The Scorcher 2 Mesh motorcycle riding pants are an exceptional deal for the money, with all the features of a $150 pair of mesh riding pants, but bargain priced at under $100.

When you ride in very hot weather, then you know that your legs can get uncomfortably hot. Get cooler faster and stay protected with Shadow Scorcher Pants which flow more air than regular jeans, and offer the full protection of a true motorcycle pant. With CE approved knee armor and foam hip pads you'll be protected in a fall. Plus, the knees, side of the legs and seat of the pants are reinforced with ballistic nylon, for added abrasion resistance in critical areas.

Great moto pants - JK   TN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Good padding, fit well
    Cons: heavy

I was looking for an inexpensive pair of mesh pants with waterproof lining, and these fit the bill perfectly. Although they are a little heavy, the small fit over a pair of 32 jeans, and have a velcro side waist strap to tighten if need be. Zipper to mid thigh. With the liner, they kept me warm down to 40 degrees. Without, they stay cool. Great pants.

Shadow Scorcher 2 mesh pants - JP   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: High air flow, Good fit
    Cons: none

These pants are just what I was looking for and a great price. I went up one size and tall. I'm 6'3 275 3x tall is a perfect fit. You won't be sorry with these pants

Great Summer n Cool Riding Pants - orin   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Price, Good Materials, Color , comfort
Cons: the knee pads for me suck.

First of all price. I like a deal. And these for sure are awesome for the price. I love the color I bought the silver cause I am big into being seen. They are very comfortable to wear. I love that they have the mesh for summer riding and that lining for cooler rides. I have rode with and without and they do they job on both fronts. I usually shop for my gear on revzilla and sport bike gear. I have to say I cant find these pants on there site at all. Not even close to the price and the protection that it comes with. I go back to price lets face this gear isn't all that cheap. But you want good gear and sometimes you have to pay for it. This for sure my site for my pants. Ok back to my review on these awesome pants. The mesh flows tons of air. The only downside for me was the knee pads it comes with. Maybe I am moran but I couldn't get them to fit in the positions that in the pants. Lucky for me I have my own knee pads I ride with anyways. I just ordered a black pair since its close out is running out of sizes. Thank goodness they had my size. These are a must if they still have your sizes. And for the price its unbeatable for the amount of comfort and protection that comes stock with these riding pants.

Great Pants in SoCal - Jim A.   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: The tall size is long enough, easy to wear, cool.
Cons: No access to pants underneath

At 6'4, the tall size was amazing and fit really well. I'm very happy with the pants and use them as overpants while riding to work, and then with a pair of shorts on the weekends when doing fun rides. The mesh is great, not too warm, but the insert would definitely make them waterproof and definitely warm. The only slight drawback is the lack of access via a zipper to the pants pockets underneath -- that would make these perfect. I also like the velcro adjustments on the side to make it a perfect fit. Couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Shadow Scorcher 2 Mesh Pants - Buster   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great fit , cool for summer , great protection
    Cons: Non so far

I bought these pants mainly for the NC summer heat , I have the sliders jeans that are great also but in Hot humid weather they are heavy and too warm . Love these Mesh pants, I was worried about the fit because I have trouble with all pants being long enough. 6'4 , 230lbs. I ordered the XL Long and they were perfect.

So far so good - Dave FL   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good protection, great fit, cooler than jeans, good price.
    Cons: None

I bought these to replace similar pants that were a bit large for me and could not be happier. They flow a decent amount of air, do a better job of keeping engine heat away than jeans and the sizing seems to be right on. They are even pretty comfortable off the bike. I have not had a chance to use the rain liner yet but it should work well based on a test fit. Knee pads do not bind up or irritate. If you are looking for a bit of protection, decent fit and a cooler ride, all for a good price, I'd recommend these overpants.

Fantastic warmhot weather pants - Kurt S   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Very comfortable, well made, excellent airflow
    Cons: None

I live in Texas and these pants are tremendously cooler to wear than a pair of jeans in warmhot weather. The airflow is incredible. The pictures don't show the level of mesh that these and the Scorcher jacket have. The air blows right through without any problem. I wore these pants on a 6 hour ride on a 100 degree day a couple weeks ago, and I didn't so much as sweat the entire time. Amazing. I went with the grey pants and Scorcher jacket, and look a bit like TRON when I wear both together, but it's worth it. Incredible comfort.I'm 5' 10, 185 pounds and the large jacket fits very well. Highly recommended.

Riding pants - EO   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Comfortable
    Cons: [None]

Good pants. Good protection. They fit well over my shortspants. On my F6B in 100 wheatear they were a little warm but not bad. On a naked bike I can see that they would be excellent. In cooler wheat her on my wing they are also excellent. With the extra liner in the cold or rain I can see that they would be awesome.

