Information and Details about the Sliders Blue Ridge Leather Motorcycle Gloves
made by Sliders
Sliders Blue Ridge leather motorcycle gloves are designed to protect and serve. Made with supple, top grade ballistic leather, Blue Ridge Leather Gloves are a classic leather motorcycle glove coupled with advanced technology to protect your hands in case of impact. Features include rigid armor to protect the knuckles and genuine Aramid technical fabric in the glove's palm for abrasion resistance. The pre-curved glove shape, along with expansion joints on the back and over the first and second knuckle joints help prevent hand fatigue on longer rides. The Blue Ridge Leather Gloves slip on easily due to its elastic cuff, while the adjustable closure on the gauntlet easily adjusts for wearing the gloves over or under the jacket sleeve.

Sizing Note: Some customers have found the gloves to be about a 1/2 size or so smaller than they expect. It is probably better to have them a little big than too tight and restricting your motion. Please keep this in mind when ordering.

  • Made with Ballistic Leather and Genuine Dupont® KEVLAR® in the palm of the gloves
  • Rigid armor to protect the knuckles of your hand
  • Expansion joints on the back to allow the hand to flex freely
  • Expansion joints on the finger so you can close your hand without restriction
  • Elastic in the wrist to allow easy entry to the gloves and a snug fit
  • Adjustable closure to allow the gloves to be used above or below the jacket
  • Everything is safety stitched to keep the gloves together in a fall
  • 1 Year manufacturer's limited warranty

Good glove - Cj   CT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Good quality leather
Cons: Fits just a little snug

I normally wear medium, but based on reviews ordered large. They fit snug and finger tips all go to end with exeption of thumb. There is about 14 inch play at thumb tip.I like the tighter fit since leather will eventually break in and give a little. Easy to work controls and the gauntlet fits over the cuff on my sliders winter coat. Road with these gloves in December 2015 in upper 40's and they were comfortable. After about 2 hours my fingertips were starting to get cold. Not extreme winter gloves, but I don't plan on riding in temps below 40's , so for my purposes they are very good. Cushioning is good and primary purpose for buying was for leather and kevlar. I was happy with my first pair and ordered a second pair. The second pair I received were of the same quality, but they had been opened and tried on and the tags were removed. Not the end of the world. For 40 bucks you can't go wrong.

Great gloves - Ed in Richmond, VA   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: These gloves fit exactly as described and the sizing chart was correct. Nice leather, nice liner that is snug inside. Look good, feel great
Cons: None, I have to continue the time test tho.

Competition Accessories nailed it in the description, obviously some good heads working there I don't ride below 48F, so didn't need the warmest gloves. Certainly these are intermediate in warmth, but high quality snug, flexible fit was what I was looking for. They felt good right out of the box, but I can tell that they will work in a bit more as well. Don't think they will over stretch because the leather is thick and high quality. They feel good, look good and will keep my hands warmer than they were. Sliders brand is definitely on a high in quality AND value.

Excellent Glove - Jim   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, very protective, good price
    Cons: None

I have had these for about a year 15k miles. Excellent quality, very comfortable. Lots of protection. Comfortable down to 30's with heated grips. Too hot above 85. The price is right. I would definitely buy these again.

Biggest Bang for Buck - FreeRiders   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great construction Much cheaper than other brands Fit is very good with break-in
    Cons: Must break them in

I was pleasantly surprised by both look and quality of these gloves. I wear large gloves and ordered large in this glove also. Fit was a little too tight at first so I researched what to use to stretch the leather for quickinstant break-in. Boot repair guy said to use rubbing alcohol to soak leather then put them on and keep working the grip motion and behold They are now super formed to my hand and super comfortable We did this to my wife's riding leather gloves and had excellent results with form fitting her gloves too. Love these gloves.

Great Gloves for cold riding - Evo13   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good Price, fit perfectly, good for cold
Cons: Need to break in a bit for knuckle guard to not anoying

Great gloves for the price. i have friends with very similar gloves that cost 2-3x the cost of these. No complaints. Love them.

