Hey guys this is reuben with competition accessories. We are taking a look at the gmax gm 67. This helmet sells for 69.99 for a 3/4 shell helmet. This is a great bang for your buck .It has a thermoplastic alloy shell and is DOT approved. It has a lot of venting options on this helmet. There are two intake air vents in the front that operate on slider switches that make it easy to operate with gloves on. You also have exhaust vents in the rear and additional vents in the bottom. There are also static vents near the base of the helmet that assist with air ventalation. Basically when you ride warm air comes over top of the helmet and vents out the rear. It allows to keep your head cool during hot weather time riding. You can also close the vents during colder weather riding. One thing people also love about this helmet, it has an internal dropdown sun shield visor. The visor is tinted and has an anti-fog coating for riding in different kinds of conditions. For example, if you are riding during daytime use, you can have the shield in the downward position for better eye protection. During nighttime riding or riding through a tunnel, you can easily riase up the visor for better visibility. This helmet also comes equip with a visor peak, it allows for an open face feel for this helmet. If you find yourself on longer rides or different riding climates, you can lift the visor out of the way. If you choose to remove the visor peak, there are two small tabs located on the side of the helmet. It is difficult to see on camera, but are easy to locate on the helmet. On the video, once the visor peak is removed, the tabs on the sides of the helmet are easy to locate. This helmet also comes with a clear face shield. For installation, line up the tabs with the clear face shield on the sides of the helmet. Slide the tabs back into the forward position to lock the faceshield back into place. Make sure that both tabs are done on the same side to safely fasten the helmet into the correct position. No tools are required for this easy faceshield change. Now you have a 3/4 helmet with a full face shield. You can also use the dropdown internal sunvisor for additional coverage. If you look closely at the helmet, you will see there is a spot for an optional chin bar coverage. Just remove the two tabs on the chin bar and you will see the two chin bar slots. You can purchase the chin bar separately and install them in a matter of seconds. This will provide additional coverage if you so desire to have this option. Moving onto the interior of the helmet, Gmax lines this helmet with COOLMAX material. Coolmax material is a moisture wicking material that draws moisture away from the skin and keeps you comfortable for hot weather riding. The interior is also fully removable, which after extensive riding makes for easy washing. One nice feature about the cheek pads is that they do come installed with speaker pads for a communication ready helmet. I am go ahead and remvoing the rest of the liner to show you how the ventaliation works. Just a few snaps to remove out the crown liner. As you notice, they do offer a generous amount of mesh inside of the liner to work in conjuction with the ventalation system. Looking at the EPS liner, you will notice plenty of holes for the ventalatin system. This is to maximize the air flow in the helmet. This will provide a cool flow feeling on your neck and skin. Again this helmet is called the Gmax GM67 Open face helmet. well priced at under 70.00, this is a great helmet for the money. You can check these out on our website www.compacc.com. We will see you next time.

Pros: MAKES ME VERY VISIBLE Easy to install

This was a great addition to my GM54 helmet. It helps make me as visible as possible, and on a motorcycle, you can never be too visible

Brake light - Lettieehn   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: I love the brake light on my helmet it is so neat and works really good.
    Cons: None

The light lets people know I am stopping so they don't hit me on my bike.

Great Idea to Add a Brake Light - Matt B   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great Idea, Better Visibility, Works Great
    Cons: [None]

This is a great idea I feel safer knowing that I can be seen better at night and during the day. Only wish the light was brighter so it could be seen better during the day. Also wish just the light was sold separately. I have 2 GMax helmets and wanted both to have the light synced to the brakes but I didn't need a second brake light kit because you can sync 2 helmet lights to one brake light kit.

