First off, let me say these boots are over all excellent, a true 4.5 out of 5 stars. Fit is spot on per the manufacturer size chart. I usually wear an 11 or 11.5 in US size and the 45 euro size is a perfect match. The gortex liner functions flawlessly and my feet have been dry over now as I am finishing up my third riding season in these boots. Wear and tear have started to show up in year three in the textile fabric near the hardened toe box but nothing excessive. The black rubber sole has also started to age and, in places, now appears more gray than black. Comfort for walking is better than average and became very good when I put in my own sole inserts as the inserts that come with the boots are thin, non-supportive and moved around inside the boot. Put in some quality in-soles and these boots function very well, allow in superior air-flow my feet actually got cold in early morning rides in Texas, North Carolina and Korea but no water. When the temps rise is when these boots shine. If you wear moisture wicking socks then your feet will be wet. My only warning on durability is a result of unusual circumstances as I wore a small hole in the textile fabric of the left boot where the fabric meets the toe box. This developed after I bent my shifter arm on my XR1200X in a corner and the bend moved the end of the shifter arm back so gear changes rubbed at that seem. I would not expect problems with normal use as I have no other wear issues. However, if you love to corner you may want to consider WP boots with toe sliders as I have worn the outer toe of the soles nearly down to the fabric underneath. My next pair of boots will include the toe sliders for this reason. If you do not scrub your boots in the corners then these are fantastic boots.
TCX makes a quality product and they are excellent motorcycle boots. The company TCX was formerly known as Oxtar, but after a legal dispute with Alpinestars, they were forced to change their name to
TCX Boots. One thing you will notice is that TCX is certainly a premium Italian motorcycle boot manufacturer. They focus on performance and quality and some cases they can pretty price competitive with similar boots on the market. All TCX Boots are manufactured in European sizes, so make sure to visit the size chart below to see the US conversions. Based on customer feedback we have found them to run typically pretty true to size. However, they typically will fit people with a wider foot better. If you have a narrower foot you might want to consider Alpinestars.