Very very nice - makinlifehappen   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Price, fill leather, good protection
    Cons: [None]

Very nice after they break in.Rode 6 hours from MD to VA going 80 ish on 95 South and I did not have to pull over very often due to cold.It was in the low 50's.That being said much cooler and you will at least want a silk liner.

Nice - makinlifehappen   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Leather, good weight, good protection
    Cons: leather

Great glove for the price, as soon as they break in they will be amazing. Ordered a large, I dont have the biggest hands in the world, that being said the thumb has a tiny extra flap. Should dissipate the more I wear them. Would buy again.

Great gloves - Ron L   MN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Excellent fit and a great bargain.
    Cons: [None]

These are simply the best gloves I've ever owned. I bought a pair for racing, but like them so much I need another pair for street riding. You'll want to order a larger size since they do run small, the large fitting my relatively small hands perfectly. The gauntlet-style wrist fits over the sleeve of my jackets, yet it can go under the sleeve as well. The added protection of the knuckle armor is a plus.

Great gloves a bit short - Wes   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great protection, seem well made, good to about 35-40 F
Cons: Fingers are a little short

These are great gloves. Nice leather, look great, and great protection. The cuff fits nicely over my jacket sleave and keeps the wind out. I usually wear XL gloves I would say I have long fingers but not beefy handsnot sure if that helps. Anyway I think the gloves fit fine right out of the box, but my fingers hit the ends of the gloves and that may reduce the lifetime of the glove. I ride all winter in VA and these work good to about 35F. I bought a cheap pair of cotton work gloves I use as liners and I can ride the 30 min to work in 30-32F temps, but my hands are cold when I get there.

blue ridge kevlar gloves - ricknat   SC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: good fit,
Cons: may go 1 size up

a very good fit, some riders may have to go one size up.but for me the large worked well for me.good glove for the price...great service

Sliders blue ridge leather and kevlar glove - exodusgo   AR Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good bargain and sizing correct, solid glove
Cons: a little stiff at first but gets better with use

Glove is solidly designed with great knuckle protection. Good stitching and nice weight leather for riding with great kevlar protection

Great cold weather glove - BobbyB   CO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: price functionality and quality
    Cons: none

    A glove

Good Value for leather and kevlar gloves - Bob - HaAgerstown MD   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: snug fit, good quality, excellent value
Cons: size may run on the small side, not really a CON, but an FYI

Great glove for the value. Only caution is sizing. I ordered a XL, and glove is snug, not uncomfortable, but snug. Fingers are tight to the very tips of the glove, an I would consider my hands huge. But be aware, in my oponion size runs on the smaller end of the spectrum. Still a great glove for the value.

sliders blue ridge kevlar armored leather gloves - john in avon lake   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Excellent protection. Love the adjustable gauntlet--seals the sleeves. Great quality leather, not too stiff or too soft. Knuckle protection a welcome addition.
Cons: Could use a suede, left index finger pad to wipe face shield in the wet.

Excellent three-season gloves. All leather construction offers protection, comfort and style. I may order another pair as spares. They size a little snug, so go one size up.

blue ridge kevlar gloves - john-avon lake ohio   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: grat protection, very good looks, gauntlet sleeve length.
    Cons: [None]

great gloves for all but the coldest weather. super protection with outstanding comfort. HIGHLY recommended these kevlar gloves

comfort and protection - LS   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Best Gauntlets I've ever worn, Kevlar in Palm
Cons: Have to order a size up

I bought these gloves right after I ruined a pair when I took a spill at 45 MPH. Those gloves have knuckle guards and I clacked them on both hands. So when looking around for replacement, I discovered these, and have not been disappointed. The comfort is great, no breaking them in, no having to stretch them out, just great fitting. That is, after I sent back my original pair and ordered a size larger.

