ICON SUPER DUTY 4 BOOTS - JCJ   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Priced right , feel good, durable
    Cons: None

These boots are priced right, feel good, and, so far, appear to be durable. The cross strap keeps the laces tight and secured. I would consider further ICON purchases in the future.

Very Pleased - Charlie T   AZ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Fit and Comfort
    Cons: None

My old leather boots were never very comfortable for walking. I took a chance on these after reading the reviews. Glad I did. The fit is right to my size and they look good in black. Surprisingly they are very comfortable for walking. They feel good on my Yamaha FZ8 and nicely vented. I will have to add that the elastic on the tongue is strong and I had to used a shoe spoon to get them on. Once on, fantastic.

Icon boot review - Made my day   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: sturdy, good protection
    Cons: awkward at first

Love the boots, they look cool and they're definitely sturdy. I would definitely recommend them to another in a heartbeat. Sizing is standard. This may vary but for me, my normal size was fine. at first, the field armor boots are a little awkward, but that awkward feeling clears up pretty quick once you've worn em for about 4-5 hours riding. good buy in my book.

Nice boots, order a half size up - John K   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: break in easy, good quality, fast shipping
Cons: run a little small, order a half size up to be safe.

Boots run a half size small compared to normal, so I exchanged for a size up and they fit perfect now.. Compacc was great on the exchange and the boots arrived quickly.About the Boots... The el bajo boots are beefy and stiff. I had to adjust the shift lever and peg offset on my bike to get my toe comfortably under the shifter. No problem. Given their substantial stiffness and weight, they still wear comfortably with no chafing or blisters. The buckles on the side ensure a good comfortable fit. After a couple of days wearing them around they are starting to break in nicely and they don and doff easily with the zippered sides. I really like these boots. Not only do they look nice, but they are some serious safety gear. As an aside, I ordered the brown ones and was told by a coworker that they look like golf shoes.. REALLY?? I still love them, though. If looks mean nothing to you, get them for the protection. Great boot.

Great riding boot - Jeff   CO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Comfortable and stylish.
Cons: Little on the pricey side

These boots are very comfortable, and can be worn out after the ride, so you don't look like you just walked off the track. They are solid, good construction and not too heavy either. The toe fits nicely under the shifter, I have a Honda CBR 1000f. The only downfall is the price, but if you want a boot that looks as good off your bike, and it is functional on, then this is the one. I got the Brown set and they look good.

I work in an office where we generally wear business casual clothing. These boots are great because they don't have the large black boot look that a lot of motorcycle boots have.

Super Duty 4 - BBJR   AL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well made, good fit, excellent protection, comfortable
    Cons: none

The boots fit well. I wear a wide and these are regular but they aren't cramped at all. The leather is heavy so the boots are very stiff at first. I wore them around the house for a few days before riding in them and they broke in pretty quickly. The ankle and toe box protection is very good as is the arch support. I feel no arch pressure when standing on the pegs. Out of the box, the fasteners made the boots tighter than I liked. Once adjusted, the fasteners provide good security with no noticible pressure. The low cut of the boots keeps their stiff leather from irritating my achelles tendon sheath. I believe it also helps in their quick break in. I got the black boots and so far the shifter has not marred the toe. Well done, Icon.

Great Motorcycle Boots from Icon - Robert   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: good fit. comfortable, works good on pegs.
    Cons: [None]

Over all they are great products and I suspect to keep these for a long whileThe Icon Tarmac riding shoes are more like a toned down boot then a beefed up shoe. There not the lightest, breathable thing in the world but the absolutely get the job done. The Tarmac 2 are super low at the toes so shifting on a sport styled bike is no problem and they are build solid and sturdy. They could be a little more vented though. The vents on the side are fairly layered.

The Elsinore Boots are Very Nice - HD Hank   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: [None]
    Cons: [None]

Overall, I really like the boot, and I don't regret the purchase.I wear a size 14, so I was concerned that it wouldn't be big enough. I have to go up a size to 15 when I wear some swoosh branded products, but these felt pretty spot on size-wise. The buckles do allow some fine tuning around the ankles and calves, but I haven't had to mess with them. They're a great combination of style and function. I ride a v-strom, and I wanted something that would work on-road as well as for some light trail duty.Like others have mentioned, the insoles aren't that comfortable, and you may have to adjust your shift lever. I haven't bought a replacement insole yet, but I'd definitely consider it if I did more walking in them. Being a leather boot, there isn't a lot of airflow, but it's comparable to some waterproof touring boots.

Great looking and Comfortable - Flyboy4323   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Good looks and Comfort
    Cons: [None]

They're on my Softail everyday, but I've been able to comfortably ride a Triumph Bonneville SE and a Duc Monster that was a bit tight and could have used a shifter adjustment also, but not my bike. Good looking, good feeling, safe boot. This boot looks fantastic and has a host of rider protection. The fit was right on and the boot is comfortable enough to walk around in no marathons. It is very stiff, however, and will require some break-in time. Flex in the ankle area is okay I had to adjust my shifter to fit this boot comfortably without the feeling of 'fishing' for the peg for upshift. As the leather softens, I might be able to drop it back down a degree or two, though. Buckle adjustments are simple and the side zipper makes the boot super easy to get on or off once the adjustment is made. It's a warm boot not a bad thing in sub- three digit temp, but it can get a bit toasty over that though, what would one expect with zero venting. Only a couple of weeks in, but with a couple hundred miles with them they seem to be holding up well.

