Information and Details about the Sliders Blue Ridge Leather Motorcycle Gloves
made by Sliders
Sliders Blue Ridge leather motorcycle gloves are designed to protect and serve. Made with supple, top grade ballistic leather, Blue Ridge Leather Gloves are a classic leather motorcycle glove coupled with advanced technology to protect your hands in case of impact. Features include rigid armor to protect the knuckles and genuine Aramid technical fabric in the glove's palm for abrasion resistance. The pre-curved glove shape, along with expansion joints on the back and over the first and second knuckle joints help prevent hand fatigue on longer rides. The Blue Ridge Leather Gloves slip on easily due to its elastic cuff, while the adjustable closure on the gauntlet easily adjusts for wearing the gloves over or under the jacket sleeve.

Sizing Note: Some customers have found the gloves to be about a 1/2 size or so smaller than they expect. It is probably better to have them a little big than too tight and restricting your motion. Please keep this in mind when ordering.

Features:
  • Made with Ballistic Leather and Genuine Dupont® KEVLAR® in the palm of the gloves
  • Rigid armor to protect the knuckles of your hand
  • Expansion joints on the back to allow the hand to flex freely
  • Expansion joints on the finger so you can close your hand without restriction
  • Elastic in the wrist to allow easy entry to the gloves and a snug fit
  • Adjustable closure to allow the gloves to be used above or below the jacket
  • Everything is safety stitched to keep the gloves together in a fall
  • 1 Year manufacturer's limited warranty

Very very nice - makinlifehappen   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Price, fill leather, good protection
    Cons: [None]

Very nice after they break in.Rode 6 hours from MD to VA going 80 ish on 95 South and I did not have to pull over very often due to cold.It was in the low 50's.That being said much cooler and you will at least want a silk liner.

Nice - makinlifehappen   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Leather, good weight, good protection
    Cons: leather

Great glove for the price, as soon as they break in they will be amazing. Ordered a large, I dont have the biggest hands in the world, that being said the thumb has a tiny extra flap. Should dissipate the more I wear them. Would buy again.

Great gloves - Ron L   MN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Excellent fit and a great bargain.
    Cons: [None]

These are simply the best gloves I've ever owned. I bought a pair for racing, but like them so much I need another pair for street riding. You'll want to order a larger size since they do run small, the large fitting my relatively small hands perfectly. The gauntlet-style wrist fits over the sleeve of my jackets, yet it can go under the sleeve as well. The added protection of the knuckle armor is a plus.

Great gloves a bit short - Wes   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great protection, seem well made, good to about 35-40 F
Cons: Fingers are a little short

These are great gloves. Nice leather, look great, and great protection. The cuff fits nicely over my jacket sleave and keeps the wind out. I usually wear XL gloves I would say I have long fingers but not beefy handsnot sure if that helps. Anyway I think the gloves fit fine right out of the box, but my fingers hit the ends of the gloves and that may reduce the lifetime of the glove. I ride all winter in VA and these work good to about 35F. I bought a cheap pair of cotton work gloves I use as liners and I can ride the 30 min to work in 30-32F temps, but my hands are cold when I get there.

Good Value for leather and kevlar gloves - Bob - HaAgerstown MD   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: snug fit, good quality, excellent value
Cons: size may run on the small side, not really a CON, but an FYI

Great glove for the value. Only caution is sizing. I ordered a XL, and glove is snug, not uncomfortable, but snug. Fingers are tight to the very tips of the glove, an I would consider my hands huge. But be aware, in my oponion size runs on the smaller end of the spectrum. Still a great glove for the value.

sliders blue ridge kevlar armored leather gloves - john in avon lake   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Excellent protection. Love the adjustable gauntlet--seals the sleeves. Great quality leather, not too stiff or too soft. Knuckle protection a welcome addition.
Cons: Could use a suede, left index finger pad to wipe face shield in the wet.

Excellent three-season gloves. All leather construction offers protection, comfort and style. I may order another pair as spares. They size a little snug, so go one size up.

blue ridge kevlar gloves - john-avon lake ohio   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes

comfort and protection - LS   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Best Gauntlets I've ever worn, Kevlar in Palm
Cons: Have to order a size up

I bought these gloves right after I ruined a pair when I took a spill at 45 MPH. Those gloves have knuckle guards and I clacked them on both hands. So when looking around for replacement, I discovered these, and have not been disappointed. The comfort is great, no breaking them in, no having to stretch them out, just great fitting. That is, after I sent back my original pair and ordered a size larger.

Blue Ridge Kevlar Gloves - Hilly Gorelick
Just received these gloves tonight, as well as the Sliders cold pro gloves, and I am extremely happy. They are a nice medium thickness of leather, and they feel like they will keep you warm on all but the coldest days, this remains to be seen. The stitching appears first rate, stretch panels help it fit "like a glove," and the knuckle armor is truly hard. I will ride with these, and wear them as an every day glove. Always nice to have knuckle armor at all times! As well, the service and support with Compacc has been first rate. I look forward to continued business with this company, they have been extremely helpful at every stage, and everything was received within 2 to 3 days of ordering. Well done!

Sliders Kevlar Blue Ridge Gloves review - David R
Overall the gloves are good for the money. The leather is soft and the fit was pretty good. The protection all seems to be there and the knuckle protector is a nice touch. I usually wear an XL so that is what I ordered. These gloves are good for spring and fall riding here is NC. In the summer it is just too hot so I ordered a pair of mesh gloves too. Good glove for the money.

Excellent product, great price, Compacc's service is always first rate. Thanks from a repeat, if frankly honest, customer.

Good Buy - Doug Jones   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good fit, Comfortable, Reasonably warm
    Cons: None found

Wish they offered these with a knit cuff. My jacket has a long sleeve so these don't fit well over the top so I manage to work them inside.

Great Value for Leather Gloves with Kevlar - John E. Lincoln   UT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great price, Leather and Kevlar, knuckle extra protection
    Cons: Sizing always problematic

I looked at several brands and configuration as well as their reviews, and selected these to replace a two year old pair that was delaminating. Based on the reviews I ordered one size larger, 3XX, instead of my usual 2XX. It's a little large but comfortable, and for winter, when I usually use a liner, will probably be right on. It's too early to tell about the durability, but the look is great, and the feedback through the gloves is as good as any others. As are any solid, non-mesh, gloves, these are warm in 90 degree heat, but not unbearble, and should work great with a liner in 30 degree winter weather. Do not know about water repelency, having only used them in light showers, with no water penetration. Based on my experience so far I recommend them as equal to those costing twice as much.

A guy who bought some. - Karl in WA   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Appear to be well made and a good value
Cons: They do run one size too small - order next size larger

Nice gloves, I hope the wife enjoys them They appear well made but I didn't read the entire description that said the sizing runs small and to order the next size larger. But they are also such a good value for the prices it's not cost effective to return them Wifey better love me...

Nice gloves but knuckle guard - tHawk   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Size and quality
    Cons: Knuckle guard fit

The overall feel of the gloves was great with the exception of the knuckle guards. It is probably just me but they hit at the wrong spot. I returned for a pair of gloves without the plastic knuckle bubble and I have been very happy.

