unbearable though.Bottom line, good value and peace of mind. I will probably be ordering another pair just to have two.

not bad - one2brew   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: hidden road rash protection
    Cons: [None]

These jeans are roomy without being too baggy. They're definitely made to fit over your boots, but the legs flare out all the way up. If you've got tree-trunk thighs or cankles, these jeans will be great for you. The denim portion is a little thin, which is good for warmer weather riding. The interior pockets for optional knee pads are accessed with velcro, which is slightly exposed to the skin and becomes a little irritating after a while. I bought 2 pair and they both do this, but it's not a deal breaker.

Sliders Ace Jeans - dieselmann   OR Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Protection coverage cooler on warm days
    Cons: Odd cut knee pockets

I have been looking at riding jeans for a while now, looking for something to replace Wranglers and chaps on warm summer days. I've been holding off due to so many reviews stating incorrect fit of different products. For me, the sizing was correct and the same as my normal jeans size. The Kevlar offers pretty good coverage on the skid areas. The denim seems light, but I wanted something cooler, but the Kevlar adds to the total weight of the jeans. These look like they work out fine for me, and can work with what I don't like about themI normally wear 3434s when I ride, which give good coverage while seated on the bike and allow room to tuck in a shirt if I need to. The Sliders Ace jeans actually match as far as waist and inseam go. However, the rise from the crotch to the waist is about two inches higher than my Five-Star and Cowboy-Cut Wranglers, which makes them two inches longer overall. What this means is, to have the leg length correct, the waistband has to be above the hips. When the jeans ride down on the hips, then the legs are too long and the crotch hangs low like on relaxed fit jeans. It's not that big a deal, except if you pull the jeans all the way up, then the fly doesn't open far enough. As far as the knee armor pockets, since the Sliders knee armor was unavailable, I picked up a pair of Icons. The pads dropping down off the bike doesn't bother me as much and the pads not staying centered on my knee while riding. It's probably due to the bagginess of the legs more than the pockets themselves, because the pads seem to stay in place in the pocket well enough.

Much better fit than the 4.0 jeans - tomc   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fit is much more true to size
Cons: The fit is not quite right for me

This is my second pair of sliders. I started with the 4.0 jeans ordered a size smaller at 34x34. I ordered these jeans at 36x34. The Bootcut fits much better. They include hip protectors and nice coverage area of kevlar. I would buy these again, but definitely not the 4.0. The legs in these are still a little baggy, but I feel more confident that the knee protector will stay in place if I did go down. The cons... The cut is still not quite right. The zipper could use another inch or two added to it, and the knee pockes seem a bit high on the jeans to me. They would work in a fall, but are not comfortable for walking around.

Riding Jeans - Scrambleguy   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: lots of Kevlar and hip pads
Cons: need to buy knee armor and pretty hot on a warm day

I really like these jeans. I feel protected. I have three pair of the Sliders cargo pants and love them but I lost weight and they are too big. These fit a little big for the size but I just cinch up the belt. The length is spot on and I like the hip pads. These are not track pants put they give good protection. I went down last year with the cargo pants on and no road rash. They didn't prevent a broken leg though. lol They look good and are comfortable when riding. On a hot day they can be warm if sitting in traffic or standing around but then again you should be riding so mute point.

Sliders Bootcut Riding jeans run large. - Jstar01   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Nice looking jeans.
Cons: The sizing runs extra large.

I ordered my true size which is a 34x32. When I received them they looked really big but I figured they will shrink a little. I sometimes have to wash brand new jeans in hot water and dry them on high temperature to get them to fit properly. I figured I would have to do the same with the Sliders Bootcut. The Sliders Bootcut did shrink but unfortunately are still big on me. Length wise they are a little long. They don't drag on the ground while walking and are fine while riding, but to me they are to long. Waist size they are a little too big as well. I have to have my belt on the tightest sizing to keep the Sliders on. The leg room is a little too wide for me. I am recommending this product only if you get the correct size, they run big.

These are good jeans for their price point. The dark blue doesn't really look like jean material, but it is close. I ordered my normal jean size and while the fit is ok, the stretch in the fabric makes me think they are too big. I am hoping after a wash that they will fit a little tighter.

