TourMaster Transition 3 Jacket Review
Tourmaster Solution 2.0 Boots Review at Competition Accessories
hey guys this is Reuben with competition accessories and i have baron here and we're both wearing the tourmaster transition 3 jackets now the transition 2 was an extremely popular jacket that was very popular for a lot of touring riders and long distance commuters andevery other kind of rider in between its really functional id say its more of like a three season its a three quarter length thats available in tall sizes so it works very well for bigger guys as far as fit goes its fairly generous these are both extra larges fittingvery well there are size adjustment straps available right at the middle area and then down at the waist as well we have reflective material with the waist adjustment you also have snap sleeve take ups which will help reduce flapping and help hold that elbow armor inplace you do get CE armor in both your elbow and shoulder and then you also get an articulated back pad as well which is going to helpwith any impact protection as far as the actual shell of this jacket its a 600 denier carbolex which is really flexible and light and itsfairly comfortable its not going to require a lot of break in and its not going to be really stiff and crumply and over the impact areasyou have 1680 denier polyester which is a ballistic material which is going to hold up very well against any abrasion so you can see it inthe elbows and over the shoulders its got that more firm material which is going to hold up very well in an accident now we actually havea transition 2 which now this is the very popular transition 2 its been out for quite a while and i just wonted to kind of give you a lookat that one and then you can take a look at the one were wearing basically the overall fit and function of the jacket hasnt really changedbut the transition 3 they have given you much more reflective material so you have reflective piping that runs all the way down your sleeve theres large reflective stripes across the chest and baron if you would turn around here so can see that theres a nice wide reflective stripe going across the back here an the very popular triangle logo from tourmaster which is reflective and these small areas that are kindof blackened out with the little poke a dotted designs across them if you wanna turn around here you can see there kind of through outthe jacket theres that little poke a dot effect those are actually small reflective panels as well which will stand out very well at night and obviously baron has the hi viz version on which is going to do a very good job of letting you be seen now looking at the storing optionsagain this is a touring jacket so you do have large storage pockets built into the chest here and then behind this Velcro there is the waterproof zipper and you have a large map pocket or any large item right here in the chest and you do have those on both sides then inthe front here you have cargo pockets which have kind of envelope style closure flips down and then baron if you wont to open up the insideof your jacket one thing that ill show you here is on the inside you have a small stash pocket so you have a small stash pocket zipperedright here and then on the inside you have some small storage pockets which would work great with cell phones or anything else like thatand then over there you have another storage pocket baron actually has in his quilted liner this is a 100 gram poly filled insulated linerthis is very good for in the winter time so if your a cold weather rider and you use your bike through out the year this jackets gonna workextremely well in colder conditions and be a good warm jacket but now as far as summer time use you do get quite a good bit of ventilationnow theres a vent right here on each shoulder that runs from about your elbow to your neck on the collar so you can see all the way downthis area here and its going to have both the waterproof zipper and the Velcro thats going to hold it open or close it securely and onething about this jacket is that it has what tourmaster calls a rain guard barrier which is a waterproof mid liner and thats going to do a really good job sealing to clean out the elements but they have what they call there pipeline ventilation system and on this shoulder venthere they have essentially a pipe passage way through that mid layer so that this vent can actually reach your skin and be very effectiveyou also have small intake vents on the chest here so if you undo this Velcro it leads to another zipper which leads to this vent and theyve actually designed this Velcro so that it can be velcroed to itself and its just going to keep that flap out of the way and keep the vent openso you get lots of intake air and if you spin around one more time for me baron on the back here you have a large exhaust vent so you canopen that up and its going to get all of that hot air out of the jacket and its a really good effectively way to cool the jacket and keepyou cool inside you see that there is some stretch material at the