Sliders blue Ridge Kevlar Gloves - Larry P.   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good price, good fit, comfortable, good quality
Cons: need to order the next size up

These gloves are very comfortable, no break in period at all. Can wear them all day and your hands don,t suffer like with some gloves that I have worn. Soft leather, good quality, nice looking. Have no problem with the knuckle protectors.Only negative would be that you have to order a size up, but that is not really a big issue. Great gloves for a good price.

blue ridge - orange1   MA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: looks good, decent quality
    Cons: runs 1 size small

reviews said they run 1 half size small, more like a full size small, way to tight

Unfortunate sizing is so messed up - Bret   UT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well made, high quality materials
Cons: sizing is poor, the palm is tight

I find the sliders brand is very messed up on sizing and patterns. It's like they got the pattern of the glove correct, but the remaining 10 makes it a dealbreaker. I normally wear between L-XL gloves. So I purchased one of each size to see which fit best. Unfortunately, neither fit best. The overall finger length on the XL was almost right albeit a little short. But, I assumed the leather would stretch a little after use and fit perfectly. Unfortunately, with the glove on, and my palm outstretched, the leather covering the palm was stretched, bridging the cup of my palm. I've had gloves like this before, and I find that when the palm of the glove is that tight I end up not being able to grab the handlebar grip very comfortably. In addition, I find that such a fit can constrain my blood flow leading to extra numbness in the hands do to tight fit and road vibration. In other words, the most critical part of the glove the grip and how it fits on the hand was poorly thought through. Given that the palm has Kevlar, I assumed it wouldn't stretch like a traditional leather palm would. I've purchased many pairs of high end gloves in the 60 range and I've never had this kind of a fit issue. Sliders needs to focus on these details.

Great gloves - wilbur   NJ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: comfortable fit, quick break-in, great glove
    Cons: None

These gloves are great. I was looking for a short glove for summer riding and these worked out nice. The gloves are really comfortable and break-in was quick. I ordered a medium even though the sizing chart indicated a large. I was just into the large size and typically they tend to bunch in the palm. The medium size fit perfect after a couple of rides. The one thing great about these gloves is the finger seams are stitched on the outside of the glove, making them more comfortable. That feature is typically found in a glove costing much more. I ordered the Trident glove at the same time in a medium and I'm not really happy with those. They are much tighter and the finger seams are on the inside of the glove. Maybe that is why they are tighter. The Escape glove is a great buy.

Very Pleased - Mat P.   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Price is great and quality is top notch
Cons: I have no 'cons'.....maybe just slow delivery which is not the gloves fault.

I was hoping for 'good' and got 'great'They are very well made of top quality materials. They fit great but I ordered the XL since they were on the line between L and XL and I feared gloves too tight thus fingers too cold.XL was the right choice.I highly recommend these before the price goes back up.MP

Sliders Trident Leather Gloves - Jam397x   MI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Really snug. Great workmanship.
    Cons: Velcro wrist closure

I really like these gloves. I bought size XL and the fit is snug like it should be. These are real leather gloves and you have to wear them to make it supple and soft. The workmanship is great - very well constructed. I am surprised to get real leather gloves at this price. The only downside is the velcro wrist closure. It does not hold very well and tends to become undone when I flex my wrist. I could be because they are new. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with my purchase and I feel protected wearing these gloves.

Pros: Warm, good materials, well priced

Love these. I commute to work on a FZ1 almost every day, no rain riding for me. I leave at 0430 in the morning so even in California it's pretty chilly. Down to 30 degrees. These gloves are good to about 35ish for 45 minutes. Any colder than that I need my heated glove liners. They cannot be beat for the price.

Waterproof - Tom   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: water proof
Cons: I have to get used to the feel of the hard knuckle protectors

Absolutely waterproof I did a four minute bucket test on both left and right the way they do on Webbikeworld.com and they passed . The waterproof barrier is inside the glove so the water is absorbed by the leather and so they get heavy. I'm going to treat them with some Nikwax Glove Proof as per my heated gloves instructions. I have Gerbings heated gear and their gloves are also waterproof but they tell you to do the Nikwax Glove Proof treatment to avoid the soaking. The textile part of the gloves did not seem to absorb any water so with the Nikwax Glove Proof these will work well. Another reason for the treatment is that when the gloves soaked up the cold New Jersey winter water my hands felt the cold. I bought these for the in between weather when I don't need the heated gear and also as a back-up in case of a dreaded failure on a cold day of my heated gear.

Pros: Work great in cold weather above 40
Cons: Little bulky when you first use.

Use these daily for a 30 minute drive to work. Kept my hands warm in the 50's, little chill in the 40's and fingertips for cold in the mid 30's after about 20 minutes. On the upper end, hands got sweaty one you hit the mid 60's.

First i would to acknowledge the great service. When I ordered the gloves I did not enter my credit card info properly. An employee phoned me and we fixed the problem but I nneede the gloves right away for a 2000 mile trip. They arrived at my door in time. Great service The gloves are warm and do not let any wind in even at 90MPH. They are bulky as are most winter gloves. I am sure I could get better gloves for alot more money but I lke to replace my winter gloves each year because they get funkymy hands are either cold or sweaty. These fit the bill perfectly. Get a size larger for a better fit.

Still a great value - JC in NC   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Warm, protective, highly reflective
    Cons: Bulky

I was one of the folks that jumped on the Sliders Cold Pro glove bandwagon and raved about their value and cold weather abilities. The only negative was the fact they slid off my hand too easily. In my review I said a simple wrist strap could solve that problem. Almost as if the Sliders people listened to my review directly, a year later they release the Quest glove. From what I can tell it is exactly the same as the Cold Pro, except now it has a wrist strap. All the pros still apply, it fits great, allows good feel of the controls and most importantly keeps my hands warm. All without being excessively bulky. The hi-viz yellow is very noticeable and the reflective patches keep my hands seen at night. These are about the perfect winter gloves for the money. I felt I paid a bit too much of a premium for a simple wrist strap, but in the end you can't question the value and quality of glove you're getting for 60 bucks. It is still worth the investment.

We all know that trying to keep the hands warm is one of the most difficult things to do for us year around riders....and no glove without either electric or shielded assistance keeps them warm in temps around 30F, but these actually do a pretty darn good job. Very impressed with the kevlar cold pro glove, the construction, the durability, and so far it's ability to keep my hand warmish in some quite cold temps.

Pros: Warm, bright, no break in, kevlar
Cons: Like all insulated gloves bulkier than summer gloves.

Unlike the similar textile version, Cold Pro , these fit to size. I ordered one size bigger thinking they ran small as the Cold Pros did and had to return them as they were too big. I typically wear a large and the large fit great. The HI-Viz is just that. The gloves have gotten wet and the colors have not faded. I did not have any issues with the gloves during break-in. The seams are all flat and did not rub my hands. As for warmth, these gloves are as warm as you can get without moving up to heated gloves. Well worth the cost I have worn them down to 30ish with a heavy cross-wind and did not feel the cold.

Pros: Reasonable price well armored, keeps my hands warm in cold riding weather
    Cons: None so far

As a former smoker I have trouble keeping my hands warm on cold days. While I have yet to find gloves that are able to keep my hands totally warm and yet still be functional on a motorcycle, these do an excellent job. They kept my hands warm for a one hour ride when temps were about 40 degrees, something my other winter gloves cannot do. They ware well made and offer excellent fall protection, and being waterproof should work well on a cold wet day. I only had the chance to wear them twice before putting my bike away for the season but I am very pleased with this product.

Sliders Coastal Glove Review - Ray Lloyd   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well Made, Price is awesome, Very comfortable, Warm, Not too bulky
Cons: Buy one size larger than recommended

For the money, I have never found a better pair of winter gloves. These are well made, very comfortable, pre-curved fingers excellent idea, no break in required. They are not too bulky like some winter gloves. The leather is soft and flexible, requiring no break-in period.I like these gloves so much I am actually buying another pair only weeks after buying the first pair. I keep a snowmobile suit, boots, winter hat, and gloves in the trunk of my car in case of winter breakdown, and will add this second pair of these gloves to that kit.One thing to keep in mind about size. These are sized a LITTLE bit small. I have small hands, and I normally wear a medium or large glove, but thought I wanted a little room in the gloves in case it was extremely cold and I added thin polypropelene liners. I ordered the XL size, and they are BARELY large enough to add the thin liners. Thus, my recommendation to order one size larger than you need.Other than that, these gloves are warm, stretchy, comfortable, and a GREAT DEALI HIGHLY recommend them

What can I say it got cold and I needed better winter gloves, these are perfect for me. I have big hands and sausage fingers and the 2X was perfect. Zero wind penetration even at speeds up to 100mph and if the wind doesn't get in they stay warm. I haven't tested the waterproofing but i'm guessing it will work.

