Olympia Air Flow Gloves - Rob   MI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Inexpensive, fit well. Usually get 2 or 3 season of use before the leather wears through.
    Cons: [None]

Been using this glove for years both for short rides and cross country trips. I ride a full faired bike and they are cool enough even in hot weather. Recently had a get off and got a chance to test the protection provided. Gloves were full of holes in the outer layer but no road rash whatsover. I ordered another pair.

    Road Glide, Concours, & KZ1300
Just bought second pair - bought the first pair 10 years ago at the Itnl Bike Show in Chicago. Excellent glove for summer riding! The old pair is still good just getting a little tatered. Ten years and well over 60,000 miles of riding can't be beat and for less than 20

Olympia 4350 gloves - jr   AL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Excellent quality, warm, wind and waterproof
    Cons: none

I bought these for my Alabama winter gloves and all year wet weather gloves. They work great. The fit and stitching is really good and since they aren't bulky the feel is almost as good as unlined ropers. An added bonus is the Velcro wrist closure. It allows the glove to easily fit over your jacket sleeve and close firmly for a good seal or, if you prefer, to seal around your wrist and slip inside your jacket sleeve. The leather is supple and just feels good. So far, the gloves seem durable and are holding up well. I'm glad I got them

warm fingers - Curtis D   KS Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: very effective and good design.
    Cons: [None]

I have used these several times now. Working 2nd shift I usually don't get on the road till about midnight for a 20 minute commute to my home town. I was amazed at how warm my hands stay - especially the fingers riding against 60 mph winds. My hands tended to cramp but that was resolved using a simple cramp buster on the throttle so I can relax my grip. These gloves are well worth the money and will help me keep riding till the snow flies.

Good Cold Weather Gloves - Jonathan   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Lots of insulation and long gauntlet
    Cons: [None]

I don't like tight gloves so I always order larger and these were still a little snug. Just getting cold out now and they are warm down to 50 degrees so far about 40 with wind chill. I expect they will loosen up a bit after some use. Good quality and value for the price.

Great Value Gauntlet - FJRpilot   GA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Fit, Finish, Value
    Cons: None yet

I needed a new FallSpring gauntlet and CompAcc's price, and my experience with Olympia gloves still have a serviceable pair from 28 yrs ago sold me. These gloves, size XL on my size 11 hand were snug, but have broken in nicely. The first sensation I had when riding these gloves was one of superior protection I felt like a superhero Nice pre-curve that works well with two finger lever covering. Gauntlet fits over all of my jacket sleeves. The yellow stitching looks track worthy and complements a Hi-Viz yellow jacket nicely. You'll only notice the back hand vent scoop on a naked or minimally faired bike. On my FJR, 80 F is about the limit of comfort, but I expect this glove to work down to 40 F on my unheated grips. Bottom line Great value in a superior, protective glove.

PERFECT - maritess   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: perfect fit, stretches to accommodate your hand's contour -- long lasting
    Cons: [None]

I love these gloves. They are easy to wear, easy to wash, and keeps its shape. The velcros are excellent. The reflectors are cool. I chose this glove above Harley Davidson's gloves, even though my jacket and pants are all HD leather.I HOPE THEY MAKE IT IN ORANGE AND WHITE VERSIONS, ALSO I hope that the manufacturer will make the same style with longer cuffs for winter rides.

Good Summer Gloves - Stryder   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fit well, let in a good amount of air, offer modest protection
    Cons: none as of yet

Was looking for a good summer glove that offers good dexterity and better protection then the dirt bike gloves I would run in the summer. My hand measured out at the break off point for medium and large, went with the medium and fits fine. Gloves look cool and offer decent cooling for your hands wo sacrificing a whole lot of protection. The gel is there but not in a large quantity, which is what I was looking for. I have a winter pair of Olympia gloves and those are awesome. This pair of Olympia's came out quickly, well constructed and are holding up well so far. I am becoming a fan of Olympia gloves and may just have found my brand for gloves from here on out.

Pros: Great quality gloves, good for warmer weather
    Cons: None

I love Olympia gloves. I have used them for years and have two pairs. I have one pair for warmer weather and another pair for cold weather. The 410 Gel Sport Gloves fit well and are durable. That is very important to me. They don't tear or wear out. They fit my hand very well and prevent air from running up my sleeve because they fit around my jacket sleeves. I highly suggest you give these gloves a go. I think you will be impressed.