Pros: Good fit when properly sized well made
Cons: mismarked sizes knee pads take time to install properly

I ordered a 36x30 which were way too big, I send them back for a 34x30 exchange and got them very quickly no charge. they fit great. I think that the first pair were mismarked were actually a 38 waist since there was about 4 too big. Usually a 36 is loose and a 34 is snug.. the 34 on these is perfect since they have a stretch band in the waste. It does take some patience to put the optional knee pads in at the proper place in the leg pockets, The pockets have multiple velcro closures so the will stay in place at different heights. Well made and don't look baggy..

Great for the price - RT   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Price, hip pads, good Kevlar coverage
    Cons: Knee armor pockets position

I already own a pair of regular sliders jeans and two pairs of the cargo pants and decided to try these. The fit is a little off. I wear 34x34 in Levi's which fit great. In these 34x34 are loose in the waist, they fit more like a pair of 35x34 Levi's I own. Better than the original sliders jeans though, in those I wear a 32x34. Like all the sliders I own the knee armor pockets are lacking. The up and down adjustments are fine but the side to side not so much. The armor shifts to the inside of the knee when wearing. If the pockets started right on the outer seam they would be good. I found some 6x8 pads online which work better than the armor I bought with the first pair of sliders I got. Another nikpik I have is the mesh on the back of the leg. My heal catches when taking them off. On the positive side the price is excellent compared to other Kevlar lined pants on the market. The Kevlar coverage is good. I also like that hip pads are included. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

Pros: nice fit, look good, mucho kevlar, good price
Cons: knee pads slip out of pocket

I bought these after wearing the original Sliders jeans for a few years. These have the look and feel of regular jeans and I can wear them when I go out and look somewhat normal. Couldn't do that with the original Sliders jeans. I also got the Sliders CE knee pads for these jeans. The knee pocket opens from the bottom and are held in place by 3 velcro strips. Unfortunately, the pointed end of the knee pads slowly worked their way down thru the velcro strips and fell out the first few times I wore them. I now take the time to firmly press the velcro together and adjust the knee pads every chance I get. The sizes seem to run a bit larger than normal jeans. I wear 33X30 in Levis so I ordered 32X30 and they fit just fine. All in all, a really good pair of jeans at a good price.

Great quality but the sizing... - Skootz   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well made, good protection, no skimping on the kevlar, machine washable
    Cons: the sizing...

These are great jeans but the sizing is whacked. The size 34x32 I ordered were in reality 36x34. Exchanged those and same deal with the second pair. Those I washed to try and shrink but no luck so I sold them. I did like the pants though so ended up ordering a pair of 32x30 which are really 34x32 so now fit great. The cut is more relaxed than a true boot cut but I find them comfortable to ride in so that works for me.IMO these are good quality jeans strong denim, lots of kevlar front and back, hip padding, pockets for knee armor, and appear to be very solidly made it's just that the manufacturers listed sizing is completely messed up.I also like that they are machine washable and don't shrink any more than a regular pari of jeans. Easy to care for. 4 Stars. Would be 5 if not for the sizing issue.Hope this helps any buyers. Cheers.

Nice Riding Jeans - Bad Armor Fit - Michael   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Nice fitting, sturdy riding jeans
Cons: Poor design of knee armor pocket

I always ride with gear. These jeans were a nice replacement for a worn pair of other riding jeans. They appear to be well made, no sloppy seams. The fit is close to true, maybe a little bigger than the stated size.My only complaint is the design of the pocket for the optional knee armor. It's a mesh pocket with velcro at the top and bottom to allow for shifting the armor to a desired position. Problem is, when riding the tension from your knee is probably pushing the armor against the closure, eventually pushing it open. A few days of riding with the jeans I put them on and found one pad missing. I figured I failed to secure it properly. I took a knee armor pad from my old riding pants as a substitute. But a couple of weeks later while putting them on, a knee pad fell to the floor. I have since checked them often and they require regularly require repositioning and resecuring. Another issue - a customer service contact us form that I submitted when the first pad went missing was NEVER responded to.

