Information and Details about the Cortech Micro Tank Bag
made by Cortech
The Cortech Dryver Micro Tank Bag may be one of the smallest tank bags on the market, but don't let that fool you, the Dryver Micro Tank Bag is still very handy. A lot of tank bags are big and bulky, interfering with your riding position or your view of the gauges. Someone who is just looking for a convenient place to stash their wallet, phone, iPod and camera doesn't need a full on touring bag. The Dryver Micro Tank bag is the perfect bag for quick in town trips, commuting, or even for longer trips if you simply prefer the smaller bag up front.

  • Convenient, low profile tank bag that easily carries small essential items.
  • 1680 denier ballistic nylon outer shell.
  • Rubberized base helps to protect contact areas.
  • Capable of mounting with straps, magnets or a combination of both (mounting systems included).
  • Easy access main storage compartment and clear window media pocket.
  • 600 denier Carbolex interior lining.
  • 10"L x 5.5"W x 1.5"H

Drawn to the magnet - Kelven   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Roomy and stable
Cons: Map pocket but it works fine

I had read about magnetic bags posing a risk to a bikes finish, but after riding through some rather exciting weather over the course of 3600 miles, the tank finish looks like new--and the bag performed flawlessly.I purchased this bag along with the expandable tailbag and both work brilliantly. The fit and lines of both items accented the lines of my bike and there were zero problems when traveling at speed, The rain covers did their job when the weather turned, so everything stayed dry during heavy rain. The zipper pull pockets are a great design touch. The bags still look like new, and suspect they will maintain their clean look even after many more miles. The map pocket is smaller than what is on an older Eclipse bag I purchased about 25 years ago, but completely functional.I shopped around before deciding on the Cortech Super 2.0 bags and remain more than pleased with their performance and aesthetics.

Perfect fit. Expandable excellence. - Kelven   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Well compartmentalized.
    Cons: Custom straps required easy

Purchased this bag along the larger, magnetic tank bag for a 3600 mile journey and they worked brilliantly. The fit and lines of both items accented the lines of my bike and there were zero problems when traveling at speed, The rain covers did their job when the weather turned, so everything stayed dry during heavy rain. It's unfortunate I cannot submit a photo of the straps I made to mount the tailbag. The stock mounting system remains the only drawback, however I cannot imagine one system working on all bikes. The zipper pull pockets are a great design touch.

Great bag, nice fit - newtball   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Customizable install, good price, expandable sides are nice
Cons: Straps may need to be adjusted per bike

I experimented with mounting the 24 L bag to my 2004 FZ1, and rigged it so the straps are attached under the seat when seat is removed. So when the seat is taken off, the bag goes with the seat, only needing to unclip the rear connectors that I wrapped around the passenger grab rails. It is very sturdy this way for me I took it completely jam packed loaded on 600 mile one day trip. Had my clothes for a few days in there, a laptop, and even an extra pair of shoes... Didn't notice any turbulence at 90 mph cruising speeds, as it is mostly behind you. Strap connectors can stay on the bike, as they are under the seat and bag can be unclipped when arriving at destination. I agree with some of the reviews that the strap system as designed could be problematic for some sport bikes with small seats. It worked out great for me, and so far about one year on the bike has performed well.

Love it on '14 Ninja 650R - DDC   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Expandable, low profile
    Cons: [None]

Got my 24L version as a gift and love it It expands for more room by unzipping the side panels. There's enough pockets and I did have to use my enclosed rain cover for the tail bag. Once secured it's easy to unbuckle the bag. The bag has a nice protective pad on the bottom and the straps have protective material so your paint won't rub off. . . .just secure properly. I like how you can adjust the straps. Nice low profile and nice design.

Cortech tank bag - jr   AL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: good materials, flawless assembly. does not interfere with steering
    Cons: none so far

The super 2.0 18 liter tank bag is typical Cortech quality and design. The magnetic mounts work really well on my bike and I haven't needed the security strap. The interior is nicely padded and lined and has plenty of room. The built in backpack straps are good for parking and hiking. So far the bag has met all of my needs perfectly and it seems rugged enough to keep meeting them for a long time to come.

