Exceeded my expectations - Orwelle UT
I really like my pair of Sliders blue denim jeans. I bought them because they are a very useful step between just jeans and full on riding pants. It's true that they run big. I wear a size 34-31 in my Costco jeans and I ordered 32-32 in the Sliders. PERFECT, even after washing them. They are a bit long, but that's best for riding pants. They look great just as jeans. They are cut very generously through the legs. The denim seems heavier than normal. The Kevlar coverage is very good too. Quality of materials and construction is high. These are well worth the price to me. There are nylon pockets sewn into the knees for armor. I have some CE approved knee armor that looks identical and fits well. It is easily adjustable to position the armor at the correct height for different knees. Because of the loose fit of the pantlegs, the armor is of questionable effectiveness. It could easily rotate away to either side leaving the knees unprotected. Still, it's there if you want it. I almost always wear hard kneeshin protectors and the cut of the pants allows even my largest pair Thor Force knee brace to fit easily underneath. The Kevlar is a bit scratchy. I recommend these pants as a great pair of riding jeans.

got the Slider 3.0 last year after a fall on my bike. After I saw what happens to leather when you slide for 30 feet, I decided my regular Jeans were just not going to do the trick it it happens again. I bought these, and love them. They are comfortable, a little baggy, but since they are recommended to be worn with armor underneath, I can understand the reason for the loose fit. I ride in Texas year round, and so far have no problem with heat, there is not so much fabric that they are overly warm. Yet they did block some of the cold on the cooler days, so I didn't have to wear my chaps near as often. I'm slowly working on replacing all my jeans with sliders. I don't want to have to plan ahead on whether or not I will ride. If all my Jeans are Kevlar, then it doesn't matter. I recently ordered my second pair, this time the 4.0 and I'm waiting on them to come in. When they do, I'll probably order the third pair. I did order this second pair a size smaller. Based on on how they fit when they get here, will determine what size I get for next time

Great Jeans.. Love them.

Love the jeans, denim is thick yet soft. I will say, then do run a little on the large side 1/2 a size , but that works for me. armor is a great option, especially compared to other jeans with no armor for 40 more..

Good jeans, good coverage, great pricing.

Good jeans. especially for the money.. the do run large. based on reviews I ordered up a size and they are a good fit. I would say if you like baggy jeans, then order normal and use a belt. If you usually have tighter jeans, then order down a size.

I highly recommend these Kevlar motorcycle jeans. I have 3 pairs now.. 2 of them are the 4.0 with armor.. About 2 weeks ago I low sided in a turn when avoiding a car driving over center. I slid on my hip and can for about 40-50 feet..
I could not believe that the jeans held up great and no road rash.. thankfully .. The denim in one spot was worn through, but luckily the kevlar was there..
I just bought 2 more pairs.. Great, Great, Great product...

All i have to say is perfect fit. I'm an athletic 6'4, 280 so i'm kinda muscular everywhere, I ordered a 40w/36L. I would have ordered a 38W but my thighs would be an issue. Geez, they even make my butt look good. I'm going to order a second pair now, bye......

I had the Sliders khakis, but held off on the 3.0 jeans since there were no knee pads. Bought the 4.0 with the pads and couldn't be more pleased! I played a gig for a 2nd Harvest biker fundraiser in TN; the jeans rode well on the bike and the protection gave me great peace of mind. They were completely comfortable for an entire day's riding as well as being on stage performing. A great investment!

Sizing Help: I bought a size 36x32, because more of my dress pants are this size. However, these jeans obviously run on the large side, so I had to exchange for a size 34x32. I was hoping to get the right size the 1st time, but I guess not. My wife pointed out it is just like when I go to the store for pants. I can try on 10 pairs and maybe only like the way 4-5 fit.
About the jeans: These Kevlar Jeans do have a lot of Kevlar. Also the pockets for the armor are great. I just had to use the higher of 3 spots to get the armor in the right spot. I feel much better using these than just normal jeans for sure.
Overall. I absolutely recommend this product. I just suggest maybe going down a size if you are unsure
Hope this helps..

These are very nice jeans. I have 3 other pairs of sliders, but none had the knee armor, so when these came out I jumped on them. The armor for me works best in the middle of the 3 positions. The Denim on these sliders jeans seems to be good quality they say 13.5 oz and the jeans are a little darker in color than the previous versions, which is good. I like the new cut.. I personally can really tell when I get on the bike that they have added some material to the top, which is an improvement. I am a 36.x32 and these fit good just like the other pairs. However, they are a little larger in the waist not much , but that changed once I washed them a couple times. Sorry have not had to test them in a crash, so I can not comment on the protection. I recommend to anyone looking for jeans to ride in..

I've owned a pair of the Sliders Khaki style pants for a couple years and love them; very comfortable. I lost some weight so I decided to order a couple pairs of jeans this time. Ordered a size 32/32 based on a few reviews that say they run a size large I wear 33/34 but they actually run a lot more than that. When I put them on they were like slipping into a circus tent! I measured them out to a size 36 so remember to order at least two sizes under your normal with jeans. The cargo/khaki style is about one size off. I called and they were very nice about an exchange offering to measure out a pair when they resend them.
The only complaint I have about the new 4.0 is that the armor pockets in the knee area are a bit scratchy/irritating and if you live in really warm climates like I do in Las Vegas the Kevlar lining is a bit warm... but I'll take warm over road rash any day.