Pros: close to real jeans in fit
Cons: delicate pocket for knee guards

These fit well considering the kevlar lining. I use suspenders because the jeans are on the heavy side and are a generously cut in the waist--a comfort advantage, I think. My only criticism is the adjustable pocket for knee armor--mine ripped a bit the first time I separated the velcro on one pair.. The pocket is still functional, but I'm skeptical about its durability. Still, that's an easy repair, and I like the look and fit of the jeans, as well as their price. I got two pairs--blue and black--and like the black best.

Good Pants - Tom   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good quality workmanship and great fit around waist
Cons: Inseam slightly too long. Zipper on fly is way too short, should extend 2 - 3 inches longer

Overall I'm glad I got these. Kevlar covers me well and the foam hip armor is not bulky. I bought the optional CE knee armor and was able to position them in the built-in pockets for a good placement. The stitching doesn't seem as durable as with Levy's but otherwise the materials seem fine.I hadn't heard about the fly zipper length, maybe I'm 'special', but the zipper really should be much longer.Others wrote abut the long inseams and I agree the pants are too long compared to my regular jeans. While on the bike and with riding boots this isn't an issue, but I'm going to get a size 2 inches shorter when I order my next pair, which is almost a certainty.

I normally wear a 40x32 relaxed fit wangler jean. I ordered a 38x32 due to reviews saying they run big. The 38 fit me perfectly but I should have gone with 30 inseam. These run 2.5 longer than my normal 32 inseamed jeans and about 1.5 bigger on the waist. Other than this detail I LOVE them. They wear good, fit right, and provide me the level of safety I am looking for the at least I will keep my skin protection vs full leather with armor for normal riding days. I wish I could say that I would wear full leathers when running to the store on a 110 degree day, but I know it wont happen. I feel these will keep me much safer than fashion jeans. I do not plan on wearing knee pads and wish there was an option to get them without the knee pockets. Great value for the normal rider.

    Cons: kind of baggy

A good pair of riding jeans with subtle styling. Especially appreciate the hidden knee armor pocket most riding jeans have a telltale horizontal stitch line at the knee where the armor pocket was sewn in. For all that, these jeans are fairly baggy. In terms of Levi's, these fit and look like the Levi 569 loose but have the boot-cut feature of the 517 and 527.

Good, Not Great - DeadRun   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Roomy, Comfortable
Cons: Not enough Kevlar, inferior denim

I actually wear the Bootcut Ace Slider jeans quite often. They are much roomier than my leather pants which are sized larger. But I wear padded compression pants under them. So, I do not think that they have enough padded areas and do not have enough kevlar. The denim used in them is not as good as the denim used in the Sliders 4.0 jeans. They do fit slightly slimmer than the 4.0 jeans. As a result my Slider 4.0 jeans are relegated to the really cold days when something significantly warm will be under them. They run really long about 2 inches which is great when seated on the bike, but you should know this before ordering. So overall, I like them and have purchased them again. So, I think they are a reasonable bargain in they kevlar jeans market.

These jeans are much more normal looking than the older baggy version, which now look completely out of style. Like the baggy version, the boot cut is also about 2 sizes too big. I ordered the 34 waist and it fits just like my 36 Levi's. The boot cut fit is still rather baggy, especially in the legs, but it's not that bad. The only other gripe is the color. I like my jeans a lot lighter in color. These are a true indigo blue, which means that they are nearly black. The quality of the stitches and denim itself is great. I expect that they will last several years.

The only other pants I have found are Carharts but they are just too hot for summer riding. As far as quality and durability goes don't have enough time wearing them to make a comment. I've read the other reviews an decided to order a pair for my son who just started riding. He is 5'7- 180 lbs, his jeans and cargo pants are 3630 and fit nicely. I ordered him a pair of 36-32's and they are not even close to his size. I tried them on 6'1 and 230lbs, they fit me perfect with plenty of extra room in the waist and the length was just right for riding maybe an inch longer than you would wear a regular pair of jeans. I'm a 3832 and they are usually just barely long enough when I've found them I buy 3833. I wish I really wore 36's. Either the manufacturers sizing has recently changed or we got a mislabeled pair. I am reordering a pair of 3430's in hopes they will fit him. Can't say enough for the quality and protection these jeans offer over a regular pair of pants. I have several kinds of riding jeanscargo pants and am thinking of keeping these as they are comfortable and well made.

