Sliders Quest 4 Riding Pants - deutsch rider GA
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: protection, comfort, warmth, great product for the price
Cons: [None]
I purchased these pants for winter riding in low temps. I have not been disappointed. I have found that I only need the thermal liner in when the temps are below 45f. The vents are well placed and provide adequate ventilation when necessary. The armor is very well placed and knee armor can be adjusted if needed. The 23 length side leg zippers make these pants, along with the liner, easy to put on and take off. The reflective piping and panels work very well at night. In regards to the sizing, the pants were fine, but I had to return for an exchange in size due to the thermal liner. But that was no problem. Competition Accessories has the best customer service I have ever dealt with Thanks CA for a great product

Pros: Nicely made, great price, multi-season pants
Cons: Heavy, not for summer riding
When I watched the CompAcc video for these great demos, btw, I was impressed by the quality they seemed to have. Once I actually got them, I was really impressed, esp. for the price These are every bit as nice as my Fieldsheer's that I had years ago, and they were almost 3 times as expensive. The only negative about them, and it's not really a negative when you think about it, is that they are much too heavy for real summer riding. Maybe for a long trip in the summer months but certainly not for around town during that time. Highly recommend these for the rest of the year though.

Pros: Really nice pants for the money
Cons: leg zipper could be a little longer
These pants are a real value. I had similar pant from a well know mfg. and the leg zippers both came apart in a short time. They were the size of zipper you would find on pockets. So that was the 1st thing I looked at with these pants. All the zippers are as heavy duty as I have seen. They fit like a regular pant so you don't need to wear jeans under them. They fit snug enough that you won't get surplus folds you sit on that make your butt hurt. There is an extension on the back to reduce plumber's crack. The insulated liner isn't too thick, which makes it more practical for motorcycle riding conditions. I've had 2 pair of mesh pants from other mfg. and these are the most comfortable. I've ridden with them in a rain storm at 37 degrees and was comfortable. The only thing I would like to see changed is the leg zippers stop about 6 short of the bottom and then velcro keeps them closed to the bottom. I would like zippers all the way down. That is a small complaint when I consider I have paid 100 more for a similar pant that wasn't near as good.

Pros: Super quality, better than expected. Nice fit, easyon off
Cons: sizing - runs small
Overall, great pants Love then. Took a while to get the correct size. As a reference point, I'm just over 6' tall, 205lbs. Going by the Sizing Chart, I ordered a Reg - Tall as I will use as both pants & opverpants, which if I only wore this size as stand alone pants would OK, but as over pants, no way could I use them, with even thin pants. So, I ordered a XL - Tall, these were too long & baggy. Finally got it right with XL - Reg - perfect fit as either stand alone or overpants. Return department at Comp ACC was superb Processed return, credit & exhange staight away. Received credit to my CC in 2 days, and correct pants mailed in less that 5 days. Kudos Their claims of easy, no hassle returns, refunds & exhanges is spot on. Buy with confidence

Pros: Good for cold weather, Good protection
Cons: A little heavy.
This pants are good for winter weather riding. They have keep me warm in lower 40 - upper 30 degree temps. Have not been in the rain yet but they look like they would keep out the water. They are a little heavy, but once on the bike I can't tell. With pads on the hips and rear and armor in the knees, these pants look like they would keep me protected in a crash. Easy on and off with the zippered legs. They may be to warm for summer riding, even with the liner out. Don't think they are good all season pants. Only good for Fall, Winter, and Spring. I will highly recommend these pants. For me, the sizing is correct.
Protection - Stinger OH

Pros: Sliders offer comfort and very good protection also visabel piping .
Cons: Some may find them hot for summer or location where you live.
I really feel these are great . I took them out in 35 degres and and felt warm. I did not have a opportunity to try them in hot weather . If you want protection it's there . Maybe warm in hot climits I have 2 pants , summer and winter .

Pros: Great fit and superb overall quality.

I'm thankful that I was able to purchase this riding pants. I appreciate the superb manufacturing process in making this item. I also like the silver color due to the heat here in Texas. I can't speak for its waterproof qualities yet. Regardless, I'm very happy with my purchase and thank you Competition Accessories for the great service again, and for making this product available.