Pretty Good Gloves - Jake D   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: waterproof
    Cons: hands did sweat

I bought these gloves for a cross-country trip. I ran into some rain and used the gloves along with my rain suit. The first time I put them on, they went on very easily and did a good job of keeping my hands dry, however they did not breathe and my hands got sweaty. The next time I tried to put them on, and each time thereafter, the lining was twisted in several of the fingers making it very difficult to get them on. I was very careful taking them off to not get them tangled but it was very difficult. Once you get past the lining and get them on, they will keep your hands dry from rain, but still cause them to sweat.

Pros: true to size, good quality
    Cons: [None]

Well I have not used them in the rain, but did test them in a bucket of water and they stayed dry. Fit is true to size. My measurements were on the line between large and extra large. Chose the large. A bit tight, but working out as I break them in. Nice look and feel. Good for autumn weather, probably will be a bit hot for summer use. Needs a bigger gauntlet.

Great Warn Waterproof Gloves - Ryan   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: waterproof and warm..
    Cons: [None]

As light and thin as these gloves are, they work great. I have had a chance to wear them recently in 55-65 degree weather. As we all know gets even colder at 65Mph. These gloves kept my hands warm, by keeping the chilled winds off my finger tips. I know others have mentioned the lining. I have not had an issue removing the glove with sweaty palms, by pulling the gloves off from the finger tips. So, far an excellent cool to cold weather glove.

    Pros: fit, warmth, comfort
    Cons: [None]

I've also had a pair of these gloves for at least 15 years. I'm on my second pair, and the 2nd pair seems no different than the first. Extremely comfortable, just warm enough without being bulky and making it uncomfortable or difficult to grip. A silk weight liner adds another 10 or 20 degrees. these have easily been the best cool and cold weather gloves I've had. Other waterproof and insulated gloves only make my hands sweaty and clamy, and then of course cold.

Comfortable - milwaukeebrewhouse   WI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warmer than expected, can wear them in rain
    Cons: Few

Warner than expected. I have a sport touring bike without heated grips and these gloves are warm enough for my 13 mile ride to work when it's in the 50s.Had same brand gel gloves with leather palm that seemed like they were better quality, but these with the synthetic material on the palm do not turn my hands purple if I wear them in the rain. The leather took forever days to dry, and while these dry faster they still take longer than expected yet, only hours--I still pack a second pair of gloves. Synthetic palm material works great to clear visor in rain. Wearing these in the 50s while its raining is pushing it even for my 13 mile ride, but they are more comfortable and give me more feel than my waterproof snowmobile gloves.

The Goretex really seems to work. My hands have stayed dry and warm in a variety of temps from 30 to 50s in the rain and in one case snow. they really do not interfere with the lever or feel of the bars. Great gloves for the money. Much better than my over priced Revit and Held gloves..

They are padded well, bulky, and provide excellent protection if I were to crash.

Nice Gloves - CydRyder   NE Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Great fit, good airflow
    Cons: [None]

I have about 10 pairs of motorcycle gloves. Like Goldilocks I was still looking for the perfect pair. They were either too hot, too difficult to get on, didn't fit right or chafed someplace. I received these last weekend nice, prompt delivery by Competition Accessories and I love them. They fit wonderfully. The fingers are a tad too long until you grab the hand grips then they're just right. They flow a lot of air so my hands stay nice and cool. The palms have gel in them and are made of some sort of soft material that really gives you a good grip on the handlebars. They are easy to put on and the hook and loop wrist closure is very soft and holds well. They are made with the same quality as my other Olympia gear and are very reasonably priced. Dang, now I'm going to have to spend my time riding instead of searching for my next pair of gloves -

    Bruno RS1
Been riding with a pair of these gloves for 3 summers now I wear an insulated glove in cooler seasons, the leather is soft and broke in quickly. The gel in the palms really does reduce the amount of vibration transmitted to the hands. Cool with plenty of airflow on all but the hottest days when no glove is really "cool". Beginning to show wear after many long rides, a lot of on and off and daily commuting, some of the perforations are beginning to tear. I will be buying a new pair this week as I feel I got more than my moneys worth in comfort and use.