These caught my eye because they're cut like regular Wranglers or Levis. Seems like this type of riding jeans have only been available in the baggy style and that just is not my style. So okay, these run true to size, maybe a little bit on the large side, but still, if you're a 36 waist, order a 36 waist. I did end up having the inseam taken up by an inch, because they were just about that much too long for my taste. Will probably wear these about 9 or 10 months out of the year. Here in San Antonio, you can feel that extra layer of protection when you walk out into the heat. But still, glad I bought them.

Nice Jeans - MTS-1100s-JI   ME Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good fit, size is accurate, comfortable, not too hot on warm days,
Cons: very minor stitching flaws, nothing structural, just a different thread color in one spot

Very nice jeans, look good when off the bike as well...

Normal looking comfortable jeans - Doug M   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Soft, comfortable, good fit
Cons: Waist is low, knee armor pouch needs work

My regular jeans are 38x32 and that is what I ordered in the Sliders Boot Cut jeans. Waist is perfect, length is a bit too long without shoes but perfect with boots in the riding position - they fully cover the top of boots . Jeans are very soft, comfortable, and look like regular jeans. Waist is a bit low, would feel better if higher. I also ordered the optional knee armor. Armor is as expected, but the pouch inside the legs needs some work. It is a mesh pouch with an opening on bottom end to insert the armor. There is then a long strip of velcro so you can variably adjust the pouch upwards towards knee. My problem is the pouch needs to go a little higher than the pouch allows for to get a proper fit on the knee. And the armor tends to want to go to the inside of each leg. If you fiddle around with it once you're in the riding position it will stay, but as soon as you straighten your legs out while riding or at a light the armor floats around again and you have to reposition it. For this reason I gave 4 stars rather than 5.

Good kevlar Jeans - Sliders 4.0 Boot Cut   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Comfort and Protection

For the boot cut jeans I ordered one size larger than my normal. They were too big. Returned and got my regular jean size and they fit well. Just order your regular size. They are not tight or very slim. They look more like average jeans.

    Pros: Good Fit
    Cons: [None]

Sliders Boot cut jeans are sized similar to the Wrangler jeans I normally wear. They are truer to size than the sliders 4.0 that I own. I also prefer the cut of these jeans but I would not mind a slimer cut still.

Does the job - Wyatt   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Improved looks & fit, armour, true size fit
Cons: Knee armour pouch hard to adjust

Previously owned slider 4.0 jeans and these are an improvement in style and fit. I was concerned before buying these that they would fit too tightly because I am 626'3250lbs and don't do well with slim fit jeans the kids buy. As others suggested in reviews I bought the true size I wear in regular jeans whereas with the 4.0 Sliders I had to buy a size larger to get fit. Too my relief these jeans fit with plenty of room but have a more regular jeans look than the baggier 4.0 Sliders. As far as others can tell by looks, I'm just wearing jeans when I have these on, unlike with the 4.0 pants. My gripe with the boot cut Sliders is the knee armour pouches. The armour must be removed when the pants are washed and the pouches are hard to open and too long to get the armour to fit properly on the knee after getting them in the pouches. After a few tries putting on and taking off the pants to locate the armour over the knee, I finally tied the pouches off with rubber bands to hold the armour in place over the knee. Once in place the armour now stays located until the next washing. Despite the armour location flail, I recommend these pants for what they are intended to do which is protect while looking good. If they could make the armour installation easier and get them to where bug guts don't show on them they'd be perfect.

