    Just returned from a 3000 mile trip.Seems to wear well and performed well under all weather conditions. Traction was a concern, but handled Phantom Canyon dirt road and crossed Ozark creeks wo any problems. I hope they will match the 13000 miles I put on a set of Anakee 2's.

    Mounted a set on my DL650. Rode nearly 11,000 mi. before worn down to the wear bars on rear tire. Over half of that mileage was 2 up,high speed heavily loaded, extremely hot conditions. More than enough grip for the DL650's ground clearance. Just make sure they are warmed up before trying to drag hard parts. Never got more than 7,500 mi. on any rear tire before this. OK on gravel and dirt at a sane speed.

    My new Anakee 3's handle great on the road. My fully loaded GS tracks straight as an arrow at interstate speeds and goes through the corners like an egg going down a goose's neck After a 1000 mile trip I see no bad wear of any kind so, if I get as good of mileage as Michelin claims, I have found my favorite tires. The tire has surprisingly good grip off road and the stable feel instills confidence, even in this old-timer.

    First off, I'm using the 15070 X 17, on a Harley Davidson Softail-FatBoy FRONT Rim, I modified to use on my 2008 CrossBones. Springer Front End. The REAR Tire I'm using is the Michelin Pilot Sport 20550 X 17.The Anakee gives me additional weight, and better grip than anything else I have used up front. This includes Dunlap and Pirelli tires. I run this Tubeless and at 30psi. Same as the rear. The combination of Tires I have on this bike perform better than what HD offered in the stock form, in my opinion. Anakee 3 15070 X17 FRONT, Pilot Sport Plus 20550 X 17 REAR. I will stick to this combination.

    Have only had the Anakee 3's on my V Strom 1000 for about a week. Absolutely love the the tires. Have been on wet pavement and twisties. Handled terrific. Haven't tried on dirt as yet, but expecting them to be just fine for an 8020 tire. I have a couple of friends that run the Anakee 2's and they are very happy as well. Would definitely recommend this tire to AT riders that are doing mostly asphalt with a 20 percent mix of dirt.

    Overall, I really like the Anakee 3 tires. I chose them because of excessive positive feedback in the Adventure-Touring Community I ride a 2012 Suzuki DL650. Michelin and riders says I should get approximately 15-20,000 miles out of these tires, and I hope that is true, because that's why i spent the extra money.The GoodIt is hard to tell in pictures, but the tread on these tires is MASSIVE. At first glance, they look like street tires. That's on purpose and they perform very well on the street. But the VERY deep channels perfectly clear away mud and water that gets in the grooves, keeping the tire firmly planted. Going from old tires to these I felt as though I was sitting on top of a ball. It felt almost tipsy at first. I guess that's what I get for letting my old tires go so far. The first 250 miles or so you need to be careful going across Road Paint turn arrows and such because they are a bit slick. But, after that I've felt the tires hold very well. Also, watch out for tar snakes.On the dirt, I can immediately tell this is where these tires shine. They provide EXCELLENT feedback to the rider. At first, I thought they were extremely squirrely and on loose sand they can be but I am starting to conclude that they are more planted than my old tires, but the difference is I can FEEL the moving around because these tires are MUCH firmer than my old Bridgestone TrailWings OEM.I have not ventured into any REAL mud, just through a few little puddles, but I see no reason why they won't grip VERY well.The BadBecause these tires are very firm, they really do provide a little too much feedback to the rider when on the highway. I find the ride comfort to be slightly reduced do to extra vibration and front-end wobble due to the deep grooves in the tires. The ride comfort is significantly less than true touring tires, and a little less than my TrailWings. In addition, these tires are VERY loud. The service shop even noted that during the checkout ride. On my Vstrom, this is significant because it is a very quiet bike when the wind noise is managed. The tires also feel less planted than my TrailWings in soft sand however, perhaps I'm still getting use to them. I have never felt like I was going to dump the bike, but I DEFINITELY need to be standing on the pegs going through it because the bike needs to be able to move. Experience will prove that these tires are great off-road.Summary Great 8020 roaddirt tire. They will last a LONG time for you tourers and will allow you hit to some pretty good fire trails and service roads. They are loud...your buddies will probably let you know about it, but then you'll leave em in the dust on the trail. They aren't Off-road tires...so they aren't as loud as knobbies, but you'll know you put a new tire on. Great tire. I will buy them again.

    Bought 2 sets, one for Triumph Exp 1200 and the other for Triumph 800 Tiger. Only have about 600 miles on each set but on both bikes they are very secure feeling, turn-in is very light , they are very compliant on small bumps - irregular pavement, with very good gravel road traction for 9010 tires. Overall road traction and feel is excellent. The only slight annoyance with the tires on both bikes was a noticeable 'hum' between 60-70 mph, NOT a vibration. This was mostly cured by lowering the air pressure slightly front and rear.

    Mounted up a set of these on a 2012 Super Tenere. What a huge improvement over the OEM supplied Trail Wings It is like having a new bike, especially when you head into the corners. The sugar sand in Florida will do bad things but then again it is a pretty heavy bike and that is to be expected. Overall, spectacular tires and a great addition to the Yamaha.On top of that, super service from Competition Accessories

    As always, great service, price, accuracy and speed from CompAcc Ordered on a Tuesday evening, delivered to Upstate NY on a Friday morning.Replaced a set of Anakee 2s on my '12 Super Tenere 1200 last weekend with these Anakee 3s. The 2s had 8500 miles on them and were not done, but had started to square off in back and sing a bit in the corners. I estimate the backs had another 1000 miles in them, and the fronts another 3-4000 to go. The 3s went on with a little more effort and seem to have a slightly stiffer sidewall on the rear. The fronts felt the same. There was no sign of mold release, and they were squeaky and sticky from the start. The rear balanced with no weight, and the front with two tenths of an oz. Nice There are no markers for heavy or light spots on my set.They are smoother and quieter, but still have a touch more hum than a pure street tire. I have only done one short gravel stretch so far, but they felt very stable and planted, with no hunting in the loose stuff like a pure street tire. On the road, they turn in with very neutral pressure on the bars and stay down in the turn without any additional pressure. They don't fall in under braking or stand up. Very light, neutral handling. Running 36 lbs on the front and 40 in the rear. Will try them two up this morning for the first time.Overall, very happy so far, and hoping for at least as many miles out of them as the Anakee 2s they replace. Since 90 of my riding is on paved roads, with gravel making up most of the rest, I think this will be a great tire. Ride SafeRobhttpmotopumps.com

    I was skeptical at first, I'm the first to admit it, but it didn't take me long to realize that this tire was everything Michelin said it was. On the road it snakes through the twisties like a street tire, off road it runs like an enduro tire. Mud, not so much, but then again, you can't have it all
