I can't believe no one has commented on these tires. They are great!!!! I put the 200/18 on the rear of my 09 Yamaha Vmax after burning up the crappy stock Bridgestone. So I wasn't going to expect much better from a touring tire. Man was I wrong this tire is amazing how good it hooks up with 212 hp and 127 tq at the crank. Handles great in the twisties too. Going to change the front to this model as well.
Rocket II Roadster & ME880 Rear Tire - DaveinDallas TX

Pros: Decent grip and longevity, Handles 140 ftlb torque well
Cons: BrakingGrip in wet could be a little better.
I got about 6000 miles on my rear tire on My Rocket III Roadster. The front is still good and I may get 10-12K on them. I am hoping to change them when the new rear tire is ready. They handle the Rocket's torque very well in the dry, and lasted reasonably well considering a 800 pound bike with more torque and power than almost anything else out there, and a 200 pound rider and sometimes with luggagepassenger as well.Had a 'moment' a few times on a slick road when pulling off and lost traction under gentle power.I would rate them a 5 if the mileagelongevity was a little better. I did use the power aggressively when I first got the bike, and perhaps as I tone down my riding the next set will last longer. All in all, a confidence-inspiring tire.A pity that the only other competition is the Avon Cobras. I would love to try a Michelin but they do not make them for this bike.
