Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S20 Front Tire
The S20 incorporates the innovative technologies developed for MotoGP tires, is one of Bridgestone's sport radial premium brand products
Using new patterns and new compounds, in the S20 Bridgestone offers durability and long wear life while improving grip performance at both high temperatures and low temperatures, such as immediately after start and in wet conditions
By optimizing the tire structure in the S20, Bridgestone is able to increase the running contact pressure and contact surface and focus on high performance in dry conditions and stable handling
The BATTLAX series is Bridgestone's premium brand of on-road motorcycle tires. The top of the line of the BATTLAX tires are the MotoGP class tires used in the FIM (Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme) road race series, for which Bridgestone is the official tire supplier. Bridgestone offers a wide range of BATTLAX tires, from touring to racing and from small motorcycles to large motorcycles.
Principal technologies and product features
New Pattern: Through the optimization of groove positioning and the use of wide grooves, the tire offers both comfortable handling and improved grip performance in dry and wet conditions
New Compound: Continued use of NanoPro-Tech
RC Polymer (for motorcycle tires). All aspects of compound composition were reevaluated, and as a result Bridgestone was able to maintain long wear life while achieving high grip performance in a wide range of temperature conditions, from high to low
FULL SPEC TECHNOLOGY
3LC 3 Layer Compound provides grip performance demanded in every aspect and all riding modes. The center compound offers linear handling.
The shoulder compound secures high grip and solid contact feeling
Mono-spiral construction means that a continuous single strand of cord is wrapped around the circumference and serves as a belt of a tire. This one-piece construction eliminates overlapping of belts, seams, and joints. A Mono-Spiral Belt tire is lighter than conventional multi cross belt construction, has more stability since it minimizes heat generation inside the tire, and gives high shock absorption
HTSPC High Tensile Super Penetrated Cord Bridgestone is the first manufacturer to adapt 1X5 filament, rubber insulated steel MSB to Motorcycles radial tires. The new technology gives following advantages to motorcycle tire; allows more flexibility than other types of the steel used by competitors, reduces heat generation, and provides stability without deteriorating shock absorption. Patent pending
Silica Rich Increasing Silica composition ratio than Silica Rich to provide solid wet performance. And conbining with RC polymer to realize long wear life
RC Polymer Polymer and Silica are not harmonized well originally, which are effective for wear life and wet respectively. In order to maximize each performance, RC Polymer is developed by adoption of Bridgestone's key technology of tire material, “NanoPro-Tech”
NanoPro-Tech is the name of a technology that facilities the realization of the required features in a tire by controlling the material microstructure through structural design at the molecular level. It is one of Bridgestone's fundamental technologies

This review is for Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S20 Radial Tires - Rear
great tire - Joe AZ
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: warms up quick, grip is great great, very confidence inspiring
Cons: picked up some junk on the rear driving through the desert
These are great tires. Replaced my BT016s I had and they seem like a nice progression of technology. Took my bike through Angeles Crest wih and didn't skip a beat. I did pick up some debris on my rear driving through the desert on the highway though. Noticed it when I stopped for gas. I'm not sure if the tire was degrading more quickly due to the heat or if it was just sticky and picking up rolled up rubber from the road. Thought it was noteworthy.

Great PerformanceLow Milage - TJ TX

Pros: Great Performance
Cons: Low Milage
I expected to get at least 3000 miles out of this tire. However 2500 miles is about all it has .. I'm talking rear tire here....No burn outs or abuse yet... I've been riding a mix of highway and country road commutes. Anyway, handling and overall performance is amazing I admit I have never been a fan of Bridgestone.I prefer Michelin 2CTs....But when these tires came stock on my New 2015 BMW S 1000RR...I noticed right away how great lean and handling had improved over my Michelle Pilot Power 3s I had had on previous BMW S 1000 RRs.Hey, diving into corner just after break was easy with these tires Already purchased a replacement rear..Just like it.. My next set of new tires will be Metzeler Sportec M7 RR...thought ...been wanting to try this brand for some time now...