Blue Ridge Kevlar Gloves - Hilly Gorelick
Just received these gloves tonight, as well as the Sliders cold pro gloves, and I am extremely happy. They are a nice medium thickness of leather, and they feel like they will keep you warm on all but the coldest days, this remains to be seen. The stitching appears first rate, stretch panels help it fit "like a glove," and the knuckle armor is truly hard. I will ride with these, and wear them as an every day glove. Always nice to have knuckle armor at all times! As well, the service and support with Compacc has been first rate. I look forward to continued business with this company, they have been extremely helpful at every stage, and everything was received within 2 to 3 days of ordering. Well done!

Sliders Kevlar Blue Ridge Gloves review - David R
Overall the gloves are good for the money. The leather is soft and the fit was pretty good. The protection all seems to be there and the knuckle protector is a nice touch. I usually wear an XL so that is what I ordered. These gloves are good for spring and fall riding here is NC. In the summer it is just too hot so I ordered a pair of mesh gloves too. Good glove for the money.

    Kevlar Motorcycle Gloves - CAGMO
Excellent product, great price, Compacc's service is always first rate. Thanks from a repeat, if frankly honest, customer.

JMatt - JMatt   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Nice quality and attention to detail
Cons: Finger length seems a bit short

Aesthetically they look very nice and the stich detail is quite good. However, the finger depth seems to be a bit short. As such, the finger tips aren't the most comfortable while they are being broken in, but I see this as a temporary issue. Would buy again.

Sliders Blue Ridge Leather Gloves - Sliders Blue Ridge Leather Motorcycle Gloves   CT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good fit, flexible and soft forming
Cons: I was between sizes do I choose large, for me I might have to break them in a bit

Great winter glove for me, I have heated grips, but best advantage is the protection and coverage these gloves provide. As noted above the glove fit right out of the bag, I just might have to break them in a bit to fit better across my knuckles.

Sturdy glove - Bob   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Well constructed glove,
Cons: Size runs small. I should wear a L but got this in an XL and fits snug. Fingers run short.

I had to get a size up on this one, but I like the glove. Has a good sturdy feel, well made.

Blue Ridge Gloves - Rick   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Well made.
    Cons: Very small fit.

These gloves are nice. Well made. I just got mine and have worn them twice. They are a very small fit. I usually wear a large to extra-large and got these in extra-large. Should have gotten 2X I guess as the inside seams are very tight on the thumb of both hands. However, the fingers are the perfect length I am 5'10 and 170 lbs so I don't think of my hands as 2X I think a sizing disclaimer is in order here. I am hoping they will break in. If not, I may buy another pair in 2X and sell the originals.

Broadcaster - Bob Day   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: well made.Quality materials etc...
    Cons: Too small

Nice gloves and theyre well made but I bought Large and connot even get them on my hands yet, I lost the receipt so Im stuck with them. If you have large hands you may need XL or XXL and I dont think that size is availiable. Very nice gloves though. I wish they were big enough for my hands...

great for the price - vapexpr   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: great flexibility, warm for a while
    Cons: inside stitching

I am a new rider and this is my first pair of cold weather gloves. They are super comfortable for the first hour or so. The inside stitching rubs between my index and middle finger on my left hand. Because it only happens on one hand it may just be a personal fitment issue. The gloves work great at about 40 degrees fahrenheit. At 35 degrees and 40mph I was able to go about 20 minutes before my fingers got too cold.

Sliders Blue Ridge Gloves - LGD   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good intermediate weight glove, Kevlar
    Cons: [None]

This is a good intermediate weight glove, when it's too cool for mesh but not quite cold enough for winter gloves. They move well and appear to provide good protection especially with the Kevlar. Good value for the money.

Good Buy - Doug Jones   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good fit, Comfortable, Reasonably warm
    Cons: None found

Wish they offered these with a knit cuff. My jacket has a long sleeve so these don't fit well over the top so I manage to work them inside.

