Waterproof Not so much. - Nick

Pros: Comfortable, zip into most Alpinestars jackets to make complete suit.
Cons: Drystar is not Goretex, and these are not waterproof.
What Drystar will do is keep you mostly dry in light rain conditions, but if you're a touring rider and you're going to be passing through some actual real rain, then you'll still need a rainsuit with this kit. It isn't waterproof despite what the advertising claims. What ends up happening is water saturates the fabric and eventually has no real trouble getting through the membrane, leaving your clothing underneat soaked. What I do like is that they fit well and the are comfortable for minor inclement weather, on hotter days I usually wear shorts underneath.Overall, I own these because I got them for a steal, I would never buy them again, and now that I'm doing a lot more serious long distance riding I'm going to invest in better gear.