SHADOW Scorcher 2 mesh pants - David   MO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: great fit and waist adjustments zippered pantleg to the calf
Cons: would like to see these in high viz fabric yellow orange

These riding pants are just what i needed to get started riding again with confidence, they breathe really well with waterproof liner removed and they are just the right length for my short legs regular length.

Great pants for riding - Love these pants   NV Recommended by Reviewer: Yes

    Cons: [None]

For as long as I have had these pants I love them. They are comfortable, a lot cooler then jeans, and they fit great over shorts.

Great summer riding pants - Pete4638   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well constructed, excellent ventilation, good fit, very comfortable.
    Cons: None

I live in Western North Carolina where summer temperatures can easily get into the high 90's in the summer. This summer I decided to get a pair of Shadow Scorcher 2 Mesh Pants riding pants to make hot weather riding a bit more comfortable. When they arrived in noticed that the mesh used in the pants was a lot tighter than that used in my Tourmaster Sonora vented jacket. I was concerned that the pants would not let much air in I was wrong. These pants let in a lot of air while still providing reasonable protection from ballistic nylon panels and knee armor with hip padding. I normally wear 3830 Wrangler jeans. I bought the Scorcher pants a size larger, XL, to let me wear them over shorts. The fit is very good and the tightness in the waist is adjustable with two side attached velcro tighteners. The pants come with liners that are advertised to be waterproof and windproof. They are cut from a moderately heavy material - not the very light nylon that is so common in jacket liners - and they should hold up well for their intended purpose. I bought these pants for summer riding and I have rain pants in my luggage so I don't expect that I will use the liners very often. The Scorcher pants let you ride in hot weather with good protection while remaining considerably cooler than if you were wearing jeans or unvented riding pants. Add a vented jacket, vented gloves, and vented boots and you will find that summer riding can be fun again.

Best for the money - Foglifter   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Airflow, Sizing. Quality
    Cons: Knee pockets too wide

This is my second pair and only because I bought regular length over a year ago and bought the tall when they came back in stock this year. My go to summer pant without question. Adjustment at the waist allows you to wear over long pants but I either wear cargo type shorts under, for commute to work, or cycling shorts for trips. You can spend more but these do everything CompAcc says they do.Not an issue but the knee pad pockets on these are a little wide and the pads need adjusted every time I put them on. If they where about a half inch narrower, I don't think this would happen. If you're reading this then you're a serious shopper. Just buy them. You won't be disappointed. At this price point you can't go wrong.

Hot pants - Goldwing Rider   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great quality, fits true to sizing chart, very comfortable riding in them on long journies, I.e. Seattle to Artic Circle.
    Cons: None

Recommend highly Bought another pair just in case

Best Bargain - Bob ODonnell   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Price, Fit
Cons: Knee pads rub knees when wearing shorts underneath

I tried numerous more expensive pants in this category. I found these pants fit me best. I have a 33 inch waist, and ordered the small regular and they fit perfect. The mesh provides adequate air flow in hot weather. I have not tried them in the rain yet, but feel comfortable that they will perform well. I love the velcro and zippered legs for getting my boots on and off. I am very pleased with these pants and would buy them again.

Very comfortable - Mikedkc   AR Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Nice fit, great value
    Cons: [None]

These fit me very nicely and have adjustments on the waist as needed. I think the engine is so wide on my Tenere I don't get much of a breeze on my legs. When I need to cool off I just move my knees out and the cooling effect begins. My first technical riding pants, these are a lot more comfortable than jeans in hot weather. I like the extra knee and hip padding too. Pleased all around.

Great Summer Pants - D Nelson   CO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great ventilation, great fabric and shock absorption protection, goodbig leg zippers and easy on and off
    Cons: None

I have found these to be, especially at the price, great pants. I got the silver and with the great mesh venting, are a lot cooler than my other black overpants or Kevlar riding jeans. I'm big on wearing protective gear, but as you know they are hot n the summer. I feel comfortable and safe with a vented jacket and T shirt on top and these pants over shorts on the button. Lots cooler than the summer riding jeans I'm used to.

Scorcher pants - Thomas   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: great fit, true to size, the length is perfect The liner is easily removed and installed
    Cons: none

great price on this item, 60 less than others in the same type. With CA no restocking fee I thought I could not go wrong. I love the pants, great fit, looking forward to being able to wear shorts under them this summer.

Scorcher 2 pants - Aaron J   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fit according to size chart, liner works well, legs long enough
    Cons: None yet

I got these to both go over jeans and to use solo. I wear a 34x34 pant and these fit well both in waist and inseam, even with liner and aren't too bulky when solo. The liner works well in temps above freezing when insulated pants are necessary. Very reasonably priced with a quality build. Sturdy seamszippers with easy access leg openings. Good pants

Terrific Deal - Bee Man   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Versatility and protection
    Cons: [None]

Just got these and used them today for a 100 mile ride with temps starting in the low 40s and ending at about 60 degrees. Roomy enough to slide on over my work trousers with the rain liner in, and warm. Nice patches of reflective material on these as well.

