excellent jacket - Awesome value   MS Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: pockets, pockets, pockets
    Cons: it is heavy.

I have five or six cycle jackets and since buying this the rest have been hanging in the closet. I have the high visibility yellow. It is bright and gets people's attention. Whenever I pause and look at the details of the jacket I am astounded that I bought such features and craftsmanship for 150. It is a far better value than my other jackets. I commute 15 miles and have ridden in it from 30-65 degrees and with the liner have been consistently comfortable in it. It is heavy, but I take comfort in that because I know I am wearing that much more protection. I normally wear a large, I bought an XL and the fit is perfect. Nice long sleeves This is not just a deal, it is a quality deal If you're looking for a great jacket then this is it.

slideradvjacket - Dave   KS Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: good jacket for a decent price
Cons: Sleeves seem a little tight and back protector feels stiff

So far I like the jacket but haven't had a chance to test it in the wet. In the low 40's without the thermal liner it is good with just a light sweat shirt. The sleeves seem slightly snug and I can feel the back protector which I've never felt on any previous jackets but at least it's there and doing the job. Sizing might be the issue as I fell between a medium and large and went with the medium. I like having the 34 length again because I've been wearing a mesh jacket with rain liner and just wasn't warm enough in the 40's and lower. If you're on a tight budget this is a good buy and I'd also recommend the hi viz version . You will be visible vs. invisible.

Sliders Adventure Jacket - Ed   MA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: fit, protection, color
    Cons: none so far

Have been wearing the jacket for a couple of weeks. It's comfortable, fits well and has pockets galore. The pockets are well designed to keep out rain and the air vents in the jacket work well when the liner is not in. For cold Fall mornings in New England it's warm enough with just a t-shirt under it. In the 60-70 degree afternoons, I take the liner out, stuff it in a saddle bag, open the vent zippers and I ride home protected, visible bright yellow and cool enough. Bought it on sale and got good value for the price.

They've thought of everything - Jim933   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Durable, Good wind and water repelency, warm down to 30F highway speeds
Cons: Can be too warm on Hot Humid days when not moving Minor complaint

I've owned the 2013 version of this jacket in Hi Vis now for 2 years. I am very impressed with Sliders and would not hesitate to purchase anything from this brand I also have Adventure pantsProsI weigh 230-240 lbs at 5'10 male with a bit of a gut and the XL fits great with and without liners. It's actually a still bit roomy even with the liners. Many people have commented on the long sleeve lengths in Sliders, and this is no exception. The sleeves will come down to the middle of my hand but this is not as big an issue for me as it may be for others. I like the extra length and have used it to snug down on the cuffs of cold weather gloves. The Hi-Vis color is still Hi Vis after two years. The fabric on the inside forearm is starting to pill a bit, but this does not affect performance.I've had it out in chilly downpours and frosty nights and have been very impressed with its ability to block highway speed wind and rain. The 2013 version has a thin nylon hood which could be helpful in keeping rain from running down neck. I've never used it and only had a bit of water dampen my collar during a chilly spring downpour one night.Love all the pockets. I've never lost anything out of the pockets, even if left accidentally unzipped at highway speed.Zippers, snaps and velcro sturdy with good positive closure. I like the fact you can unzip from the bottom...makes sitting on my tour bike comfortable. The jacket has a sturdy zipper in the back for fastening into pants if you want.Lining The lining zips out and is relatively thick. Comfortable down to 50's with just a t-shirt. Easily comfortable if wearing layers for cold weather. The shell stops the wind, the liner also stops what gets past the shell. I like the fact that the liner has color coded hook and loop arrangements that match similar inside the sleeves for re-installation so it does not accidentally get put back in inside out.Vents...there are vents everywhere On the chest, under arms, two on back, two collar bone vents, wrist. These provide good airflow at speed, and can cause the jacket to balloon a bit at highway speeds, especially if the back vents are not open. The jacket is hot when standing in traffic on hot humid days high 80's-to low 90's ...I'm considering a Sliders mesh for the really hot summer daysConsI really don't have any major complaints but I'll list the couple that I can think of.The jacket is heavy...but I would expect this and it adds a bit of confidence as it feels sturdy and it really is a moot point if you are wearing it while riding but if weight is a big consideration then this jacket may not be quite what you want.Velcro neck fastener..when the neck draft flap is open there is a velcro tab that wants to hang up on the fabric and chin guard of my helmet. I solved this by finding a piece of velcro to lock into the exposed velcro tab.Zipper pulls. Sliders has these cool pulls on all the zippers, but they come off rather easily after a time. I solved the problem by getting replacement pulls in a camping supply department of a Big Box retailer. The replacements are easier to grab when wearing gloves and they cost very little for a set.It is obvious that Slider's is a supplier that knows the needs of motorcycle market. I would never hesitate to purchase or recommend this name brand and in fact hold it as the standard to which other name brands are compared.

Awesome, versatile jacket - MW   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: A LOT of vents I have ridden in 80 temps and did not roast and I roast easily.
Cons: Too many vents Snaps on sleeves do not stay snapped.

I am truly amazed at this jacket. It fairly fits my weird body shape short, pudgy, big butt and is pretty comfy. I do not roast in hot weather due to the many vents and cross ventilation. If you want it to be waterproof, you need to check and make sure each one is closed.Pockets a plenty--inside and outside.Great bargain.

Ready for Heavy Adventure - Rick1013   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Kevlar, pockets, venting, style and COLOR
Cons: Heavy, stiff... I can't imagine needing to wear the liner no matter how cold it gets

I was in need of a 34 length armored riding jacket to replace a variety of other riding jackets I own. I came upon the Sliders Adventure Jacket video while doing online research. As an ATGATT rider and a general cheap-skate I ride a KLR afterall, I wanted a quality jacket at a good price. I hoped the Sliders Adventure Jacket would meet my requirements.I have had the jacket for two weeks and am really pleased with my choice. I selected the hi-viz version, as much of my riding is in city traffic. I already wear a hi-viz helmet, but this jacket makes me visible from low-earth orbit While I am never going to trust that a driver has actually seen me, this jacket is certainly going to help. It is unbelievably bright.I wore the jacket into the office the other morning and one of our website developers told me, Wow No cars are going to miss you in THAT Then she hesitated and said, Actually, I guess cars ARE going to miss you in THAT, which is exactly why I chose hi-viz yellow. The padding and armor in this jacket seems heavy and is thicker than that in some of my other riding jackets. I wasn't particularly shopping for Kevlar, but it's an added bonus that might contribute to the overall heavy weight of this jacket.Next on my list is a pair or silver Sliders Adventure pants. I own a nice black pair of riding pants, but they get hot in sunny summer weather. I think the silver will keep me cooler without sacrificing protection.Overall, the Sliders Adventure Jacket is one of the best under 200 buys I have made for motorcycling. Safe, stylish and visible from the International Space Station. You can't beat that.

Nice Jacket - Lostintexas   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Good quality
Cons: Sleeves are a little tight

I ride where it gets hot. I look for specific things to make that comfortable. Sleeve openings are wide, very nice for getting air in there. Plenty of vents strategically placed. Good construction. Some say the jacket is heavy, and it is, but not worth being annoyed over. The description cays it has a foam back pad . Well that pad is foamish but is a level one CE back protector. Much better than what usually comes in most jackets.A couple of nitsChest vents aren't great behind a windshield. I figured this from the start so just something to think about. Air doesn't flow back there.Sleeves, well I read about this and mine seem snug. Without the liner they are fine, with it they are a little tight. Use 14 inch more material on each side of the sleeve and make some room. Sizing is consistent. I've had several Slider jackets and wear an XL in most dress type jackets and coats. For some reason MC jackets tend to run a size small. XXL is great for me. Here is an interesting find. My other Slider, and other things over the years have had a universal zipper for the jacket to pants connection. This one doesn't work. They look very close but don't work with one another. Not a problem but seemed strange. FWIWAll in all it is something I have come to expect from Sliders. Good quality, well thought out for the most part, and hope it lasts well.

Surprisingly good, but.... - Jakhack   MN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fit well, liked the design, hi vis color really works
    Cons: much too small sleeves

I got this because it was on sale and had a very attractive price. I also wanted a high visibility jacket and the yellow certainly is. Unlike most competitive brands, It was also available in Tall sizing. The jacket fits well, but as other reviewers have commented, the sleeves are way too small. I can wear it, but they are tighter than I would have liked and it will limit what I can wear underneath it.But I got it for the visibility and safety and it has already paid off. On my very first ride, I came to the intersection of the back road I live on with the main highway. A car was approaching from the right to turn left onto the back road where I was sitting at the stop sign. When it became obvious that he was cutting the corner so sharply that he was going to hit me, it was too late to ride out of danger and I was about to bail off. But about halfway into his turn, he looked my way and obviously saw me for the first time. He looked startled and swerved wide, missing me by only 3 feet as he went by. I was astounded and realized that he had finally seen me because of the high vis color. So despite the poor sleeve design, I give still this a 5 start rating because it saved me and my bike from what would have been a bad accident.