waist here and then this lower portion here theres two zippers on eachside basically a fanny pack built in thats really handy for storing the liner so if your riding in the summer time you can pull that jacketout or especially if your in a mountainous region where it might go from cold and then once you get down in the valley and it starts to warm up pull that liner out and youll have somewhere to stash it in the lower portion of the jacket so thats the tourmaster transition 3great new jacket that will work well with a variety of riders were very impressed with them theyre very comfortable right out of the boxtheres a lot of little details that they have improved over the two such as the finish of the sleeve theyve just given that kind of anice soft cuff which is going to be very comfortable over or under gauntlet gloves and other little details like that just soft materiallike that around the collar just making it a much more comfortable jacket out Tourmaster Solution 2.0 BootsHey guys, this is Reuben with Competition Accessories. Welcome to our review of the Tourmaster Solution 2.0. Now the solution 2.0 and the original Tourmaster Solution boots have been some of the most popular waterproof boot styles that we have sold here at Competition Accessories. Now the Tourmaster Solution 2.0 has been out for a little while now and weve had a chance to really put it through its paces, try it on, see how it fits, how it feels, how long it lasts, and we have been really impressed. Weve got tons of customer reviews on our website if you want to jump on there at the end of this video and read some customer feedback on them. The best thing about them is the price. These are not going to break the bank. They retail for 119 bucks and we sell them for under 110 so you can jump on there and see what our current price is but theyre a really, really valuable boot for the money. Im definitely very impressed. The other thing thats really attractive about the Solution 2.0 is its going to work for such a huge variety of riders whether youre a commuter thats on the bike everyday, or if your planning a longer trip where you dont know what kind of weather your going to encounter the Solution 2.0 is going to work just great. Even this style of boot can work well for a sport bike guy if your not looking for the ultimate protection and not going to the track all the time the Solution 2.0 is great option for you guys in that segment also. One thing that I really like about it, obviously, is it has a built in HiPora Membrane, which is going to be waterproof, thats the key feature for it. I will open the boot up here you will see that there is a Velcro flap thats going to cover the main zipper. There is Velcro on the end of the zipper as well which helps hold the zipper pull up in place. And then you see that internal waterproof membrane this gusset underneath the zipper here extends pretty much all the way to the top of the boot. What that does for you is its going to prevent water from coming in behind the zipper here and even if you were to ride through some big puddles where water is washing up over your feet, as long as water doesnt get over the top of the boot and run down inside these are going to do a great job of keeping your feet dry. Now HiPora has some really neat properties to it. It not only keeps the water out, its also a very breathable material, so for those warmer days when your feet might be getting a little hotter, it does a fairly good job of breathing and allowing your foot to breath so its not super hot. Now I will say any waterproof boot, if its 90 degrees out and middle of summer, your feet are probably going to get a little toasty in them. But the flip side of that is if you do get caught in the rain theyre going to keep your feet nice and dry and in cold weather obviously it helps block a bit more wind and keep your feet nice and warm inside the boot. The inside is lined with a nice soft material they do have what they call their Techno GI thermoplastic heel cup and toecap. So you have a heel cup around the back here thats inside the boot for support and protection. The toe box is reinforced as well, thats going to keep it nice and comfortable when shifting but also add some protection as well if you were to go down, tumble and hit the front of your foot on something thats going to help reinforce that area and keep you comfortable. Some built in armor over the anklebone, thats there not only for impact protection but also for abrasion resistance. Obviously leather does a good job but if you were to go down, your foot is underneath your bike its going to help prevent any wear or damage to your ankle and your foot inside the boot. On the sole of the boot you have some nice tread design. I really like the sole of the solution 2s cause theyre really comfortable off the bike also, so if youre like me and ride some events whether its bike night or some kind of open house or charity fund-raiser type of event or your riding somewhere then your off the bike walking around for hours, you know the last thing