Awesome Pants - Miles Tugo   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: High quality, great fitting product with excellent protective and comfort features
Cons: Belt loops might be a nice

Just before Thanksgiving I took a super 800 mile trip from Charlotte to Beaufort, SC with my son - on separate bikes. Started out at 8AM in 40 degree weather, arrived at the coast in 65 degree. In preparation for the trip I went into Comp. Accessories Rock Hill, SC store and tried on numerous pants, styles and sizes ending up with grey Scorcher 2s. Their huge warehouseretail store afforded seemingly unlimited selections. I wore the Scorchers over my Sliders jeans to and from Beaufort and was totally comfortable all the time. When stopping for food or fuel, the pants did not feel bulky and awkward. Great overall weight and build. Since we encountered no rain, I did not get to experience the waterproof liner benefit, but the wind protection was.. like there was no wind Also it was really great knowing that if I did take a fall that the pants would do the job they were designed to do...keep me from serious injury. Best purchase Great value Thanks CA.

great gear - Rider   WY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes

Real nice - SyracuseBMeeer   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Fit, comfort and cost
    Cons: Haven't found any yet

Package came at work on a cold day when I had ridden in to work, Put them on for the ride home 24miles at 44 degrees when I left work, 40 when I got home with the liner in place ride home was comfortable. Haven't gone for a ride without the liner yet too cold right now in upstate NY. Fit is good, I wear 36 x 30 jeans 6 ft tall and ordered XL-reg, fit great

Great pair of pants - Jpouncey54   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fit, lots of air can go through them, armor in the right places
Cons: Not a biggie but I'd like for the zippers, on the legs, to go up about another inch or two

These pants fit perfect. It was 98 degrees and I had them on over blue jeans, a tough combination. After about 30 mph the breeze through them was nice, very nice. Not a bit uncomfortable. No tight spots, not hot. I cruised for hours and hours.I highly recommend these pants. They come with a liner, I'll see how they hold off cold air in a few months, but, I suspect, I'll really like them then too

great value - new bern biker   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: great protection, great price
    Cons: none

This is an excellent product when you want protection, fit and ride in a hot climate good air flow The armor is an extra protection bonus

Scorcher 2 mesh pant - Will M   GA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Price, Air-flow, Armor
    Cons: Armor position, belt loops,

My waist is 3334 & my inseam 2930. I wanted to use the pants over underwear only not as an over-pant so size Mediumshort is perfect. Go up a size if overpant. Pant length - with bent knees the pant bottom rides up to the top of my ankle boots, walking about - just right. If your inseam is any more than 30 -go with reg. length. The knee armor is adjustable for height but when seated, as the knees are quite baggy, the armor rotates inward to the inside of your knee - no lateral adjustment. Air-fliow throughout the pant is fabulous but your knees get warm behind the armor - any discomfort sure beats road-rash There are no belt loops but I always use suspenders on bike pants anyway. The fly zipper has an inner waterproof gusset, so gentlemen, you will need to lower the pant down your hips somewhat at relief time. Try that with suspenders Overall,a great value, seemingly well made pant for the weekend rider, that has great air-flow. OH website says 99 but magazine adverts say 89 - so make sure you order by phone.

Great Pants Great Price - Guy W   WI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, great airflow, Keeps Water Out
    Cons: None

Love these pants. Have worn in 80deg weather and in rain. I stayed cool and with the rain liner they keep me dry. Great fit. I have a 36 waist and 32 inseam. I bought the XL.

Great deal on great riding pants - PBSDMark   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Look great, fit well
    Cons: Short legs

I'm 5'11 with a 32 inseam on jeans that I ride with normal 30, but I like my ankles covered when riding. The regular was a bit short for my taste, so I got the long and they're perfect I like everything about these pants. My previous ones were from Cycle Gear, and they do not seem as protective as these Scorchers. Scorchers uses thicker materials, and also has a great large-hole mesh letting lots of hot Florida air in...but yes, they're way better than jeans in hot, hot, hot South Florida. I don't think I'll ever use the liner, but they are also a thicker material that probably will stand up to putting on these pants with boots on. Love the zippers on the legs, the extra hefty fastener at the waist taking all the pressure off of the snaps, the velcro that keeps the zipper closed, the padding on knees and hips. All good...and I would not hesitate to both buy them again, and recommend to anyone looking for pants. The price is a BONUS, as I can't see the difference between these and any other higher priced riding pants. Go for it.

Shadow Scorcher 2 Mesh Pants - MamaD   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Air flow, fit, ease of inout
Cons: Velcro tends to snag your shirt

I like these and they do the job intended. The fit is good and the air flow on a hot day is great. I like the reflective patches too. The only con is that if I'm wearing something nice I have to be really careful not to let it snag on the velcro fly when I am putting them on or taking them off.

