Midsize Torrent Bag - kenack   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: waterproof & easily stapped down
    Cons: none

I was using a sealine waterproof bag but it didn't have any tie down points so I had to bungy it down and couldn't attach anything else, this bag solves those problems.

Finally - Zink   IN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Heavy duty
Cons: No intro or directions with product

It took a lifetime of motor cycle riding to finally find the best bag to keep things dry and secure. I recommend this bag for any biker. It is not junk or I would not recommend it.

Awesome - Sledge   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Waterproof, spacious, convenient, conforms to load and bike.
    Cons: none

I own all 3. I originally got the 70L for long trips, then the 25L for a gym bag, and now have the 40L to take back and forth to school and work with a large laptop. Has plenty of straps but all I use is a cargo net stretched over it. The only way something is getting wet in these is if you become a submarine. A little stiff in the cold 45 degrees and under so roll it up indoors if able. Plenty of D rings so I am sure you could secure one to the other with small bungees or the straps provided. I also have a locking cable that I put thru the rings for security if I go to someplace questionable and I don't want to lug the bag around. Awesome investment...start with the 40L and I am sure you will get all 3 eventually as I did.

Firstgear Dry Bag 70l - de   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: [None]
    Cons: [None]

Bought this to use on my Triumph Scrambler on a trip last week to Vintage Motorcycle Days in Mid OI-77Ihio. Ran through several showers on the way up. Not a drop leaked in. On the way home to Charlotte, ran into several hours of a Frogstrangler on I-77 in Ohio and West Virginia. It kept my clothes dry as a bone. It truly is a DRY bag. The straps included worked well to secure it on my Scrambler.

good bag - cliff   CO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: waterproof
    Cons: none

the bag does what it says it's waterproof. it packs easily and during a rainstorm, it proved fine to the task. everything was dry inside. the multiple D rings gives you several options on attaching it securely to your bike....and then with rak straps not sure on name you have a great combo. travel with no worries. it was worth the price imo.

Love It - Sledge   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Colapses to the size you need, versatile tie downs, well engineered
    Cons: getting into it, but...its w a t e r p r o o f

I got the 70L as a gift and liked it so much, I got the 25L for short commutes to and from schoolwork. Roll top design is awesome and with little a little practice its sure to keep everything you put in it and hit the road with, dry unless you plan to be a submarine. I have had both bags thru down pours with my laptop and clothing inside with zero issues. I prefer to use bungee cords to the straps supplied but, to each his own. Very satisfied with these bags.

Good Bag - Leroy   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: appears rain proof, many options to tie it down
Cons: I would like different straps to tie it down some with a release, just handier

It seems to be made very well. I feel certain it is rain proof as it is constructed similar to my Ortlieb which have proven to be durable and very rain proof. Several tie down options and it comes with tie down straps. I wish the straps were the type that snug up but have a release in the center for quick detach. Oh well I have some of those I can use.

Just My Opinion - Steve   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: small and doesn't interfere, good eccess to both compartments, just the right size for your electronics and face sheid cleaner stuff, plastic window on top bag works with touch screen devices.
Cons: Velcro on strap for top bag isn't large enough to tighten top bag tight enough. Cell PH zipper opens on the bottom RT side, must be careful the PH doesn't fall out on the ground. The plastic on the PH a little thick not quite loose or flexable enough to adj. Vol on side of phone

Overall a well built bag. I use it for my entertainment center. Music from cell phone to Boosteroo Amp to headphones. I also have a USB 9hr. backup battery in lower case plugged into the cell phone to keep it charged to 100 while riding. But for now I have to run all cables out the zippered entrances as they cover the supplied entrance for cables with the bottom bag cover hinge strap. See fix below Plenty big to keep several small essentials that you need on the road. Cigs, glasses, faceshield spray & micro cloth, spare AAA bateries, etc.Gives you all the mounting options, even suction cups for the dirtsport riders with composite material type tanks . I use the magnet option and it stays put in the center of the FJ-09 Yamies tank. Removes easily for gas stops and stays out of the way if you choose to fill-up while sitting on the bike. Another 'Con' Electronics cable entrance hole is covered up by the hinge strap for the bottom bag. Easy fix, just cut a hole in the strap and heat the cut edges with soldering iron to keep it from fraying.Good bag. I reccomend it all First Gear stuff and Competition Accessories for their service. As far as my Cons listed. Most equipmentJackets etc. come this way.

Firstgear Torrent Waterproof Duffel bag.70L - Wayne - Mims FL   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fits nicely on the First Run 2008 Victory Vision in Sport mode. The back seat and passenger handle work well with this bag.
    Cons: None yet

Nice bag and well made. Can hold a bunch of gear. Bottom D rings make it easy to attach with two bungee cords. My trip is planned in October but I couldn't pass up this great deal. I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars only because I have yet to test it. I did pack it up with clothes on this past weekend and I could put a weeks worth in side and still have room. Waterproof helps in FL and on most trips anywhere else. I am going to add a sheet of 14 inch plywood on the inside as a base. This will give me the area under the bag as my place to store my rain suit on the rear seat and not have to open anything when I need the rain suit.