Probably only HD rider with hi vis green, but... - dynajim   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warm down to 36 F, lots of vents for warm weather, hi Vis Green VERY visible, secure pockets for everything, well made
Cons: really cannot think of anything

I got a 2013 tourmaster in Hi Vis green in 2013. Did not wear it much and I have to admit it was only because of vanity. I felt a bit dorky riding a Harley looking like a high speed traffic cone...stupid and vain I know but I soon came to appreciate it when I noticed drivers waiting to pull out of side streets, parking lets, etc taking a double take as I came down the road and I have to conclude it's not because of the bike. I REALLY appreciate it on those overcast days or just around late sun down when alot of cars still do not have headlights on but a rider in a black jacket would be tough to see.I really like this jacket...tough durable pockets everywhere including a nice interior.Interior liner zips in not snaps like cheaper jackets and kept me nice an warm on a late night ride at highway speeds when the temp was 36 F out and I was only wearing a short sleeved shirt.Large zipper at tail for zipping into riding pants haven't used it yet, but it works well with the slider's brand pants I also bought as well as a different brand.I'm 5'10 and when I bought it got a 2XX because I weighed 240...figured I needed the extra room, esp if wearing a heavy shirt and hoodie underneath. A year later down to about 200-205 and it fits better now without being swimmingly too big...the jacket has Velcro straps to adjust waist line and does so nicely. For those looking for the correct size, I would def suggest getting a size or two larger than a regular jacket. The jacket adjusts and its nice to have some extra roomOnly complaint...and this is so minor it's really not a the zipper pulls. They are a bit skimpy, especially if wearing winter-weight gloves and some have have come off. Really not a big deal, since a set of 4 can be bought at Walmart for under 2.Highly recommend and yes, I'd recommend the high vis because even if one feels a bit dorky standing out like that, you'll really appreciate it the first time you see a car pulling out in front of you do a double take and suddenly slam on brakes because they SAW you

AZ - Sonny   AZ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well made, lots of armor, heavy, tons of pockets and vents.
Cons: Heavy, sizing is off .. sleeves are tight with the liner or without.

This is a second review now that I've had the coat awhile. If you have small children or pets don't park this coat where it could fall on them .. it could cause serious injury LOL It really is heavy but I'm not finding it a problem. I went for a long ride yesterday and it was windy and chilly at 65F .. I shut all the vents on the coat and was comfortable .. on the way back it got warmer so I opened vents and again was comfortable. At 6' and 220 lbs the 2XL-T was too big .. the 2xl would have been fine. I just had to fiddle with sleeves a bit longer then I'm used to.This is a 3 season coat. I live in Tucson, AZ and I know I won't be wearing this in the Summer .. way too hot .. but I didn't buy it for Summer but for the 3 seasons. You won't regret buying one of these.

Great Jacket - Kurt Woodham   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Pockets, warmth, ventilation, fit, etc...
    Cons: None yet

I'm 6-7 and wear XL - tough to find things that fit. The XL-Tall fit was amazing - so nice to have sleeves that hit the middle of my hands instead of the middle of my forearms. Also torso fit is great - coat extends down to my seat. First jacket I've owned that should come with a course on how to wear it - so many features. Good armor - high visibility yellow. Great asset for safety.

Transitional weather gear. - F800GSrider   NV Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Full features, diverse, comfortalbe and well made from nice materials.
    Cons: None.

When riding in temperatures lower than about thirty degrees Fahrenheit, this jacket gets pretty cold yes I rider when it's a lot colder than that. The sleeves don't leave a lot of room to add any layers but a heated liner would surely reverse the condition entirely because you can feel only a small amount of air venting through the jacket even with everything closed up tight and that's all it takes to make you cold when the temperature gets below freezing. As for venting, the jacket has a ton of vents and when the weather starts warming up, this will be the perfect jacket which is what I intended using it for when I ordered it. The jacket also has a lot of pockets, reflective material and other nice features like a small pocket on the sleeve marked for medical related information which could save your life if you have and allergies to medication. The hood is nice but just note that if you want to wear a balaclava with it, you will have to wear it over the balaclava. The armour covers more surface than typical armour but the back pad is not the best one and is not CE rated. For the ultimate protection you could remove it and wear the jacket over an armoured vest with a D3O back pad which is what I'll do on my adventure rides. Perfect in in every way considering my intended use.

Well made great fit - kenru   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well made, great fit, warm, kevlar, great value
    Cons: None

Although I haven't put too much time in this jacket yet, I am impressed with it construction, quality of materials and warmth. For the price, this is a great value.

Sliders Adventure Jacket - Joe   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Lots of pockets, sturdy material , wind proof and jacket fits well.
    Cons: sleeves a little tight

I love this jacket I looked at previous reviews, called CS to get an idea of jacket size and ordered a large. I'm 6'2, 190 lbs and usually wear a medium tall or 34 sleeve length. A large fits me very well and doesn't allow much for layering with the sleeve length being perfect. Being not real muscular I found it odd the sleeves were tight with the elbow pads in. It is hard to beat the quality of this jacket for the price.

Nice jacket, good protection - Don   AL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Armor placement, fit
Cons: Orange color is not as bright as it could be

Purchased this after looking for a longer touring jacket but also wanting a high visibility orange color. This jacket is well made and warm when tried on a 40 degree ride. The orange color is orange, but not as bright as other high-visibility orange jackets I have. Only other complaint is the hookloop fastener at the front of the collar seems to be placed a little high to fully fasten while in a riding position. This would probably be better accomplished with a snap, or a longer tab. This jacket is very heavy, which is indicative of the level of protection it affords in my opinion. I ordered a large as I am 6' and 185lb and it fits well.

This kevlar jacket is an engineering marvel - Brad S   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: fit, function, protection, visability, comfort, feature rich, kevlar
    Cons: none

Last month a friend of mine went down doing 70mph on a major highway. He didnt break any bones but he had serious road rash EVEN THOUGH he was wearing a motorcycle jacket. His jacket had no Kevlar and it had minimal pads. The asphalt chewed through the shell and pads instantly and his skin was literally flayed off of his body. I needed a way to emotionally adjust to the incident, so I choose to opt for the new apparel therapy, and hence, my new Adventure kevlar jacket. This jacket is fresh off the press brand new to the market. I just received my new jacket this afternoon after a long 3 week back order. It was worth the wait This jacket is an engineering marvel. Someone spent a lot of time thinking through intricate zipper placement, waterproofing strategy, and protective strengths. When you put this one for the first time it feels like youre stepping into the bowels of a Sherman tank without looking like you did. You get a sense of being secure without the feeling of being encumbered. Size was true to fit with a little extra wiggle room.If Im going to hit the pavement and slide for a few hundred feet, I want something like this on my upper body. While I own a full AeroStitch Michelin Suit, Id put this Sliders Adventure jacket up against it any day. It has more options for everything. More vents. More pockets. More protection. And believe it or not, it is more comfortable.Plus, this jacket is waterproof as tested on a wet, cold October day. No leaks period. The arms are tapered to easily fit inside of my glove gussets. The jacket is long enough to cover my riding pants without a wet stripe where they meet.Sliders keeps knocking it out of the park with their private label items keep up the good work and thanks in advance for protecting my hide

2015 Sliders Adventure Jacket - Cowboy   UT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Nicely made jacket especially at the price point, velcro showed no signs of wear during
Cons: the only nit pick I would mention was some chaffing at the neck by the velcro neck closure

The jacket was worn for seven days in rain, snow and cold second week of November, I stayed dry andfairly comfortable, I don't recall how many times I removed the jacket for coffee, lunch and of course nightly motel stops. the velcro fasteners did not show any signs of wear. The jacket was an extra largeand fit my 5-11, 190lbs perfect. It was a good fit on my BMW K1300S. I wore it last weekend and feltso so on my Ducati, as it felt big on the Lil Italian.....Over all I like the jacket and look forward to a setpants to go with the jacket......

