Information and Details about the Givi Monokey E360 Cases
made by Givi
The design of the Givi Monokey E360 Case is a cross between E460 and the E52 Maxia. Despite the Monokey E360 being designed specifically as a side case, it can be efficiently used as a top case, Its max load level is 22 pounds, with a volumet capacity of 40L.

Taking much of its style traits from the E460 and E52 cases, this 40 liter matte black case is sold individually so it can be used as a top case or 2 can be purchased to use them on the side. Unable to hold a full face helmet, this case is ideal in satisfying the most demanding space requirements of the traveler during mid/long range trips. Sold separately, additional accessories are available including an inner bag allowing quick removal of your goods and a top case rack to provide more packing options.

Givi Cases - Terry Z   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Typical Givi quality and looks. Quick detach and easy latching. Spacious
Cons: Requires a different key for each case 3 keys wtop case

I purchased these for my daughter's CB900F. I had to custom rebuild the mounts for a GS650 to adapt these cases to the Honda, but the end result was everything she wanted. These cases are spacious and well made and on our recent road trip together, she just detached a bag and carried it into the room like a suitcase. We rode around the Olympic peninsula with the obligatory rain and the contents remained dry. Having to have a different key for each case is a pain in the ass and our locksmith said they could not re-key them.

Good Simple Durable Case - lgajohnymac   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Durable, Simple, Cheap, Easy Removal
Cons: Will not fit XXL full face helmet-

I really like these cases. In four years they have traveled about 50k miles on my versys, about 8k of that in dirttrail. I also use these on my strom. If you want hard luggage, and dont want to spend 1k on bags and racks, these are a good solution.

Good Case - Brian   CO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Seams to be a solid case.
Cons: Wish they had put reflective material behind the red lenses.

Overall the case seams good. I purchased the stop light kit and the back rest. Both were easy to install. Plan to buy another case for my other bike.

Hard case to beat - Wingrider   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Secure, easy to remove, looks good, plenty of storage capacity, brake lights
Cons: Had to rewire brake light switch, was loose

Was easy to install and looks a lot better than the box shaped cases. I added LED lights under the reflectors for running lights, giving added night visibility which was not difficult at all. The back rest option looks good but is not comfortable according to my wife and daughter in law. Will easily hold 1 modular helmet or you can fill it with your picnic lunch for that Sunday ride to no where. Shipping was fast as always and the price was the best I could find.

V47 top case - Saskatoonian   OR Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Quality made, looks good, fits 2 full face helmets, easy installation.
    Cons: 13 lbs Max. load

I did some home work and ordered just what I wanted which make the installation easy and looks good on my FJR.No drilling new hole. The aluminium receiver kit order separate was nice and easy to install and the bike still look with the top case off. Had to drill 2 holes for the back rest order separately, piece of cake. All said and done, it was a fair price.

Quality Product - George Ire.   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Big and Durable
    Cons: none

This box is brilliant. It holds everything I need to carry. Have done weekends away and there's plenty of room for all the gear. Durability is second to none. While riding along at about 60mph the 2 metal plates that support the givi plate for the box snapped. The box fell off the bike and tumble down the road with the plate still attached for about 30 yards.I replaced the 2 plates and bar a couple of scratches on the top of the box its in perfect working order, nothing broken. A great advertisement for a quality product

This review is for Givi Monokey 52 Liter Trekker Hard Case
Givi Monokey Trekker 52 Kiter - Mick   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Big box
    Cons: [None]

Well made. Sturdy product with no defects. It's simply a giant plastic box with thin layer of aluminum slapped on. Big enough for two medium helmets.

E52 Maxia - Karl   MA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Big
    Cons: Big sail area

I love this box so far. Still need to think to get my leg over without kicking it but can it ever swallow some stuff. Everything that fit in the side cases will now fit in the top case. 99.9 of the time the case is totally transparent back there. It does add a lever for the wind but is totally manageable and well worth the tradeoff in very gusty weather. Your stuff stays clean and dry...Will not be without one now. I am that happy with it. My sweetie likes the backrest.

givi E52 review - kev   MI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: aerodynamic enough
    Cons: none

product is exactly as advertised. the advertisers who wrote the product description did their job properly. refreshing. there still is honesty with some vendors. thanks CC for having this supplier.

Nice case - Givi E460 Top Case   NM Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Nice big case.
Cons: A little hard to latch sometimes.

I like this case--big enough for my purposes and seems to be well made I have some Givi sidecases and they've been good. Mounting was easy. I'd recommend buying this case.

Very nice - Chivvalry   PA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Huge... I mean really cavernous. Easy to mount, dismount, lock, etc
Cons: Got a little wind bobble at high speed with yammy touring shield on FJR

Bigger than I expected, great quality and cavernous inside. Easily fits my helmet along with a bunch of gear. I can feel it back there withe Yamaha touring shield full up own my FJR. Probably need a different shield as the stock is horrible and the touring shield only marginally better. Great top case. I might have gotten the 46 if I had known this thing was so big prior.

This review is for Givi Monokey E55 Maxia 3 Hard Cases
Maxia E55 - Ed in Gastonia   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Large, convenient, looks good
Cons: price is high and additional cost for the mounting plate

Got the trunk immediately but had to wait almost 3 weeks for the mounting plate. It mounted easily on my luggage rack with the Givi E250 universal mounting plate. Need a second set of hands to get those mounting nuts started, though. This is a first class unit although I could have spent half as much money with a Mono-lock unit. But it is nice and I don't regret spending the extra money.

Good and bad - Brian   CO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: This is a brake light only. Nicely designed kit.
Cons: Wish is had running, brake and turn.

Is a very nice kit. It is only for the top area of the V47 case. The lower lenses do not light up. I pulled the lower lenses and put reflective tape behind them. It is brake only, no running or turn. I wired in a BackOff wig wag brake light flasher and mounted it inside the case. Not the brightest LED's I have seen, but I would rather have more lights on the back of a bike, than less If I had a case I would purchase and install the kit.

bisonwings   KS Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: holds 2 full face helmets through XL, solid mounting plate.
Cons: Outragous pricing. latching mechinism is fiddly, lighting connections are a joke, plastic breaks easily

This is a good case even with what I have noted below. I would buy it again. It holds a lot of stuff. You can stop for dinner and load it with 2 full face helmets, 2 pair of gloves, 2 light jackets or one heavy jacket type of armor pads will restrict some jackets. a ladies purse and some additional small items I put the luggage rack on mine and this makes the case even more useful for those items too bulky to fit inside. I've had this top case since a year after they were introduced. The plastic mounting plate is deceptive. It looks weak. IT IS NOT WEAK. I was initially. so concerned that I fabricated a 6 gauge aluminum mounting plate for the case. since then II have grossly overloaded the box repeatedly for years with no sign of fatigue or failure. My fabricated Aluminum plate is still unused. Other parts of the system are not so well makedesigned. The way in which this Givi latch operate requires a stiff finger jab to the proper spot on the handle in order to release the lid latch. It works but is annoying. Also the plastic in other places is not so robust. trim, moldings and lighting sockets are of very thin material and break with little effort. So if you need to remove any of the trim be very careful. I understand that the lighting connection has been redesigned. The newer one is more reliable but still could be improved. I've gone to aftermarket lighting sources to get dependable power and better LED lighting for the case. They offer packages for the whole red reflector area to light up with break and turn signals and running lights. Just google 'Givi lighting' for additional options. The box says it holds only 20 or so pounds. I don't recommend loading more than that but I have carried 2-3 times more.