Pros: EXCELLENT value, Warm, Nice Fit, Well Made
    Cons: [None]

To be honest, I wasn't expecting the glove to perform, or look, as good as it actually does. For the price, you simply can't beat all that this glove has to offer. I listened to the other reviewers and ordered 1 size up. I'm a medium in nearly all gloves, and went with a size large here. Glad I did as the fit is perfect. Gloves kept my hands warm while commuting in 35 degree temps, although finger tips were a bit chilly. When riding in temps in the upper 30s - 40s, my handsfingers were toasty. 50 degrees and they started to sweat If you're looking for a riding glove for temps in the 60s or above, look elsewhere as these are too hot.For the , you can't beat this glove. It's much better looking in person than what you see in the pics too.

I normally wear an XL but ordered a 2XL. They were too tight. I exchanged them with a 3XL which fits comfortably. The gloves fit over my jacket cuff and have good closures. After seeing how poorly my Held summer gloves are wearing, I decided to try a value glove for winter use since I don't plan to ride too much on cold days. They are well made for the money. I'm pleased with these gloves and with the great service provided by Competition Accessories.

    Pros: Very warm, not bulky
Cons: little stiff and sizes do run a little small

I ride all winter and was looking for something less bulky than snowmobile type gloves. These fit the bill. I rode about 25 miles of freeway at 30 degrees and my hands were very warm. No wind came through. I am in between an XL and 2XL- ordered the 2XL based on other reviews and they are slightly snug- good fit. Have not ridden in rain yet. Protection seems good and the gauntlets fit over a Firstgear Jaunt jacket. They are a little stiff- sure they will loosen up with ride time. I highly recommend these gloves for the nice fit and warmth- only time will tell about durability.

Waited several weeks for these to be back in stock and it was well worth the wait. The mornings in Seattle are running between 38 and 47 F now and my fingers would be cold after about 5 miles when wearing my TM Scarab gloves with a silk glove liner. The Cold Pro have been warm at 38 F my whole commute of 15 miles at freeway speed and a couple of blocks of city street 35mph. Big difference and I am curious to see how long I can ride before my fingers get cold. For the money I don't think these can be beat.

I have yet to see how the gloves repel water, but they do keep you hands warm. My hands are normally cool all year round, but these gloves keep my hands warm, even the fingertips. They are a little bulky, but after riding for over an hour with them on, I didn't notice the bulkyness anymore. Make sure you buy a size bigger. They are a little tight, because of the extra material.

    Pros: warm and dry
    Cons: none so far

I wear these when it is raining or when temps dip below 50 degrees. We have already had some mornings with temps around 40 and these did fine on a naked bike at 70 mph. Very comfy glove. Seems well put together. I have wide hands and wear the 3xl and while roomy they fit good. The fingers are a bit long for my stubby digits but this does not bother me and will be good when temps really drop down. I have not worn these yet in a real deluge but in a steady light rain hands stayed dry on a 2 hour ride. Cuffs fit over jacket sleeve well and the velcro strap works great. Very happy with these.

Great bargain gloves - rbgiantfan   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Price, comfort, protection
    Cons: Not a designer name

There's no sense in repeating the features listed in the product description. These gloves deliver on all of their claims. They feel like they'll have adequate protection in the event of a get-off. They fit well due to the elastic cuff and adjustable wrist strap. The Thinsulate works pretty well, down to 35F degrees. Reflective piping is effective but not over done. The only downside is they don't say Alpinestars or Dainese - so if you like brand names then get something else. But if you value your money, you won't be disappointed with these gloves.

Pros: warm, seem as if they would help in a crash, dry, good size.
Cons: A bit stiff when new.

I live in the Pittsburgh area, and ride until I cant anymore due to snow. So if its 40 and dry I'm out there. I have a Sportster with no wind protection. I use these any time below 60 and Ive had them on down to 30 and they work great for all of it. Wind never gets in, and they wick any sweat away so overheating isn't any issue and cooler temps become irrelevant. When new they were a bit stiff so i rolled them in a ball, tied them with a rubber band and left them for a week. After this they have that curve built in and were comfortable as can be. the gauntlet is long and wide enough to go over my Tourmaster jacket sleeves with all liners, etc in but not decrease mobility as some long gauntlets make you feel like you have stiff sleeves on. Ive been riding for 30 years and they are just as good as any and better than most at any price. well worth it and I promise you will be happy with them. They are warm, dry, and windproof and seem to be good protection in he event of an unplanned dismount. Had them almost a year now and no problems with quality either, in fact I'm going to order the summer version to replace my worn out Tourmater summer gloves.

    Cons: None

I'm normally not much of a cold weather rider, so I didn't own any real water-proof, insulated gloves, but after a recent ride wearing my Sliders Trident Kevlar gloves, I decided it was time to add to my arsenal. I searched all the major brands and didn't find a single reasonably priced glove until I saw these. The Sliders Cold Pro gloves are a great buy they keep you warm and dry, without the bulk of most water-proof gloves. Build quality seems to be typical of the Sliders brand, which is to say excellent. Great knuckle and finger armor, with plenty of palm padding. The availability of safety yellow as a body color is just icing on the cake. I highly recommend these gloves -- they are every bit as good as major brand gloves costing three times the price.

Pros: Well insulated, protective features except...
Cons: Not secure around the wrist, may come off in an accident

I ordered size according to CompAcc's recommendations. Gloves are kinda bulky but I'm surprised that it didn't interfere with feel for the controls. Very nice protective features except that retention is lousy. It may come off when you need it most. The gloves perform very well in cold weather. I've ridden down to the high teens and it kept my hands warm enough that I maintain good control. Nothing went numb in the hour that I rode but the very tips of my fingers will get cold but not frozen after about 35 minutes. The tips didn't get any colder, didn't lose feeling for clutch and brake levers. Are heated gloves better Maybe as far as keeping the hands warm, they are but I doubt that crash protection is as good as these Sliders gloves. Very good value and highly recommended. Only improvement I want is a strap that cinches around the wrist.

Nice glove at a nice price - Will   NJ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: very comfy, warm, reasonably protective, wide cuff
Cons: a little clumsy due to bulky profile

For 40 I was pleasantly surprised with the value offered by this glove. Several name brands offer less at a steeper price. First thing that struck me is how comfy they are, great fit and soft inside. The fit is right on, I wear a 2XL in most gloves and this was no exception. They are also quite warm, I'd say the warmest pair I own now and I own several cold weather gloves. The insulation seems to do its job throughout the glove with the exception of the extreme fingertip region, but nothing but heated gloves can really address that. The protection seems good, and better than most winter gloves as most makers seek to abandon armor in order to maintain a svelte profile. The stitching seems done well enough and I'd expect them to last at least a few winters. I really like the wide cuff as many gloves are sized too small in the cuff and it really cuts of your circulation in your wrists once you pull it over your cold weather jacket. This one is plenty roomy so no numb hands from circulation issues. Overall I'd recommend this glove without hesitation, lots of sizes and colors to choose from as well.