Sliders Adventure Jacket - Kirk   TN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Heavy
    Cons: Heavy

I wear an XL in US sizing, the fit was not loose and the unit has expandable side for adjustment. The first impression, this is a HEAVY jacket and depending on the weather you are riding in will find it too hot or just right not a summer jacket, If you are looking for a 3 season jacket this is a good bet. It is very suited for cooler to colder temps. I took out the liner as I wear a Knox full race back protector. With the liner out the jacket is still plenty warm enough and the venting helps but don't expect full flow. This is a very well built jacket and should be more than enough to last quite a few seasons. I went with the hi-viz and can observe drivers seeing me on the bike which is a good thing. It will get the attention you need. My biggest pick is the collar. The Velcro is sewn as such that it rubs your neck raw. To overcome this I wear a bandanna to cushion between the collar and neck but in a rain that would not be ideal. For the price, this was an excellent jacket for the type of riding on the bike I use - Upright sitting position Honda NC700X. Freedom of movement is good, snug and not baggy has adjustments on side as well with expandable side pieces. If not for the collar I would rate this top of the line. With the super heavy construction and elbow pads included, I feel this would provide excellent protection in a slide but hope I do not test the theory. Happy riding, stay safe.

Great value - Norsk32   ND Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great value, lots of pockets, sturdy construction
Cons: Thermal liner not warm enough

I'm 5'9 205 lbs and bought an xl. Fit great and had enough room with liner in to wear a sweatshirt. I live in North Dakota and bought this only for cold weather riding. I ride a 2013 ninja 1000 so not much wind protection. I only use this coat with liner in and it keeps me warm at freeway speeds 75-85 mph down to about 45 degrees. Lately I've been riding in mid 20s to mid 30s with a sweatshirt on under this coat and stayed comfortable but my commute is only about 25 minutes. The main front zipper zips right off when I zip it to the top but easy to put it back on so not a big deal. Maybe an isolated defect. Today I rode to work in a steady rain and arrived perfectly dry. All in all I'm very happy with this coat. Without the zipper issue and if the removable liner was thicker and or warmer I'd give it 5 stars easy

Sliders Adventure Jacket - SMG323   MO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfort, storage pockets, design and protection from elements
Cons: Non detected other than they run a bit small, so you may to to but up one size

I have never owned an adventure jacket before, but have always wanted one. I purchased this jacket due to its design and weather protection. I ride down to temperatures as low as 25 and have always worn leather jackets in cold temperatures. I have not had a chance to test this in the cold yet, but I can tell by just trying it on, that it will be warmer than my heavy leather thermal lined motorcycle jacket. I also purchased a Sliders brand pair of riding pants that are lined as well. I expect to be much warmer this winter with this gear from Sliders. Very pleased with this jacket. As long as the zippers hold up I am sure this jacket will wear and perform well. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is because I have not worn this in colder weather yet and want to make sure the zippers hold up. Sliders makes quality gear, so I don't expect the zippers, snaps or gathers to fail even over time.Steve 2014 Kawasaki Concours

Pros: Fit, construction, appearance, lots of vents, warm
Cons: Vents don't flow much air, does not breath, a little too warm for mild temps

I have a police type shield on my 'Liner so the vents don't do much. I am hoping the shoulder vents work some once I get them adjusted better. Even with my hands in the airflow and the wrist vents wide open not much air gets to the rear vents. It does not flow like a Darien but I think it will be more water proof, especially with age. I think it will be a great between 30 to 60 degree, all-weather jacket. Since I ride to work any morning that not raining, regardless of the expected afternoon weather forecast, I think it will be ideal for my type of riding. One more thing - it's an incredible value. It might run 12 size small.

Good value - Briank   MN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Great ventilation,
Cons: Water resistant, not water proof

Took my brand new sliders jacket on a 2500 mile road trip. Temperatures ranged from 43 degrees on Beartooth Pass to 97 degrees across the plains of South Dakota. The multiple vents really helped in the heat. Never felt too hot while moving with all the vents open. Going over Beartooth, I removed the liner and wore an electric jacket liner, so I cannot comment on how warm the jacket keeps you in colder weather. There were two issues I encountered with this jacket.1. Depending on how the collar is closed, I did experience some wind buffeting under the chin bar of my helmet. This was resolved by re-adjusting the collar. I am riding in an upright riding position. Very minor issue.2. Rode through a 10 minute, moderate, rain shower. Both my arms became damp and my stomach to about half-way up my chest got soaked. I validated that the front zipper and storm flap were closed. I would say my jacket was not waterproof, but more water resistant. If I encounter anything more than a sprinkle, I would wear a rain suit.Overall, I like the jacket. Just wish it was more water resistant than I experienced. By the sounds of other reviews, my jacket may be an anomaly.

Hits & Misses - AnywhereXR650L   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Cost,Build Quality,Visability, Features
    Cons: Narrow sleeves

I needed a cool weather jacket and cost wasis as always a major factor. I am 5' 9.5 tall 160 lbs.summer, 170 lbs.winter, 42 chest, 39 arm per mfg. sizing chart. mfg sizing chart said med for chest, am glad I ordered to fit arm length and room for layers, X-LARGE is as snug in chest and body as I can stand Wanted Hi-viz and Sliders brand fell in the range, with plenty of vents, pockets and adjustments. Read reviews and true to what some said the sleeves are narrow, very narrow. Wearing a long sleeve t-shirt with a sweat shirt makes the arms snug, with liner installed. The jacket seems very well made with quality materials. The armor is much more substantial than the foam padding in my Fulmer Mesh jacket. This is a heavy jacket, comparable to a led lined x-ray blanket, and stiff also, but both of these aspects are reassuring in the event of an off on the gravel or asphalt. Plus once on the bike the weight is carried by the seat and legs, basically no noticeable weight, but stiff, which hopefully will break-in after some miles. Jacket is warm. Have been riding in temps. from mid 50's to mid 30's at 65-70 mph, stayed warm To summarize good jacket for price arms are narrow, if you have large arms try something else order at least 1 size larger good featurespockets, vents, materialsCage drivers notice you faster with the Hi-viz.the blind and texters still don't see you

Good Jacket - Brett   MI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Good Protection and Warm
    Cons: A Little Stiff

Without the liner I am warm riding in the upper 40's. It has endless vents so I think it will work in the summer as well but I havent tested them yet. I normally wear a large 5'11' 190 and I take an XL in this. I find the jacket to be kind of heavy and stiff so you feel like Herman Munster when wearing it but the protection is really good. I am used to leather which is very pliable so this might take some getting used to.

Slider jacket - Pete   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Exellent quality with blast zonal protection
Cons: Way too heavy for me

It is a jacket that I would have enjoyed wearing, especially for its high vis on the highway. Unfortunately for me, the arms and neck in the large size were a bit too long. The overall weight was another problem. It was at least twice the weight of my current 34 touring jacket, but was better armed with quality crash protection.

Sliders Adventure Coat - Sonny   AZ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Heavy, good protection, pockets galore
Cons: Heavy, sizing is off .. sleeves are tight with the liner or without.

Well built and pretty heavy coat. It has alot of pockets and vents and all but many will be useless. With the liner in it should be good for some pretty cold weather. I replaced the liner with a waterproof electric jacket that should make this combo perfect. The coat has lots of vents and they will be needed. However, if you are riding a full faired bike like and FJR the vents will be worthless .. and the coat will be hot I have a mesh coat for hot weather and living in Tucson I am aware of heat. I normally wear a 46L .. being 6' and about 220 lbs and 68years old. This coat I had to go up to a 2XL tall .. the XL tall was tight. The sleeves are a problem .. they are too tight. On the 1st coat I couldn't even zip the sleeve zipper all the way .. was too tight .. without the liner I didn't even try with the liner. The 2XL tall seems to be a correct fit but I should have gone with just the 2XL .. the sleeves are a bit long now but better long then short. Haven't been out in the rain with this coat but can see that it will be more then enough to handle the wet stuff. I really didn't want the green but it was the only color in my size. I don't mind it and everybody tells me how visible I am.. can't be all bad. Some of you may wonder why at 6' I need a 'tall' .. well, my inseam is only 29 .. built more like a chimp is what I've been told. LOL

err on the larger size - o2jmpr   IA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Superb protection at an insane price
    Cons: sizes run smallchoking collar

I would recommend potential buyers buy AT LEAST a size larger than you think. I wear a 2x shirt or sweatshirt and ordered the 3x and it's pretty tight even with the armor removed. That said, you WANT a motorcycle jacket that stays put and wont ride up if you happen to be in an accident. I love everything about the jacket except the collar. There is a rain hood build into the neck band that cannot be removed. This makes the collar very thick and tight. I cut the hood out on mine to alleviate that problem. I also despise overlapping tab on the collar. There is a snap on the jacket to button it back out of the way , but to use it, the jacket must be zipped down about 14 of the way. I will be riveting a new snap to the collar so I can just fold it straight back on itself and snap it. No mid liner is GREAT Full on fresh air on those hot days a nice liner for when it's cool. I'd rather have to add a layer underneath if it's cold than sweat my a off on a hot day This jacket is a steal in my opinion. Worth far more than the asking price. I feel confident with it.

