I wear a size 8.5 to 9.0 and when I purchased a size 9 they fit perfectly. They are very well built, not too loose or tight, very comfortable. The soles are non-slip and fit well on the bike pegs. Adjustment for fit is by the front leather velcro flap - I wish it were just a bit longer but it has never come open during my riding 50 miles to or from work. The ankle adjustment is easy to use - though when in the open unclipped position the adjustment link is loose and not attached to the shoe which could lead to it being lost so when not being worn I keep it snapped shut. So far a very good buy with only very minor glitches - I would purchase them again because of the quality and fit - I can't complain.

This is a follow up to my previous review - the time lapsed is about a year. I have used the boots on a fairly routine basis for about 3 hours each day for five days a week year round on my work commute. I also used them on a 7 day 3400 mile ride to the Redwoods and Sierra Nevada mountains this past summer. After a year of use the re-enforced textured rubber on the toe of my left boot my shift foot has cracked and fallen apart. Everything else with the boots have remained intact and comfortable with the exception of the velcro on the same left boot which is on the strap that croses the top of the boot and is supposed to attach to the velcro on the side. It simply refuses to remain attached and constantly needs to be pulled back and reconnected. This failure of the boot velcro along with the premature degradation of the toe protection has made all of the other benefits of this boot mute. I've never had a shoe or boot that did not last at least 4 years minimum ever before. I take care of my gear by polishingwaxing on a regular basis, expecially if I am caught in the rain these boots have only been in two or three rain storms which is very minimal in my opinion considering how much I ride. If you ride like I do, almost everyday, on a machine that is fast, high performing and exciting to ride, I cannot recommend these boots. If you are a recreational rider, cruiser or only ride on the weekends then you can probably get by with these boots just fine...fact is, if you ride flat footed these boots should be a worthwhile investment especially if you are one of those who normally are too lazy or foolish to wear proper foot protection. The eaze of use make them ideal. At the other extreme, I push my Kawasaki Concours 14 and demandexpect my gear to match the quality and ruggedness of my bike...these boots have failed to match those demands after only a year and will be replaced soon. I hope someone from Speed and Strength reads this and improves upon these boots...I really did like them and wished they had not had such poor quality rubber on the toe protector.

I have to start by saying I really like the way these shoes looked on-line. First thing I noticed when I got my hands on them is that the top buckle is really flimsy. That is where the majority of ankle support is, and the thing kept popping open. The hinge doesn't stay locked down under any movement. If you want to adjust the strap to a snug fit for more support, it just pulls loose again. My fellow riders - I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE BOOTS..... NO WAY they are staying on in a crash. Pretty much the same protection as sneakers in my opinion. Also, the sizing is way off -they run really big. Sorry Comp. Acc. - your site is aces and I love your stuff, but these are losers and I don't think they are really safe. They are going back and I'm sticking with a real riding boot just my 2 cents.
