Information and Details about the Dunlop Qualifier Motorcycle Tires - Z-Rated - Package Special
made by Dunlop

These are sold out. You should buy the new Dunlop Q2 Tires. They are a new Dual Compound and much better than these original Qualifiers

  • Successor to the top-selling D208ZR sport radial, the Qualifier offers true race track-level grip and performance
  • Rear tire compound blends three race-developed polymers to maximize grip and warm-up quickly in the wet or the dry.
  • Race-derived front tire profile promotes quicker turn-in and lighter steering while also contributing to a larger footprint at maximum lean angles.
  • Advanced belt design and JLB tire construction reduce unsprung weight for quicker acceleration and enhanced steering characteristics.
  • Next-generation cosecant-curve tread pattern allows the driving and braking forces to remain aligned properly under cornering conditions.
  • The stickier Qualifier heats up faster yet carries no more carcass heat than the D208ZR to promote equivalent tread life while delivering a significantly higher level of performance.
  • Overall traction was excellent, at all lean angles. This tire felt like it was putting down a big footprint, and feedback was superb, communicating what was happening at the contact patch at all times. Awesome, predictable traction with great stability. The Qualifiers scored the highest average marks in all categories, and the highest SR Rating in the test
from Sport Rider Street Tire Test

sticky - Ride4ever   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Handles great, very sticky in all conditions.
    Cons: Seemingly short lifespan.

I've run these on my RoadKing and SuperGlide for about 15 years and love the handling, grip and confident feeling. I also ride a dual sport 650, so I can get a little crazy once in a while, but feel very secure on these Dunlops.

Just Great - Busa Dude   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: It last for EVER A mazing grip in good, bad and ugly weather. Superb handling.
    Cons: EXPENSIVE Really difficult instalation.

I have had Road Smarts on my motorcycles since 2005. I am 300 lbs. and do ride very heavy bikes all year arround, wet or dry above 35 degrees. ZZR1200, Zx14, Hayabusa ect... . Not to mention my liking for back roads and turns at high speeds in warm weather. This has to be the most confidence giving tires I've had ridden on in 26 years of expirience. I'd just changed my rear tire at 11,000 miles and front tire still looks new. The only bad thing I have to say about it is, this are very difficult to install on the rim and they are not cheap. Road Smart were great. Road Smart 2 are awesome

Excellent Tires - Doug   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: smooth rolling, good grip
    Cons: none noted

Replaces the stock tires on my VTX1800R with a set of Elite 3 radials 3 years ago and loved them from day 1. good corner grip, excellent wet performance, I ran this set 16000 miles on both. The rear was worn out due to prolonged HOT road riding last year. Not the tires issue, was Mother Nature. will be replacing them with another set this month.

Really glad I bought these tires, I got 9000 miles out of the factory tires and I'm sure they were bias plys. The E3's are radials and are a little creepy at first, but so far, they actually outperform the factory tires by a longshot. The price was about 30 or 40 bucks more expensive than welfare brands. I put over 300 miles on them today mostly on WV backroads.

I only ventured away from the Elite 3s once when replacing the factory D250s but I came back at the next opportunity. I can't say if the Elite 3s are the best because I haven't ridden them all but it is an excellent tire, especially for the Goldwing. I suppose we are forever wanting more mileage out of our rubber but my priority is performance in the twisties. These tires give me a lot of confidence when the sparks are flying and I'll take that any day to a hard compound designed for long wear on the super slab.

    NY Wingman
I recently Purchased a set of the Dunlop Elite 3s Front&Rear for my 2009 Goldwing after the D250s that came with the Bike wore out at 7000 Miles. I purchase these tires because I was going on a long trip and did not want to
encounter any tire problems with the D250s. They Performed as expected until the Rear Tire Blewout going down the Thruway at 70 MPH we were lucky the tire stayed in one piece until we were able to stop safely. I Replaced that
tire with another Elite 3. We did however notice that the elites
run alot hotter than the OEM tires ever did we will never know if that had anything to do with the blow out

Tires handle great when road is dry but in the rain feel very loose and tires tend to slide out. Not a great fan of these on my 2010 Goldwing.

    Wobble Time for GL1800
While I really like the way these tires held the road there were problems! At certain lower speeds the front end has a wobble. I have a 2005 GL1800 and I hear that this is common on many Gl1800s. I have just changed over to the Bridgestones and will see if they work better.