Great jacket - Dave Rider   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great for cold weather - I've only ridden it in the low 40's to 60's
Cons: Heavy and feels a little stiff

The jacket is very well made and the quality is great. I wear a large t-shirt and the large jacket fits me nicely. I have enough room to wear a fleece vest under the jacket and this helps with any air space. the sleeves fit my arms nicely and I am probably average build there. The jacket is longer than what I usually wear and I am getting used to that. I ride a sport touring bike similar to a FJR and with a smaller windshield. The jacket material is stiff but I expect that it will loosen up with time. The jacket also seems heavy but is comparable with other similar jackets I have. Overall I recommend it and it's a great value.

Impressive Bargain, But Caution on Size - FJ40   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Full featured jacket at great price
Cons: Can't go by sizing chart. Sleeves too tight and short.

It's the middle of the winter with 2 feet of snow outside, so I haven't tried it out yet, just tried it on. I have a number of adventure type jackets and bought this one primarily to have a hi-viz color. The jacket is as full featured as those costing twice the price and appears to be great quality. Unfortunately the sizing seems to run small. I'm 6' tall, around 190 lbs, and would take a size 42-44 ,jacket normally.. I returned a size L for an XL as the L was tight, especially the arms, and the sleeves were just too short for an adventure motorcycle jacket. The XL was the correct fit and is not too large, not the L, despite the sizing chart. The return shipping is annoying and its cost is discouraging, so getting the correct size in the first place matters. If you are thinking about getting this type of jacket, or even if you're not but should, it can be a very smart buy..

substantial jacket - mpfrank   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Heavy-duty, water-resistant on the outside, not baggy
Cons: Not completely air-resistant, small armor pads

I have worn this size large regular jacket five times now and am still getting used to it. It fits me well 5'11, 170lbs, freakishly long arms which is a plus. This jacket feels very heavy on the hanger, much less so walking around, and no problem at all on the bike. The collar bunched up quite a bit until I cut off the hidden hood - careful not to cut off the Velcro strip. The collar is now very comfortable. The shoulder armor in particular, and the elbow armor as well, is quite small. The armor pockets are large, however, so I replaced the armor with larger ones that I happened to have and it's perfect. For some reason, the back pad is a CE Level 1 pad, so it's good for now. I may upgrade it later.Like F800GSrider I experienced cold air entering the jacket, maybe from underneath, which compromised the warmth of the jacket. I am working on how to mitigate this - tightening the side straps helps.Overall fit and finish is good. One underarm ventilation zipper is stuck closed, but I probably wouldn't be using these anyway.

Quality Jacket for the Price - BuzzN   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Heavy weight, secure feeling, good fit, adequate vent and storage pockets
    Cons: Sleeve adjustment, neck comfort

This is a solid, well fitting jacket at least for me. The quality, stitching, zippers, etc. is fine for a jacket in this price range. As others have said, the sleeve are somewhat awkward to adjust the velcro strap should be a little longer so that it reaches further around the end of the sleeve. There is a lot of bulk there to fit a glove over. The collar is soft enough on the inside, but may be uncomfortably high for some. Otherwise the jacket as a whole is good quality and feels very protective mine is the hi-viz color. There are plenty of clever vents and storage pockets. The fit is better than most, even more expensive, jackets that I had tried on. The sizing chart is pretty accurate, but the store has a good exchange policy in case it doesn't fit right.

Triumph Tiger 800 and Sliders Kevlar Jacket - Cjohnson   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Comfort, kevlar, price
    Cons: Velcro on colar

I really like this kevlar motorcycle jacket. It is heavy and well bulit. It fits very well and the numerous vents really help on warmer weather days. With the liner the jacket is very warm. So many pockets and zippers I think the designers got a bonus for every zipper, clasp, and button they could fit on the jacket. The only con would be the velcro strip on colar could be more robust. At speed the colar has popped open.

Slider Adventure Motorcycle Jacket - 1triumphrider   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Decent value for the money, good looking, warm
Cons: Elbow armor pockets allow armor to slide too far forward, especially when liner is removed. Too much Velcro, sleeve openings too small, Liner too hard to remove and install and not a jacket by itself.

Gear manufactures today are trying too hard to one up there competition by cramming too many features into their gear. As a result, they make it too complex and hard to use. Features like pockets too small to get your hands in to or vents you can't open or close without stopping and taking the jacket off or Velcro instead of snaps which make it a job to get in and out of the jacket or pockets. Liners that are a pain to insert and remove. I guess making a liner a component that can be worn as a jacket by it self has not caught on with some of the manufactures yet. That said, this jacket appears to be well made with quality materials and decent quality zippers. I have not tested in the rain or slid down the road in it yet hope not to test this It's a decent value for the money if you are on a tight budget.

Sliders adventure jacket - BonnieRider   TX Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: good material

The only kind of man this XXL jacket would fit is someone that has no upper arm strength at all If you're a skinny guy, go ahead and get this jacket,, my biceps are average size and the jacket was so tight in that area.. sizing on anything made in China is way off... do not waste your time and money having this item shipped out to you , you will just return it.

Sizing way off - rwzewe   TX Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: durability
    Cons: sizing

What is with the sizing of EVERYTHING in apparel these days I wear an XL... have for years.. suddenly an XL is now what I would consider a Medium. Take a chance on this jacket only if you're a skinny thin build man. If you have any muscle on you at all then you will need at least an XXL... and even then it will probably be too tight in some area. I got an XXL and the I couldn't even bend my arms very far because the bicep area was so tight because the back of the jacket is way too small in design... I'm not even that muscular too...

Being new to the motorcycle world I wanted to make sure I was getting quality gear for my first bike. And the slider jacket and pants did not disappoint. I'm 5'10 200 pounds and ordered an extra large jacket that gives me just enough room if I'm wearing a sweat shirt underneath. Not only does it fit well but I wanted to test it out in about 35 degree weather. Only wore shorts and a t-shirt under the jacket and pants and the only thing that got cold on me was my hands. I love the Kevlar and cold protection they give.Couldn't be happier with the gear.

Add 1 size for proper fit. Well made, all the armor. Closeout price was to good to pass up. Only con is the sleeve closure is on the outside making it a little difficult adjusting it. Looks good. I would prefer all Hi-Viz color that wasn't available. Nice jacket for very good price.

My new favorite jacket - MtnTrailRider   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: well designed, versatile, good quality
    Cons: none

This is my first mesh jacket. I purchased the Sliders heavier adventure jacket great for colder temps a couple of years ago and found wearing it above 75 deg was too hot even with all the vents open. As a result I wouldn't wear it during hot weather. This jacket is great for warmer temps or slower riding on gravel roads. I purchased this before a week long trip and love it even more. During my NW loop trip I encountered rain, hot sun, and cool coastal temperatures. The liner kept me dry and warm riding through 2 hours of showers and it dried out quickly once we left the wet weather. It is fairly easy and quick to zip in or out the liners to change the level of comfort. In the cooler mornings 50-60 F I would ride with the liner in and be fine. During the hot mid day 85-90F I would zip out the liner and ride with just the mesh shell and a t-shirt which is almost like riding in just a t-shirt but having protection from the sun and no t-shirt whip. It also gave me the piece of mind knowing if something came up around a corner rocks, gravel, distracted drivers that I couldn't evade in time I would have some protection in the event of going down. Along the coast it was much cooler and I had to zip in both liners to be warm.Sliders jackets are a great value in my opinion. They are well designed, don't break the budget, and look and fit well. I am 5'8, 178 lb and I tried my friend's medium sized jacket but I found it a little tight with no liners in so I ordered the large for comfort. There are many adjustments with the jacket to allow cinching it closer or further away from your body. Sliders improved the zipper pulls on this jacket so they don't come unglued like the ones on my adventure jacket did from a couple of years ago, I suspect they improved them as well. Because they use snaps on the sleeve adjustments I know it won't wear out as quickly as Velcro adjustments. If you never have ridden in a mesh jacket before be prepared for the piece of mind in having protection while being comfortable. The one thing that took some getting used to was the jacket temperature changes very quickly when riding from sunny areas into cooler forests due to the jacket allowing lots of airflow. It wasn't hard to get used to, just different. I suspect I will be able to ride with this jacket down to 45 degrees with both liners in and still be comfortable. If I add a fleece under all the liners I could probably extend it down to 40 degrees. If you only buy one jacket and want lots of versatility then this is the jacket

A Pleasant Surprise - Big-W   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Nice fit adjustability, well made, good value, comfortable
    Cons: A little big

Ordered the large-tall. I have very long arms, but not a huge chest. Regardless, this jacket fits quite nicely once I dialed in all the adjustments available. I truly did not expect the quality that comes with the jacket. Leather at the end of the sleeves, several snap adjustments on the arms.Additionally, I have so far worn the jacket down to 47 degs and been comfortable WITHOUT the included warmth liner. I have also worn it in temps as warm as 75 so far. It has been very comfortable.Anywho--I was definitely pleasantly surprised.

nice jacket, well put together with nice vent placement. my last jacket had the inner rain liner system which defeated the purpose of the vents, this jacket cures that problem.other reviewers have pointed out to order up a size, this was true for me too. in the tall size the sleeve length is a shade longer than ideal but it's certainly not a deal breaker. overall a great jacket, particularly for the price.

