Great buy - Norm   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great value, easy on and off
    Cons: zippers a little sticky

I had previously worn Redwing engineer boots on trips and while they are great riding boots, they are hard to take off and not that comfortable to walk in. I bought these boots last spring when ordering some other stuff. I wore them on a 12 day trip from Colorado to the Pacific northwest and I am very impressed. They were great on the bike and comfortable to walk in too. They are an easy on and off, the only issue being the zipper on the long-side tends to catch at the seam but I've learned to deal with it. While not water proof, they hold up very well in short burst storms.

Can't Beat This Boot for the Price - John V   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Light weight, well made, last and last
Cons: They say Vega, and I'm a Ford Guy....

I've had these boots for over 5 years. The zipper on one broke two years ago, and I took them into a shoe repair place. The guy put a YKK on for 10 and it made the zipper issue some have noted disappear. That guy has been doing shoe repair for over 35 years and he old me how well made the boots were I wear a 9&12, bought the 10s. I put an ergo footbed in and the fit is perfect for me.

excellent boots - Dan K   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Good protection and fit
    Cons: not waterproof

These aren't waterproof, but for the price, I wouldn't expect them to be. However, I have ridden in some light drizzle and my feet stayed dry. They do get a little hot in the warmer days but that is expected. One thing I usually do is wear socks that I can pull up to the top of the boots so I don't get any chafing. They aren't the most comfortable to walk around in, but they are also low key enough where you can wear them and not look like you just got off a bike. All in all, it's a great value, and I'd highly recommend these.

I got my boots today and have been wearing them all day to break them in. I haven't ridden in them yet but I don't see any reason why they wouldn't be great. As others have said, they feel snug at first. But after a few hours I can tell they've loosed a bit. Especially after taking them off and putting them back on. I think the next size up would've been too big. These are great boots, especially for the cost!! Mine are replacing a German Motorcycle's "Street Sneakers". If I get as long of use from these as from the previous boots I'll be even happier. I have none of the rubbing on the shin as I've read in reviews here and other sights. The inside is soft against my shin. They are warm though, but I'm inside. Now on to the service. I ordered them on a Tuesday at 10:45 am EST and selected the standard ground shipping the cheapest. They were delivered the NEXT DAY at 9:50 am! That's right, about 23 hours from order not ship to delivery. Granted they went from SC to GA but it's still pretty impressive! Way to go Competition Accessories! I'l be shopping here again.

Just received this boots and they are great right out of the box......Sizing is perfect and they look like you spent 3 times more......Great Value If you need boots get these while they last you wont be sorry

OK, this is my second review of these boots. I've ridden thousands of miles with them by now, and I have to say that they have proven to be outstanding riding boots. They are comfortable, give me good feel on the bike, provide great protection, are easy to put on and take off, and have held up perfectly with no issues whatsoever. I hardly ever wear my Alpine Stars half-boots anymore. In my opinion, this is an amazing bargain that you will not regret. I think I'm gonna order a second pair just to have when I finally wear this pair out. And no, I'm not affiliated with Vega, Competition Accessories, or any other associated organization. Just a fellow rider.

    Tim W.
Unbelievable deal. I have worn them for a week now and cannot get over how comfortable and durable they are. Love the adjustable velco, easy zippers, the toe guards and the traction of the soles they really grip when stopping and starting. Paid 200 for H-D pull-on boots that are not half as comfortable. What a a hidden treasure!

    Bob G.
For 59, I was a little skeptical. As it turns out, I use these great boots more than I use my AlpineStars half-boots. They are comfortable, I can walk in them without issues, my jeans fit over them, and I still have great feel of my motorcycle.

I agree that the sizes are spot-on. I wear an 11 shoe, and these boots are also 11's. This is one of the rare bargains out there, in my opinion.

    Bill M.
Great boot. Size is right on. Very comfortable. May have to buy another pair before the price goes up.

    John D
Just got them. Boots look great. What a deal. Thanks CA

yep agree... can't beat it with a stick for the money

    hondarider10
Well for 50 I had to give them a try.. They are a lot better than the shoes I was wearing before. fit is good, material is good. Probably would expect closer to a 100 price tag, when comparing to the other boots out there. Kept the toes comfy and dry, so what else can you ask.

Excellent Boot for Price - Ted F   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Looks, build quality, price
Cons: do not run to true size

I love these boots but be warned that they do not run true to size so order one size larger or you will be making a phone call for the return. I ordered a 9.5 mens and and when they arrived they looked like womens boots size wise and would not fit at all. Sent them back for a 10.5 and fit just right. Excellent boot, fits well, and looks nice. An excellent investment for your riding gear

V Boots - Norm W   CO Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great boot for the price ,or even a reasonably higher price.
Cons: Zippers are a little annoying

As oyhers have said, the sizing is right on. Appears to be decent fit and finish, comfortable. My first trip was 150 miles in a driving rain and my feet stayed very dry.Only problem is the zippers stick, especially on the long side of each boot, right where you can see that seam in the picture. My chief concern is weather tugging on the zipper will eventually cause a break of the zipper or the clasp.I would recommend these to anyone.

