  • Goldwing GL1500 includes a 130/70-18 and a 160/80-16 Multi-Compount H-Rated Bias Tire for improved tire life.
  • Goldwing GL1800 includes a 130/70-18 and a 180/60-16 H-Rated Radial Tire

    Radial Tires:
These radial touring tires deliver great mileage and handling for all big radial-shod touring motorcycles. Wear resistance is substantially improved with more even wear characteristics providing increased mileage, plus great traction. The E3 tread pattern provides class-leading wet-pavement performance, even while riding through large puddles of standing water. Special tread pattern is not affected by rain grooves or steel bridge decks, resulting in less front-end hunting and more consistent feel. The E3's sport-derived profile provides a lively response in turn transitions and a solid feel through turns for confident cornering. Includes extra-wide and custom sizes 240/40R18, 250/40R18 with good looks and great handling and performance for custom motorcycles.

    Bias Tires:
Complete range of bias and belted-bias high-mileage premium touring tires to replace the 491 Elite II in like sizes with black sidewalls. The bias-ply Elite 3 features a tire profile modeled after the shape of modern radial-construction tires and shares many of the same benefits. The weight rating of the E3 rear tire for the Honda GL1500 is increased to 992 pounds for greater load carrying capacity. The high-mileage E3 bias and bias-belted tires suit a wide range of large-displacement touring motorcycles as well as a majority of the most popular cruiser bikes available.

    Features:
  • Improved performance and long life, the next generation of long-distance tires
  • New E3 tread pattern gives class-leading performance in the rain; handling is not affected by rain grooves, steel bridge decks or tar strips
  • Solid feel inspires more confidence in the corners
  • Blackwall
  • H-Rated: for speeds up to 130 m.p.h.
  • V-Rated: for speeds up to 149 m.p.h.

Dunlop E 3 SIMPLY THE BEST - James   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: The absolute best tire I've used on my goldwing
Cons: None that comes to mind

I have used any number of different tires on my 2004 Goldwing but have found the E3 to be the very best for longevity and all out performance. My first set was a bit of a disappointment but I installed a fork brace on the bike and that fixed the noise problem that occurred as the tire became worn. I have consistently gotten over 18000 miles on each set the top being 21000. I love that part as it cuts down on the number of tire changes. I love the performance of this tire along with the mileage, they make the wing feel and preform like a sports bike. I have ridden them in hot weather cold weather rain and even snow without any problems. I would recommend these to anyone that wants a long mileage performance tire. Good luck and happy riding

great tire - duneseven   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: long wear, smooth ride durable
Cons: can be a little noisy in the corners

I have about 15000 on my e3 tires they have been great tires, they can be a little loud in the corners, but a very good tire

Excellent Tires - Doug   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: smooth rolling, good grip
    Cons: none noted

Replaces the stock tires on my VTX1800R with a set of Elite 3 radials 3 years ago and loved them from day 1. good corner grip, excellent wet performance, I ran this set 16000 miles on both. The rear was worn out due to prolonged HOT road riding last year. Not the tires issue, was Mother Nature. will be replacing them with another set this month.

    ELITE 3 AND DYNA BEEDS
BEST ALL WEATHER TIRE I HAVE EVER HAD.
TOOK OFF ALL RIM WEIGHTS AND USED DYNA BEEDS
IN EACH TIRE. INCREASED MILAGE BY30.
NO PROBLEMS AS OF YET, AND AM AT THE 12000 MI. MARK.
THESE TIRES NEED TIRE PRESSURE CK. AND RUN AT MANUFACTURES PRESSURES.
I RIDE A O5 WING AND THESE ARE THE BEST.

Really glad I bought these tires, I got 9000 miles out of the factory tires and I'm sure they were bias plys. The E3's are radials and are a little creepy at first, but so far, they actually outperform the factory tires by a longshot. The price was about 30 or 40 bucks more expensive than welfare brands. I put over 300 miles on them today mostly on WV backroads.

I only ventured away from the Elite 3s once when replacing the factory D250s but I came back at the next opportunity. I can't say if the Elite 3s are the best because I haven't ridden them all but it is an excellent tire, especially for the Goldwing. I suppose we are forever wanting more mileage out of our rubber but my priority is performance in the twisties. These tires give me a lot of confidence when the sparks are flying and I'll take that any day to a hard compound designed for long wear on the super slab.

    NY Wingman
I recently Purchased a set of the Dunlop Elite 3s Front&Rear for my 2009 Goldwing after the D250s that came with the Bike wore out at 7000 Miles. I purchase these tires because I was going on a long trip and did not want to
encounter any tire problems with the D250s. They Performed as expected until the Rear Tire Blewout going down the Thruway at 70 MPH we were lucky the tire stayed in one piece until we were able to stop safely. I Replaced that
tire with another Elite 3. We did however notice that the elites
run alot hotter than the OEM tires ever did we will never know if that had anything to do with the blow out

    Wobble Time for GL1800
While I really like the way these tires held the road there were problems! At certain lower speeds the front end has a wobble. I have a 2005 GL1800 and I hear that this is common on many Gl1800s. I have just changed over to the Bridgestones and will see if they work better.
