National Cycle revolutionizes windscreen performance with the VStream® Windscreen. The patented "V" shape and advanced dimensional contours push the wind vortex away from the rider's head, resulting in a peaceful, quiet riding environment. The passenger's comfort is improved as well.
VStream windscreens deliver unprecedented durability and optical clarity through the use of 4.5-6.0mm thick Lexan® polycarbonate.
Nothing else comes close to matching the impact strength of polycarbonate, making it the ideal material for motorcycle windscreens. It is 10X stronger than H.I.A. and 20X more impact resistant than acrylic plastic.
FMR hardcoated Lexan® polycarbonate gives the VStream outstanding optical clarity and strength. It has 23X better crack and impact resistance than aftermarket acrylic screens. This is one tough windshield.
VStream Windscreens are measured vertically from the bottom center edge to the top of the screen, and horizontally across the back at the widest point.
Note: Fairing-Mount VStream Windscreens use the bike's original mounting hardware. Fork-Mount VStream Windscreens include all brackets and mounting hardware.

Great noise reduction improvement - LarryV MA
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Reduced noise considerably over stock. Easy installation. Simple wo adjustment.
Cons: Can scratch fairly easily if not careful parking bike in garage -
Immense difference in noise reduction from the factory installed 2012 Suzuki DL650 wind shield. From intolerable to pleasant. Now I can hear my bike and not just wind turbulence. Satisfied with it and even at legal highway speeds. I purchased the medium heightsize model and installed to the maximum height that still allows me to look over the top of the shield FYI - I'm 5'10 and wear a 34 helmet. IMO this should be the first accessory one purchases for a stock V-Strom. No regrets whatsoever.
V Stronm V stream wind screen - wingririder PA

Pros: Increased MPG and wind protection
Cons: None yet
Most of the time when you put a larger wind screen on a motorcycle you experience a decrease in gas mileage. I was averaging around 60 mpg on my 2013 DL650 and am now getting 63 mpg riding daily the rural roads of northeastern PA. What a surprise and the wind protection is superb when riding in the upper 20's, March. Now that it's June riding is even more enjoyable. Noise and buffeting is also noticeably less. Easy to install, have it set at the lowest height otherwise top cuts across the middle of my vision, 5'11. I'm glad I invested in this windshield.
