Metzeler's all-new Roadtec Z8 Interact™ sport-touring motorcycle tire is now ready for the highways and mountain roads with several much appreciated advances including its Greek Pi (p) tread pattern, new contoured profiles and nano-scale compound solutions matched to a well-proven Interact™: Multi Zone Tension technology structure for performances from the first mile, at full-load and in all weather conditions. The combination of these features make Roadtec Z8 Interact™ the perfect tire for modern Sport Touring needs, dedicated to riders making long-distance journeys and to devoted all-season sport riders with reliability and riding easiness to enjoy the distance, safely.
New generation of profile matched with new patented tread design provides easy handling and reduced push steering for maximum confidence in all maneuvers
Easy riding for maximum enjoyment
Metzeler's new Roadtec Z8 Interact™ is yet another class-leading tire committed to riding enjoyment, that is, a tire with versatility of use, comfort and safety (especially under wet conditions) that permits you to focus on the ride. Roadtec Z8 Interact™ provides increased riding enjoyment initially through a new generation CMT (Contour Modeling Technology) profile that reduces push steering force by 5% versus its predecessor, immediately elevating the overall handling capabilities and easiness of various bike setups. This was achieved through a reduced cap section height, resulting in a more rounded curvature design to improve handling and increased stability. Although the profile has measurably quicker steering transitions, an incredible safety feeling is still present through a predictable turn-in rate that adds confidence to challenging riding such as panic situations on the wet while braking or low-speed turns on mountain passes.
Additional elements of riding enjoyment like excellent handling, stability and reduced road noise are attained by mating this tire profile to the latest structural innovation: Interact™ multi zone tension technology, along with a functional tread pattern and temperature resistant compounds. A final footprint area 8% wider as compared to the Roadtec Z6 Interact™ is the outcome of a variation of steel belt tensions and a strategically placed tread pattern which optimisms pressures in the footprint area.
Everything about the new Roadtec Z8 Interact™ has been designed to put the rider in control. It responds like an extension of the rider's instincts, creating an invigorating blend of precise riding feel and effortless handling.
Roadtec Z8 Interact™ is capable of making the ride easier in all conditions, no matter what bike: it allows the rider to enjoy the distance, safely.
New modern look: p design allows optimization of the elastic properties of the structure to obtain the best contact between tire and road in any condition
3 zone tension (Interact™ Technology) gives mileage on straight and grip in lean
New high silica compound with nano - particles increases performance and safety in all weather conditions

Pros: Long wearing and great in turns
Cons: haven't found any yet
Tires have 5K on them and they're wearing great. I tend to over-inflate slightly cause I like a stiffer ride. I have a BMW R1100RT, and have had trouble with tires wearing unevenly in past. These tires are starting to show a little wear in the rear, but look as though they could go another 3-5K. I think the big difference in my long and even wear might stem from the balance beads I put in the tires when mounting not 100 sure, but I already have more miles on these than I did my Dunlop's, and I feel 100 more comfortable in the turns. Reuben did a review on the balance beads which is why I tried them, they may be the reason for the great wear, but Metzeler's have always performed great for me on my small sports cars so I thought I would try them on my bike, and I'm very pleased