Great Feature - Roger   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Easy to install, low price
    Cons: [None]

This was a great upgrade to the basic light unit in my GM54 helmet....very easy install, just make sure you know what each of the 3 lines coming off your brake llight are ...tiny splice, attach the included wire crimps, I zip-tied it to a bracket under the seat of my 650r, entire install about 15 minute's. And it works.....Install the light unit into your helmet and now you are ready to ride, safetly at night People are impressed and it does catch that stray drivers eye As always FANTASTIC prices , fast shipping. Great addition for an already great idea

great accessory... - andermle   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Bright even in daylight, price
Cons: Install instructions could be better

Light does what it is supposed to do. Bright enough even in daylight, I have people ask about it and the Gmax54 helmet all the time. I thought it was a gimmick but took a bud's advise and got it when I purchased the helmet. Good advise. The first week I had it, we had fog every morning and I had a guy at a stoplight say every helmet should have a light like that. I think it is worth the money if it catches the attention of just one person who isn't paying full attention. It's a great addition to a great helmet.

Works great - Cmay   NM Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: It works
    Cons: instructions

The instructions leave a lot to be desired. The one thing that I found most useful was a test light so I knew which wires to clamp onto. It took about 30 min to install with some trial and error. For the price you cant really complain too much, right Overall I am pretty happy with it.

Gmax led brake light for GM64 - Max   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Like the way it looks with brakes
Cons: difficult to install not very good instructions

Bought the brake light kit to go in my GM54 helmet. I thought all I had to do was install the transmitter and I would be good to go using my existing helmet light. WRONG You have to remove the old light and install the light that comes with the kit. Took a little figuring out how to remove the old one and fishing the wires up to the power source. Also the splices are junk. I ended up striping the wire and soldering the connections. Much better. But all in all I still like this light. I do have to reset it every time it sits very long which is really not a problem and it probably saves the batteries. I would recommend it I only gave it three stars because of the splice connector and poor directions. The unit is fine otherwise.

Nifty device for the price - Steve   AR Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Not bright enough, installation may have you going to church to ask forgiveness

I have a love-hate relationship with this piece. First, don't bother reading the instructions. You'll have just as much success looking at the factory installed light and seeing how to remove it and install the identical looking replacement. It's straight forward enough. The problem is the two tiny screws that hold it in the helmet. You will need a jewelers screwdriver phillips. The screws are recessed with access thru very small openings. They come out easily enough, although getting them all the way out of the opening can be tough. That is your first clue that re-installing them will be a challenge. Getting the two screws thru the opening is not difficult. But then, they fall into a cavernous space that allows them to twist and turn in every direction but into the threaded holes. It will try your patience. One of mine went in on the second attempt. The other one fought me every step of the way. Stop. Have a cold drink. You'll feel like you need a beer, but alcohol won't help your dexterity. Then try again. It will eventually fall into the hole and you'll wonder why it didn't happen 45 minutes ago. Now, to the installation of the sending module. Where are the instructions Oh, there aren't any. Just enough to tell you which wire is ground and which one goes to the brake light wire. Now you're on your own. The unit is small and can mount almost anywhere on a big touring bike. That might not be the case on a sport bike. You need a small place within a few inches of a brake light wiring harness. Obviously, they don't know what kind of bike you are putting this on. So, they can't tell you where the harness is, what color of wire to look for, or anything else. You either need a wiring diagram of your bike, or a voltmeter and the knowledge to use it. Once you find the brake light wire and ground, splice into those wires with the included taps. Now where is the double sided tape or Velcro to secure the module. Once again, Oh, that's not included. You've got to be kidding me. A one inch square pice of double sided tape is not included OK, never mind, I'm sure I have some laying around here somewhere. Now it's installed. Let's try it. Hey, look at that. It really works. Just like the stock light, it only has two little LED's. Easily seen at night. In the daytime, not so much. But, it was less that 30 bucks, so it's probably with it.

helmet light - fiferg   Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: Like the concept and the added visiblity they would add
Cons: Can' get them to work with bike brakes

Followed instructions and tried the brakes and guess what no light on helmet, installation instructions really weak and provide no guide to help. I hat a lot of detail but no trouble shooting provided at all.
