: The Scorpion Trey pants fit true to the sizing chart. Which means if you will need measure yourself to get the right size, because if you go off jean sizing or pant sizing you will probably get a pair that is too small. This is a result of today's cuts being vanity sized, which means they are larger than the actual stated measurement. Just check the waist of your jeans with a tape to see what we mean. If you are going to use the Trey pants as motorcycle overpants, then also go up a size or measure yourself with some jeans on to get the right size. The waist is adjustable, but really only down in size, so if you are near the edge of a size range we suggest going up. The length of the Trey pants can easily be hemmed about 1 to 1.5 inches without any major issues if needed. As a result scorpion does not offer short sizes, only Regular and Tall.
Overall the Scorpion Trey pants are solid pair of warm to hot weather pants. The construction is mesh and textile in the impact areas. They come with a removable windproof / waterproof / breathable liner which really is useful for cool mornings or temp changes in higher elevations like mountain trips. As with any pant that has an internal removable waterproof liner, the outer shell will get wet. So if you plan on riding in the rain much or do not want the shell to get wet, invest in a good pair of motorcycle rain pants
to keep you dry. The styling is pretty subdued so they are not bad for wearing around off the bike, but I personally would remove them and just have a pair of pants or kevlar motorcycle riding jeans
under for when I am off the bike. The long zippers on the legs make that pants easy to get one and off. The Trey pants have a great set of CE armor from SAS-Tec. The SAS-Tec Motorcycle Armor
is placed in the knees and hip, plus there is reflective piping for visibility. All in All the Trey pants are a great option for summer / warm weather.
SAS-Tec Motorcycle Armor
has the highest CE rating available and is intelligent armor. It is soft and subtle, but hardens on impact and has outstanding shock absorption values: Residual force < 20 kN

Keeping the Ballistic nylon and Sas-Tec CE armor, we added a removable H2O Blok waterproof breathable liner to turn this 100% breathable pant into a barrier against the elements.