Slider All-Season Jacket - ascooterowner   DC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great fit, unbeatable price, all-seasonweather utility, shoulderelbowback protection
    Cons: None

I got this jacket about a month ago in the hi-viz color and I LOVE it The price was unbelievably affordable compared to other kevlararmored jackets. It comes with two zip-in internal liners, a waterproof one for rain and a quilted one for cold weather. I haven't tried them yet because summer's are warm where I live.Speaking of summers, when both liners are removed, the jacket is essentially mesh on most of the body, except for the shoulders and elbows. This means that you feel cool as long while you're riding. And while I take the jacket off as soon as I arrive wherever I'm going, I do keep it on for the one or two minutes it takes me to lock up and cover my scooter, and I've never felt like I was overheating. And, because I ride mostly in city traffic, even time spent at stop signs and red lights is bearable due to the mesh design.I also like that there is a bottom zipper as well so I can partially unzip the jacket to reach my pants pockets. Speaking of pockets the jacket comes with left and right breast pockets, which can be left unzipped and serve as additional vents. There is a large pocket on the back that are accessible from left and right sides. There are also left and right hip pockets which are big enough to comfortably stash my riding gloves. There is a large vertical zipper pocket on the left side of the inner lining, as well as additional large storage pockets. I haven't checked out the pockets in the liners but I'm sure they're large and accessible. The only downer I noticed - which is minor and not really due to design - is with the long version of the large size, which I bought - because I have disproportionately long arms. The sleeves are the ideal length but I find the elbow pads are a tad too far down towards my wrists. So . . . unless like me you have freakishly long arms, don't get the long. There's plenty of length in the back so you don't have to worry about it riding up.

Well bike went one way and I continued on going straight without bike the of course. Everyone arriving was amazed that I wasn't DOA goes to prove God was watching out on this one. I must say Jacket kept me from any road rash and pads did a wonderful job for my elbows. I had my protective gear on and I will not ride without it saved me from a painful recovery. I bought a new Sliders Jacket. The old one doesn't show any wear just wanted the Adventure Jacket.

This is a great jacket for the price. It's warm down to about 60degs in AZ. After that, I use a heated liner, without the included thermal liner, down into the 20's. I'll have to wait until the summer to see how cool it is. Yes I would purchase another one.

Great kevlar motorcycle Jacket - Fred New Mexico   NM Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Durable, fits well, warm, flexibility since can remove liner
Cons: In warm weather, air flow is limited so you will feel the heat

Great jacket. Fits well, nicely armored although I don't plan to test that, easy to move in, very flexible with the removable liner. The only concern is riding in warmer weather--although the jacket has numerous zippered vents, the airflow going through the jacket is limited. I have a Sliders mesh with Kevlar jacket for the warmer days, so not a problem for me, but if this is your only jacket, you will probably be a little toasty on those warm summer days. Sliders is great gear for the money.

    Pros: Highly versatile, high visibility
    Cons: A bit heavy

I got this jacket to be a true all season replacement and have not been disappointed. It has good air-flow in humid 90 degree temps and the liner does its job at 50 degrees although it would not be suitable for temps lower than that for me. The armor makes it a bit heavy but that is not noticeable when wornriding. I am 5'10185 and the large fits well. I have not discovered a downside with this gear to date.

    Cons: None

After reading several reviews and comparing similar jackets I decided on the Sliders All Season 2. It had all the features I was looking for at a price that couldn't be beat. Summers are hot here in Texas and I needed relief but didn't want to sacrifice my safety or break my bank account either. This jacket fit the need perfectly. True to size, take into consideration though the rain and thermal liners make it snug when both are in. That being said, there is still a lot of adjustments that can be made and there is the stretch panels on both sides and the Velcro adjustment straps on both sides. The jacket is comfortable enough to wear all day. I love this jacket and highly recommend it. Best value for the money and very well made.

I am 5'10 170 lbs. Ride 2009 V Strom 1000. Tested from 4000' to 9000'. Can tell this will be great all season jacket. Two Liners makes fit better for coolest temps. Jacket only is a little large. Medium would fit better for 90 -105 degree summer temps. Breathes well and is very visible. Would prefer zips at end of sleeves, not big Velcro fan. Would reccomend this as great only jacket. Much nicer than my Scorpion or Shift jackets.

This is my jacket for all riding now. I tested this jacket in 95 degree humid weather and was impressed. I ride a touring bike with full fairing and still felt comfortable when riding in that weather. Obviously at stopping I was warm and no jacket would solve that problem unless their was an AC in the jacket. Although not tested yet, the water proof liner is well constructed and looks like will perform very well.

The overall fit of the jacket is great but the arms are about 1 inch too long. 6'5 at 235 the tall is really tall which is unusual since most motorcycle coats run small. The quality of the coat and its attention to detail is outstanding. Could not have purchased a better summer coat for twice the cost and I have tried a lot of them.

Pros: Quality construction, good fit, pretty good air flow, bi-directional zipper
    Cons: A little heavy

I was looking for a reasonably priced 34 length warm weather jacket, and I'm very pleased with my choce. I decided to go with the hi-viz yellow, and I'm glad I did. I have a greatly increased sense of confidence that cagers can see me now. I like the fit of the jacket. I'm 5'11, about 205 lbs, and the XL fits very well. The jacket flows a lot of air, which is what I wanted. I really like the bi-directional main zipper. I ride a sport tourer, and being able to unzip the bottom of the jacket a little bit is really helpful given my riding position. The only minor nit I can pick is that the jacket seems a bit heavy, but it's not a big deal.

It felt like riding with a T-shirt on again In my previous review I stated that I wear my gear no matter what the conditions, but I had forgotten that wonderful feeling of just wearing a T-shirt on a beautiful day. It was about 80 degrees and I was even a bit chilly at times, it was fantastic. Love this jacket, I feel so much smarter than all those people in their cut-offs lookin' so cool, when I actually am cool, and protected Thanks Comp Acc

This Sliders Kevlar Jacket, Beats Tourmaster bigtime - rg500g   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: materials, protection, 2 stage liners, superior rain liner, pockets, stitching quality
Cons: tiny loops for connecting liners, elbow armor needs some beef, elastic straps on snaps

I bought the Tourmaster Airglide 3 jacket, and the Slider product is simply better. The rabbit pouch you get with a 34 length, double front zipper, serious waterproof liner, decent thermo liner, kevlar, and overall materials on par with Tourmaster really place it above Tourmaster, Cortech, Fieldsheer, Cyclegear brand, Joe Rocket, or Teknic. My Tourmaster jacket, new, is now surplus. I'm a 42 jacket with a real 34 waist and a Med is a snug fit with all liners in, but it fits. Large would be blousy. Unlike Tourmaster you get a backpad you can upgrade - it's a standard shape. Armor is sourced at a price and shows the backpad is OK though, surprisingly, but that's a minor upgrade. The loops for mounting the liner need to be redone. They're small elastic loops and fitting the strap through is a royal pain, but that's the worst critique. The elastic straps on the arm snaps are a good idea, but the elastic ages quickly in use and you lose the stretch in 2-3 years and the strap gets too long to snug up. Eh, maybe replace jacket, but honestly this is built to last a lot longer. This jacket is a direct competitor with Olympia, Alpinestars, and Revit in terms of quality and features. Factor in the price and you have a superior value.