Slider Boot Cut vs Relax Fit - Tiny from Glenville, NY   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Relax Fit - Relaxed as says for bigger thighs
Cons: Boot cut - Thin cut, for thin legs

First lets start with my configuration. I am 65 and 240 lbs. with 40 waste, which leaves me limited choices when it comes to any type of clothing. I read all the reviews and then made my choice. My review here will focus on the fit, as the product itself seems to speak for itself I bought the 40x36. Material etc. was all good. Jean material was stretchy to get over my thighs, which was good as I do not have thin girly legs. Waste was also tight. Sent them back and got the 40x36 Relax Fit. Rise is 11 which I like, the legs have comfort room but not too much, length great since I normally wear 40x34. Waste about 1-2 large than normal 40, which I can manage. The extra Material comfortable, can wear to work and look good. Look like jeans because they are and have the protection inside in case something bad happens.Good product. In summary, if have girly legs, get the boot cut with stretchy material. If have sporty thighs, get the relax fit.

great kevlar jeans - Jeffst1100   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Very comfortable
Cons: boot cut flaps in the wind

I wear these at least once a week on my commute to work. Extra protection and I don't have to change at work.I have also worn them on a couple of 100 mile trips. They are always very comfortable on the ride.Excellent quality on the items like zipper, button, pockets and seams.4 of 5 only due to the flapping of the legs at highway speeds. My regular jeans don't do that. All in all a great buy and I will probably get another pair in the near future. Thanks CA.

Different fit - WaynoJ   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Very heavy duty, nice Kevlar protection
Cons: Weird fit in the crotch

I have several pair of Sliders kevlar riding jeans and love them. When these came out, I thought I'd give them a try. Overall, I like them -- heavy duty protection, nice fit in the legs. My only complaint is that they seem to be very short waist to crotch, and tend to feel tight in the crotch when riding. I'd still recommend them, but be aware of the fit issue.

Nice jeans, sizing off for me - nismos14   NJ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Excellent materials and comfortable
Cons: Size 34 fit me like a 32

I liked these kevlar jeans, and they had great potential but they were too small for me, not sure if I happened to get a bad pair or what, but for this reason I wish there were in between sizes like a 31,33,35.

Slider boot cut riding jeans - Joe P   Ontario Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Price,comfort,looks
Cons: Knee protector pockets, denim feel, short zipper,Kevlar material thickness

I have had tow pair of Draggin jeans and I need a replacement,so I though I would try these. When I first opened my package and examined the pants I was not sure if I was going to keep them. The denim material was a softer feel and was made in Pakistan. It was not the normal more stiffer feeling denim you get from N.A. sources. I guess these are lower cut in the waste and the zipper was only 5 inches compared to 8 inches on my Draggin jeans. I was worried about getting it out. But I put then on and felt good. They are softer and more comfortable and I guess getting it out through the short zipper was ok. The Kevlar lining is a very fine knit compared to the more course knit found in the draggin jeans. I am more use to seeing the course knit Kevlar found in industrial places. So I am not sure how effective the Kevlar would be. I hope never to find out. The knee pockets for the knee protectors are kind of useless. When you sit on the bike to ride they shift all over the place. Not sure in the event of and accident if the protectors would end up protecting me where they are intended too. Again hope nerver do They feel good riding. I am 6ft and 198. I got 36 by 32 my normal size and they are a bit longer and the boot cut fit well over my riding boots. I think the regular cut for me would have been too baggy. In the end kept the pants and the look and feel good.

Good, not great - WaynoJ   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Light-weight, great fit, full protection, great looks
    Cons: Short crotch to waist

Overall, I like these pants. I've worn Sliders 4.0 jeans with the kevlar for about three years as my regular riding pants, and love them -- great fit, great protection where it counts -- so I thought I'd give these a try. Mostly, they are very similar to the Sliders 4.0 jeans, with a slightly slimmer leg ankle to fit boots. However, Sliders has altered the cut of the uppers a bit, and I find the waist to crotch measurement is slightly tighter, so the pants ride quite a bit lower than the 4.0's and tend to pull on the crotch. If it weren't for that, these pants would get a five star rating from me. I still recommend them for riders looking for relatively inexpensive riding pants that provide extremely good protection, especially with the optional knee armor.