Great Addition to the Mesh Jacket - G Wolff   WI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Nice Fit, Good airflow
    Cons: None so far

Bought these to go along with my mesh jacket. I bought the XL Regular. When I watched the video the presenter said he was a 38 waiste and the pants looked a little tight. I have a 36 waiste and 32 inseam. Great in length and around my waiste.I like the fact that I can zip the pants and jacket together.I highly recommend these for safety and comfort.

Great Pants - Ken   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great fit, true to size, great ventilation, great protection.
Cons: A little difficult to get on and off with boots on. Lining gets caught on soles.

I only had about 500 miles on my Scorcher 2s before putting them to the test. I went down at about 50 MPH and slid for about 10 feet with my right foot stuck under the bike. Although the pants got ripped, the protection was in all the right places and I came away without a bit of road rash. I ended up with a broken thumb that required surgery and a badly sprained right foot and ankle..without the pants my injuries would have been much more severe. By the way I was also wearing a Shadow Air Pro Mesh Jacket that did its job. I will be replacing both pants and jacket before riding again. Thanks, Ken

Excellent pants - dblair11   ND Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great ventilation, good feel, armor, and a cold weather liner
    Cons: None so far

These pants showed up and I was so ready to ride. I slipped them on over a pair of shorts after taking the liner out and went for a cruise. I have never been so comfortably cool on my bikeThese things breathe incredibly well. I had to tinker with the knee armor a little but it fits very comfortably when I'm riding or walking around. Sizing was good, they will work as overpants or I'm sure just regular if I wanted, but I'll probably always use them as over.I highly recommend these for warm weather riding. No experience with the liner in, but i bought them for cooling and protection and they look like they will fit the bill perfectly

Great summer riding pants - RideBellChain   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Fit well, looks great
Cons: Go 1 size largerlonger when you order

Great pants. Great cooling, adjustable padding, well made, look great, reflective at night for sure. I wear 36x32 jeans and returned the regular L pants for the L long and they're great I don't like them showing my ankles while riding. I went with the silver color, I live in South Florida, and it's the best color choice to reflect the sun instead of absorbing it black.I will buy these again.

I'm Satisfied - What's a display name Bob the Cycle Guy.   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good Quality for the Price
    Cons: None yet

A good deal. Pants are a little on the heavy side. I have a 36 waist so I ordered accordingly. I'd say they run slightly big because I have no problem wearing them over jeans, which is really what I wanted. Based on the weight, I think they will be plenty warm on cool fall mornings in upstate NY. Even with the weight, I am able to bend my legs and squat, so they don't seem to inhibit movement.

mesh pant - kmkdahl   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes

Great pants so far, haven't ride in warmer weather yet. Works well with the liner in 40's, without the liner in the 50's and 60's. I normally wear 36 x 30 jean, so I ordered this- fit nice but I should have ordered 32 inseam would have work better in riding position.

great value - Pacodog   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: great price and good quality
    Cons: None so far

I needed a pair pf mesh pants to wear over jeans and work pants. I was looking at the slider 2's but these are 50 cheaper. I can't imagine the other pants are that much better. I bought the L in 32 inch length. I have a 32 inseam and measure 37 right above my belt line. These fit good. Need to cinch them up a bit for walking around but loosen them up a hair on the bike. Overall good fit. Length seems perfect when seated on the bike with cycle boots on.They only had the greysilver left but that matches my Shift mesh jacket and even looks okay with a wine colored Tourmaster 2 that I have. Don't know why I buy a different brand every time, LOL.

Not worn yet in hot weather, but look good - Steven L   UT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Lots of mesh, lots of protection
    Cons: None

Based on cold weather usage these pants clearly ventilate very well. In 40 degrees with long johns under the liner i could feel the breeze from my knees up - my upper leg area actually got a little cold. Bodes well for hot weather usage. They appear to run true to size possibly slightly larger if anything, and as noted by others, the Velcro waist adjustments provide plenty of well, adjustment. They are probably roomy enough to wear as over pants if desired, though I haven't tried that.

Great Mesh Pant - OhioADV   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Lots of mesh, great padding, comfortable, good looks
    Cons: None

For the money this is a great mesh riding pant. Good for summer hot weather but with removable liner good for cooler rides as well. Material seems very durable and the padding is in all the right places. Lots of mesh for air passage. Pants look great too, purchased the silver color and I'm very happy. True to fit on sizing.

My Shadow Scorcher 2 Mesh Pants fit better than any I've purchased so far. The liner is removable and the belt tightens up enough to keep them from making you into a plumber. Good product

Pros: Great ventilation, perfect fit, waterproof liner kept me bone dry.
    Cons: none

Just an addition to my first post....... Just got back from a 1720 mile trip up to the mountains. The pants with the waterproof liner in kept me super warm in the 43 degree weather. The pants were comfortable wearing all day long. On the ride back to Florida, I took the liner out and WOW Great ventilation............ These are Great mesh pants for an amazing price. Look at the matching jacket now.