70 liter & 25 liter - First Gear Torrent Waterproof Duffel   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: well made with mounting D rings and mounting straps
Cons: once it is mounted you cannot quickly get into the bag

I bought the 70 liter for a trip to the Copper Canyon in Mexico, was way too big, ordered the 25 liter bag, much better size, still had extra room. It made it through 14 days of some very tough dirt riding and river crossings. It will go back to the canyon again next year. I have not figured out how I will use the big bag, maybe a gear bag or general purpose travel bag.

First Gear Laguna Mini GPS tank bag - danbury wildman   NE Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: gps holder, multiple mounting system, price
    Cons: smaller than expected

I like the mounting system because I don't have a metal tank for magnets. The suction cups and straps work fine. Does have magnet mounting system with it also. has nic little holder for cap, cell phone, wallet etc. My 5 inch gps barely fits in pop up holder. 4.5 inch would be better but already had a 5 inch.

Dry bag for Adventure Riding - Bag is right for the Price   TX Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: Price and Strapping features
Cons: Overall Light weight feel for the Bag Materials

I ordered this for a 15 day upcoming ride from TEXAS to Canada and then in for off-riding riding and Camping needs. I got this bag because all my past experience with First Gear has been positive. It was purchased to compliment my CABELO's Dry Bag for lengthy Dual Sport trips. The feel and overall thickness of the CABELO's bag is about double that of this bag. Since I haven't used this bag yet, I still wanted to give it 3 stars. Who knows, this stuff might be made a Kevlar and wear just as good as my other bag or as good as an ORTLEIB bag. Only time will tell. For just light weight uses, this is going to have excellent Price Value.

First gear torrent duffel bag - Scott   MA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Waterproof,easy to mount
    Cons: [None]

On first inspection of the bag everything looked okay but as I looked at the seams on the inside of the bag some of them were not properly sealed, I contacted competition accessories they asked to take photos and send them to them which I did and they passed them onto the firstgear rep in the rep got back to them later that day and said just To send it back and to send out a new one it was that easy not a big hassle at all like some places

tankbag - Oldman226   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: It has plenty of room for what I was wanting. It has several side pockets that are large enough to put items in for immediate use.
Cons: The strap connectors are not removable if you don't want to use them.

I have not used it on a trip yet to evaluate the GPS holder. It has ample room for what I needed. It is not as large as I thought it was.

Mini GPS - BN Sport   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Small and holds a 4.3 GPS
    Cons: Small

I bought this bag to hold my Garmin Nuvi 765T on my FZ1 tank. problem is that it positions the GPS very close to my body and to see it I have to look down taking my eyes off the road. This is due too the front of the tank is the plastic hold down and non-magnetic. The Traffic receiver doesn't fit through the cord inlet. The magnets although not very strong do hold the bag on the tank. Firstgear recommends using both the magnets and straps but that involves fishing the front strap around the steering head and tank and somehow attaching the rear strap to the area under the seat. There isn't much room in the storage compartment for more than a wallet, cell phone, pen and maybe a small camera. No gloves or anything else will fit.I didn't try the fanny pack option but it looks like it would work with a little effort to remove the base.

Good - Could Be Better - VanHarlan   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Large capacity - Well thought out design -
Cons: Rain Cover is Horrible - Limited Adjustable GPS Pocket

I really wanted a GPS compatible tank bag to limit the number of places I was mounting and stashing electronics on my bikes. I have more than one bike that I tour with and needed something that was flexible enough to move between the two. I've always loved my FirstGear jackets, and pants, and their reputation for quality. I bought the larger sized FirstGear Laguna GPS Tank Bag. The pockets and wiring access are well thought & laid out. The bag is big, but not bulky. The ability to zip it off the bike and carry it with all your electronics inside as a back pack is invaluable. Two downfalls are that the GPS pocket has a very limited range of adjustability for viewing and the glare off the clear vinyl cover make it impossible to see at times - not a huge deal as I rely more heavily on the audio directions. this last week I was caught in 3 days of rain . . . the built in rain cover is a great idea . . . and would be better if the cover were about 3 sizes bigger than it need to be . . . it is so big that no matter how tight you cinch it down air still gets in under it and blows it up like a balloon . . so much so I had a hard time seeing all my dash gauges . . . it's ridiculous and renders the whole GPS idea almost useless even thought the rain cover has a clear to for visibility.I now wish I had gone with Cortech's Dryver Tank Bag System . . . . the FirstGear Laguna is good but could be great with a few adjustments - make the gps holder more adjustable for viewing and properly size the rain cover.

Laguna mini gps - Dave in Chcago   IL Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: small
Cons: holds the gps at a bad angle, smal

I was hoping for an easy solution to holding and using my GPS or smartphone. I can't use either with this bag. It is to be attached by both magnets and straps which defeated my intentions. The capacity is small but usable for keys, change and glasses case. Not a very good bang for the buck. Very disappointed.