you need is a really stiff uncomfortable boot thats really hurting your feet all day long. So these boots are going to give you really sure footing but they are also fairly flexible so you can walk around in comfort. The foot bed that they use inside these is orthopedic, has some arch support in it, and it also absorbs vibration so if your bike has a little bit of buzz in the foot pegs or anything these are going to help absorb that as well. If you want to look down here at my foot, I actually have one of the Solution 2s on my foot and you can see what it looks like with jeans on. Very comfortable boot, as far as sizing goes, I pretty much always wear a size 10 or a 44. No different with the Solution 2. They are just right, I would say if you are kind of in between sizes especially if you have a slightly wider foot you probably want to go up a size. But I typically take a size 10 sometimes I have to go up a size 10.5 in tennis shoes depending on the width but on these particular ones I find that I can wear the size 10 and they fit just right so very comfortable as far as flexibility goes. You can walk around as I mentioned all day long in comfort in the Solution 2.0 and again you cant beat that price for under 120 bucks youre getting a fully featured waterproof motorcycle boot. So check out these Solution 2.0s from Tourmaster on our website, at competitionaccessories.com and dont forget most of your orders here at competition accessories are going to ship for free and you can earn up to 5% comp-a-cash back to use toward future purchases. The original solution boots were introduced over 5 years ago and were in need of updating. So the product developers at Tourmaster spent the better part of last year redesigning the boots to create the Women's Tourmaster Solution 2.0 boots for 2011. The new Women's Tourmaster Solution 2 boots use a high quality water-repellent leather upper with leather stretch panels and PU synthetic material (PU) to provide a flexible, yet safe upper. The Solution 2.0 boots also have a gusset built into the opening to seal out the elements from entering the top of the boot. Tourmaster then lined the Solution 2.0 with a HiPora waterproof, breathable membrane.
The combination of these features result in the Tourmaster Solution 2 boots being both breathable, and completely waterproof. For 2011 Tourmaster has added a TecnoGI thermoplastic heel cup and toecap to reduce the transfer of energy and the likelihood of injury to your toes and heel in the event of a crash. Riders will benefit from the new pre-formed foot bed, which is made to reduce vibration. Add up all of these features within the new Tourmaster Solution 2.0 and we at CompetitionAccessories.com think this will be another great seller.

Excellent boot I tried on half a dozen different brands and styles and the Tourmaster Solution 2.0 was far superior to any of the others. The boot is very well made with crush protection in the ankle, toe and shin. The insole is very cushioned, much like that of a running shoe. I would have no problem riding to a destination and then walking for an extended time.I've been impressed with all my Tourmaster gear and now I'm sold on their boots. Highly recommended.
Good Booth For The Money - Craig C PA

Pros: Comfort, flexibility, protection
Cons: Inner velcro flap interferes with shifting
I've had this boot for a while now, and overall it's a really nice boot for the money. If you have a sport bike, I'd recommend styling away from these. The inner velcro flap has gotten my foot stuck changing positions on the peg a few times lately, as the boots have broken in. At least on my rear sets CBR600. Fit is a little wide but the upside is there's room for heavier socks. This a much better fall winter boot.
I bought these boots for the motorcycle safety course and loved how they fit. The boots were true to size, and I had even a little extra room for heavier socks. While I took the course it rained both days and I had no issues with wet feet. These boots were also very comfortable to shift in. The only down size to these boots are the velcro on the side. The velcro on my right boot kept coming undone. I am hoping with time that as the leather stretches this won't be a problem. All in all, a great boot and would highly recommend it.

Pros: Comfortable, vented well.
Cons: Velcro hook and loop is backwards.
Velcro hook and loop is backwards. Hook catchs on mesh liner of pants, if they were reversed the loop would be exposed on the boots rather than the hook.
Tourmaster Solution WP Boot - Jay MI

Pros: Nice fit
Cons: These are not even water repellent
We purchased a pair of mens and ladies Solution 2.0 WP boots. These boots are advertised as completely waterproof by Competition Accessories. We just got back from our first trip using them and we went through some rain. My wife's socks were wet and my feet were soaked. If you are looking for a waterproof boot, look elsewhere. The customer service rep told me that these boots are only water repellent, not waterproof. This is contrary to their advertising.