Pros: Outstanding Quality, Light Weight, Loads of Mesh
Cons: None noted at this time.

Just received my Shadow Scorcher 2 Mesh Pants. There is no way you can beat this price. The quality is what I would have expected in a 200 pair of mesh pants. These pants have plenty of mesh and a tougher material in all the right places. I did have to re-position the knee pads but that was no problem with the three different locations they provide. The fit was perfect. I'm 6'2, 260 pound. My Levi's are a 40 waist with a 35 inseam. The XXLTall fits great. When I get on my bike the pant legs don't ride up my boots. I have no problem recommending this pants to anyone who does not want to pay a fortune for a high quality pair of mesh pants.

Shadow Scorcher 2 Pants - Danny VA   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Low cost, good air flow in warm weather, easy on and off
    Cons: None to date

An excellent bargain. I looked for a pair of overpants with protection in the knees and hips following my first accident in 20 years of riding. These pants fit well over my work pants and jeans also. Lots of air flow in warm weather, while the lining cuts down on the flow for cooler days. Easy to put on and take off thanks to the zippered legs. Heavy duty material where the mesh isn't appears to afford protection if you slide which is what I did. I followed the sizing chart and the pants fit great. I would recommend these pants to anyone interested in a low-cost, but good quality, good-looking riding pant.

Riding pants - Dualdog   MI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Cool, good fit and not too bulky

Lots of mesh panels and silver color makes for a cool ride on hot days. Solid waistband hook keeps them buckled, unlike snaps that can open inadvertently. The fit is as advertised and the armor is appropriately placed.

Scorcher mesh2 pants - J.D.L.   LA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: light and airy good fasteners
Cons: wherever the armour is hot, sweaty spot on the skin

I am satisfied. This is my first pair of armored riding pants and I've ridden for 50 years. The fit is ok, though they seem a little baggydroopy if that makes any sense, especially around the legs. The armor could use some small perforations for air flow. I promise you, you feel it on your skin as a warm sweaty spot. I bought them to try here on the gulf coast where it's very humid. I miss a loop to clip my keys and a little right side pocket for my knife

Good deal - Bob   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes

Cons: pant legs creep up legs

i just purchased these along with the matching jacket & used them on a 2500 mile trip in 55 to 90 temps with one 20 minute downpour. They were warm with liner in at 55 degrees a little clammy though. They ventilated good in 90 degree temps riding with shorts under them. I ride a 95 ultra classic with the lowers on crash bars removed. The only problem I had was the legs would creep up from around the ankles while riding doesn't seem the inseam i wear 33-34 inseam was long enough or velcro straps don't tighten enough. I maybe should have gotten the next size i purchased a medium the fit on waist was good i wear 34 waist & I was afraid the large would be way to loose around waist. Unfortunately I didn't have the liner in pants when I hit the downpour so my legs got wet but dried out quickly afterwards. They zip nicely to the jacket. Good deal for quality & price.

Shadow Scorcher 2 Mesh Pants - Johnw   MI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: low cost for good quality
    Cons: [None]

The size long fit just right 34'inseam while sitting on my bike. So far they seem to be well made. I've only been on a couple of rides with them so far, so time will tell the full story. Waist fit and adjustment were as advertised.

Shadow Scorcher Pants - Art   TN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable and pretty easy too put on. I enjoy riding in them.
Cons: First time having protective pants and a little hassle to take the time to wear them

I like the pants, but I am not sure that I like all the safety gear I make myself wear each time I ride. That's a personal issue though. The gear feels well made, rides well on the bike and has the right snaps and zippers and Velcro to snugly wear. I haven't had a chance to check wet weather riding yet so that review will have to wait. Great in cold weather into the thirties at least.

Nice - makinlifehappen   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Price, mesh, water proof liner, pockets, CE armour
    Cons: run large

Ordered a XL and they were way to big. I am 58, and roughly 200 pounds, fairly fit.36-38 inch waist and a 31-32 inch inseam.I got the XL for wearing over Acu's but they were huge on me. Got the Large and they are pretty nice.Rode 6 hours last night from MD to VA and did not need the waterproof liner until it was 50 ish and I was going 80 MPH.Not bad at all. Could have more pockets, but not a big deal. Will also be good for the summer time.

Good deal for solid quality - Chris in Portland, OR   OR Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great quality of material & contruction
Cons: Limited Airflow, even buying shorter then usual the knee armor hangs low

I very much like these pants, and since I ride a naked bike the airflow is very good. That said, the airflow is not in the same league as my old mesh pants and these might be too hot on a fully fairing-ed bike on a very hot day.I was disappointed about the knee height of the armor - I bought 30 inseam usually need 32, and when sitting on my Aprilia Tuono, which has a similar knee bend to most ports bikes out there bike the armor hangs too low. As a solution I hand-stitched the foam armor to the top of the pocket form on the inside of the pants leg, and now they are perfect. So for me only one issue that was easily resolved, and now I love these

Better than jeans - Al   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Great value on sale
    Cons: Waist fit, Mmmm

Bought this with the Jacket. Great value. No regrets. Excellent in hot weather. Cool breezes come thru. Fit is good. Watch the size though. These pants don't use a belt and are heavy. Being on the thin side myself, the Velcro waist straps don't quite tighten enough otherwise these pants work great. A smaller size would not have been suitable.