Toruing Boots - NeoConWinger   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
    Pros: Fit, comfort
    Cons: Fit, padding, sole

Like others, I had my doubts about a boot for 60. Having had others for 3 times that price and still been unhappy, but I figured what the heck.I have always heard that a good boot should feel like a good boot right out of the box. If any sales person ever tells you it will take time to break in---that is BS. Get out of that store or try something else. The only thing time should do to a good pair of boots is make them feel better. Ask any farmer. These felt like a soft pair of socks right out of the box. I could not believe it. Not too wide and not too short. A real treat for mail order.Ok. Three hours and a 180 miles later Still very comfortable. A little on the warm side. The inner 'sock' is not removable and I may need to figure out how to fold it over so you can close the zippers without forming a ridge that I found slightly irritating. The lack of a proper sole seems to be the norm with all these style of boots. I do not know why they can not make a boot of this same style with a welted sewn solid sole. My old HD boots are comfortable for riding but not much for walking. Ouch You do not want to walk any distance in HD boots. They feel fine on your feet and while riding but they were not meant to be walked in. I am sure I am the only one who feels this way and that is ok. My feet - my opinion.Water resistance may play a role in the flimsy plastic rubber like sole.Anyway, after a good ride I found the soft inner sock to be a tad annoying for the pressure it put on my calf. I know a supportive safe boot should not be too loose and allow your foot to flop around in the event of a crash fall. But I felt that a bit too much pressure left me feeling no place to get away from the pressure while on the pegs. My HD boots are too loose I know. But I got used to that and I may need to re-adjust for safety.I also feel that I can do more with the folding of the inner sock to maybe adjust to its firm fitment. But overall I love these boots and hope they stand the test of time that my old HD boots have done.Because for 60 I can not and will not complain too loudly.

I ordered a size 9 as I like a snug fit and they were right on, so fit is what I thought it would be. Soft and comfy to walk around in.
The 60 is a reasonable price however Compacc adds 3 for "handling" and 9 for shipping which totals to 72. Would have liked it better if they had free shipping.

Ordered these boots on a Sunday and had them Tuesday morning. Fit was about perfect. One little ragged seam near the right front, outside zipper caused a small problem with zipping, but nothing that a razor blade didn't quickly fix. The boots are comfortable, I have worn them 3 times now including days at or below 40° and stayed warm. Cannot comment on waterproofness but I absolutely love the boots. I would recommend and would buy again. Great Job compacc.

    Jack M
Great boots for the price, but they are very warm in the summer because of the inner bootie.

    Marty C
I've had these boots since October of 2008. For 50.00 I'm thinking of getting another pair. I've put 24,000 miles on the bike with them on and have had no problems whatsoever, no separation or anything.

Vega Touring Boots - Bruce   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Excellent all-leather boot for the price Love the double zippers one of very few boots w this feature. Boot top is cut a little higher in front of the leg for protection- smart design.
Cons: Only come in WHOLE American sizes- how about half-sizes, or use European sizing Sole material is soft, crumbly rubber, wears out quickly, and will be torn up quickly by dual-sport or dirt bike pegs. Instead of the useless Vega rubber insert logo on the heel, how about some hi-viz reflective

I have two pairs of these boots now... I originally ordered a size 10, and they were a little too small, so I exchanged them w me paying the shipping cost for a size 11... which was a little too big, but wearable w two pairs of thick socks on... when the sole on those was about 12 worn after only 6 months, sole is very light and crumbly rubber, I decided to order another pair, and try the size 10s again... same issue, just a little too small and pinchy for comfort, even with the thinnest socks. I took them to a boot repair shop to see if they could be stretched a bit, the guy said it probably wouldn't do any good because of the molded construction, but he agreed to put them on the stretcher for a week for 15... and he was right, it didn't do any good. I started wearing them for short rides, hoping the inner lining would compress just enough to make them comfotrable with my thinnest pair of socks, and it has, but not enough to make them really comfortable. I want a 10 12 Please Oh, and lose the useless inlaid Vega logo on the heel, and replace it with a patch of black phoslite, which will actually do riders some good at nite.Bottom line- A good boot for a great price, IF on of the whole sizes fits your feet. Why don't they make half sizes, or use European sizing I'm a perfect 44 in other brands Expect the soles to wear quickly in normal street use, and be warned that use on serrated dirt pegs will destroy them in short order.

    Pros: [None]
    Cons: [None]

The sock in these boots will rub the skin off the bottom of your shin, if you can thake the pain buy a pair.

    Rick
They are very light weight compared to my Harley boots. I like that a lot. The only real problem I have with the boots is the inside zipper catches so I have to zip up part way to put the boot on, which makes it a struggle to put them on. I'll have to check to see if I need to take a razor blade to them as one of your earlier reviewers said they did.

    Jimbo
Great boots for the money, but I found the sizing a bit small. I have never had a problem with anyone's size nine, which I normally wear, had to go to a ten in these boots and it was still a tad tight.

    John Joe
This Touring boot is a great buy! Price, fit and comfort are all 5 star. I have had my pair since Sep. 2007 and the boot looks and feels as good as the day I got them the 14,000 miles of riding on them :- The only thing that buyers should know is that the upper will separate from the soul close to the toe area causing a nasty leak in hard rain. This happened to my pair after about 3 months of riding. Similar issues to other riders who have/had the boot as well. It is easily fixed with ShoeGoo around that seam area. It was worth that inconvenience