So far so good! I got these to ride in the early spring and I am very happy with them. I have ridden in temps as low as 18 degrees and with my heated grips, I was very comfy. Even had to turn the grips to a lower setting. Tactile feel is a little vague with these gloves, but after some practice, they are easy to operate the controls. I have tried out the waterproofness and can say they are completely waterproof. Very happy customer when it comes to these gloves.

Pros: Comfortable, light weight, quality leather, reasonable price
    Cons: Inconsistent fit

I bought these gloves to replace an identical pair that I have worn for at least ten years. With the original pair, the right glove was slightly tighter smaller than the left. With the new pair, the reverse is true, the left is tighter than the right Not enough to cause discomfort, just a little harder to put on. Otherwise, excellent value. I'm glad I was able to find the same ones I had enjoyed for so many years.

    Pros: Great Glove
    Cons: Very bad sizing

My husband wears an XL in almost all gloves, including his old pair of these...after several years of wear and tear on his old pair, we finally ordered him another pair. He absolutely loves these gloves, but the sizing is definitely off on the newer ones. We ordered an XL and he couldn't even get his hand half way in the gloves. So we exchanged them for a 3XL....these he could still barely get his hands in them. Knowing they would stretch, we considered keeping them, but the fingers were now way too long...there was excess room at the tips of the fingers and thumb, so we will be returning them.If you do not have a wide hand, they may be fine in regards to size. If you can get the right fit, the gloves are awesome, which is why I rated them with 4 stars....dropped one star for sizing issues

Pros: Dry, Warm and Good Control Feel
    Cons: Short gauntlet, no armor

I have used these gloves for many years and had to buy a new pair when I lost a glove on a trip. Thin enough to really feel your heated grips and to give good control feel, yet are as warm or warmer than the big, puffy winter gloves. I have been comfortable in wet, mid-30's conditions. They have held up well over the years. The wrist closures are comfortable and secure. The short gauntlets work fine with my rain jacket as the elastic cuffs catch the gloves at the closures and stay put for leak-free performance. I'm less confident with the interface with my Aerostitch jacket . There is no wind leakage but I've never done big miles in the wet with this combination. Overall, highly recommended.

Decent glvoes - Mike   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Touch nub on fingers works, good grip feel, comfortable
Cons: Cuffs could be more snug, the nubs are exposed too much

These are a decent feeling pair of mechanics-style gloves they are quite comfortable. The cuff could fit more snugly, and the closure tab could be a bit less bulky so the gloves fit better under a tight jacket cuff, but they aren't bad. The touch 'nub' at the ends ot the index fingers and thumbs seem to work well with my iPhone 4S. The only risk is that the nubs they're like little pencil eraser-shaped additions to the tips of the thumbsindex fingers are exposed to the levers and even though I haven't worn them too long, the clutch side index finger's nub is showing a little wear already. It makes me question how long they'll truly last. I'll be able to better review these after a full riding season, but for now, they work as advertised.

Typhoon 186 is really waterproof - Typhoon 186 is really waterproof   KY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Waterproof
Cons: Gauntlet could be longer. Olympia glove sizing.

A real waterproof glove. I've ridden in storms with them and stayed dry. I tested them by holding them under the kitchen faucet. Dry.I originally ordered the Hurricane 190 because of the longer gauntlet. A longer gauntlet will keep the rain from getting up your sleeve. Sadly, I could not find a size that fit with the 190. The largest size, XL, fits more like a medium. I then ordered a 2XL with the 186. That was a TRUE 2XL. What is up with sizing from Olympia I chose to keep the 2XL and I can always put a glove liner in them. I also avoided yet another shipping charge by keeping them. These gloves are also good in cool weather. I haven't tried them in cold weather, but I have other gloves for that. One other quibble. The palm has a few non-slip areas where the exterior material is textured. I wish these areas provided even more non-slip characteristics.Overall, a good and truly waterproof glove.