Decent Pants - VeeRay   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Plenty of air flow, zip out liner, adjustable waist.
Cons: Tight fit, knee pads do not stay up

Good price and quality seems to be fine. I am a 32x30 pant, so I ordered a medium. Waist fits fine without liner, but the inseam is a bit long. Knee pads want to become shin guards. Snug fit with liner installed. Solid value for the money.

Quality gear - Mark   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Well made. Good fit.
    Cons: A little heavy.

Warm but cooler than jeans on hot days. Worth it for the added protection when riding. A little difficult putting on if wearing boots.Would definitely purchase again.

Good Deal - Exp Rider   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Surprisingly comfortable,good fit
Cons: Lack of pockets, vents on side

I bought these in Silver and they very comfortable. With only 2 pockets in the front, I wish they more pockets and belt loops but the side waist adjusters work well. Following another review's advice, I got small regular for a 32 waist and these fit fine. Some versions of these pants by other makers have side vent openings which would , I think, make the ride cooler. They are a little on the expensive side but not by much.I was pretty happy with this choice.

Scorcher - you will bake in these - Paul   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Good value,
Cons: A bit too hot if it is over 85-90 degrees.

These are great for three seasons here in the Southwest. If it is over 85 degrees you will cook in them. Good price point though. I use these for long trips - jeans otherwise for commuting. But if i am going far i put these on.

Scorcher pants good deal - 56Seve   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Price, seem well made.
Cons: Leg zippers are not finished at the top so the pulls will come off. Hip armor is just some foam.

I was looking for some mesh summer riding pants, I have a pair of Aerostich AD1 pants but I needed something cooler for the summers around here CT. They fit a little big which is fine so I can wear some light pants under them, they flow a good amount of air I was riding my 74 Guzzi with a Wixon fairing and I was very comfortable but Temps where only in the 80's. The liner fits well, I put it in for a morning ride that started in the low 60's not sure how well they will breath when the temps go's up. For the price they can't be beat only down side so far the leg zips which for some reason they have no stop at the top so the zipper will pull off which is really annoying and a pain to put back on, I don't know if it just the pair I got our this is the way it is. Plus the hip armor is a joke just some foam but better then nothing. So they fit well, not baggy ,seem well made.

Good pants - LarryE   OK Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good fit, good quality, good air flow
Cons: Somewhat heavy, knee pockets too wide

I recently used these on a week long trip of over 2000 miles through Colorado and Utah, where one day we rode in 100 temps for over 200 miles. Without these pants I would have been suffering for sure. The pants held up great to daily use and there were absolutely no problems that I had with them. The fit was great I'm a 34x34 and ordered the MediumTall, whether I had on just a pair of bike shorts or bike shorts with pants on the cool mornings.

Does the job - Steak Fury   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Comfortable, good protection
Cons: run small, no back pocket

These are my go to pants. I do kind of wish they had a back pocket andor access to my shorts pockets when I where some under. The airflow is pretty good and they are really comfortable.

Liking these pants - LessPaul   MI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Solid build. Looks great. Well padded.
Cons: A little tight in the waist for its size.

I bought these pants as a my summer weight, hot weather overpants. I commute 40 miles RT daily and ride to work as often as weather permits. The mesh provides good flow, but because I ride a fully faired bike older Kawi Concours, I don't catch a lot of wind back there. If I get hot in the legs, I put my feet on the highway bars and am cooled off right quick. As for fit I'm about 5'-10, 185 lbs and have about a 33 waist. I bought the medium-regular, supposed to fit waist 34-36, because I was intending to use them as overpants. Inseam is perfect for me. But even with shorts on underneath, the waist still seems a bit tight...though workable. Mostly tho, I wish the flap under the fly was wider. It's little bit of a scrunch to get them on, but they're fine once up.I can't speak to durability yet because I've only had them a couple months or so, but they look as good today as when I opened the package. Not seeing any wear, and they seem to repel dirt and dust well. And I can't speak to crash protection because I haven't taken any spills in them. But the pads all seem to line up right for me without any tweaking.I like 'em.

Scorcher pants - Den   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Comfort, breathability
    Cons: Sizing

Great value. These pants come with a heavy liner that would make them suitable for cold weather. Remove the liner and BAM, great summer riding pants. They are padded a little, but there are no actual skid pads. My Biggest complaint is that the size small is still slightly big on me. I have a 31' inch waist, and have them cinched down as small as they will go. They are still useable, but I could use at least another inch smaller.