Sliders Boot Cut Jeans - Jay   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Comfort, fit, style
Cons: Smallish leg openings, weird knee armor pockets

I have a pair of the regular Sliders 4.0 jeans, and recently received a pair of these new Boot Cut jeans. First off, sizing. I wear a 36x36 in most regular jeans, typically Levi's 505 or similar, and in the Sliders 4.0 jeans I wear a 34x36, due to the common recommendation to size down. I did not see any such recommendation for the boot cut jeans, so I bought my normal size, 36x36. They fit perfectly. I measured the waist straight across with the jeans laid flat, and they measured just a hair over 18. So, at least based on my pair, these are not vanity sized. Measure the actual waist of jeans you have that fit well, and order that size.Second, fit. They fit more like Levi's 505 style, slightly low rise, not baggy through the legs like the 4.0 jeans. They actually look really good. I like my 4.0 jeans, but unless I'm wearing tall boots and kneeshin guards underneath, they look like baggy jeans on me I don't have tree trunk legs. These boot cut jeans look really good with the dark indigo wash. Now some negatives. The leg openings are smaller than those on the 4.0 jeans. About 1.5 smaller. The result is that I can't get these over a pair of Alpinestars Scout boots I have. So if you wear taller, ADV style boots, these might not fit over them. They work fine with my Dainese TR-Course Out boots, though.

Nice Pants - Good fit   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes

Good comfortable pants. - cjk   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good fit, lighter weight, enough belt loops, comfortable.
Cons: The loose sock for the optional knee armor,

I have anoter pair of Sliders jeans and they are OK but not nearly as well done as the new Boot Cut Riding jeans. The material is lighter than the previous ones. The only thing I dont like is the sock for the knee armor, it is attached at the upper thigh and just floats in the leg.

nice pair of jeans - cookie   NV Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: slim cut, comfortable, hip armor pockets
Cons: right knee armor covered the inside of my knee, rear pockets are too low

I had to sew the right knee armor pocket so my armor would cover my entire knee. All in all a comfortable and protective pair of jeans.

Slider Jeans - Yes or No, you decide - R. Hansen   NV Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable to wear while in riding position
Cons: Not enough kevlar protection on side of legs

Hopefully I'll never need to test them out for their intended purpose, with that said, I was disappointed in the lack of side coverage on the legs. Designer of the Slider jeans must think that you only go down on your butt which is well covered in Kevlar material. It has been my experience, fortunately only a few times in my 50 years of riding, that I have usually ended up sliding on my left side . . . don't know the reason for that vs. the right, it's just they way things turned out. Quality of construction is good and comfortable to wear both on and off the bike.

Huge - West Coast rider   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well made, look like they would do the job.
Cons: Quite heavy, feel like they will be very warm in the summer.

I bought these before the site described the fit issue... Heed the warning about them being very BIG. The size 32 I ordered actually measured over 34.5 inches at the waist band. I think they will be great once I get the correct size.

Skinny jeans - Gigantor   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good quality for the price.
    Cons: Skinny

These are not the normal slider jeans. Update for the skinny jean crowd. True to size maybe a little smaller. The regular sliders are loose cut and run a size or two bigger. No break in required, very soft material. Had to send back, just too tight. Normal jeans waist size for me is 36 and I have thin legs.

New Sliders - Charles, Federal Way, WA   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Much better fit than before
Cons: Could have a higher waistline

I had the older style Sliders and found them to be just too baggy. The fit of the new bootcut Sliders is much better and they fit more like a regular pair of blue jeans. I would like the waist to be a bit higher as they are primarily used in the sitting position. All in all they are a great improvement over the previous pair.

Comfortable jean but watch the fit - DCrider   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: soft denim appears to be made well
Cons: sizing may be a bit smaller than normal jeans

This review is for the new 2015 boot cut kevlar riding jean. I have not worn these riding and will probably return them as the sizing to me seems slightly smaller than normal jeans like Levis. I ordered a 3432 and the waist is a bit too tight, otherwise they it well. Given that the description says the jeans will shrink like a normal jean when drying in a clothes dryer I would suggest you get one size bigger in at least the waist. Also, not really an issue but the black jeans I ordered have less of the washedfaded look than the pictures show.

