Worth the extra - Mark c-14   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Great workmanship
    Cons: None

Alpinestars does not disappoint, when you spend 6-8 hrs a day in your gear you realize comfort, function and quality can make the difference between a good day or bad. The lower temperature for me in these gloves is about 45F.

Pros: Fit is nice, well built, good value.
Cons: No real cons here, just Make sure you know your glove size. They fit snug.

This my second pair, love these gloves. The price was right. I have a black and red pair. Very durable.

Great Glove - Wannaride   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fits great, ventilated, looks great
Cons: Wrist closure not quite as secure as I'd like

Gloves fit very tightly initially but given the relatively nominal wrist closure the tightness is a good thing as it makes it unlikely that the glove would come off in an accident. Once on the glove fits very well. Not quite as ventilated as some other ventilated gloves but I would not want to crash in those gloves. Palm does not have any protection other than double leather but the leather is pretty serious and you have an excellent control interface with this glove. I really like them and would get another pair without question.

Best riding glove - HillBilly EFFE   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: comfort, breathability, quality
    Cons: hard to find in-stores

I have been riding for upwards of 15 years and Alpinestars is always the way to go these gloves are the only ones I will buy I am on my 3rd set and only reason I have gone through 2 is from rain and road grime, they are stiff and uncomfortable but still wearable.

Not inexpensive, but a very good glove - Ed from Charlotte   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Construction and design
    Cons: [None]

After many couldn't say how long, really years' great service my GP Pros finally started to wear through the palms... considering how happy I'd been with them, it was logical to give Alpinestars another look. The GP Plus glove has many features of the GP Pro, but comes with a slightly lighter price tag so I took the plunge. VERY happy with the gloves, as well as with CompAcc's service- ordered them online, but elected to take them back to my local store Rock Hill, SC to step up to a larger size. The entire process was extremely quick and painless, I had the replacements in just a couple of days, and I'm completely satisfied with the new gloves.Ed from Charlotte

Great Gloves - bill   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: good fit and excelllent closure
    Cons: None so far

I was looking for a new summer glove and found the Alpinestars when I was reviewing gloves. I have not been disappointed the gloves have excellent ventilation and closures. They offer good feel and do not shift on the hand. Nicely constructed and offering what appears to be substantial protection, these should be a great warm weather glove.

SMX2 are Awesome for the price - Kury   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: fit great, break-in fast
    Cons: [None]

These gloves fit awesome like a second skin and they break in really fast. I really like the carbon knuckle and have gotten a lot of complements on it. For the price you can't beat it.

Great summer glove - WaynoJ   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Sturdy, great air-flow, looks wow
    Cons: Sizes run VERY small

I have been trying to find a good warm-weather glove since last spring, and have tried six different pairs before finally discovering the Alpinestars M20 Air glove. First off, it apparently is a european-cut glove, which, I guess, means it runs very small they have small hands in Europe. I normally wear a size MED. After reading reviews on other sites, I bought a size LG, and it is tighter than any size MED glove I have ever worn from any other manufacturer. It has started to stretch out, so I'm thinking it will be pretty much perfect, but be warned -- you need to order at least one size up. Features -- it doesn't have any hard armor, but there is plenty of padding across the knuckles and fingers, and a second layer of leather on the side of the palm, so I think it will provide a lot of protection. Air-flow is amazing. Most of the nack of the glove is mesh, and it really lets the air in. I got it in black green, and it is very stylish -- the color of the green Monster logos match my two hi-viz yellow Sliders jackets perfectly. Overall, I would highly recommend this glove for anyone looking for a shorty summer glove.

Good Quality - KAWASAKININJARIDER   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Knuckle gurards, Comfortable, snug fit, Thick on top of hands
Cons: too thin on bottom of hands

I like these a lot. The reasons being is because these gloves aid to very good protection for the knuckles and hands, There is 4 knuckle guards, 1 hard plastic piece on each knuckle except for thumb. They breath well, Thick on the top. They are not as thick as I would prefer on the bottom of the hands. They are true to size. I ordered a LG and they fit very well. I like the fact that they go just above the wrist. These gloves are not meant to go up way past the wrist. They are intentionally short in length. So if you want extra wrist protection, order another style of these gloves. Great product, protection, style, and comfort ability

I broke the bike out of it's winter hibernation and have been riding to work. Morning temps in the high 20s and low 30s. I find these gloves are amazingly warm. They are comfortable and not bulky. I paid full price for them and will attest that they are worth every penny!!!! At this price they are a no brainier add them to your cart!

Talk about one of the most comfortable pair of gloves out there. These are really nice. Yes, it is a bit expensive but well worth it. I am on my second pair. It will take a couple of days to break in. Not to great for temperature over 90 degree. Fits my hands perfect, looks awesome. I even got a pair for my little brother and he loves them.