Just arrived - Brian   CT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Quality, fit, price
    Cons: None yet

You know, it used to be that if the weather was hot, we wore T-shirts. These days, I want to wear all my gear no matter what the conditions. I own a beautiful Hein Gericke that I've had for some 20 years. It has zipper vents on the chest, sleeves, and back but it is leather so when it gets hot outside, that jacket is hot. Plus it has no armor. Started searching, found this on a closeout, and ordered one up. In black, of course Jacket just arrived and I am smitten with it. Feels comfortable, Although that back pad may take a bit of getting used to. Love the fact that it's armored and can breathe, can't wait to take it for a ride. I am a fat bastard at 5'10', 280 lbs. Bought the 3x and it fits around the gut without the liners in. Which is fine since I bought it for mesh and not for winter My ten and eight year old says it makes me look cool so it must be cool. Quality looks good, attention to detail, affirmative. Comp Acc, good job. This is my second purchase from you and your delivery was once again fast and painless and free and the prices can't be beat. I'll update after a ride. Thanks Comp Acc, happy Father's day to me

A great addition to my jackets - Bill L   MO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great fit, looks awesome, very protective
    Cons: Small interior pockets

I ride a Harley Davidson Road Glide but did not want to always look like a Harley Rider in black leather. I wanted a great warm weather jacket that gave me protection but kept me cool too. This jacket is awesome and my biker buddies really like it too so they may be ordering this soon. I typically wear a 42 chest sized jacket and this one is sized correctly. It runs just a little tighter than my other jackets but I probably won't use the thermal liner. Without the thermal liner it is perfect and exactly what I was looking for. The mesh keeps my cool and the kevlar and armor keeps me protected. The quality of this jacket is comparable to 350 jackets. I am totally happy with this jacket and would buy it again.

Pros: Comfort,Style,Length of the Jacket, Safety features
Cons: XL quilted liner fits tightly, but within comfort range

This jacket provides comfort, sufficient rider protection and vivid color that makes it very appropriate for riders on short or long rides. I live in an area where visibility on limited sight mountain roads requires as much visibility as possible. This jacket meets those requirements. I would recommend this item without reservation.

Sliders All Season 2 Kevlar Jacket - Airwuf   AZ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Cool, great fit, well manufactured, options with thermal and waterproof liners, kevlar protection
Cons: Some of the velcro catches on pocket material.

This jacket was my second Slider kevlar jacket and I bought this one for warm weather riding as first was full textile cold weather gear. It fulfills this most excellently The liners that come with this jacket also give a great option of using it when riding up in elevation or into wet environs. It truly is an all season lightweight jacket system. Will consider this for wife as a great one-size-fits-all system for both hot and cold weather riding.

Best deal ever and it has Kevlar - Tennessee Rick   TN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Visability, versitile, size consistent, good protection, comfortable, warm, best deal I've found anywhere
Cons: Heavy and bulky to store in bagstrunk, pockets not convenient

The basics Good fit ordering the size I would normally wear, well constructed, good protection with padding and kevlar.Though heavier and bulkier than my textile jacket it is quite comfortable when riding and moves well with me. Bulk is more of an issue in trunkbags. The test I have 42 years of cycling experience, mostly in the mountains of Tn., N.C., & Ga. where conditions can change considerably during the course of a day. First time out was 140 miles on an overcast day with the temp staying around 40 degrees on a sport touring bike 70mph. I stayed warm with only a sweatshirt under and the obvious recognition from other drivers due to the high viz was inspiring. Second trip was on dual-sport starting 40 degrees, climbing to 75 degrees and back down again. Warm when the temp was cool and nice venting with liners out when thing warmed up Installingremoving liners was not as difficult as I expected from other reviews, but could be easily modified if you find it a problem. A word to the wise I've also spent 37 years in Orthopedic Surgery and many of the unfortunate cyclists I,ve met along the way would certainly have faired better if they had been more visable and worn protective clothing. How much is your body worth.

Cons: Collar a little stiff and placed so it can rub your neck. Could use a little more padding and soft fabric.

Was leary of ordering this jacket as it was an unknown brand to me and the price was low compared to competitors. Turns out this is a case where you don't get what you pay for- but more than you paid for. Seems very well made. Was impressed with air flow and fit of garment. It did not scrimp on length like a lot of tall offerings from other brands. Will definitely buy this brand again.

S.LA Summer Tested and Approved - furduknfish   LA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Kevlar, HD Zipper, stretch panels, CE pads, Excellent Ventilation, 34 Length
Cons: Long sleeves, Sleeve synch snaps, Bulkytight liners

Thats S. Louisiana... already flirting with the upper 90's and humidity way past that in June. Daily commute to Big Easy Quite Breezy. At nominal speeds, the mesh directs the wind in for a cool ride. The synch snaps ar BIG and tend to catch by backpack, minor annoyance resnapping but hard luggage is my next purchase. Why these arent fold-over velcro, I dont know I can be seen easily HI-VIZ from a great distance which is 12 the benefit. As noted, the sleeves are mutant long but they can be velcro'd down. I leave loose just for the extra airflow past gloves. The back protector is a foam pad but descrp says CE, dont think so. I am 5'10200lbs with a mod build and a mod beer belly late 30's, it happens and the large fits just right with liners removed. With both liners in its tight but workable. The liner attachments were a pain getting apart, as others noted. I probably wont be messing with the windwaterprf liner till late November, again S. LA. Quite happy for the price I paid on sale 150.

Great kevlar motorcycle jacket for the bucks - Wayno J   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Visibility, great fit, amazing price, Dupont Kevlar protection
Cons: Heavy, tie-in loops small and flimsy

I've only had this jacket for a few days, but I've managed to test it in the warm 78 is warm in Seattle and the wet again, Seattle. So far, so great The ventilation is very good, even stopped at a light -- the mesh really does it's job. With the water-proof wind-proof liner installed, it kept me warm and dry -- actually a little too warm, as the temp was still 78, but no breeze gets thru that liner. Definitely wind-proof. The tiny loops that attach the liner to the kevlar jacket are the only real weak point of this system -- one of them has already torn loose after only two installations. And this jacket is HEAVY, as cjohnnyride pointed out, even without the liners. I was amazed that a jacket this heavy could still keep you as cool as it does. We winter in Arizona, where even January - March it can get into the 80's, and summers here in Seattle sometimes rarely see the 90's and 100's, so August will be the true test of coolness. For now, I give it 5 stars and highly recommend this jacket to anyone looking to save some bucks compared to buying Tourmaster or Olympia but not willing to compromise their safety and comfort.

Pros: good fit, good price, comfortable
    Cons: [None]

I bought the All-Season 2 Kevlar jacket to use with the all-season 2 kevlar pants I bought. Overall the jacket is a good fit. It is a little slimmer in the torso, but the stretch panels give it adequate room to expand. The double main zipper is a must for a coat this length. Lots of reflective piping and good hi-viz orange color work well. a good choice for most standard and touring riders. I would probably not use it below 35 degrees.

Sliders All Season - JRD   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Multiple inner layers, WATER PROOF
    Cons: [None]

I purchased the All Season Jacket and pants in preparation for a ride near the Dragon. As advertised the water proof membrane is supposed to allow body moisture out, while preventing rain water in. I found the membrane does not allow enough body heat and moisture out so the jacket and pants with just the water proof membrane were a little too warm when stopped or standing. However, it was very comfortable when moving and best of all, completely dry after riding thru a down pour. Riding with the membrane removed allowed a surprising amount of air to flow thru the jacket which is inspiring as it provides both protection and comfort. I would highly recommend both the All Season jacket and pants to anyone considering protective riding gear.

Pros: Look good, Good material. well constructed for the most part
Cons: Heavy, Could use sturdier loops at sleave ends,

It's my first mesh jacket and I'm still learning. Without any other inserts it will extend the riding season. The rainproof liner will make the jacket a sauna in hot weather. With just the insulation liner, there is little more warmth. It needs to have the rainproof liner installed to work well. I normally wear XL jackets. I ordered a XXL Slider Jacket and it is a touch snug with all liners installed. Ther is no flapping anywhere while riding. I still feel the backpad but it's sill comfortable. The other armor is not felt. It's definately a riders jacket. There are fabric loops in the sleaves to secure the sleave ends of the liners. I feel they are a touch weak for long use.

Nice Jacket - TrickyRicky   GA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Comfortable, good protection
Cons: A little on the heavy side, can be really snug with both liners installed

I bought this jacket for spring and fall riding as I have a dedicated mesh jacket that I use during the summer. It's comfortable and you can tell that you're very well protected in it.The sizing runs small like it does with most motorcycle jackets for me, at least. I wear a 2X in most t-shirts and non-motorcycle jackets, but a 3X in motorcycle jackets. With no liners installed, it fits well. With 1 liner installed, it's a bit snug but not too bad. With both liners installed, it's a struggle to even get the jacket to zip, so you may want to order a size up if you plan to use it regularly with both liners installed not an option for me since 3X is the biggest size that they make. That said, I've had pretty good luck being staying comfortable with just 1 liner installed. In 50-65 degree weather, I'll run just the waterproof layer along with a long sleeve t-shirt to keep it from getting clammy against my skin. In 65-75 degree weather, I'll wear it with just the quilted liner.

Pros: Great protections, the hi-vis is really hi-vis
Cons: Sleeve velcro, lack of sleeve tabs to hold armor in place.