Cooling the Ride - Philip   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great value worked very well.
Cons: For whose hands are those pocket openings meant

Last year I did a 3,500 mile ride using my Roadcrafter suit. Luckily, temperatures were on the cool side, at least until the last two days of the trip. This year I knew I needed mesh with removable liners for comfort and flexibility. The Shadow Scorcher pants provided both. The mesh kept me comfortable enough on warm days, and the pant liners were easy to use for the one rainstorm encountered on the trip. Once home, washing them was a snap the crash pads removed and reinstalled easily. Fit was good I'm 6' 4 and the triple XL provided the right length and loose comfort I prefer. I did buy suspenders, which kept them in place more reliably than the waist adjustors did. The pockets TINY openings for...what...deterring pick pockets

    Pros: Good quality and value
    Cons: A bit too long

I bought the pants in size small. It is a bit too long. But it is fine when in riding position. I am 5'7 and too bad they don't make the short version in small. The quality is good and very good value compare with other more expansive pants.

Pros: Well done, seem to be of good quality
    Cons: [None]

These are nice riding pants, have plenty venting, and are well made. Just be sure to read the reviews--they seem to run big for size. I was out of town and didn't get mine sent back within the thirty days so I guess I'll have to keep pulling them up next spring.I am 6'0 200#, so ordered an XL per the chart. They fit well with my jeans on, but the idea was to wear them with shorts, so probably should have ordered a LT instead. Don't let this review discourage you, they are well worth their price.

Pros: Very good construction, price is excellent, features include rain barrier
    Cons: none

I was unfamiliar with Shadow products, but have been pleasantly surprised with the features and fit of these pants. Previously, I have owned mesh pants from a big name company and when they became too tired, I searched for a replacement pair because in SC it gets stinking HOT Because I had been caught in a rain cloud or two, I wanted a pair with a rain barrier and the Shadow pants have that very rare feature. In all, these are good pants for a low price and I will consider other items in the Shadow line in the future. The folks are CA are top notch with quick shipping and clear communication.

Cons: Front closure a little awkward

For the money I was frankly surprised by the quality of these pants. I have not used the zip out liner, but otherwise the pants perform as advertised. I'm 5'10 with a 32 inseam, and 170 lbs. I ordered the medium long and the fit is good.

Pros: seems protective, stays pretty cool on hot days
    Cons: zipper could be longer

Have worn these almost a full season over street clothes on commute tofrom work. Feels solid, so think will hold up if ever went down. Look like an astronaut in them however. Unzips on each leg from the pant cuff to the knee, so is pretty easy to get intoout of while standing up, but sometimes my shoes get caught in the mesh lining. Don't have boots, but would probably need to remove those before putting these ontaking these off. Would be better if zippers went higher. Do recommend them--great price, very protective and vent a ton of air. Normally wear 3629 and ordered a small. Without the liner, these fit perfectly -- the knee armor stays snug -- so don't need motocross shin guards.

Pros: Good protection, removable liner, great price.
    Cons: Kinda heavy

These pants, without the liner, were fairly cool to wear on hot days. I've not worn them with the liner, but don't see why they wouldn't give good rain protection or be wearable well into the cooler season. They are fairly heavy to wear around if you're doing a lot of walking, but felt fine when in the saddle. Certainly a good value for the money.

Pros: air flow, adjustable knee armor, waterproof liner, protection
Cons: ankle cinches need to be tighter, hip padding very thin

These pants are an excellent value. They provide decent protection and flow a lot of air. I particularly like the silver color because black summer pants just doesn't make sense to me.The hip padding is very thin but better than nothing and can always be upgraded. The pants have good adjustablility, particularly the waist straps. I could use a tad more range in the waist as they are still a bit loose but just barely. The ankles though need to be able to be tighter.I do not have any issues wearing shorts under these pants. Some pants have complaints that the lining or knee armor irritates the riders legs but these do not. Removable, waterproof liner is a bonus. At this price point you can't go wrong.

Great deal - Rick505   NM Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Construction, finish, protection I hope
Cons: None really, if anything run slightly largeish

I have never owned any riding pants but had planned a trip to Phoenix and knew it would be very hot. Plus I wanted to see if a pair of riding pants along with appropriate undergarment would help with the beginnings of chafing on longer rides. I can say they came through with flying colors for comfort. Luckily I did not need them for protection from road rash and hope to never test them for that. I purchased XL with about a 37-38 waist and they actually are on the largish side of fitting. Not sure if there is enough overlap to go down a size but I've snugged the velcro waist adjusters down to fit. Normally much motorcycle gear seems to run snug or small but these seem to be true to size for those interested. God airflow kept me comfortable even in triple digit temps and the rear waist zipper mated with my Fieldsheer jacket just fine. All in all a good purchase.