Awesome - Bogy   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Seriously Warm
    Cons: No pull tabs

Purchased these gloves about a month ago and since then I've gone on several multi-hour rides in temps ranging from 37-50 degrees. got to love the wild weather in VAFor my first outing with these babies it went on a 4 hour ride around Southern Maryland with a daytime high reaching a balmy 37 degrees and in all honesty my hands NEVER got cold. Second outing was riding to work at 630am maintaining 70mph for 40 minutes in 48degree weather, again, my hands were NEVER cold and actually started to sweat. Yea, their that warm. Glove construction is top notch And unlike other winter riding gloves I've used in the past the palm area is not over stuffed so gripping the bars and breakclutch levers aren't an issue. make no mistake, these are bulkier than standard non winter gloves but personally I think they did a great job at maintaining comfort to warmth ratio. Fingers are articulated and this also adds to the ease of use. Oh, did I mention they are WARM They seem to offer good protection as well, hope I never need to test it, and there is a pocket area behind the knuckle guards. I purchased a size Small and sizing for me was spot on My hands are 3 12in wide at the palms, 7in long from wrist to tip of middle finger.I only have one complaint there are no pull tabs Getting the first glove on and adjusting the Velcro is a snap The second glove is a little more tricky Because they are bulkier than standard riding gloves it's difficult to pull the other glove on, over your jacket and grabbing the Velcro tab if not un-Velcroed prior can be difficult to say the least. That's it, my only complaint and it's really not even all that bad Did I mention they are WARM If your riding in temps of 50 or up bring a second pair of non winter gloves cuz your hands will sweat.Seriously, buy these Your hands will thank youOh, and did I mention they are WARM

I bought these kevlar gloves because they were on closeout. I'd of preferred to have some color choices, but black goes with everything. Quality seems to be above other gloves I've had in the past at this price point. Sizing chart is spot on and they fit very well. I'm hoping they will last for a few riding seasons.

    Pros: Warm, waterproof, protective
    Cons: None

These gloves are warm, waterproof, and have some level of protection which is kind of hard to find in a winter gauntlet. I ordered these for when my Rev'it Monster gloves with some silk liners aren't cutting it. These fill the bill. They are warm. Have padding and a reinforced knuckle on a separate flap to allow better movement. The leather is surprisingly good quality. The gauntlet is long so it will easily fit over a jacket sleeve and prevent air from going up your sleeve on a cold ride. All in all these are a great deal on a pair of gloves with these kinds of features. I've tried some other sliders stuff and they are kind of hit or miss but these are a hit.

Good Gloves - Randy   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Warm, roomy, visible
    Cons: None yet

Hi future glove ownersI recently purchased these gloves and I rode with them today for the first time. So far, they are pretty good hand wrappers. I rode in 43 degree temps with a fairly high humidity and I ended up with my hands a little sweaty. That is a big change over the handsicles I usually have with my leather gloves. The ride home tonight promises to be even colder and I look forward to it. My wife bought me the Sliders Kevlar jacket and it with the gloves and I was toastyIf you have long sausages on your hands like I do, maybe order a size larger. This gave me the little extra room in the fingers so they weren't feeling crunched at the ends. I have yet to see how waterproof tthey are, as living in SoCal, there isn't much of the wet stuff. I'll update this when it rains and I have more miles on them.Just buy them. No, don't look elsewhere, just give them your money. You will thank yourself. You will say, self, thank you.

Ok, just bought these and immediately put them to the test....rode in 26F and there is a slight possibility that I did well over the 65 MPH speed limit I only did it so you won't have to...sh sh sh. What kind of review would this be otherwise Anyway, I love the curved form, but they are not so stiff that I got carpal tunnel syndrome extending for the clutch. Excellent construction with great protection. And they look KickA## As for the cold, naturally my fingertips got a little cold riding at said speed in 26F, but unless you wrap your hands in house insulation, you're gonna feel it a little. I did ride at about 37 and they were awesome. I have had some of the 'top of the line' winter riding gloves and PAID for them....these gloves are every bit as good if not better Do yourself a favor, don't put your bike away because it is below 60F Be a MAN for Pete's Sake....get these gloves and a pair of the riding pants too and take the old girl out for a spin at least three times a week....she'll thank you for it Vroom-Vroom

Excellent gloves, super warm, WATERPROOF - Matt Corrow   AR Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Excellent quality and fit. Warm, comfortable, waterproof, fits over my winter leather
Cons: 3m thinsulate liner is snug, may need to order 1 size up for thick fingers

First, let me start by saying that I don't normally trust in-house brands. Boy, was I wrong to make any assumption about these gloves. The leather is very supple and soft. There is external padding on the outer wrist and top of the hand, and a double-lined and double-stitched palm and pinky with additional padding on the knuckles. The gloves also feature reflective piping on the knuckles and the back of the hand, along with some expansion joints that really allow my hand to move freely. This was a very, very nice touch with a thicker winter glove and I appreciated it from the first ride.I've used some 'cheaper' gloves in the past and it seems that the cuff never fits over my leather jacket. These are an exception. I wear a thick leather jacket in the winter and the cuff of these gloves fits over with ease. There's a nice hook and loop strap to keep the glove in place as well.I can attest to the warmth and the fact that these gloves really do keep the water out, as it was raining and 40 degrees on my ride into work this morning. I could not be happier with these gloves and, at this price, these are way too good a deal to pass up. If you're looking for waterproof cold-weather gloves, these are an excellent choice and I don't think you'll come close to finding anything in the same price range that matches these, let alone beats them. Good job, Sliders

Pros: Price, Nice tight fit, Very warm, Good build quality
    Cons: None so far.

I ordered these gloves for riding 68 miles to work at 245am in northern Colorado. After the first day, 41 degrees and hiway speeds 75-85mph for an hour I love these gloves. The fit is nice and tight but a little stiff. I think they will break in over time and after a few miles I didn't notice the stiffness. My hand were warm enough for my palms to sweat on my non heated grips but the mosture was wicked away nicely and my hands did not get chilled. I hope I never need to test the safty features of these gloves but all of the padding and protection seems to be in the right places. I have tried on may other gloves at local bike shops but could not bring myself to spend 100 plus dollars on gloves. These feel every bit as nice as the more expensive gloves I tried.

Excellent glove for the price. Similar name brand gloves will run you 120 without the kevlar. They are quite thick gloves, not sure i would classify them as warm weather due to no ventilation. They are soft on the inside, well padded in key areas, leather is doubled up along pinky finger and back edge of the palm. Not necessarily cons, but so buyers are aware heavy padding, no ventilation, no grip on finger tips smooth leather, no tery cloth area for nose wipes.EXCELLENT kevlar riding glove for the price.

    Hilly Gorelick
Just received these gloves tonight, and I am extremely impressed. I have owned many gloves, and you can tell by stitching and material, that these are very well made. The knuckle armor is rock hard, the reflective material is highly reflective, and the leather is reasonably thick. With Kevlar, thinsulate, and hipora, this is an exceptional value. My fingers measure roughly 3 inches from base, pinky more like 2. In size large, the gloves fit me perfect, finger tips just touch the inner ends of gloves, though the pinky is about half inch longer, but I'm used to this. So id say they run a bit smaller, so order a size up if you are between sizes. They feel like they will keep your fingers warm and protected. I will use these when snowboarding as well. High vis is great looking and will help you be noticed, which is what you want. I will be buying more of these as gifts, and I have to say thank you to the staff at Compacc. You all do a great job, you are so helpful and professional over the phone, email confirmations come right away, and when I didn't get one email, I called, and 5 minutes later email arrived. This is clearly a well run company, and you have my continued loyalty. Thanks again, and happy holidays! Sincerely, hilly gorelick, ny.

Pros: Good looking, well designed and made, thick leather, good protection
Cons: Sized too small, will need some breaking in,

I originally ordered a pair of XL and a pair of 2XL Slider gloves because of past experience with mail order sizing problems. I've owned many pairs of Olympia Kevlar full gauntlent gloves in recent years in a XL size. The Slider XL sized gloves were way too small and the 2XL gloves were relatievely tight and had a badly sewn seam right along the index finger, so I returned both pairs. I liked the gloves otherwise, along with the sale price 39.99 so I re-order 2prs of 2XL. Even the 2XL sized gloves were tight in the fingers and around the wrist and I figured they would break in as I used them. I ended up pushing some large screw driver handles into the fingers and let them sit a couple days which fixed the tight fingers wo a break in period. I would reccomend these gloves.

Excellent value for cold weather. I wear them on my 45 minute commute to work. Temperature was 40 degrees F and only had a little coldness in the fingertips, but nothing bad. Very good fit but make sure you order a size larger than normal. I haven't had a chance to test the waterproof ability yet. For temperatures above 50 degrees F, these will make your hands too warm, so wear them in the morning and then stick them in your bags as the day gets warmer. Still a great deal for cold weather riding.