Great Value for Leather Gloves with Kevlar - John E. Lincoln   UT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great price, Leather and Kevlar, knuckle extra protection
    Cons: Sizing always problematic

I looked at several brands and configuration as well as their reviews, and selected these to replace a two year old pair that was delaminating. Based on the reviews I ordered one size larger, 3XX, instead of my usual 2XX. It's a little large but comfortable, and for winter, when I usually use a liner, will probably be right on. It's too early to tell about the durability, but the look is great, and the feedback through the gloves is as good as any others. As are any solid, non-mesh, gloves, these are warm in 90 degree heat, but not unbearble, and should work great with a liner in 30 degree winter weather. Do not know about water repelency, having only used them in light showers, with no water penetration. Based on my experience so far I recommend them as equal to those costing twice as much.

A guy who bought some. - Karl in WA   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Appear to be well made and a good value
Cons: They do run one size too small - order next size larger

Nice gloves, I hope the wife enjoys them They appear well made but I didn't read the entire description that said the sizing runs small and to order the next size larger. But they are also such a good value for the prices it's not cost effective to return them Wifey better love me...

Nice gloves but knuckle guard - tHawk   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Size and quality
    Cons: Knuckle guard fit

The overall feel of the gloves was great with the exception of the knuckle guards. It is probably just me but they hit at the wrong spot. I returned for a pair of gloves without the plastic knuckle bubble and I have been very happy.

Very Satisfied with Sliders Gloves - Ron Gray   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, fits well, supple, Kevlar protection
    Cons: None.

No regrets with this purchase. Very nice cold weather glove.

Sliders blue Ridge Kevlar Gloves - Larry P.   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good price, good fit, comfortable, good quality
Cons: need to order the next size up

These gloves are very comfortable, no break in period at all. Can wear them all day and your hands don,t suffer like with some gloves that I have worn. Soft leather, good quality, nice looking. Have no problem with the knuckle protectors.Only negative would be that you have to order a size up, but that is not really a big issue. Great gloves for a good price.

Blue Ridge Gloves - Bob Beach   CT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Design, Materials, Price
    Cons: Sizing

When I placed my order I used the sizing chart and read the reviews on the gloves. The gloves I ordered were XL which were too small. I wore them outside in 20 degree weather not on the bike and decided I may need to wear a glove insert in cold weather. So for a better fit and extra room I returned them and am ordering a 2XL pair.

blue ridge - orange1   MA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: looks good, decent quality
    Cons: runs 1 size small

reviews said they run 1 half size small, more like a full size small, way to tight

just ok - vasuvius   NJ Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: low price
Cons: inside finger seams hurt fingers, thumb too long

i bought these for the price. i needed a pair of gloves for winter riding. i ride down to 20 degrees F and with heated grips, hippo hands, these gloves keep my hands pretty warm. i read all the reviews and ordered one size up that my normal size. the gloves fit very well except for the fact that the thumb is very long. the inner seams on the fingers are rough, uneven and actually hurt my fingers.

Unfortunate sizing is so messed up - Bret   UT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well made, high quality materials
Cons: sizing is poor, the palm is tight

I find the sliders brand is very messed up on sizing and patterns. It's like they got the pattern of the glove correct, but the remaining 10 makes it a dealbreaker. I normally wear between L-XL gloves. So I purchased one of each size to see which fit best. Unfortunately, neither fit best. The overall finger length on the XL was almost right albeit a little short. But, I assumed the leather would stretch a little after use and fit perfectly. Unfortunately, with the glove on, and my palm outstretched, the leather covering the palm was stretched, bridging the cup of my palm. I've had gloves like this before, and I find that when the palm of the glove is that tight I end up not being able to grab the handlebar grip very comfortably. In addition, I find that such a fit can constrain my blood flow leading to extra numbness in the hands do to tight fit and road vibration. In other words, the most critical part of the glove the grip and how it fits on the hand was poorly thought through. Given that the palm has Kevlar, I assumed it wouldn't stretch like a traditional leather palm would. I've purchased many pairs of high end gloves in the 60 range and I've never had this kind of a fit issue. Sliders needs to focus on these details.