Almost Perfect, but still love them - Harley Man   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: comfortable, durable, great quality
    Cons: not waterproof

I fell in love with the looks of the Icon 1000 series boots...they are just incredible looking. I purchased the brown boots even though my pants and vest are black. I get compliments EVERYWHERE and not just from fellow riders. Everyone wants to know what they are and where to buy them.I was impressed with their durability and quality. For under 300 dollars these are incredible...if you tried to buy these in a store you could easily see them marked up to 500 because of their quality. My Harley is so low that my feet drag on some intense corners and these have met contact with the pavement a few times but the soles have held up well. The rubber grips give you good contact with slippery pavement which has saved my bike a few times on uneven stops.Even more impressive is their comfort. Without even breaking them in my normal boot size fit wonderfully well and didn't cause any pain or discomfort. I have not worn them longer than 5 hours at a time, but I have done grocery shopping in them and plenty of riding and they are just great, comfortable riding boots.I own a pair of the Rim fire Gloves from the Icon 1000 line, and they seem to trade protection for looks and comfort. These boots don't appear to sacrifice anything, and I do feel safer in them.

Best boots I've ever worn. I wear these everyday from school to work and the look is great. No one can even tell that your wearing boots. Great support and design. I feel alot better knowing that if I wreck that my feet and shin will be ok. A must buy.

Incredibly comfortable and easy to put on and buckle. CompAcc didn't have them in stock when I ordered them, but still had them delivered in 2 days with free shipping. Can't beat that! Comfy for walking around Daytona. A little bulky but surprisingly light. I haven't had the opportunity to test how waterproof they are, but I anticipate they'll be good in all but a "frog choker".

Icon Reign Waterproof Boots - Dr Bob   LA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Better than typical lining, great outers
Cons: They run tight, order wide and 12 size larger than normal

Icon rules, typically has great gear. Reign boots seem better made than some twice the price. Manufacturers must think bikers are ballerinas, a lot of gear is too small for an average man. A man of girth is often SOL. Credit to CompACC for fast phone service, and easy returns. Been dealing with them for years, had to send back mis-sized at least 4 times. Nobody's fault, a man of girth is hard to fit shopping online. Never had a problem with CompACC returns. Buy the best gear, clean it, oil it, care for it like it's your scrotum. Wear leather and gloves always. Sweat can be washed off, extensive road rash or amputated limbs are life changers.

Good boots with a couple of quirks - Ed   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Very comfortable, Buying from CompAcc is a plus.
Cons: Cloth eyelets for laces will break if not careful

I really liked these boots the first time I wore them. They are very comfortable and fit well. They lace easily and the latches fasten easily. They have a string clasp so that you do not have to tie the laces. This has to be carefully positioned to keep it from putting too much pressure on front of legankle, which is uncomfortable. However, I have learned to position it so that does not happen. The other issue with the boots is the eyelets at the top of the boot are cloth. I tore one of the eyelets when tightening it. I tried for a long time to get a warranty replacement, but Icon would never respond. However, a big plus was that CompAcc did take care of me and replaced the boots. I highly endorse CompAcc. They have been good to me

Performs well - Dave   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Waterproof, Fit, Comfortable to walk in
    Cons: straps constantly require re-adjustment.

Bought these to serve as my Adventure bike riding boots. I wanted a boot that was comfortable to walk in, waterproof, and not too pricey, and they do just as I hoped. They did not require a long break in period, and are quite comfortable. I drove through several hours of rain with them, and my feet stayed dry. The only downside that I have is that the straps need constant re-adjustment. The adjustment does not take long, but once you get the straps adjusted just right it would be nice if they retained that adjustment. I would recommend these boots to anyone wanting a good boot for Adventure riding, and also requires a boot that can be walked in once you arrive at your destination.

So far so good. - Spdracer   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Not too stiff. Zipper access. Weathered look
Cons: Not sure how the rough grain leather will wear over time.

I applied a lot of leather conditioner to these right off the bat which made them much darker. Hopefully they will be a little more stain resistant. They were just flexible enough to let me keep my feet on the pegs while shifting. It's a big change from the glorified sneakers I'd been wearing. They don't appear to be that well armored but they are a pretty solid leather boot. They will show signs of wear immediately. So expect them to gain a lot of character over time.

Good boots, hard to shift - Warren   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: great armor, lots of support
Cons: bulky hard to shift at first

Overall the boots are a good buy. I was just surprised that they were so stiff. It makes shifting on my busa hard. I have since gotten used to it, but just be advised.. Protection is excellent, sizing was good. I always error on the high size on sizing and that seemed to help avoid an exchange here. Good motorcycle boots.