Got these as I ride in cold weather a lot. Took several trips in 36 and below weather. Fingers cold and burning in less than 15 miles. I do ride an adventure bike so no fairing for protection. During one brief rain they did not soak through. Do fit very snug in the hand but not fingers. Would be nice to get a liner glove, but even ordering up a size far too snug for that.As the directions say order up a size. Still for price and use they seem very good. Value seems reasonable for price.

Waterproof but not the warmest - iahmad16   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well made, waterproof, relatively comfortable, offers crash protection
Cons: Not as warm as expected

I ride a naked R1150R with a windshield that has minimal hand coverage. I have found these gloves to be warm down to the upper 30's but any colder and my finger tips freeze. With my heated grips on, my palms are fine but it is specifically the index and forefinger that get cold. It looks like the suede patches on the back of the index finger may be allowing more air into the glove than the other fingers. Also, as other reviewers have noted, the finger tips just don't have as much insulation as needed for true cold weather riding. The gauntlet on the glove is wide enough to fit over my Aerostich suit and does a good job of keeping out the cold air.The other day, I rode in 40 degree rain, with heated grips on. My hand stayed dry if a little chilled. The next day, when I used the same gloves, my fingertips were quite cold. Maybe the finger tips were still wet and thus didn't insulate as well The glove itself feels like a much more expensive piece of gear and looks like it is sufficiently padded to protect you in a fall. The strap to retain the gloves, one of the main reasons I bought this glove instead of the Cold Pro, seems like it will secure the glove from coming off, but you have to really tighten the strap to feel safe. My hand usually fits loosely into a large so I bought an XL...so now my hand fits loosely into the XL. I think I should have stuck with a large.Overall, the glove is a good value and I will keep it in my saddlebags for coldwet weather but I still need a warmer glove with impact protection.

    Pros: price, leather, quality, waterproof
Cons: tight fit, stiff, not as warm as I thought they would be

These gloves do run a little small. Most of my gloves are XL with one pair in large. I took a chance and ordered XL. They are very tight in the sides. I started to return them for an XXL but the finger length is perfect and I didn't want to chance a larger size having excess material at the finger tips that would get in the way when I'm grabbing for levers. And as others have said these gloves are stiff. But I've never had a winter glove in this price range that wasn't. Living in Fl. the coldest I've rode with these gloves was about 35 degrees. They seemed warm at first but after about 20 minutes I could feel the cold seeping through. They could be an all day glove in temps above 45, if the the size was right. Final thought. These gloves are good for my 30 minute ride to work in Florida for the winter.

Good for the price - Tanner   UT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Price kevlar reinforced
    Cons: Sizing guesswork light-medium insulation

These gloves are good for the money-not great. Having ridden with them, I probably would have opted to spend a little extra and go with another glove, but I'm not disappointed, either. As others have said, the sizing is off--I own the sliders trident gloves in a large and they're snug in finger length. When I bought these, I sized up two sizes to 2XL and they fit perfect in the finger length, and a tiny bit loose in the palm. Glove liners took up the slop. Not as much thinsulate in the fingers as I'd like, especially the tips. I tested them in 19 degree temps on a naked bike, and they did ok for short, slower stop&go. At 80 mph, my fingers were painful after 10 min. But those are extreme conditions. In temps above 30 & definitely 40, these will work well.

Pros: Good fit, well armored, very warm
Cons: stiff fingers, tendency to slide forward

I purchased these gloves for use during the relatively mild winters in SC and they have not let me down. They fit very well and are warm for my 40 minute commutes even into the high 20's. The construction appears solid and the armor is well placed. They are warmer and dryer than my Olympia GT's but not as comfortable for long rides due to bulk and flexibilty. They make for a stiff grip which can tire your hand if you have narrow bars. After using them for several months it is a little better but I don't think they'll ever break in like a set of leathers. When wearing a bulky coat for the cold weather the gloves have a tendency to slide forward on my hand, but not enough to cause any interferenceOverall very happy with the purchase. Would buy another set if I ever manage to wear these out.

    Pros: Good fit, flexible, warm
Cons: Not as warm as hoped. Size runs small

I really enjoy these gloves in upper 40's to 60 degree weather. The sizing runs small. I usually wear a large but took advice from previous reviews ordering an x-large which fit great. The gloves are excellent quality and a real value for the price. However, if you want to ride in 48 degree weather or below at speeds above 50 mph you will need a liner or heated gloves.

much better than the one i had - pablo   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: thick and full of protection
Cons: my hands still gets cold

for the price, this is a real deal. compacc makes a great product. the gloves will keep your hand warm... if you only ride for a few hours, but it will still get cold when you ride for a longer period of time. the wrist strap is favorable because i heard that when you crash and the gloves are loose, the safety feature looses its integrity, so for me, thats a BIG plus. it also has kevlar, which i hope i would not find out if it works or not. overall, i thought my quest for the really warm gloves is over i guess not. but dont get me wrong, it still warmer than my other bilt gloves. also... btw... make sure to break it in the first time it arrives your door. the gloves are very stiff and it will cramp your hands if you don't break it in first.

Pros: A Bargain, well made, choice of colors a plus, kevlar
Cons: As the ad warned, a bit on the small side for given size

Unless you're going the heated grips route, this is about as warm as you'll get. Have not had a chance to test the waterproof claim. Well made and comfortable, with Velcro flap for closure. As the ad warned, they are a bit on the small side per given size. My size is Large, but unsure I would have wanted to go up one size due to longer fingers, which I would not want.

Sliders Cold Pro Gloves - Sean   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good feel, fit and protection
Cons: Break in takes a minute.

I ordered these to replace my 10 year old cold weather gloves. I was skeptical at first because they are very light. One use laid that to rest. These gloves fit well and offer excellent feel of the bike's controls. I normally wear an XL glove and have known winter gloves to be a tad small due to the extra padding. These fit great. It took me a little while to break in these gloves to that kung-fu grip needed for good handle on the bars. I wore them around the house with my hands balled into fists and went on 2 or 3 rides around town before they stopped fatiguing my hands. They're good to go now.I've worn them in temps as low as mid-20 F and they perform well. After 45 minutes to an hour my fingers will start to get cold. I don't have heated grips or any heated gear so much past that in freezing temps is uncomfortable but if you're riding in temps that low for extended amounts of time you really should invest in heated gear. In mid-30 to 50 temps I can ride all day with no problems. Above 50 my hands will sweat so I need to switch to a lighter glove.I haven't ridden in any heavy rain yet so I haven't been able to fully test the waterproof capability of these gloves. Being an all weather rider in the PACNORWEST will surely test this soon tho. They have kept the water out in the light rain I have ridden in thus far.

good for 40s and above - bailey   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: The gauntlet style keeps the wind out of your sleeves perfectly
    Cons: [None]

The gloves fit well and take some getting used to due to the thickness of the glove. If the temperature is anywhere below 40F you won't even make it down the block without your fingertips getting cold. They do keep the main part of the hand somewhat warm though. Anything around 45 mph in 40 degree weather will cause discomfort after about 30 minutes or so.

Good bargain - Jeff   CO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Warm, protective, high viz
Cons: Lack of wrist closure strap, sized small

Was in the the market for a winter glove that had decent armor. Bought these gloves after reading the reviews. If you have chunky hands or long fingers definitely move one size up. Otherwise fit is snug but perfect I ordered my usual size. Gloves are a bit stiff out of the box, I had hoped for more curvature of the fingers but they are breaking in nicely. Wore them for a couple of hours riding in 40 degree temps, fingertips got cold towards the end but not freezing. Control feel was somewhat decreased with the insulation, but not compromised. I was told Sliders has since come out with a model that has a wrist strap - which helps but I never experienced any tendency for the glove to come off while riding.