Cortech delivers - Uncle Dave   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well constructed, great value at a great price, great features
    Cons: None

I bought the Cortech Super 2.0 Tailbag as a replacement for a Cortech bag I used for the past 10 years. I use the tailbag as a tankbag. The built in straps attach to custom straps I previously createdinstalled and the bag is a perfect fit. I'm a daily commuter and carry full raingear and work-related stuff with room to spare. I really appreciate the attention to detail like the zipper pockets and integrated protective pad. Well done, Cortech

Great Tank Bag - Ghostrider55   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Size, Attachment ease
    Cons: [None]

I mounted this 12-liter tank bag on my BMW R1100RT. It is a perfect accompaniment to the saddlebags for those numerous small items that I so frequently need to access, but don't want to root around in a tour bag for. Great to stash a hat, extra gloves, drink bottle, batteries, camera, phone and even a Whataburger to go I love that I can unclip it from the tank mount, deploy the backstraps, and voilla, I have a handy back-pack for when I get to a park, restaurant, or tourist attraction. Mounting took all of about 3 minutes, and it's still easy to get to the tank to fill up. All in all - one of the best thought out tank bags around.

Perfect Fit - RavenThree   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fits on smaller passenger seat without intruding too much into drivers seat area.
Cons: Does not retain fully rounded top shape as shown in pictures.

Overall great tail bag. Works as advertised and very well made and designed. Provides great storage space. Overall the bag retains its shape when empty, however, the top does sag a little inward if there is nothing holding it up from the inside. So it is still pliable and not as rigid as it appears in the photos. I am using it on a Ducati Dieval Strada.

Pros: Zipper garages plenty of dedicated storage pockets, etc.
Cons: Magnets do not seem overly strong.

Very well built tankbag. I like the included shield wrap, and the backpack straps. I like the little storage areas for the zipper pulls, so that they don't rattle around.

The bags are well designed. I like the options of variouse ways of attaching the bags to your motorcycle. The way they can expand if needed. The over all look and design of the bags them selfs . Note there is a hidden pocket inside that is closed by velco you can put your papers reg.and insurance And I like the fact they give you extra pieces that can protect your paint on your bike from rubbing.

Great bag Looks good and seems to be well built. The 18L is about as big as I would go on my 2012 ZX-14R but fits just right I have only got to ride abouta 100 miles with it on so far and have not expanded the bag toits full capacity yet but it holds quite a bit of stuff as is.

Great everyday storage - Brian F.   WI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well Constructed, easy onoff, grab handle w shoulder strap, looks
    Cons: Lack of security

This bag is on my Honda CBR250R. I have had the bag for a little over a month. The material is top quality construction. The zippers feel heavy and durable. I would not be surprised if this bag lived through a crash just saying. The storage volume is exactly what I was looking for. Enough room for a run to the store or an overnight trip. I fit a six-pack of 16oz Coors cans, a 1 pint bottle of Guiness, and a 12 oz bottle of V8 in the bag wo expanding the sides and there was still room to stuff some other things in there like some gloves. The organizer pocket is great for keeping penpaper on you and leaves me a place to hold my insurance, registration, and small toolkit. The only downside I can see is a lack of security. Nothing attaches the bag to your bike except for the plastic quick clips. It takes seconds to take the bag off the bike, but it does have a nice handle and also comes with a shoulder strap should you feel uncomfortable leaving it somewhere. This bag looks way better than a lot of the other options out there, fits on my bike with no hassle, and has all the storage I need. For the price, I don't think you'll find much better.

Cons: Mapdirection pocket a bit tight

Not my first tank bag, but my first Cortech. Big quality improvement over what I had. Lots of room, plus expansion is great, and organized. I had to include one minor item, the mapdirection pocket is a little tight for slipping paper inout, requires some folding to size of the item to view properly. This bag looks great also.