This is a tremendous jacket for the money, with a couple of complaints...are you listening Sliders The Velcro tabs on the sleeves should go to the inside of the sleeve rather than the outside and the Velcro on the sleeve should be longer to accommodate thinner wrists. Also, there should be a Velcro strap or a snap strap at the elbow to hold the armor in place. Other than that, great protection, great value, very comfortable and secure feeling.

Slider All Season 2 - almost perfect - fur   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Ventilation, material construction, value
Cons: Poor sleeve design for removeable CE armor

Going on 2 years with this product and overall functions well. My only two peeves have to do with sleeve design. For starters, they are freakishly long. Not a dealbreaker but it exacerbates the other issues. First, the snaps to snug up the sleeve. They do not provide the infinitely adjustable synch a doubled over velcro would. Second, The elbow armor pouch. Believe me when I say it becomes that... It loads from the wrist rather than the armpit. This is important because of the freakish long sleeves mentioned earlier. Gravity works them down to the point where the pouch closes. Because I want to keep them removable, I cant just stitch to fit me. If they loaded from the other end, I could stitch a stopping point suitable to protect my elbows. As it stands they dont protect anything but my wrist. Please fix this I might even buy a new one if this changes...

Pros: good quality, nice fit, heavier jacket for colder riding, great styling
    Cons: needs more zippered pockets

When Competition Accessories had this jacket on sale for 75, I couldn't resist. As it turned out, not only was it a tremendous value for the money, but it is a great jacket regardless of price. Heavier for colder riding, comfortable, and relatively form-fitting. I am not a fan of the zip-in liners that you can't wear without a jacket, so I removed the zipped-in liner and wear my Olympia liner instead. That works much better for me. I wish all the jacket manufacturers would make their liners wearable without the jacket. Oh well. Anyway, I got the hi-viz yellow and couldn't be happier with the color choice. The armor and kevlar reinforcement should make it a valuable piece of safety gear. It would be nice if it had a few more zippered pockets though.

    Pros: Good Mult-weather jacket
    Cons: [None]

This is my first jacket with Kevlar so it took a few rides before I got used to it. It turned out to be heavier than expected but that too became comfortable. Without the liner the airflow was quite good. Not sure just how comfortable this will be in mid summer but fall riding was good. Put the liner in when it got into the 40's and found it still a nice cover with plenty of warmth. I'm not a winter rider anymore so I don't think I will test it in really cold weather and can not say if it is an all-season jacket. My only gripe is I wish jackets were offered with different sleeve lengths. I have short arms and have to fold the cuff end inside so I can get my gloves on. Other than that I am happy with this jacket.

    Pros: Good fit and adjustability
    Cons: Still working on those

I've only worn the jacket twice since owning and do like the fit, although I need to get accustomed to the 34 length as it is my first. It is a heavy jacket but doesn't really feel like it when you get it on. It seems to flow air pretty decent, cools things down pretty good once up to a decent speed and out of traffic. No issues with the zippers or snaps, I like the bigger cuffs around the wrists and the adjustable snaps on the forearms and biceps, you can get the jacket pretty snug if you want. The velcro adjusters at the midsection are nice, but not as effective as I would like. The armor at the elbows and shoulders sits about where it needs to and overall nothing feels 'bulky'. I'm 5'11, 160 and a Medium fits good. It's a nice looking jacket, has nice features, but no idea on how well it handles a get off, hope I never have to find out. mesh jacket with nice features - steveinpa   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: fit. comfort. visibility. wrist closure system. length. 2 way front zipper.
Cons: pockets are not that useful. liners are complicated.

People really see me in this jacket. Hi vis is the new black. Best feature is the hi vis yellow color. Fit is good. I got the xl. I am 5'9 and 210 lbs with a 40 waist. The arms seem a bit long untill I am in riding position and then they are just right. I have large forearms and the sleeves fit good. Wrist is easy to close and sleeves slide up easily while putting on gloves. Outside pockets are not that useful mainly because they are small and have small openings. Inside pockets are more usefull but none of the pockets are waterproof. If wearing the rain liner anything you want to stay dry has to be inside the liner. I have worn both liners and the warmth liner is of limited usefulness. It does not cover anything behind the front zipper. On a naked bike at 55 degrees I was chilly with both liners in. Of course with a fairing they would probably be ok down to 45 or so. I have not tried the rain liner in the rain yet. I just put my frogtogs on over everything in the rain. This jacket replaces a fieldsheer mesh that got trashed when I hit a deer. That jacket saved my body from very serious injury. I hope that was my last accident but if not I hope this jacket does as well as the fieldsheer. Construction and armor seems very similar

The ultimate in venting - HockeyMan   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great protection, venting, looks great, good pockets
Cons: Summer coat should have anti-microbial mesh lining.

Make no mistake I bought this jacket for the summer desert heat. The liner was morning chill is a plus as is the waterproof liner for a shower. The jacket is fantastic. I was expecting flimsy armor but that's simply not the case. There's a ton of room. It does run larger than what you expect BUT shrinks rapidly and radically with the liners installed. The jacket is stylish and good looking. Now my SINGLE, ONLY but UTTER issue s that the mesh liner when all the other liners are not in use is not anti-microbial. This is HUGE. I'm out there on the hot desert highways sweating up a storm and then the next day my jacket stinks like a professional sports locker room after a big game. Holy Smoke am I upset about this It's a MAJOR oversight on the part of the manufacturer, Sliders. Does this mean I wouldn't recommend the jacket No. There's no other high quality jacket at this price in the marketplace. Also, there are products to overcome such issues like fabric smell, but anti-microbial fabric should be a staple for an intended summer jacket. If you're in extremely hot environs, expect to sweat. Find yourself a product to deal with sweat residue.

Pros: Tall length, all weather functionality
Cons: Weight, arm cinch straps, zipper quality

This jacket was good for functionality and features, but somewhat disappointing for quality control. The insulating layer zipper lost a few teeth on my 4th ride. Yours may work better It remains functional, but a hassle to zip closed, and more teeth will inevitably rotate and pop off now. The arm cinch straps are good when in use, but the buttons are not the best for securing the straps. They come open often on rides, and are not the easiest to re-snap while riding. Slightly bulky and tight when all layers are together, but still does what it advertises, and is good for a variety of riding conditions. Colorado's western slope and different weather and temperature extremes over a few mountain passes were handled fine with a layerdelayering stop. I am overall satisfied for its price, but wish the snaps and zippers were stronger. -Safe riding

The jacket quality is amazing. It is heavy and sturdy but its just too damn large. I ordered a medium which in most jackets fit me alright. The medium felt like it was meant to be a large TALL. Pros: Comfortable Protection, All Weather Versatility. High Visability
    Cons: Rain soaks outer layer.

This equipments protects you when its cold with its thermal layer and wind protection. When its hot leave off the inner layers and enjoy the outer mesh to leave a breeze to keep you cool. If its a bit cool for the breeze, just use the 2nd layer wind breaker to keep warm. What's nice, is to have the inner layers to keep you warm in the morning and put them in the saddle bags to stay cool when its hot in the afternoon. And it's reassuring to know that if you go down, pads will protect from broken bones and the kevlar will protect from road rash.

OK, not quite all season - Wayno J   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great visibility and protection, good fit, good ventilation in all but the hottest weather.
Cons: Too heavy and bulky for hot weather

See my earlier review for starters. As I predicted, August would be the test, and it was -- failure Seattle saw the rare 90 degree weather that I predicted, and this jacket is just a little too heavy for that kind of heat. It's not bad when you're moving, but stopped at a light, it's murder. I ended up buying a Joe Rocket Velocity Mesh jacket for summer, and it's perfect -- light, tremendous air-flow, and short so it doesn't crumple and roll at your waist which is the worst thing about the All-Season 2 in the hot -- just too much material blocking air-flow. I still give this jacket a 4-star rating, but I can't really call it all season. So, I now have a Firstgear Kilimanjaro for winter, the All-Season 2 for springearly summerfall, and the Joe Rocket for summer -- not ideal, but it works.