Scorcher 2 Pant - Matt   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Definitely cooler than jeans
Cons: Waist has only velcro adjustment

I really like these pants right out of the box from Comp. Acc. Regular length was perfect for me at 5'-9 My only wish is the pants had belt loops. With just velcro adjustment I found them a little loose and end up using suspenders. Lots of adjustment in the knees for armor placement. For the price these are the best summerheat pants you can get.

    Pros: Price
    Cons: See below.

XL-Tall is correctly sized, with plenty of leg length. Also, the Tall size is available in other than black color, which is unusual. Good waist adjustment tabs. Zippers are sturdy. Rear zipper will mate with TourMaster jackets.Knee pads are smallish. Knee pad pockets tend to ride slightly to the inside. Cuff closure velcro does not fasten tightly enough to suit me. Outside leg sipper should come up another inch or two higher, to help get the pants off over footwear. No winter liner is provided, but then, none was advertised.Altogether, I'd say they'll be fine for me. I haven't been for a slide in them, and hope not to.

Scorcher 2 Mesh Pants for big guys - BDazzler   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Decent fit, CE armor in knees, can be over pants, have rain liner, nice reflective areas
Cons: Not holding up well, side zippers need to be 1-2 inches longer for easy on and off, zipper to attach jacket is backwards from my Joe Rocket jacket

I bought these pants for a trip to the Tail of the Dragon this summer 2014. I ride a 2007 Yamaha FZ1. I'm about 510 and 280lbs. These fit better than I expected and I use them mainly as over pants. I bought the 3X short in black. I usually wear a 42-44 waist with a 29 inseam in Levi 501 jeans. I might have gotten away with the 2X short, but I'm not sure about the waist. They are a bit long on me, but I can wear them like jeans under my gut. I have used the rain liner, and it works to keep the rain off, but of course the outer pants still get wet. They dry quickly in the wind. When standing around with the rain liner not moving my legs sweat like crazy. They are very hot with the rain liner. Even though they are billed as vented, I can't tell they move much air. The mesh is mostly around the shin, and there is a bit of cooling there. The CE knee armor seems a bit low on me even in the highest pocket, but it falls into place when I'm riding the bike. The reflective areas at the bottom of the legs and above the knee are a decent size.I wish the side zippers were a bit longer to make putting on and taking off the pants with boots on a bit easier, but it's still not bad. There is a spot near the waist on the side that is mesh and it is starting to pull apart after only a few months. I'm not sure this will effect the integrity of the pants, but it shouldn't happen this soon. My other disappointment was that the zipper to attach a jacket to the back of the pants runs backwards from the zipper on my Joe Rocket jacket. I didn't know that zipper wasn't standardized. Other than that, I've been fairly happy with these pants given the price. I paid 99 for them on sale.

Scorcher 2 mesh pants - Silver ghost   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Good quality
Cons: Fit is on the large side

The pants are quite large, I would have maybe ordered a size smaller than I might think. I question the water-proof interior liner in that if you are caught in the rain you would have to strip down by the road side to zip the liner in. If the liner is in when you set off and it gets too warm, the opposite would be the case. You would have to remove them to zip out the liner, again by the side of the road. Maybe an outer liner might be a more practical arrangement. Having said that, depending on weather at the off, and not needing to change mid-flight, the pants seem quite good.

Ok Quality - Mark   SC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fit very nice, Sizing is true, Very comfortable, A lot of air flow
Cons: the quality of the stitching isn't great

I have to say for the money the pants are good the fit is very true to size, the air flow is very good on a hot day when you are moving along the air flow is wonderful but when you come to a stop as with anything you heat up. But even if you could ride you bike naked coming to a stop you would still be hot so the pants do their job. I have to say the quality of the stitching isn't very well I had only worn my pants a couple of time and they pants I ordered are very loose and no pressure point or stress was on the pants and the sown area. On the left hip area beside the pocket I noticed what looked like a rip but it was where the seam came loose and left a big hole. I called Competition Accessories and they were very nice and told me to return them to see if they could be fixed which would have taken two or three weeks if they couldn't be fixed they would send me another pair in total around three to four weeks doing without my riding pants I decided to just repair them myself than wait all that time. But all in all the pants are great for them money and yes I would buy them again. As with anything you buy there is a chance something will go wrong.

Not as good as the first pair - Ducatiloo   WI Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: Cheap, and good coverage on impact zones
Cons: Non-impact zones wear out, issues with metal waist loop

This is my second pair. My first pair I had for two years, they were silver instead of the black I went with on this pair. The original pair is still in great shape but I lost too much weight for them to fit and had to purchase another pair. The new pair I've had for a month. The mesh in the front thighs area is fraying. The metal buckle loop on the waist has jagged rivets pointing inwards, that catch on each other, so it only unlatches at a special angle. Considering how great the first pair were, it makes how bad this pair even more of a disappointment.