Pretty good boots, sizing good - Ronald D   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: sizing good, ok overall.
    Cons: [None]

This is my first real pair of motorcycle boots. They fit true to sizeI'm a 9.5 and I did not have to change the shifter position on my triumph. They seem like great bootsHowever, compared to the others I tried on, these feel sturdier and they look awesome. I like being able to step into these once the straps are buckled appropriately. My only knocks are the lack of shin protection and the floating ankle protectors rub sometimes.

Great Boots - LT ADDICT   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Sturdy construction, good protection, looks good, good fit
Cons: Extremely stiff when new. Made in China.

I looked at these boots online for months, hoping they would go on sale. No luck, so I finally decided to just dive in and spend the 245.00. They fit well right out of the box, so the sizing is good. To say they are sturdy is a significant understatement. The reinforcement in the shin area is heavy duty. There is an elastic suspended, circular pad, that fits over the inside of the anklebone. Nice touch. The zippers are heavy duty and work smoothly. The strapbuckle adjustment is a bit stiff at first, but it is a secure system. I've worn them several times now and others have commented on the looks and asked where I bought them. Be aware that they are VERY stiff when you first put them on. I recommend wearing them, walking in them, squatting and working the ankles loose before your first ride. I had a heck of a time shifting my first time out. Lesson learnedOverall, I'm very happy with them. I only gave them 4 stars due to the initial heavy stiffness which I'm still working out, and the fact that they're made in China. I'll see how they wear over the coming seasons.

This review is for Icon Super Duty 4 Boots
These are some of the best boots I have worn, motorcycle or otherwise. The fit and finish is top notch. I like the fact that there are laces and a latch for a secure, snug fit. The ankle is not too high and the notches on the toes help making shifting a breeze. The brown and the tan look great, I have the brown, but after a few months, the shifter leaves black marks on the toe area. I am going to get the black pair to cut down on this problem. Other than that, this is the only boot that I ride with.

Oops - Charlie T   AZ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Excellent fit and comfortable
    Cons: Elastic tightener

I reviewed these shoes earlier with five stars. Since then the elastic broke right at the top on the left shoe. Because the elastic is one piece the fit relaxed. Now they are easier to get on and still comfortable for riding and walking. I decided not to pay for the shipping back so will keep them. A little disappointed though at this weak point.

three stars - tghgmc   AA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: durable, waterproof, nice look, Stout sole.
Cons: SMALL, tight at the instep, can't fully close the gusset seem on the medial side of boot.

These are well built boots and, true to advertised, are waterproof. The build quality is very good and the look is current. Out of the box these boots are STIFF with poor mobility but loosen eventually. Part of the problem with stiffness comes from sizing. Icon boots run small I have previously owned the Icon Tarmac also small, the Tour Master Solution WP true to size, TCX Air Tech GorTex true to size and the Sidi Canyon GorTex true to size. The Patrols rate in the 3 star range compared to some of these, especially against the Sidi's. Other than being small and stiff there is a gap in the medial side gusset waterproof built in sock even when fully closed and buckled down the outer leather will not meet. The length of the shoe is perfect for my feet it is the size at the instep that is the problem. I have the buckle straps loosened to the very last indent and they are still will not close. Getting a larger pair would make the shoe too long. Keep in mind that the lack of full closure does not affect waterproofing as the gusset is made for just this sort of exposure but it does detract from the look of the boot. I have never had a similar problem with any of the other boots I have owned. The soles are stout and stiff allowing extended time standing on the pegs in full comfort. The toe box is appropriately sized and allows for good mobility and quick shifting. Breathability is poor and really not suitable for summer riding in most of the lower 48 if you desire more or less dry feet. If not for the issues with fit I would rate these at four stars to me five stars is a flawless product with excellent durability. As I have never experienced similar fit problems in my size rage previously with other manufacturers and did have a similar problem with the Icon Tarmacs, I believe the designed is the issue and a 3 star rating is accurate.

Lace Loops BUST - Richard   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Tough boot leather wise
    Cons: Loop Laces BUST

I would not buy these due to the fact the loop laces bust and the boot is hardly worn. I warrantied these out from another online company but they busted again and now they won't warranty them for another pair. VERY poorly made in that respect. I commute daily and now have to figure out how to fix these so I can use them.

Supper duty - dave   Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: None
Cons: cheap , fall apart , no way to talk to icon direct about product issue

Icon Supper duty boots If you want to waist you cash buy them. The soles wear out fast. The soles started coming apart after 1000 miles or 1.4 months of use. Icon doesn't seem to care at all about warranty , they flob warrety off on the wholesale whom sells them to retailers. . This mean is you have any issue you can't just call them up like alpine star and get help. Icon just email you back saying we do not deal with that, talk to whom ever you got them from. At least with alpine star you can send back a boot they made 20 years ago and get it fix up. I ll never buy another icon product again.
