Biltwell offers three different laser-cut 1/8-inch (3mm) thick steel brackets for custom fabricators who wish to mount the company’s Model B taillight in the cleanest manner possible. Two models are designed for welding to the vertical uprights on a sissy bar, with one featuring a surface for installing US motorcycle license plates. The third bracket is a simple round affair that can be bolted to the center of the rear fender or welded to an existing side-mount license plate bracket.
Note: The black electroplate finish is not intended to withstand heat and bending. It is merely plated to protect the raw steel in our warehouse and on your shelf. After tweaking your Model B bracket to fit your fender, we suggest polishing and chroming, or at least a good coat of paint.
- This simple steel plate has feet any competent garage mechanic can bend with a torch and crescent wrench to fit the contours of his rear fender. After modifying the plate to stand upright on the fender, simply drill two holes through the fender using the bracket as a guide. Some acorn nuts or button Allen cap screws will complete the install and give you a place to mount your Model B taillight. This is just one home fab application for this pre-cut plate. Clever builders will come up with dozens of other ways to put this piece to good use.
- Made from laser-cut 1/8-inch thick (3mm) sheet steel; with a matte black electroplate finish for rust-resistance.
