Simple, but decent boots - Dave
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Price, water resistance
Cons: Fit not as good as more expensive boots see 'Pro' regarding price.
Been wearing these boots for about three years. They definitely don't hug my feet like more refined expensive boots. But I don't hike in them, so no big deal. After three years of almost daily use while commuting on two wheels, I've experienced no seam failures or defects in materials. The sole has finally worn through on one boot however, so time to replace them. I've found nothing better since then without spending more than twice the money. Good value.

I've never got these abrasions that the others speak about. They are generally decent boots, hot when it's 90 degrees out though. And, they aren't waterproof. The "v" on the back also falls off. Other than that, they've been a decent first pair of boots.

These are comfortable to walk in and easy to put on and take off. However, the welt at the top of the inner liner where it contacts your leg above the ankle is lined with an open nylon mesh similar to the covering of the bug-scrubbing sponges you buy for cars. The nylon mesh rapidly abrades the skin on your legs if your socks fall down to the point that they are below the top of the boots. You MUST wear socks that are tall and will stay up as long as you have these boots on. Even the minor movement of shifting and braking rapidly becomes painful if your legs are not well protected. I later wore these on a long weekend ride, including walking around all day at a swap meet, when I had good tall socks on, and they were comfortable. The sizing runs slightly small, I normally wear a 10 shoe, size 11 in these boots was a good fit.

The Product Details list these boots as having All Leather Uppers. However, the boots that I received most certainly do not appear to have any leather components that can be discerned. Rather, they appearfeellooksmell to be manufactured of 100 percent man-made materials. Was this possibly why they were offered at a special discounted sale price when I ordered them - that maybe a few non-leather versions got accidentally shipped in from China Further, although I ordered a slightly larger size than I would regularly take, the boot tops fit very tightly around my calves and I've fairly average sized legs - I'm not a heavyweight fellow, making it extremely difficult to zip them up on both sides and also making them particularly uncomfortable for walking. As others have stated, these are indeed cheap boots, and they conform very accurately to that description. I am sending them back - the very first time to date that I've ordered any motorcycle gear online and found it necessary due to unacceptable product value reasons to do so. Their cheap boot factor notwithstanding, all and all I'd classify this product - or at least this pair of boots I received -as a fairly substantial disappointment.

these are cheap boots because they are cheap boots. zippers get caught half way up, due to cut of thr leather. no adjustment for the top. so your shins will get a blister even with high socks. won't take long either. don't waste your money on these like i did.