Pros: Kevlar, conspicuity, mesh, fit, comfort, versatility, styling
Cons: roughness at collar closure, line tie-in loops way too small

Since Sliders is a CompAcc house brand I couldn't find this jacket in a store and try it on so I was skeptical about the fit. The jacket arrived very quickly. The packaging was pretty lame. I also ordered a pair of the All Season 2 pants. The corrugated box the two items were packaged in was about 30 to tall for the contents and the top had caved in and was repaired with a lot of packaging tape. The contents, however, arrived undamaged. The jacket fit perfectly if a little snug with both liners installed. I'm 5' 8-12, 180lbs and selected a size Large. The sleeves are a little longer than they need to be for me, but the velcro cuffs can be used to keep them under control. Most of the extra length is taken up once the riding position is assumed. It's a 34 length jacket so it can be a little too much jacket in your lap when you're sitting but that's easily alleviated by the bottom zipper being pulled up a few inches, which is a really, really nice feature. The sleeve cuffs open up quite a bit to easily allow your hands in and out, even with gloves on. I tried on the Tourmaster Intake Air Series 2 mesh jacket and I was trapped by the cuffs of the two jacket inserts when trying to pull my up and out of the jacket sleeves. It turned the sleeve halfway inside out and was very problematic - and that was on two different sizes of jackets Who wants to have to struggle while trying to extricate themself from a jacket To my great relief, this was not the case with the Sliders All Season 2 jacket. My hands easily slid up and out effortlessly.Considering that this jacket is mesh I expected it to be much lighter than it is as it feels pretty heavy. After all, isn't most of it... air Of course, you do have to take into account the CE approved armor with additional overpads and the Kevlar. I have never weighed another jacket before and can't compare this jacket to others, but it is 5lbs, 2.8ozs without either liner. With both liners it weighs 7lbs, 1.2 ozs.The two chest pockets, as mentioned in the CompAcc video, are pretty small and it's difficult to get your hands in and out of them because the openings are so high and narrow. But they would be handy for those small items which you don't have to access frequently. A note about the other pockets. Other mesh jackets boast waterproof pockets. Because they're waterproof they are also windproof and will impede air flow to and from the body which, in my opinion, defeats the purpose of having a mesh jacket in the first place. The Sliders pockets are not waterproof and therefore allow air to flow freely through them. So you can stay cooler in warmer weather, but you should stow water sensitive items elsewhere to prevent them from getting wet in case of an unexpected shower. The waterproof liner has hand warmer style pockets so the liner can be worn as a jacket by itself. It's not terribly attractive or totally functional, but will work in a pinch. Unfortunately, the waterproof liner does not have interior pockets, which because the liner material is waterproof the pockets would also be waterproof. I guess those pockets would add to the bulk of the jacket, but the quilted liner DOES have interior pockets. Therefore, you have waterproof pockets only if you wear the quilted liner inside the waterproof liner, but if given a choice I'd prefer waterproof pockets over quilted pockets. Unlike the waterproof liner, the quilted liner cannot be worn alone as a stand-alone jacket.I first rode with this jacket using the waterproofwindproof liner as the day was on the cool side. The liner provided adequate protection, but it seemed like I could feel slight drafts inside the liner. That could have been air coming in from under the jacket or up the sleeves as I don't cinch them down all the way. The second time I wore the jacket it was much warmer so I wore it without any liner. I was involved in some strenuous activity before hopping on the bike and was sweating quite a bit. In fact, I didn't realize how much I was sweating until I put on the jacket and started riding. The evaporative cooling effect was really impressive I was wearing a 100 polyester wicking t-shirt and felt the coolness all over the shirt as the sweat was pulled away. I was concerned that my big windshield with over-sized custom lowers would block a lot of the airflow, but the cooling effect was felt over most of my chest and all up and down my arms. Pretty impressive. I was liking this jacket more and more. The color I choose was Hi-Vis Yellow. I had been riding with a jacket that matched my bike. Being red, white, and black it was quite colorful, but not really all that noticeable as it didn't stand out enough in traffic. I had been noticing other riders wearing Hi-Vis clothing from a really long way off and wanted to be that visible in traffic myself. The hi-Vis jacket is definitely bright and can easily be seen even in poor visibility and low-light conditions, but when the sun hits it It's like it's battery powered Now, I ride a cruiser and this style of jacket, let alone the color, does NOT fit into the cruiser style, but I made a conscious decision that I don't care nearly as much about how I look as I do about how I'm seen. I believe in function over form. I'm new to riding and all my new cruiser friends told me you gotta get a leather jacket, and you gotta get a pair of chaps So I did. And then I show up to a ride on a warm day and everyone but me is in blue jeans and tank tops. And THEY look at ME like I'M the dumb one. Aren't you gonna sweat a lot, they ask Aren't you gonna bleed a lot, I reply I want to look good, be seen, and be protected as well. Speaking of protection... This is the only affordable jacket that I could find that includes Kevlar in the impact areas. That's a huge plus and should be an important part of your decision making process on which jacket to wear. The fabric at the collar closure where the jacket zipper and the liners all come together is a little rough on my neck but it's not terribly bothersome. The most significant drawback about this jacket, which is relatively minor considering all it's great features, is the tiny, little elastic loops that you have to thread the great big tabs and snaps through to attach the liners into the jacket and into each other. The loops are inconsistent in size. Some are almost big enough to be easy to use, but most are just way too small. I'm serious when I say that using two needle nose pliers would make it easier to install the liners. It would also make it easier to remove the liners because the elastic loops are smaller even than the snaps and get caught between the snaps and the fabric and have to be stretched over the snaps to get them through. It's too bad that this jacket's awesome features are blemished by such a simple little lack of attention to detail. I'd return the jacket, but seriously doubt that another jacket would have all the loops big enough to be easy to use. The elastic will eventually fail and the loops will stretch, but I'm not waiting that long. I'm going to sew bigger loops in it myself.Other than that one flaw, everything else about this jacket is exactly what I want and need to be cool mesh, be seen Hi-Vis, and be protected Kevlar while riding.

Decent if you want to feel like a bun in the oven - Steve   MO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Sturdy and safe
Cons: More kevlar please and just the right thing if you want to baste in warm weather

Good construction and bright enough to be the center of attention on any street. If you like mowing grass in August with 95 degree weather, this is the answer.

A bit wide - Jack Liu   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good protection, high vs color options, good for overweight people, Kevlar
Cons: Cloth is too wide, elbow pad don't stay in place

This jacket have very good protection, but I had to return it once because it was too big. I am 5-10, 185 LB, I usually wear size L but I have purchased Slider jackets before and it was too large so this time I ordered size M, but it was still too big, I had to end up exchange for S which feels like L compare to my other jackets.Even with small size the jacket's body is too wide, when I ride I feel like the jacket's body all bunch up on me. Also the arms is still too long, only half of my hand is sticking out.And the worst thing is the elbow pad NEVER stays in one place when you take the jacket off, which is not a big deal, I just got used to push the elbow pad to my elbow area each time after I put on the jacket. What this jacket truly shines is the amount of protection, it indeed have plenty of Kevlar areas as well as very thick foam backpad, I can feel the construction of the jacket is very durable and would trust it against a fall, which have not yet happened and I hope it stays that way but in the event of accident I would rather be wearing this jacket than others.Another good point is the high vis options, I choose a high vis green and it is really visible, people commented that they can see me almost one blocks away while wearing this jacket riding. It also has very generous amount of reflective pipings building all around it.Over all I recommend it, I just hope that the elbow pad stays in place, and make the jacket a bit thinner.

ok for the price - buster   Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: good protection, good ventilation, all around ok
Cons: NOT water proof, Not wind proof without liner

Bought this jacket for spring and fall riding. The protection seems good and sits in the right places, shell feels tough, and with vents unzipped ventilation is good. It is not a bad jacket but, it is not a good jacket, it is ok. Just got caught in rain, every zipper leaked, vents and front. to be fair there were dry spots on my shirt but this is in no way a Waterproof Nylon Poly Outer Shell, don't forget to bring the rain gear. With liner jacket is warm and wind proof, without air moves through sleeves easily. I got this on closeout so I can't say it is not worth the price, but I would think twice about buying another piece of Sliders gear. Spend a little more get a lot more

Good Idea on paper - Joe Lake Havasu City, AZ   AZ Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: Vents well. Comfortable with back pad removed.
Cons: Rain liner does not breath. Liners are a pain to install. Not warm at 50 deg.

This jacket would vent even better if the interior pockets were made of mesh, they block a lot of air. I wore this to Sturgis from Arizona and back from there through Colorado. 3 separate days in the rain two times I needed to install insulated liner. Rain liner keeps rain out but also does not seem to breathe. Little elastic hoops in ends of sleeves make fastening liners to coat a pain. same with insulation lining. I found that with a vented outer, the rain liner lays right on the insulation and transmits cold through. The low collar also doesn't help much. I specifically bought this suit so I wouldn't need to carry warm and cold gear. It doesn't work well enough to replace two sets for me. I would not recommend this combination to do that job.

Sliders allseason mesh jacket - howie77099   TX Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: low price
Cons: does not fit well and sizing is off it is much smaller than size indicates.

I purchased this jacket on reputation and price and it was a mistake as the jacket does not fit well and is smaller than size indicated and the back protector pad is uncomfortable.

    Pros: design
    Cons: color scheme

I fail to understand why the color of the outer arms and shoulders are black on the hi vis versions. Don't most people get hi vis gear so they can be easily seen from the sides as well as from the front and back. Check out the the fly coolpro 2, looks good and is highly visible from the sides.