    Pros: Fit
    Cons: Long term durability

I LOVE these gloves...but...am a little concerned about their long term durability. I am a police motorcycle officer and have purchased at least 4 pairs of these gloves over the last 5 years. I ride for work only April thru October and seem to wear out a pair in that time frame. The fingertips break thru first, then the stitching in between the fingers seems to go second. I do like the gel palms....helps with comfort when riding a junk rattler Harley for 10 hrs. Although I feel they should last longer, I will continue to buy at least 1 pair a year.

Pros: mesh allows air flow, wrist fits & easy closure
Cons: fingers are shorter than usual

Best-fitting gloves I've found so far. Been using my husband's gloves, since they fit as well as some of the women's gloves I tried previously - which isn't saying much. These are almost perfect - except the fingers are just short enough in the Medium size that the finger seams irritate my fingernails which are short because of guitar-playing. I'm going to try a large & see if it's a better fit.

VERY comfortable summer gloves. Love the gel in the leather palms. I wish the joined stitched parts were a little more durable, because after purchasing 4 pairs of these gloves in 5 years, they all have failed at about the same usage as the previous pair. I'm a motor cop and ride funeral escorts off duty as well. I'm on the clutch constantly when working and the left forefinger, thumb and left palm wear out the fastest. Getting them wet accelerates the wear. I still prefer these gloves over all others I've worn. I like the smaller reflective aspects also. They are present but not over done. Working durability is marginal at best.

Great Gloves - Jennifer   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great fit, comfortable, good grip
    Cons: Length

I love these gloves The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars, is I wish that they were a little longer at the wrist and that they were a tad longer in the fingers. They are very comfortable for driving and riding passenger.

    Pros: Comfortable well made gloves
    Cons: Runs small

Order a full size larger than you normally would as these gloves run small. They are well made as all Olympia gloves are and need no breaking in as they are soft leather. Time will tell as how well they wear.

warm & dry as promised - scooter ump   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: stayed dry as advertized-love HI Viz
    Cons: Not perfect fit ...yet

Wore these in size M & with generous gauntlet able to put over Tourmaster Defender rain jacket wrist cuffs. Were worn in dry 45 degrees going 65 mph & during heavy rain & hands stayed dry & warm throughout ride. Only complaint is less than perfect, pretty snug fit for new gloves.I like my gloves to come on-off easily with little effort. I'm hoping as these are made at least partly from leather ,they will stretch with wear & I could then give 5 stars.

Decent Value - Chris J   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Light weight, stays cool, comfortable
Cons: sizes run small, so recommend a size larger than you normally wear

I bought these gloves while they were on sale and for the price they are a great pair of gloves. The material allows your hands to stay cool and flex nicely as you move and extend your fingers. The gel padding helps with comfort on the grips. I am hoping they last a long time.Be sure to buy a size larger than you normally wear as I found them to be a bit small.

Nice Gloves - Jesse   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Very comfortable and good air flow
Cons: Nylon on sides of fingers gets chewed up a bit by velcro

Great gloves for the money... Very comfortable, no break in required. Only issue l have had really no biggie is that the velcro from the wrist closures on my jacket sometimes catch the soft nylon material on the sides of the finger areas and chew it up a bit. The gel is nice and exactly what l was looking for... I wouldn't hesitate to buy these again.

These gloves are dang good winter gloves. Comfy and warm. On the coldest nights, upper 20's and on the highway, your digits will be getting cold, but for anything warmer and slower than that they'll keep you good.
I actually wear them for my coldest weather bicycle commuting and dog walking, too. And with that kind of mixed everyday use they're holding up very well.
I've been happy with all my Olympia gloves and this is probably my 4th pair of Olympia's that I've had.

warm but not good for short fingers - george k   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: warm, wind resistant
Cons: hard to move fingers for those with short fingers

i may have to wear these in a lot more, but after an hour or so, i switched to my regular gloves. these feel like the liner is separated from the leather, and so i never felt comfortable grabbing the clutch and brake. i do have short fingers and got the small size.

    Pros: Nice fit. Looks good.
Cons: Not enough gel in palms or not positioned properly. Does not feel like it has any cushion.

