shinko - gary   MO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: long lasting
Cons: some noise over tar strips

I put a rear Shinko 230 tour master tire mounted backwards on the front rim of a 97 Valkyrie and it is about to turn 30,000 miles. Still has some miles left. I know this sounds unbelievable, but they either mixed the rubber wrong the day they made this tire, or this is a great tire. I just bought another one to replace the present one.

Shinko 230 Tire set - Great tires, Great deal   CO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great price, Excellent Quality, Holds to road, Fast delivery
    Cons: [None]

I saved a lot by finding these tires that were bundled as a set, and read reviews about wet and dry grip. Shipping was extremely fast and this will be first place I look for tires, since I have 12 bikes and growing.

Great Tire - Mitch NE texas   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Price. sticky tread design
    Cons: none so far

I've put a little over 1k miles on this tire so far. there is no sign of abnormal tread wear or separation. riding in the Texas summer the roads get very hot. this tire is taking the punishment. next replacement I'll need the front tire also. I will buy this tire again but I'll buy the package set and save even more

Shinko tires have my trust - Gray Hair Rider   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: great handling, low cost, excellent wear, light weight, smooth comfortable ride, easy mounting
Cons: plain smooth sidewall, tread design is not my favorite

This is my first Shinko tire in 35 years of riding and I am very impressed wth this gem. I bought a beater commuting bike recently 1989 Honda Pacific Coast and it needed a tire. I did a bunch of shopping and landed here at Competition Accessories which had the best price. 13090-15 rear is what I am using and its performance over the last 2K miles has given the tire a high rating in my book. Very good grip wet including torrential downpour on highway and especially good grip dry. Very sticky yet wearing amazingly well so far. It reminds me of the characteristics of a vintage Dunlop Sportmax tire. Superb handling and compliance compared to the old Dunlop 555 that came off the bike however. Mounted very easily after sitting in the sun on my driveway. Balanced with very little weight. Much lighter than the tire it replaced. This to be my go to tire brand in the future. Comp. Acc. was great with fast, free shipping. Will buy here again. Thanks guys

NEW TIRES - 1948boat   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Cons: Dont know of any yet

Love them, only have about two hundred miles on them now but I love how they how they look. I have my own lift so I removed the tires and wheels off of the bike myself, WOW the least I have spent on new tires, just over 200 complete with the mounting and balance.

Shinko 230 tires - Tundragod   MN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Soft rubber
    Cons: NA

The delivery was fast. I got the tires within 3 working days. After driven for 7 miles in a 68 degree temperature, the rubber felt soft but planted to the road. It's almost like car's winter tires. I hope it lasts as the temperature rises going into the Summer months. So far, I only put on approx. 300 miles in a mostly cold weather below 70 degree temperatures.

Shinko Motorcycle Tires - James A White   KY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great Value for the Money
Cons: Wish I had tryed Shinko Tires sooner

Made a new friend that rides a bike like mine. He rides 20, miles a year or so. He takes sever cross country trips and runs back and forth between Ky and Florida a lot on his bike. So I was asking him what type tires does he use and he said Shinko. The bike he rides get around 10,-12, thousand miles on the rear tires and around 18, on the front. I also get about he same on my RSVenture. His thoughts were why pay 160.00 for some other tire when you can get a Shinko for 12 that and it last just as long as the higher price tires. . He stated he is on his 6th. rear Shinko tire at this time. He also said they run smoother and handle better then most other tires out there. So I bought a Shinko for the rear of my bike. I love it it does run smooth. No more cold tire shake coming from the rear of my bike. this Shinko tire sticks like glue in the curves. It time to buy a front tire now even tho it has several more miles left on it. I would recommend Shinko tires to any one they are great on the curvey back roads and the long runs down the the interstates.

It's still too cold here in Chicago to get these tires installed. What I can tell you is these two Shinko tires for my 2008 Boulevard C90 T were sold to me at a great price with fast shipping. So although I can't tell you at this time about the tires themselves, I can tell you C.A. was very easy to deal with, prices great and shipping fast.

shinko replacement - butch   AL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: great value for the price, excellent grip in the turns, great tread design makes handling a big improvement over stock dunlop which it replaced. i should get more miles out of this tire. only got 6800 out of the factory free shipping.
Cons: no cons at this piont.

this tire replaced a factory dunlop on my 2011 vulcan 900. i was disappointed in the low mileage i got from the dunlop and wanted to try a different brand. glad i did. this is a great tire .smooth grippy handling, especially in the curves. has a nice tread design. havent ridden in the rain yet, but i think the tread design will be a benefit. im going with this tire when i replace the front, and probably when i replace both tires on my road king.the price and performance are right, and the customer service from comp aCC. is excellent.

Traction City - Jon   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Excellent traction wet or dry. Great handling. Decent wear.
    Cons: none

I purchased a set of these last year for my '03 VT1100c. I was skeptical but Shinko being the Ex Yokohama motorcycle division I figured I'd give them a try. After the first 100 miles the 230's started showing me what they could do. Wet traction was great, for this alone they are worth buying. The dry tractionhandling characteristics was way better than the Dunlop's they replaced. Lean in on curvy roads felt much more planted and smooth. Ride quality was improved as well, especially two up. I live and ride in Western NC, mountains, foothills, interstate and back roads. You never know when you'll get that afternoon shower so it's really nice knowing these tires will get you out there and back.

Shinko 230 tire - Russell C   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Exellent thread pattern, Feels solid on the road,
    Cons: None at this time

This tire is now on the rear of my 1987 Suzuki Cavalcade cruiser 1400cc, I have about t 1,000 miles on it now and it feels solid and great when riding down th einterstate. Super price for the value so far.

11,000 later I'm buying a new rear. A great value for the price.

I put these tires on my 1986 VT1100 honda about 5000 miles ago, and have been very happy with them. They seem to handle as good or better than any other brand of tire I have tried. Just a note: When I replaced my tires I replaced the front and rear so they match.

Great Tire so Far Great price. - Gordy   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great handling and grip plus smother ride
    Cons: not sure yet

I love these tire so far. I have them Front and Back on a 2002 Suzuki VS800GL. First time for Shinko. It will come down to the mileage I get out of them. Local repair shop tried to put me in Shinko 777 but I ordered the 230 tour master instead. Very happy with these. I would have rated 5 of 5 stars but am waiting to so how the perform mileage wise.
