LS2-SC3 helmet - Major Dave TN
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Light-weight, ear curtain, quick-connect on strap, paint finish
Cons: Drop-down visor too far awy from eyes plus doesn't drop down far-enough
This helmet has a very easy removal of the drop-down face shield, however neither the helmet or the face shield if purchased separately come with any instructions of how to remove it. When I called Competition Accessories customer service, they did not know how to change-out the shield, either. But, you can go onto YouTube and type-in LSR SC3 visor removal, and they show how simple it is. By-the-way, don't bother calling LS2 because they will ask you to call the dealer where you bought it Unreal Other than that, the visor is about one and a half inches too far away from your faceeyes, and really allows far too much air swirl behind it, and is TERRIBLE in the rain The great things are that the paint finish is very nice and pretty durable, and the attachable ear-curtains are very helpful in the rain, or on cooler days. This helmet is fairly light, and my wife loves the quick-release on the chin strap. I recommend ordering a clear or yellow drop-down visor, and just learn to live with the visor not dropping down far-enough It is still a very good helmet for the money,.