Pros: Good amounts of storage, sleek in appearance

PackRat's Delight - Brillot2000   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Expandable side pouches to increase volume, high contrast lining, separable pad that can be mounted to the bike, extra integrated mounting straps, padded external mounting straps.
Cons: Flimsy extended side pouches, external mounting straps too long for most applications, location of the snap latches, detached rain cover.

An experienced rider knows that you need to be prepared for any situation that you might encounter while out on the road. This holds especially true when it comes your riding gear. The Cortech Super 2.0 Tailbag 24 Liter is the perfect tailbag for the Serious Rider. There's plenty of room in the main compartment without expanding the pouches for essentials such as set of both cold and warm weather gloves, balaclave, neck warmer, windbreaker, ratcheting ties downs, and sunglasses just to name a few items. There's plenty of more room for other reasonably sized items before you have to think about extending the side pouches The side pockets are great for things like bungee cords, share set of riding glasses, or etc... The lid cover has some storage for your riding knickknacks, phone charger with cables, earbuds, important documents and etc...Padded mounting straps and base pad are included, which can be mounted to the bike the that you use the most. This also have auxiliary integrated mounting strips that you can use on a second bike. They slip into integrated storage pockets sewn onto the bottom the bag when they are not needed. A fitted rain cover come with this bag, however it is not tethered cannot be easily left behind or lost if it is not returned to its dedicated storage pocket at the back of the bag. The lining of bag is high contrast, making it easy to locate smaller items that were placed in there previously. It also comes with a separate adjustable shoulder strap to continue with the configuration options.Overall the Cortech Super 2.0 Tailbag of the 24 Liter variety is quite versatile and easily configurable to meet the demands of the most needy rider, whatever they may throw at it.

Mounted on my V-strom 650 - Hecthereject   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good quality and construction, rain covers
    Cons: Mounting straps

Because of the high muffler position on the Veer and the location of the passenger grab handles I had a little difficulty finding a good mounting location. I also have the Super 2.0 tail bag. Having a few longer straps with make buckles on both ends would have given some added flexibility on mounting location for the tail bag. I didn't like having to loop two straps together.

Almost as good - Cortech Super 2.0 Tailbags   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Great quality, better padding
    Cons: smaller side pockets

I bought this one to replace the older version. It's a pretty much the same and a little better in some areas. The tie down straps are sturdier than the old bungies but do take a little longer to adjust and probably should be left on the bike after adjusting. The main storage compartment is the same size as the older version and seems sturdier too. It expands without sagging by means of fold down stiffeners. The one area that I didn't like is that the side pockets are smaller than the previous model and I can't fit the same stuff that I did before, so now that stuff goes into the main compartment. Overall it's a great bag and really sturdy without it being a hard case.

Great bag..But - Andy   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great bag for certain bikes, well made , plenty of room
Cons: will only fit a select number of bikes, badly designed mounting harness

Bought this as my nelson rigg 8L was just too small for longer rides, always likedpreferred cortech products but magnetic bag and the harness bag just don't fit the triumph tiger so be careful and make sure it will fit before buying . The harness was just awful , no cut out for the gas cap and no way that it could fit on tank , that's why only 4 stars. Got to thank comp acc for putting up with the phone calls and the no restocking fees .

Great Tank Bag - JimElizabeth   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Perfect size comfortable shape well made with strong materials.
Cons: Inserting map into window--bad construction Needs some type of locking mechanism.

We were traveling for about 10 days on our FJR 1300 and this bag was everything we needed. They make a bigger bag but my husband thought bigger would be too cumbersome. Our major complaint is the map window was constructed with the small end being the insertion end and it was VERY difficult to insert the map and then try to get it spread out once inside. The only other situation was locking it onto the bike when parked and we didn't want to carry it. All in all it is a good tank bag, and had plenty of room to hold items we wanted to keep handy

Quality and but not easy - drbayer   WI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Good build quality, sturdy, good size capacity, stylish
Cons: NOT quick to take offput on completely, not good instructions

This product is great but it has one flaw the ease of use. If the product was simpler to put on and take off I would absolutely love it. The instructionscortech innstructions for bag are bad also, the good instructions for the bag are on the competition accessories review video of the bag, I would have had no idea on how to attach the bag without the help of compacc, there review is actually how I found out about the bag. Overall, if you don't plan on taking the bag off alot or will be going on a long trip I would highly recommend this bag. However, if you plan on taking it off once a day just stick witha backpack.