Pros: Well made with lots of heavy materal and armor.
Cons: Not sure this is a Con but these pants are heavy.
I've very pleased with these pants. It's surprising that the price is so low. They have lots of features and are great riding pants. I doubt I'll be wearing them on hot summer days but other than that these are my favorite riding pants.
Slider Quest 4 Pants - Tucker

Pros: Very Warm Love the size availability, good placement with armor, very comfortable
Cons: Can be a little too warm as overpant
These pants are a great buy I wear them as an over pant and they work well. I could also wear them without jeans underneath. I live in Denver Colorado and wore them yesterday as an over pant in 29 degree weather with lightly falling snow. They were very warm even without the liner. The vents I think would work well on naked bikes but with my adventure tour bike, the bike protects too well where the vents are so they do not work with my particular bike. I have not yet tried wearing just the pants yet. I will try when weather gets warmer or I go on a long ride. They seem to be very waterproof in the snow and melted snow on roads but no rain storm yet.

Pros: Kevlar, Vents, Warm liner
Cons: [None]
Overall these are the best 140 I have spent on motorcycle gear in a long time.. Money is a little tighter so when I had to replace my Goretex pants I needed to look for a less expensive option for commuting to work and long weekend rides. I looked at these, called with questions and looked around A LOT.. after deciding they looked good and were priced right, I decided I might as well try them. No restock if I decided to return them .They came in 2 months and 3,000 miles ago and I love them. the pants have a mesh lining and then a thick thermal lining for when it is cold. The sizing was generous enough to handle my winter weight changes damn holidays . I have even had the luck to try them in 70 degree weather and without the thermal liner they do great...

Pros: Fit, Comfort, Price
Cons: None
I wear a 32 waist, 30 inseam. I ordered the 34 waist on purpose in short length. They are slightly large in the waist which the adjustable waistband takes care of. Length is perfect. With the liner in, I started to sweat a little in 70 degree CA weather. Remove the liner and I can wear shorts or jeans underneath and easily strip the Sliders off for comfortable walking around in. With the liner in, I would recommend wearing compression tights underneath. The pants have ample protection in knee and hip, Kevlar reinforced and just feel like you are protected. Plenty of air vents for the warmer days. Very happy with this purchase.

Pros: nice fit, comfortable, great protection, waterproof
Cons: too hot for Florida summers
I just bought these Sliders Quest 4 pants and have only ridden with them twice but so far they are really nice pants. I'm 5' 11 with a 33' waist and weigh 195 lbs and am in pretty decent shape. I bought a size medium and they fit perfect. I went on a 400 mile ride last weekend and the pants were very comfortable. It rained for about 40 minutes and I stayed completely dry once I closed the air vents. the outside temp was in the mid 80's and with the leg vents open I stayed comfortable and didn't over heat. I did not have the liners in the pants and I do not wear anything under the Quest 4 pants except underwear. They will probably be too hot to wear during the summer here in Florida even without the liners, but most good protection pants are.

I replaced by tourmaster venture pants because of the protection these offer. Sizing is spot on and they are plenty warm enough for sub 40 degree mornings..I am really happy the purchase of these sliders kevlar pants and will recommend to my riding group.

Cons: Cold weather preferred, especially if the ride is strenuous.
The CE padding adjustment is a neat idea. They fit nicely and look good.
trouble with fit, but otherwise good - DK
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: good protection, keeps me warm
Cons: fit is off from spec sizing
I wear a 38 jean so I went with the Large thinking I can squeeze in, but I could not at all, so I had to go up to the XL. Even the XL won't work after a big meal. I guess I can stand to lose some pounds in the waist. The return was easy and they even did a cross ship. But you have to pay for return shipping obviously and they will take off the shipping from the first shipment so it actually costs 20. Not bad, but not willing to do it again. Plus, I don't want to go to XXL.Other than that, I like it. I definitely feel more protected wearing these. I've worn it with the liner and without and it is pretty comfortable. The knee pads give me a little more padding on the tank, but once I got used to it, it was fine. They look like they will withstand some water, so I'm hoping that is the case. They are pretty heavy so Im not sure how well they will work in the summer, but I have a naked, so that may help.
Heavy duty Quest 4 pants - T. Nguyen CA

