Bohn Base Pants are a revelation! How many of us just like to ride in Blue Jeans? It's like they were invented for motorcycling! But somehow our knees feel rather exposed, to say nothing of our hips. Bohn Base Pants fit comfortable hip pads with slim, articulated knee/shin armor in a stretch lycra pant - all designed to fit under your jeans. Your friends will never know!Breathable, stretch mesh fabric with ventilated crotch panel for added comfort
Armor includes: Approved Bohn Zorb Armor in knee/shin and hips
Non-roll elastic waistband
Zipper closures at ankles for a snug fit
Armor easily removes for laundering in a regular washing machine. There is no shrinking
About one quarter of our shirts and pants are bought by women who find the unisex styling practical and comfortable. Unlike jackets - where you often choose a larger size for comfort when you wear other garments underneath - the Bohn Bodyguard System should be selected closest to your 'real' size; this way it will fit snug and firm holding the armor in the correct position. Most people simply wear a T-shirt underneath their armor then add their leather or other jacket
The big advantage with this system is that you have a versatile armor system which you can wear under your other suits or jeans and that will last you many years
The safest way to ride it with a full leather suit, but for me this is just a little too much. I would much rather use Sliders® pants with Kevlar abrasion protection and a pair of armored pants for impact resistance. The combination of the 2 is much less bulky and provides significant protection. Plus, I can comfortably walk into a restaurant or bar and not look out of place.
Combine these with Sliders Jeans or Pants and get the benefits of Kevlar Abrasion resistance and the Armor's impact resistance.

Bohn CoolAir Mesh - Dave PA
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Lightweight, cool and needed protection
Cons: No Fly...Received pants with two right hip pads, but a call to Comp Acc. got me the correct pad for the left.
These pants fit under my Draggin Jean and relaxed fit jeans very well. You do forget they are there when riding, but the added protection puts my mind at ease. The construction seems OK for the weight of the pants, good armor and cool when riding. The only negative so far is the fact that there is no fly. Guess this is no problem for females, but for guys it is a hassle. Hence the 4 stars instead of five.
Extra cost to get all the pads - John CA
Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: light weight protection
Cons: You do not get all the pads
For the price I paid I thought I would get all the pads. I did not read the fine print and when I called I was told I would have to pay extra if I wanted all the pads. I bought these pants for all the protection they were designed to provide. To not provide all the pads with the pants for one price is a rip off Why would I pay as much as I paid and still not have the protection the pants are designed for. The pants have the slots for all the pads but they are not all included.