Good kevlar gloves so far - ltd3   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warm, grippy, appear to offer good protection, kevlar
    Cons: [None]

Gloves are thick expected as they are wintercold weather gloves, but I'm still able to operate all my controls. They were fairly stiff, and not really pre-curved initially but after a couple of rides they are breaking in, and are holding a more curved shape, so much more comfortable. The palm and fingers are very grippy although the leather is slick-looking. the gauntlet is large enough to fit over my jacket's sleeves. I have not used them in wet conditions so don't know about how well they remain waterproof, but no wind gets in.I ordered XL though I typically wear a L and the XL gives some room without being too large. I don't know if the sizes run a little small or not but I figured I wanted them slightly big rather than too tight.

Great glove at its pricepoint - NWilliams   NV Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Price, warm in intermediate weather, easy on & off, comfortr, waterproof
Cons: This is NOT a cold weather glove, no rain squeegee on the thumb

Comfortable. Sizing is true to form with enough room for a liner if so inclined. Rode in sustained rain for about an hr on a BMW K1200LT and remained dry. Seems good quality after roughly a month of riding. Warm down to the low forties, but after 20 minutes fingertips were getting cold. I speculate liners could've cured that for another 5 degrees of so. This is NOT in the extreme cold weather league with Held, Tourmaster, Olympia, and others, but keeping its price point in mind it IS a solid cool to slightly cold weather glove value.

Great cool weather gloves - kawaC14   NJ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Excellent quality, plenty of padding and insulation, good protection
Cons: Less than adequate warmth in cold 32F and below weather

I ride 12 months a year to and from work, a 20 minute commute. Winter in the northeast is often below freezing for weeks. I needed to replace my older insulated gloves and, from the reviews, these looked like they were just what I wanted. I do not have heated grips and prefer not to mess with expensive heated gloves.Based on other reviews, and the advisory provided by CompAcc, I ordered a size larger, the 3XL and they fit perfectly. These are bulky gloves, so don't expect a normal tactile feel of lightweight gloves when operating turn signals or high beams. Their initial stiffness will soften up in time. On cool mornings 35-45F they provided decent warmth, about the same as my older insulated gloves. One morning, the outside temperature was 21F, and by the time I got to work, my fingers were cold. Keeping the gloves inside near my heating vent overnight, rather than in my cold garage, helps initially, but when the outside temp is below freezing, the fingers eventually get cold.In cold weather, I still prefer my snowmobile mittens which have kept my fingers warm even when riding when the temperature's in the single digits. These would more accurately be described as Cool Pro insulated gloves, and would be a good choice on rides above freezing temperatures.

Comfortable, but.... - Fred So. New Mexico   NM Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, flexible, protective, gauntlet is nice, well-made
Cons: Riding in 32 degrees today, hands were cold even with grip warmers on

I ride every day and the gloves have been comfortable, flexible and durable. There are no problems manipulating the controls on the bike. The gauntlet style is nice--high enough to go over my jack sleeve to keep air out. Haven't tested the protective features yet and don't intend to. Riding to work today in 32 degree weather, my fingers did get cold even though I had the grip warmers on. Another thin liner glove underneath these might do the trick. Sliders could add a little more insulation. Overall a good glove and great value.

    Pros: Fit, Comfort,Style
Cons: Velcro wrist straps could be a little longer to help them feel more secure

I was looking for a reasonably priced leather glove with a short gauntlet...these fit the bill and are very comfortable. I have worn them every ride since I got them and they are breaking in really well. I normally wear a 2XL but bought these a size smaller because all the previous gloves start to stretch over time but I was pleasantly surprised because these fit really nice to be a size down. My only complaint is that the straps around the wrist could be a bit longer so when I fasten the Velcro it would be more secure...Great Purchase and would recommend these to others.

    Pros: comfortable, warm, good protection,
Cons: thumb is a little tight, No wrap around velcro strap, just a cinch velcro closure.

These seem to be great gloves for cold weather riding. palms are thinner and have more sensory feel than my past thick gloves. The layered skins tend to really keep the wind from coming through and helps keep fingers warmer. The knuckles have a thick plastic protector on them that feels like they would really help in a slide. The wrist open up large enough to fit over my winter riding coat. The wrist don't pull tight around the coat as well as other pair but so far has not effected air leakage.I have not worn in the rain yet. Look like they will not leak but I have not tested.I'm 5-6 and 175 lbs. Short stubby fingers, medium fit me well.

Stiff build, solid glove - Michael Walter   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Great price, leather, breathable
    Cons: Very stiff, velcro positioning

I'm still working on fully breaking these gloves in, but they are very stiff in comparison to my first pair of gloves. They do allow a great amount of airflow and should be great for cool - warm riding. I'll be testing a cheap pair of cloth gloves from my local super store to see if it helps in the colder weather seasons. I have a slight limit to my range of motion with these gloves but I am sure once I've broken them in I'll have full range again.

    Cons: Sized a bit small

Bought the Sliders Trident leather gloves as my old gloves had just about had it. I usually wear a medium glove but could tell right away that these felt way more snug than other mediums I had bought. Decided to wear them for a while to see if they stretched out but no luck. So I gave them to my wife and bought another set in size large and they fit perfectly. They seem very well made and I thought the price was extremely reasonable compared to some other gloves with similar features. Overall very pleased.

    Pros: Seem well made
    Cons: Sizes run small

Just bought them and it is still in the 90s - 100 outside. Therefore, don't know yet how they will perform. Gave them 4 stars only on the basis of fit. However, I'm sending in this review to comment that they run small, even compared with other motorcycle gloves. I have a pair of summer gloves I bought in a brick & mortar store. Size XL. I figured I'd be OK buying these in XL largest size available when I ordered. However, after trying them on I could probably use XXL as the fingers are a bit short - but wearable. For the price I'll keep them and hope, as one reviewer said, they break in and will loosen up a bit. On the plus side I think the long cuff will be a big advantage as temperatures drop.

    Pros: Comfortable, feel durable
Cons: Finger length is a bit short

These gloves are great, but, for the price, I had hoped they would fit perfectly. Don't get me wrong-these are comfortable gloves, but the finger length is about 18-14 too short. I worried after getting them, because the short fingers made them a little uncomfortable, but after a few rides, they are broken in and feel pretty good despite a snug fit in the length. They fit very well everywhere else. The padding seems to be sufficient, and the leather is soft.

    Pros: Comfort & performance
    Cons: Quality

I wore these about 6 times before the warm weather got here, none in the rain. You definitely need to go a size larger than normal, I had to return them for an XL. Comp-A was great about that.Temps I used them in ranged from about 60 to 35. On the 60-degree days they were almost too warm. On the 35-degree days they were great the only time my hands were cold was the day I left them with the bike in my unheated garage. My hands are pretty exposed on my Sprint ST, so they normally get cold but were fine with these gloves. My comment about quality comes from noticing that the suede on the back of the left thumb has started to come off. Now I guess I get to find out how the 1-year warranty works.

First impression was nice, tough stuff Then I tried them on and thought oh crap I have to send them back They were quite tight, to the point of slowing circulation. I really want to give this glove another star but I can't. The glove fits great although it runs a half size small. Hand measures on the high end of a medium and the large fits perfect. The glove is very well built and I like the glove part better than the other Sliders I own Escape, Cold Pro. So what is wrong I hate the gauntlet The two flaps are difficult to deal with and the gauntlet doesn't work well for me under or over the sleeve of my jacket. Perhaps they may work better with my summer gear but the Escape works better for me. Unfortunately, I like the glove part of the Trident better than the Escape. Soo close...

Cons: not as warm as advertised

bought these thinking that I would be able to ride in the 30's and my hands would stay warm. Nope. I have a half hour commute on an unfaired bike in the morning, and 10 minutes in, my hands were chilly, especially in the fingers and palms around the grips, and the tops of the fingers in the front. No heated grips on the bike, but that probably would help immensely. For my commute, the chill is tolerable, but I wouldn't want to be riding in the cold all day for sure. They also are pretty stiff when you first get them, but they seem to be breaking in with time. I hope that they don't go from broken in to broken down at the same time. I'd recommend for riding in the 40's and up, but the 30's is too cold for just the glove.