Good protection - Tim from AR   AR Recommended by Reviewer: Yes

This is the second pair of sliders I've purchased. Good protection for a reasonable price. However these jeans have some issues with quality with seams not sewn, pockets not sewn. Really pleased with the first pair, not so much with these.

ok jeans - ludo   DC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes

Depends on your needs - cjmoto   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fit is good, cool in hot weather, and look okay
Cons: Aftermarket knee pads do not stay in the proper place

I purchased these for short local rides in hot weather when I don't want to don full riding pants. The Sliders themselves offer almost no impact protection in the knees other than abrasion. Personal experience with hand-me-down leathers tells me that unless there is armor in the knee and it is kept securely in place, you will suffer serious knee damage. I can show you my scarsAfter purchasing the aftermarket knee armor from CA, I tried several ways to keep the knee pads in the proper place, but none of them worked. I finally purchased a pair of drywall contractor knee pads with plastic covers that will slide on pavement rather than grip the pavement. I then strapped them onto my knees over the Sliders. They come off easily when I get to my destination, and I have the security of knowing they will be in the proper place if and when I hit the pavement.

Not a fan - 2bikerider   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Hip pads
Cons: Not as stylish as expected

I real the wonderful reviews and bought the Slider Bootcut. I already own a pair of Sliders 4.0. They helped me out tremendously in crash, but I was looking for a more stylish pair of riding jeans. I bought these based on all the great recommendations. They are not as thick as my Sliders 4.0 and they don't offer as much protection. To be fair, I liked the hip protection not found in my other pair, so they are not horrible, especially for the price, they just were not what I was looking for. The bottom line is I was looking for something cooler looking with the same protection as my previous pair. I didn't think they offered that, so I returned them.I must admit that I hate to offer a bad review, but with all the 5 star reviews, i really would like to see if this review posts. It's fair to see diversity in opinions.

Baggy - Max   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well constructed, great featureprice ratio
Cons: Baggy. Did I mention baggy

If you refuse to wear real protective clothing, then at least get riding jeans. It might save you some road rash. I've purchased another brand of riding jeans, which were much more expensive, and fit much like regular jeans. I bought these recently and they are every bit as well constructed as the more expensive brand, but the fit is horrible, at least for thin to normal to slightly heavy build. I got the 36 waist, on a 5'10 200lb frame, and while the waist fits ok, the rest of the pant looked like MC Hammer's parachute pants. I believe they would even be baggy on Earl Campbell's tree stump legs. I'm not sure how protective they would be in a slide, but certainly better than normal jeans. If your option is these vs. normal jeans, get these. If your option is this vs. another brand, try them both out first, and keep the one that works.

Boot Cut Sliders - RenoEd   NV Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: nice heavy weight
    Cons: not a boot cut

If you think you're getting a 'boot cut' jeans - think again. Material is nice and heavy and workmanship is of expected quality. Design cut is straight regular, not bad, but not what I expected. If you're not particular these are a good buy.

Sliders Boot Cut Motorcycle Jeans - Texas60   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Nice fit I am 33 x 30 but ordered 34 x 30 and they fit perfect
Cons: knee armor pouch has no way to adjust the armor pad

I just got these a few minutes ago and tried them on to discover I was totally happy with the fit and appearance. They appear to be well made however I am disappointed that the knee armor pouch does not have adjustable velcro running crossways to the pouch. There is one strip of velcro running up and down instead of across the leg and is not sown very well. As a result there is absolutely no way to adjust the armor knee pad to cover the knee It is the same on both legs. I took away two stars for the poorly sewn velcro and no ability to adjust the armor knee pad. I will either have to figure how to add the armor to the knee or send these back for a refund still contemplating which I prefer.

Too tight, too loose - Phil   WA Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: lightweight, relaxed
Cons: weird fit, knee pads don't stay

I usually wear a 33-30. Got the 34-30. The pants are really tight around the belly and hips, but way too long and too loose everywhere else. Also got the knee pads, which work fine when riding. But when you walk, they drop down to the shin after just 10-15 steps. That Velcro system is in dire need of improvement, as others have already stated. That said, I already tried three other kevlar jeans previously. All of them fit even much worse than this pair does.Overall, I like these pants. But there is plenty of room for improvement

Too baggy - surfgoy   CA Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: Quality seems good
    Cons: Too baggy

Normally wear 3432 in Levi's and Lucky Brand straight leg jeans. Thought bootcut jeans are straight leg jeans with wider openings. These Sliders Bootcuts are baggy or are made for guys with LOG legs Order 1 size shorter too. Fit just didn't work out for me...