Good so far - Holder   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: good fit
    Cons: thin material

Well I have not had them very long, but they are good so far. The material is thinminimal and does not seem like it would offer much protection if a slip and fall occurs. Also when putting on the gloves, the fingers get stuck to the velcro part when strapping which was annoying.Glove fits snug which I like. It has held up throughout the entire riding portion of the MSF course I took. Haven't done any street riding just yet but I imagine when I do, these look like they will last only a couple months if anything hope they last though.

    Pros: [None]
    Cons: [None]

Pros-fit is incredible these gloves feel like a second skin-styling is aggressive and sleek and the carbon fiber knuckles are beautiful- mesh on the fingers offers good ventilationCons-the finger tips fray easily when trying to remove the micro velcro strap-small rubber grips on the finger tips will come off over time

This review is for Alpinestars Tech Road Gore-Tex Gloves
Alpinestars Tech Road Gore-Tex Gloves - JC in NC   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Excellent protective features, material quality, water proof, sporty looks
Cons: Alpinestars fit, not for really cold weather, pricy

For the money, the Alpinestars Tech Road Gore-Tex gloves should be one of the best cool and or inclement weather gloves available. A has incorporated some of the best protective features from their high-end race gloves which I really like. The TPU knuckles, pinky finger roll bridge is that really a common injury and the TPU scaphoid slider on the palm are features you'd expect on the best race gloves and the Tech Roads deliver. The leather feels substantial in all the right places without feeling bulky allowing excellent mobility from a glove of this type. I welcome the visor wipe and the gloves felt broken-in out of the bag and super comfortable. The Gore-Tex liner and fleece interior also make for a nice, dry and cozy home for your hands. That is, though, if it's above 40F. I rode at highway speeds at around 40 degrees the other day. After only about 20 minutes I could feel my pinky and ring fingers getting chilled - they were getting numb after another 10 minutes. These are not gloves for the dead of winter. I added some liners, which helped some, but they still got cold. Fit is a little off for me too. I wear A GP-Plus and GP-Pro gloves in XL absolutely perfectly. The fore fingers and thumbs in the Tech Roads are just a smidgen too long in XL and going to a Large doesn't work for the rest of the glove. No digging for my wallet at the gas pump without taking the gloves off first for me. Another minor annoyance is the weak reflective piping. If you're going to put it on the glove at least make it effective If you ride sport bikes year-round and want a glove that will protect as well as your gloves you wear on track, then the Tech Roads should fit the bill. They look cool, will keep your hands warm to an extent, give great feel and look to protect well in a fall. Undoubtedly, these are not the gloves for really cold commuting or touring without heated liners and or grips. If you need a dedicated winter glove you could probably find a more suitable glove at this price.

This review is for Alpinestars Messenger Drystar Waterproof Gloves
Alpinestars Messenger Gloves - Lew   MT Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Price, Alpinestarts Brand
    Cons: Sizing

THESE GLOVES RUN WAY SMALL I own another pair of Alpinestars gloves which are sized large, so I ordered the same... my mistake. After sending back TWICE, I finally got a pair 2X Large and although they 'fit', I wonder if 3X wouldn't have been best but I really didn't want another shipping charge - started to defeat the purpose of ordering a bargain glove. The cuff is small as well - barely fits over my rain jacket sleeve. Haven't exposed them to rain yet so no comment on waterproof ability. Provided they are functionally waterproof, I'll recommend easily. As always, CompAcc customer service very helpful in the exchanges.

Greating looking glove for more of money - Ajith   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, great looking , Good for day to day use, Good leather quality
Cons: High Price, Less air flow , Cant be used on sunny days when temparature is high

I would recommend this product as this product is meant long use as its built to last long, as for day to day use, its good looking GLOVE with proper stitches, and really comfortable to put on. This gloves in best suited for streets rather than touring. Gives enough protection from cold but you tend to remove it as it gets hot due to lack of proper air flow. And at last this gloves is overpriced compared to lot of other brands for same category product but i may say you cant go wrong with APLINESTAR.

Alpine Gloves - John M.   GA Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: Look good.
    Cons: Too fragile.

I ordered from the chart on line. The gloves must run on the small size as they are definitely too small and won't last long because of the effort to get them on. The thumb is already fraying from less than 10 wearings. As stated above, they look good, but that is not as important as being able to order a comfortable, usable product.

Mixed - Scott Bechler   VA Recommended by Reviewer: No
    Pros: Excellent construction. Warm.
    Cons: Gauntlet is tight.

My only issue with the glove is the gauntlet. The gauntlet on a coldweather glove obviously needs to go over a coldweather jacket. I can barely get the velcro to attach wearing these with my fall jacket. Fit in the palm and fingers is great.