Nice gloves for the money. They do a good job at keeping my hands down to about 32 degrees. They are however a lot warmer than my Alpinestar Apex Drystar. They are a little bulkier but you get use to it after a couple of rides. Palm protection seems OK. I haven't crash tested them yet to I can't say how they will hold up. My only gripe is the gauntlet strap. It's not much to it really so it doesn't cinch down like some other gauntlet gloves I've seen. For someone on a budget these are a home run for some winter gloves. Thanks Competition Accessories for the great prices on these gloves.

Best winter glove value - JCinNC   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fit, comfort, cold weather ability, visibility
Cons: Gloves come off too easily

At the price CompAcc sells these gloves at, it was worth a try. I've already got another high-dollar, high-end glove from a major manufacturer to compare them against. I really feel like the Sliders Cold Pro gloves offer almost everything the other gloves does at less than half the cost I commute in the dark this time of year, so I got the high-viz orange. Combined with the large reflective patch these gloves really stand out - perfect when dealing with unwary cagers. The gloves fit great. They're well insulated, so they're a little bulky and you lose some feel and dexterity, but they're still very functional and comfortable. I've had them at interstate speeds in the mid-30s and they work great on my completely exposed sportbike. Throw on some glove liners, turn the grip heaters on and I'm good to go now The stitching and overall quality of materials and craftsmanship of the glove is pretty good. The gloves have good protective features with the extra leather layers and padding in the high-wearimpact areas and with the hard knuckles. My biggest complaint is that even when securely strapped on, I can just pull the gloves off. Surely a simple velcro hook and loop fastener at the wrist would solve this issue Beside that shortcoming, I think that, for the money, this is arguably one of the best winter glove values out there.

Bought glove based on other reviews. I'm pleased overall but would change a few things. Ordered correct size but they are a bit snug which doesn't help with warmth. However to go up a size would mean fingers would be overly long. For the price and function I'm not complaining.

warm and dry - B. D. Chambers   MN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: good price, good fit, warm, keeps the wet out.
    Cons: none so far

They just arrived yesterday, and since I'm practicing wet-weather riding prior to moving to Seattle, I decided to give them a try. Temps were in the 40s with drizzle and rain, which used to mean driving, but not anymore. The fit is nice-not as snug as my A-Stars Tech-Road GTX, which are almost too snug but roomy enough for good movement. I bought medium as I usually do, and the sizing seems perfect. I used the right glove to wipe the seat dry, and it seems the waterproof membrane works. My middle finger on that hand seemed a bit cooler than the others, which maybe due to being wet on the outside. Otherwise, hands were warm and dry. I don't intend to intentionally crash-test them, but so far they pass all other tests. My only complaint is that the Hi-Viz isn't available in medium the reflective patch will have to do

sliders kevlar gloves - kevin57   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: seem to be well made, warm, should provide good protection, I hope...
Cons: none really. very stiff cause they are new, should break in with time

This is my first pair of gauntlet type gloves. They expand well and I have no problem getting these over my jacket. They are warm, have ridden them in the spring in the adirondack mountains. The leather seems to be of good quality, although the tag inside states that the gloves are 50 leather and 50 nylon woven fabric. Hard to see which is which... There is some raised padding over the knuckles and upper back of the hand. Also the gloves have some reflective stripes which catch the light at night. My only gripe is that the gloves are quite stiff. I am sure they will soften up with use, but buyers should be aware of this issue. Overall I am pleased with them.

    Fritz.
First, sizing.... I usually wear large in gloves. So i ordered large and when they arrived thought the finger length was too short. especially in the left ring finger, due to the armor on that finger pinching on that finger's middle knuckle when i made a tight fist. but when holding on to the handle bars no problem. i decided against trading up since that part of the gloves are leather and would probably stretch out a bit after break-in. sure enough, after walking around the house with them on a couple of days and constantly making tight fists they feel fine now.
comfort.... all i can say is, that lining feels so cushy. a little bulky when using the hand controls but nothing one can't get used to. and for winter/insulated gloves it's to be expected.
warmth.... the first morning i used them outside temps were about in the mid-upper 40F. after a 25 min. commute on a sportbike @ speeds above 70mph, hands felt fine. not warm but definetly NOT cold. very next morning was colder by at least 10F. same commute, same speeds and hands were just cool but both middle finger tips were cold and slightly numb.
i don't usually ride in temps that cold on 2nd day, just wanted to see how well they do their job.

very pleased with these gloves so far, will see how they perform over the winter. these definitely extend my riding season a lil longer.

Pros: Looks like they are made good.Nice accents and padding.
Cons: These gloves are sized small, you may need to upsize to get a good fit.

Nice gloves, though sized a bit small. I normally wear a LXL depending on the brand. I can make the one I have work though they will probably still be somewhat tight, after a long break in period. I still would recommend these.

Okay for 40 plus temp and above - Herm   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Nice fit, like the protection.
Cons: Not go for below 40 temps

Well this is the second time I had a chance to wear them for a ride during this winter. The first time was right after I got them and the weather was starting to turn to the cold size here in NJ. I was going church which is about a 45 to 50 min ride from the house. One of those sunny but cold mornings around 38. Well they were good until about 15 mins into the ride and then the fingers got cold. The rest of the gloves kept my hands warm but the fingers not so well. But for todays ride for the same distance they were great Temp was at around 40 and on the way home around 52. So depending on the ride and distance and weather they are about a 3s star for me on a non heated glove. THey be different on someone else but for me so far they are okay.Am looking into some hand guards to help cut the air flow during the winter rides to see if that would give them a 4 or five starOh my bike is a 2013 Triumph Rocket 3.

Good For Price - V Rider   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Waterproof, pretty good protection, wrist fastener
    Cons: Not for 'real' cold

I bought these to replace my winter gloves whose insulation was very compacted. These are reasonably priced and seem to have good protection. My only issue is that the finger tips seem to have virtually no insulation so on days where it's below 50 my hands can start getting cold on my commute and even adding an inner glove doesn't help much below say 45. It might simply be some air getting past the seams so I will try sealing them. Granted, it's a lot to ask a non electric glove to keep your hands warm for 20 minutes ridng below 50 so maybe I expected to much for the . Still a very good value for cool weatherwaterproof gloves.

disappointed - mpfrank   Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: warm, comfortable off the bike
    Cons: stiff

These gloves feel nice to put on, and the sizing is good I ordered one size larger, and they are warm, but they are so stiff that I can't comfortably grip the throttle and I have Grip Puppies installed. They are described as having Kevlar protection, but the Kevlar is only on the small piece between the thumb and first finger, not the whole palm. Also, the elastic on the wrist closure makes it hard to get the glove secure enough for me to feel confident about a crash in them.

Not Cold Weather gloves - Steve   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Great protection
Cons: Snug, Not for real cold weather.

I have used these gloves for a few weeks. I use these gloves for my 30 minute commute to work. I ride at highway speed for about 12 of my ride. They work well to keep my fingers warm only when the temp is above 40 degrees. They are bulky but as I use them more they seem to be breaking in and getting better to use. I have not had a chance to test them in the rain but who plans to ride in the rain. I like that these gloves have Kevlar and knuckle protection in case of mishaps. Order the gloves one size larger than they say. Ride safe.

Pros: they seem to be durable but will have to wait and see
Cons: they only keep your hands warm to about 36 degrees

they slider gloves are thick but it grips the handle bars fine. i rode with them from joshua tree ca. to salt lake city and they seem to hold up ok. they show a little wear but time will tell. as far as them being totally warm, well as long as the heated grips work they will be fine till you get to temperatures not less then 36 degrees. the back of my hands were cold. had to put on another pair of gloves for them to keep my hands from freezing. as far as water proof, that did not happen. would i refer them to someone else, that will be questionable. i do like the hard knuckers.