Pros: Very warm and comfortable
Cons: Size runs small
I bought these pants to match the Sliders Quest 4 Kevlar Jacket. I first bought my regular size of XL since I'm a size 38. I had to return them because they were too small. Even without any jeans on, I could not zip or button up the pants at all. Once I returned and received the 2XL, they fit great even with a pair of jeans on. Very comfortable pants and keeps me warm in low-mid 40's riding weather so far. I really like the kevlar protection, the Phoslite reflective piping located all in the rights places and the CE approved knee armor with 3 position height adjustments. Great bargain and great quality pants.
Good gear, poorly sized - GS Rob NC
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Build quality and design
Cons: Are you calling me fat
These are fine pants, and a good deal for the price of 135 that I paid. The armor pads in the knees and hips are protective, but not overly stiff. The word Sliders is rather obtrusively embroidered just below the waist snap, but it's not too noticeable once you're all geared up.However, I object to the sizing. For the past ten years, I've worn a size 40 waist. Not real proud of it, but it's me. So I ordered the XL size, which said it fit 38 to 40. They like to cut me in half. I'd say more like a 36. So I returned them and, gritting my teeth, ordered the XXL size, 40 to 42. Even they are snug. I'm not gaining weight, in fact I'm about 5 pound lighter than last year. All my 40 pants are currently roomy. These riding pants are just mis-sized. And that sort of works on your head, you know Who needs an editorial comment from a pair of pants

Pros: Warm,good protection
Cons: Hard to get on and off with boots and liner
I tried these for the first time today in 22 degree weather. I had ordered a medium which is 32 - 34. I normally wear 32 and they fit fine, but I wanted to wear them as overpants, I sent them back and exchange for a large was no problem.. The fit fine, but with the liner in, they are difficult to get over my boots. I had to take boots off to get them off. Once on they seem bulky, but I guess with 3 pair of pants, they would. I went about 15 miles at speeds up to 70 and didn't get cold at all. The only thing I could ask for is longer zippers or maybe full length zippers so I can get them ove my boots. Other than that they are great pants for the price.

Pros: Warm, construction, knee pad position
Cons: not for women
I swore I'd never wear men's gear, then after going down, I swore leather only - no more swearing. Leather pants are not good for commuting. Women's gear choices are limited and never a good sale. after watching the video and reading reviews especially the one that said no damage after meeting the pavement at 45 mph, i decided for the price, it couldn't hurt. Any equivalent for women would be an extra 200.First impression - heavy and very stiff. stiffness gone after 2nd ride and does not feel heavy when riding. Fit smalllong 5'8 - perfect length, knee armor where it should be and comfortable on both adventour and sportbike. Upper pants - not such a good fit and still too big, but plan on using them for overpants and they are mens, so I don't expect them to fit well. They are confidence inspiring - definitely not worried avout losing skin.1st ride - mountains and 26 degrees and snow, 2nd ride 40 degrees on a sportbike. UA winter gear base layer and the pant's quilted insulation. My legs didn't even get chilled - makes me think about getting the jacket - if there was a women's version hint, hint. The vents dont look like they'd do much in our hothumid summers, but so far wonderful for winter riding.
Tough pants.... - Jay WI
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Low price, heavy materials, good protection
Cons: Sizing is tricky, not for warm weather
These are well constructed pants. I was immediately impressed with the quality of the materials and the details of these pants. I feel much better protected with these on given the knee protection and good hip coverage. They are made of pretty heavy material, I believe they will stand up to a high degree of abuse. If you're slim in build....they should be fine. I have a beer gut....and I found I had to move a size up to accomodate my work of art I call a belly. For the price, these are a very good buy. Very affordable compared to some of the other brands. Very nice pants.
Water Proof - AIRHEAD KING

Pros: Good fit Workmanship looks good
Cons: Condensation problems, Leaks without liner,
I tested these Quest 4 pants, which I received free form Comp Accs because of the review I wrote on a previous modal of these same pants. My opinion is largely unchanged. They have a real condensation problem. Sweat does not wick out of the garment. In 50 degree weather I was cold and wet with in 20 minutes. I figured the liner was the problem but without it I got cold. If you use long johns they work well. But since the liner is crucial to the pants being water proof it hardly makes sense. I would not trust this garment on a long ride. Save your money and get Goretex gear. These pants don't hold a candle to my Katmandus.