This review is for Cortech - Dryver Tank Bag Mounting Ring Set
Dissapointed - McRuss   Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: Secure mounting, protects tank
Cons: Bag cannot be moved from one bike to another without replacing the mount on the bag

I thought that I would be able to get a separate mount for my 2004 DL650 and move the bag quickly from my FJR to my Wee. Doesn't work that way and they don't tell you that. Not only is the mounting bracket on the tank a different bolt pattern makes sense but the mounting patter is different as well and they do not interchange. That means that to move the bag from one bike to the other means removing the bracket from the bag and replacing it with that for the other mount. On top of that, the bracket on the FJR broke after using the bag for only three weeks on two different trips. It is also difficult to line up the mount each time you remove it for gas or to take into the motel. I'm sorry I didn't go with a different mfg.

    Pros: Good looking, spacious.
Cons: Possible weak strap stitching , Few pockets.

Sharp looking bag that will look good on just about anything. I have it on my vstrom. I tore one of the tie down straps while anchoring it which was a bummer. Wish it had some more pockets and compartments. It has the main compartment which is pretty spacious, and a few 23 small in the flip back cover.

Cortech Super 2 Saddlebags - Predatormv   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Farily easy to install, holds good amount of stuff, expandable, lightly water resistant with out rain covers, looks good
Cons: Still rubs paint even with anti-rub pads

I have had these bags now for a little over a month and use them on a daily basis. So far I am really liking them. They hold plenty of gear for my daily commute. In one non-expanded bag I fit my entire rain suit pants, jacket, gloves, boot covers and in the other I can fit what ever else I need to take that day. Like a full set of gym clothes shoes, clothes, water bottles etc or cold weather clothes. The ability to expand the bags has also come in handy a number of times. Expanded I was able to even bring home left overs without problems. They are pretty easy to install if you take a minute to think it out before you jump into it. On my Yamaha FZ8 they don't sit straight up and down because the back of the bike is so angled, they angle in a bit so they look a bit funky but still function just fine. Also the bags will keep what is inside them dry in light rain. On a couple of occasions I have not put the rain covers on when I went to work only to find out hours later that it rained and opened the bags to find everything inside still dry. I wouldn't suggest leaving them out in a heavy downpour or anything but again light rain you might by ok. My biggest grip is they have anti-rub or scuff pads on the insides of them that are supposed to protect your painted surfaces...yea they don't do a damn thing. I have noticed that when I take them off from time to time there are small scuff marks in my paint, and they don't appear to buff out, so it looks like they are scratches. This kinda pisses me off since my bike looked brand new prior to these bags. I can't really complain about the fit on my bike since that isn't really the bag's fault since my bike isn't flat at the back at all. They still hold everything I need and stay put just fine.

Cons: To small, for me bad mounting system

The bag is smaller than I thought. You can only fit in the bare essentials. I thought the strap type would be a winner. For me it's not. My gas tank is very large. It's impossible to mount the bag over the filler cap. I tried making my own modification to no avail. I'm sorry I bought this size bag with this type of mounting system.

Cortech Super 2.0 Tailbags - ELI   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: The BAG is great
Cons: The straps are absolutely ridiculous and do not work for any bike

The bag is great and has plenty of room. The Cons is the strap system with this bag. You would think it would have a strap that would go directly under the bike and clip to either side, however it has a strap with one male end and then a loop to tie to the bike. Why wouldn't it just have a strap that goes under the bike and has a male end on either side of the strap to clip in. It doesn't, so I had to go and buy my own new nylon cord and cut the clips off since there are extra ones and make my own strap with male ends on either side then it worked great. Horrible strap system but if you can make your own it will work on your bike.