Good Protection, Poor Insulation - Lee M.   NJ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Style, Hi-Viz, Wrist Straps, Knuckle Protection
    Cons: Bulk, Poor Insulation

First off, let me say I'm not one who's hands get cold easily. Most winters here in NJ, I won't bother with gloves unless I'm going to be outdoors for awhile. I bought these as an 'upgrade' to my previous cold-weather gloves Joe Rocket Nitrogen, which always kept my hands warm on the bike even my old bike wo heated grips, though I wish had better protection for the fingers and knuckles. My current bike is a Tiger800 with Barkbuster handguards and OEM heated grips. Size seems to run a bit large. When I first opened these, I liked the construction, including the knuckle protectors and the cuff, which I usually wear over my jacket. The HiViz was also nice to have while still maintaining a bit of style. They were a bit bulky, but on the bike the bulk didn't really affect the feel of the controls much, which is a good thing. The worst thing is that the bulk does not seem to translate into warmth. Last weekend, I had to stop 30min into a 2 hour trip in 40 degree weather to put on a pair of glove liners I was thankful I brought along, and even then my hands were still cold for the rest of the trip. With the cold snap here in NJ, I tried them again last night on a short 20min ride at around 30 degrees wo wearing the liners, and though I was OK, I wouldn't have wanted to be out much longer with them. The bulk also seems to insulate them more from the heated grips on the bike, which I can barely feel with these gloves on.I was considering returning them, but I had just thrown away the tags, so I guess I'm stuck with them. I was really looking forward to these being a good, reasonably priced glove based on reviews I read about other Slider gloves. In my opinion, the temperature range that these would be comfortable in would be 45 degrees and above, but at 45 degrees, I'm still OK with wearing my Held perforated leather 'summer' gloves, so what's the point

    Cons: Fingers are tight

Ok I've been waiting all summer for these to be back in stock. Got them, and compared to my other slider gloves the material in the fingers is too tight.same size and the finger length is good. I'm in the ski industry and a tight glove means cold hands. I wish a motorcycle company would use primaloft and put more on the back of the hand where we need it. Especially with heated grips and so we can feel the grips. Look worthy if you have slender fingers

    Pros: Price point, construction
Cons: sizing is hit or miss

I haven't used these in cold weather yet, but they seem well constructed and should be warm enough for an hour or 2 at a time in cold weather. I regularly ride in temperatures down to the 20s. Order AT LEAST 1 size larger than you normally wear. If I wear these outlose them or whatever, I'll order another pair 2 sizes larger.

Pros: Beautifully made, great buy, reflective panel, available in Hi Viz
Cons: Under 40 degrees.....not so hot, giant Sliders logo

These are beautifully made gloves, with smooth, soft leather and nice stitching. Fit is snug....but I'm sure they'll break in over time. Only negative....sub 40 degree temps and your fingers get cold on the freeway within 15 miles or so. Since I live in Northern Cali it's not a huge problem, but I do ride home from work a couple of nights a week and it's been getting down to the 30's here. My old Joe Rocket Nitrogen gloves are warmer. Hate the logo-not only is it very large but it lacks any style whatsoever. Still.....there's very few choices of cold weather Hi Viz gloves out there and for 40 these are a steal

Meh - Ken M Can   MA Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: [None]
Cons: runs small, cheap knuckle protectors easily break

I'm a medium size and ordered large based upon previous reviews. Good thing because for my relatively small fingers the large is a snug fit. One of the gloves dropped to the garage floor and the clear plastic knuckle protector cracked as a result. I cannot understand how this plastic can provide any amount of protection and cannot help but wonder if this is some cheap gimmick. Padded leather would be better over the knuckles. Maybe the fit is too tight and that is why my fingers get cold in 25-35 degree temps without heated hand grips on. Seamfabric construction seems okay so far but I haven't really used them enough to be certain. Somehow I just don't feel they are quite worth the money at this point 45 on sale. Perhaps after some break-ingreater use I'll feel differently.

Not as great as I thought - Tomas   IL Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: Good fit, good looking glove
    Cons: Poor quality

I bought these gloves due to the low price and because they offered the same protection as gloves that cost 30 more. However, after giving them a good review after one or two rides, the stitching on the inside of my left pinky finger came completely off, exposing my finger. I wasn't hard on the gloves, kept them stored in the plastic bag that they came in, and on top of everything on my closet shelf when not in use. On the couple of rides that I took them on, when I was off of the bike, I carried them, and I'm sure that I ordered the correct size. So what made the stitching come completely loose I would say poor quality control, because I have another pair of Sliders gloves that I've been using since these came apart, and they are holding up well. I wouldn't recommend buying these due to the fact that they didn't last more than two rides under normal riding and that you can get a better pair just by waiting for a closeout sale on better made gloves.

Great Potential, weird sizing - Crater   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Price, good design, quality and materials
    Cons: Sizing, sizing, sizing

It's too bad that these gloves come so close to being the perfect cold weather glove I've been searching for all these years. The cuff perfectly fits over my jacket sleeve and the velcro adjustment on it is easy to use and effective. However, the sizing is not even close to porportional. Every glove I've ever purchased was a size large, I had to buy these in Extra large, yet the fingers were extremely tight and I do not have big fingers or hands. The tips of my fingers pressed against the glove fingertips which created cold spots and prevented my hands from comfortably holding the grips. It's too bad, I really wanted to give these gloves five stars, especially after reading all the positive reviews. I have tried a temperate weather Sliders glove with fitment issues. Large was too small and in that case, extra large was waaaaaay too big. The factory in Pakistan needs to get a better handle on standardizing their glove patterns.

    Pros: Good Hi-Viz
Cons: Too bulky, not well insulated

I've worn these gloves a few times now and I'm not impressed with them considering I bought them for spring riding in Massachusetts. My ride to work is a little over an hour, both back roads and some city driving as I cross Worcester from west to east. I found that at approx 40 degrees, i was freezing my hands off...really cold...and I had glove liners on under these gloves In stop and go traffic my left hand was severely cramping due to the force I had to exert to pull in my clutch lever. Considering that these are motorcycle gloves, operating the controls easily is the #1 important feature, and I feel that these gloves failed at doing that. The price was decent, but these gloves failed to perform...

Decent for high 40's and above - Cali motorcyclist   CA Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: Protective knuckles, high gauntlet
Cons: No good under 40 degrees, bulky,

I bought these gloves after reading all the great reviews saying these gloves keep your hands warm in 40's, 30's weather. I call BS They hold up for the first 10-15 minutes after that you start to feel your fingers getting cold then numb. They're good for high 40's and above but low 40's and below they're worth ish. There are some reviews saying these are good in the 30's that rider is lying probably works for compacc. For how bulky these gloves are I expected more but there are less bulky gloves which will give you the same results or better. I even wore glove inserts but still didn't help I can imagine without em I would feel the cold after 5 minutes of riding. The only thing I liked bout these gloves is the knuckle protection and the high gauntlet which covers the wrist nicely enough to tuck your jacket sleeve in. The knuckle protection even though looks good it feels like strong plastic which I do not know how good that would hold up. For the price I regret buying em and will be asking for a refund. They're no good even as regular gloves standing in the cold, after 15 minutes my hands are numb. I live in cental Cali and the morning cold weather drops to 17-25 foggy. Spend your money else where on some thick leather cold weather gloves or go for heated gear. All you previous reviewers who said these gloves are great for cold, try using em in low 20's high 10's going 60-70 mph and tell me if they hold up after 5 minutes. Waste of my time and money.

Bought these for a ten day trip to Colorado. Wore them one time for a day trip from Gunnison to Pikes Peak. Left Thursday morning in 36 degree clear weather. A few miles out of town changed out of my shorty gloves into the Sliders. Stopped on topof Monarch Pass and had to thaw my hands out behind my exhaust. These gloves did absolutely nothing to keep my hands warm. I also would recommend gooing up two sizes if you do decide to purchase a pair of these gloves. Put the shorty's back on and continued on with no more issues. Very surprised that these gloves were so terrible at keeping my hands warm.