Not for long rides. Looks and feels great when you put them on but does not really cushion the palms.

decent glove - rufus15   GA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: breath ability, soft leather
Cons: finger length short, knuckle pad iritating

caution not to size, measured out for a large and it was quite tight. thought it would stretch a little and went for a ride and finger length not there as well the back knuckle pad or plastic piece was some what irritating to the knuckles with hand wrapped around the throttle. I wanted to like these gloves and they got good reviews for summer use in the south, but they fell short. I should have returned them right away for a larger size, but wanted to try them first and now it's too late. I still would recommend these gloves, with these shortcomings in mind at purchase.

Pros: Comfortable, good for summer heat, padded palm, great styling
Cons: Stained skin and left bits of leather on hands, but that can be fixed read on

Soft, padded, good ventilation and good looks. My palms meaure 8.5 around and my middle finger is 3 long, and XL size fits me well. Like all the other unlined gloves, these left my skin stained black after the few first rides, and little bits of leather covered my hands. My solution was to turn gloves inside out, brush lightly with wire brush to remove leather bits on the rough interior, hand wash inside out in warm water with liquid laundry detergent changing water at least 5 times water will come out black if you are rubbing well, leave them 2 days in a bucket of water with liquid laundry detergent changing water once a day, air dry, turn right side out carefully and apply a good quality leather conditioner on the outside and wipe the excess with a clean rag. Problem solved.

Nice glove but not that water proof . I used them on my last trip and any steady ran they will get wet inside. then very hard to get your wet hands back in. fingers get all twisted inside . They are warm I have used the from 40 to 70 to warm after 70 . I would say use them for light rain and cool weather

cheap gloves - dubluz   Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: inexpensive for protection
Cons: cheap materials, poor fit, uncomfortable

I've given these gloves a month to change my mind, unfortunately the more I wear them the less I like them. the leather is poor quality, gel palms are pretty thin and hardly provide any cushion. My biggest complaint is the knuckles the plastic inserts become very irritating after 30 mins of riding or so, the shape just doesn't account for gripping the handlebars. I gave them two stars rather than one, just since they do provide protection at a cheap price.

get what you pay for... - zewerw   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: waterproofing is good
    Cons: not very warm

I guess for the price they aren't bad... so that's why I'm recommending them... but, they do not keep your hands very warm at low temps.. I rode in 40-50 degrees and the wind just came right on in, chilling my fingers to the bone,. almost instantly. They are also very bulky, it's like wearing pillows on my hand, hard to use controls at all... finger length is also not good, way too long. for a size large, which is what I normally wear. I only used them in a light rain, so they didn't get a good test on waterproof...

get what you pay for - not a bargain   TX Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: cheap
Cons: not warm, cheaply made, misrepresentation

Right out of the package I knew I'd been had... the gloves are so cheaply made they look like they were sewn together by a group of monkeys... they do not even look like the picture on the website... they have 0 finger articulation, they are stiff rigid, the fingers are way too long to be a size large, which is what I ordered, I can use my controls at all... I wore them on one ride and have not bothered to try them again... it was about 45 degrees that morn and my hands got cold almost immediately.. within the first five minutes my fingers hurt. as for the so called rain proof aspect that is advertised I haven't tried it.. but if the wind gets thru, so will the water.. bottom line is, these gloves suck. don't bother.

Olympia 715 x tremendous gel gloves - Grizzly   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: [None]
Cons: Undersized, plastic knuckle fittings dig into knuckles

These gloves are inadequate in several ways. First of all, the large size is undersized..I wear a large in everything else, these are just wrong. I've had them on for several day long rides now and they've never stretched out. The plastic knuckle fitting over index finger continually digs into my knuckle and thumb is too small, feels constantly constricted. Gel on palm is very thin and inadequate. Throttle hand is constantly going numb. Left hand as well. I'd return them but just don't want to hassle it. Will probably give 'em away when I get the chance. I'm done with this brand and with mail order gear.

Pros: light, soft liner, thumb squeegee
    Cons: NOT waterproof difficult cuff

These are not waterproof. Period. Waterproof gloves zero starsI have worn them several times and every time they become soaking dead goats hanging off my hands ... so wet in fact that the water eventually works it way up my forearms in my otherwise waterproof gear.If you ever have to take them off wet they will never go on again as the sloppy lining is a nightmare ... forcing me to cross the US-Can boarder bare handed from toll to customs on 2 separate occasions then switch back to my shorties in the rain.I am still looking for real waterproof gloves ...