2016 Sliders Bootcut Jeans - Doug   CA Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: Seem reasonably well made
    Cons: Extremely baggy fit

These are supposed to be slimmer. They were over 2 inches wider in the waist. At the widest part of the top of my boots there was close to 4 inches of extra fabric I could pinch off in the pant leg. Doesn't seem like it would be that hard to submit to the manufacturer some reasonable dimensions for various sizes of, say, Levis or Wranglers. They'd also save costs due to using less unnecessary fabric. It's a real head scratcher why'd they'd manufacture something that baggy and that far off of what normal jeans sizes would be like.

Bargain - Phil   NC Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: Color, not stiff
Cons: Lightweight denim, fit is loose

My initial impression is that they're flimsy--the denim is listed as 12.5 ounce but it certainly isn't stiff. Even with the Kevlar lining there is little body. Makes me wonder if they will offer much protection in a fall. My regular jean size is 34 x 32 and I find that new jeans are a bit stiff when new but loosen and give with wearing. These are not stiff and are already a bit too large--I can only hope that they shrink with repeated washing.

Sliders Ace bootcut jeans - Mike H   Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: Hip pads included
    Cons: Lightweight denim

I ordered these slimmer cut Ace jeans after ordering the regular Sliders 4.0s. Those fit like the old stovepipe jeans popular a few years ago, so I sent them back. I was disappointed in these, and am sending them back as well. They really are not cut any slimmer, and the jean material is much lighter weight than the 4.0s. I may re-order some of those, and have them tailored. I am 6' tall, and 195#..not a small guy at all, but I feel like these jeans are so sloppy that they would roll on your legs in a crash. I will keep looking.

Will be exchanging them - WAY too big   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Looks like quality material and comfortable
Cons: Need to send them back to get a different size

I'm 5'8 and 170 lbs. I normally wear a size 3630. These came in the mail and are easily 2-3 inches too big in the waste and about 2 inches too long. I'll be trying out the 3430 since they don't make anything shorter than a 30. Disappointed that they don't show them available in 3430 in blue. Also disappointed given that I invested a lot of time reading the reviews of these and the 4.0 riding jeans, watching youtube videos, etc. And I'm on the hook for return shipping. Given the number of complaints about sizing problems, I would have thought they could work to have their sizing match at least close to regular jeans. Hoping to resolve this soon. Will try to update my review after an exchange takes place.

Yes, they are CHEAP - FlaFeralCat   Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: They don't look like motorcycle jeans.
Cons: Poor quality for motorcycle jeans.

Well, on the plus side, they're not baggy, at least for me, and they fit over my A's boots. They really don't look lke motorcycle jeans at all. The length is good but the waist is slightly large. The bad The waist seems to be cut like a funnel, widening all the way up. I found the rise too short. They sit low on my hips, and need a belt to hold them up. The denim quality and appearance are that of 15-25 Dollar Store type jeans. The new knee pocket is a type of sock only sewn about 13 of it's length to the pant and the rest is just hanging. I'm not sure how it's supposed to work to hold the armor. Just stick the pads in and fold them up There are no instruction,s care guide or anything that came with these. The pocket material is so thin and cheap, that out of the box the velcro stips are coming off, and it's fraying the fabric they're attached too anyway. They need some improvement, and I'm returning mine.

Sadly, I found these jeans disappointing in every way. I didn't like the way they fit. Quality was so-so. The denim was about the same as any bargain pair of jeans. Kevlar lining was questionable, seemed more like a polyestercotton blend. Without adding knee pads at extra cost these are nothing more than an expensive pair of jeans. I returned them.

I wear a 38-30 in most jeans and ordered these sliders in that same size. The jeans were too big in the waist but length was perfect so I returned for 36-30's. Unfortunately this pair were way too small in the waist so they were returned as well. I've gotten great use out of two previous pairs of sliders bought from COMPACC that I've owned for a couple of years but it just wasn't in the cards for me and this style. Hated to give a 1 Star rating with no experience in wearing them but the wide variant in sizing gives me no way to provide a higher rating.
