This review is for Alpinestars GP Plus R Perforated Leather Jacket
Great perforated jacket - Harlan   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Great looking, great protection
Cons: Should include the Bionic chest pads

UPgraded to leather from mesh after a crash in December. This is the best fitting leather jacket I have ever worn. I am about 5' 9 and 185 pounds. Size 52 fits wonderfully. The sleeves are a hair too long, which is normal for me. I added the Forcefield CE2 back protector and it is specially produced for Astars so its an exact copy of the cheap foam pad that comes iwth the jacket. I also bought the Bionic chest protectors becuase Forcefield doesn't currently make these custom for Astars. Even with the chest protection in, it flows a decent amount of air as the chest pads have air channels. Very happy with this purchase and the jacket seems to be fitting better every time i wear it. I suspect I am getting used to the stiffer more aggressive fit and it is also breaking in as well.

Cool Jacket - Coyote Oldman   AL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Looks great, well designed, well constructed, fits well and ventilates well
    Cons: None

As a long time Harley rider and Life HOG member, I made the unusual decision to buy a Kawasaki ZX-14R, because I wanted to acquire the skills needed to ride a high performance Sport Bike. In addition to the skills, one also needs specialized riding gear.Living on the Gulf Coast of Alabama,I have become accustomed to wearing only long tee shirts during our humid summer. My need for protective gear to wear in hot, humid, weather started my research that culminated in ordering the Alpinestars T-GP Pro Air Jacket. Having worn the jacket, I can truthfully state that the jacket is Coolboth in looks and ventilation. However, the reality remains that you have to be moving for the ventilation to work.In other parts of the country where there is less humidity, the jacket should be extremely comfortable in the summer.

Love the jacket - Martin G   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: flows a ton of air
Cons: material can fray, white gets dingy

I really like the style, function, fit and airflow of this jacket. Also like how it will accept the Bio chest protectors. I would call the sizing relaxed but not big or baggy per say. Shoulders and arms fit well and keep armor where it needs to be, but jacket is not so tight that it wrinkles your clothes if you are commuting to work in a collared shirt. Jacket has lots of useful pockets and mates up well to their Oxygen Air over pants for my daily, 5 mile commute. Beware of the versions with white material. Mechanically, its holding but not so much aesthetically. The white mesh fabric along the main zipper is starting to get all fuzzy and frizzy. Also the white mesh near the neck is getting dingy. The white ballistic fabric is tougher to clean than white leather. Probably obvious to most but wasn't really apparent to me until I tried to clean it for the first time. Overall I am very pleased.

Great Jacket.. Upgraded the Armor - CBR1000   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: good design
    Cons: not great stock armor

The jacket flows a lot of air.. even when sitting still outside you can feel the wind blowing through the jacket. The only thing that I do not like about the jacket is the back protection isn't very solid so I upgraded to the bio armor. Well worth the money..

This review is for Alpinestars TZ1 Reload Leather Jackets
Love the TZ1 - Adam   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: good fit. sub-dued style
    Cons: [None]

I was looking for a basic plain leather perforated jacket. So I bought a TZ1 in my normal size and fits really well, even with the upgraded bio armor back protector, its more relaxed, but still snug enough for protection, much more comfy for street, just not too thrilled with the very low collar, but might be thankful for it once the northeast temps hit the 90's

overall if you have the 500 bucks to drop then def. get the Alpinestars GP Pro, but plan on upgrading your back n chest. This jacket is great, tight in all the right spots, shoulder n elbow armor is the best you can get, but as for the chest and back pads they feels cheap but if you plan on upgrading it, this doesn't matter anyways...

This review is for Alpinestars GP Pro Leather Jackets
Over all, when you have this jacket on it makes you look good and you can perform much much better. Don't really know how to give a review, but this leather jacket is worth every penny!!!! Get one and see you at the track.....

This review is for Alpinestars Tech 1R Leather Jackets
Great Jacket - Vinman   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Alpinestars Quality
Cons: A bit tight around the forarms

I have the older tech 1R Jacket and this is slightly better. It has more perforation in the front but I wish they would have done the hole front area perforated. The fit is slightly smaller around the waist and also the forarms. Overall a very nice jacket at a great price.

Love this jacket but... - Smokey04b   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great ventilation, Good Euro fit, Hey it's A-Stars
Cons: Cuff closures are kinda funky, for the price you couldn't upgrade to some real armor instead of pads

Overall, I'm loving this jacket. Air flow is way better than the Rocket it replaced and with the reflective bits I was finally able to get rid of the orange vest getting on base. Couple of issues though, besides those listed in the cons.1. The waterproof, windproof liner is just a vest, so you'll probably need something more on cold days2. I got the whiteblue one and I have to say that it is not the same blue in the picture. It's more the purplish Yamaha blue, not a royal blue - which sucks since I ride a GSXR, not an R1. The Alpinestars stitching on the collar is also different, white instead of the black shown in the pic. If it wasn't for this I'd give it full 5 stars.