I just received my Slider 4.0 jeans after having returned the originally ordered pair because they were too large. I normally wear a 32 x 32 but had to exchange for the 30 x 32s. 5' 10", 180 lbs The fit on these is still a little loose but comfortable... a very relaxed fit. Remember these are for function / safety and not so much for fashion. Leg length is a tad longer than most of my regular jeans but that's good for sit down riding position. Double belt loops in the back middle position to distribute belt pull ...a good thing. The front pockets could be a tad deeper and maybe that's because these jeans have a slash pocket opening lower than most jeans but now I'm nit picking. Overall I'm pleased with them and look forward to wearing them on an upcoming ride this weekend. I'll hold back on a five star rating until I've tried them and washed them a few times.
the run HUGE
I usually wear a 33 waist in jeans. I bought a 32 and they are enormous. Way too big to even sinch with a belt. I guess I'll have to return for a 30, which is rediculous. The denim isn't quite as thick as my Draggin' Jeans, but the Kevlar coverage is just as good, if not a smidge better. It's hard to judge the overall fit since I felt like a child in men's clothing when I tried them on. They seem to have wide legs, so it's more of a relaxed than a classic fit. But then again, everything about them is huge. They're longer than expected as well.

I have been owning Kevlar jeans for more than ten years now and I really like them. The sliders are great but I don't like the pockets for the armor, they make the jeans less comfortable. If I want better protection I would buy 'real' motorcycle pants. Sliders were supposed to be a compromise more towards comfort. I liked the 3.0 much better.

Bought the 4.0 with knee armor. I'm normally a 33/32, so I purchased a 32/32 and the fit is excellent. Knee armor in the lowest setting puts it in the correct place when riding the bike. There are some minor issues with stitching. Some parts of the jeans are stitched at a odd angle, like the flap that covers the zipper. The mfg didn't quite sew it on straight. Minor annoyances. The kevlar panels are very large on the jeans, but it looks like they're not covered with cotton, so the kevlar material is in direct contact with your skin. It hasn't been a problem for me, but the kevlar material is definitely rougher than denim would be. The kevlar material also flows less air than regular denim, which is a good thing on the bike, but not so great when you're sitting in a office all day as they get hot. Definitely flows more air than leather though.
The jeans themselves look good and the cut itself works quite well. The cut is a loose fit type, less than baggy jeans that I'm used to. Knee armor doesn't really protrude much and you can't really tell that you're wearing it when standing up due to the loose fit of the jeans.

Nice pair of riding jeans. I installed a set of knee pads and the pants fit great at a waist size 30. The waist fit well, but I found the legs a bit baggy and wished they were cut tighter. I may have them altered.
Great pants with the exception of the bagginess.

I'll start by saying these are very good pants. Comfortable, and a good cut once you get the right size. As many have said, they do run VERY large. I purchased the same size as my previous Sliders and they all but fall off and are a baggy mess. Went down a size and they fit very good, maybe just a tad snug, but comfortable. I appreciate the straight cut legs and room they provide vs. some of the other "skin tight" cut that other brands have. The lining gives a moderate sense of protection and the addition of the armor pocket is why I picked up these when I already have some other pairs of Sliders.
What stops them from being great pants The knee pockets are too small for armor that would offer maximum protection and they seem to be aligned so the armor sits towards the inside of the leg/knee. Would like to see larger pockets for full knee/shin protection. Despite the description of having more belt loops, I count the same number on these new ones as my old sliders. Lastly, and perhaps more importantly, while they do offer comparable level of kevlar protection to similar pants on the market, I would like to see more coverage including behind the knee and calf. Hopefully we will see a slightly higher priced Slider jean in the future with more kevlar coverage.

Like many here note, they run a little big. Kevlar gets pretty toasty on a hot day, so , beware if you're prone to "swamp a".
Sliders needs to fine tune the armor pockets a bit. It's nearly impossible to adjust them while worn, so make sure you site on the bike, and tweak the positioning before you get rolling.
I would recommend to sliders that they flip the velcro on the knee pockets around so the pile is on the denim side and the loop is on the pocket side. That way when they aren't perfectly aligned and they wont be the loop won't scour ones knees.
Overall, good bang for the buck.

Darker denim, improved cut, and sturdier, metal button all pluses over the Slider 3.0 jeans of which I also have a few pairs. Just like the 3.0s, they are sized large in the waist--not a problem if you know before you order.
On the other hand, the knee armor is a bit of a disappointment. The loose cut of the jeans means the armor is free to "float" around side to side, and I don't see it staying in place to protect the knee in the event of a crash. Further, the pockets for the armor are offset more towards the inside of the pant leg, rather than the more desired location biased towards the outside of the pant leg, which is the prime/likely impact area in a crash. Consequently, when riding my sportbike, the armor is uncomfortably/annoyingly situated between my knees and the tank. It's not such a problem when riding one of my standard bikes, but, even then, the armor must be raised/lowered when switching from standard to sport bike and vice versa.
All in all, worth the extra money versus the 3.0 Sliders, but I think the armor pads will stay in the drawer; they just offer more trouble than they do functional protection. Hopefully, they'll improve the armor pockets for the 5.0 Sliders.

Good protection but are a little warm on the backside !
I added elbow pads from an old jacket because the knee pads I had were to small and shifted around too much .

these jeans are very high quality and I love the idea that you can put armor into them for extra protection. I ordered the 4.0 version specifically for that purpose.
The only complaint I have is similar to other people, these jeans are HUGE. I have worn a 36/32 for all of my adult life. My normal jeans are Levis and fit great. Sliders are the correct length, but the waist is huge. I am returning them and getting a 34/32 to see if they fit better. I would recommend starting with a size smaller than you normally would order.
Otherwise a great product and great service for Compacc.com

These are very comfortable fitting jeans. They fit a little big, but it's a relaxed cut so it's not bad. The Kevlar is stitched in very well and looks like it could take some serious abuse. The 4.0 version comes with pockets for optional knee pads which is a nice touch instead of having to keep them in place with Velcro or something.
My only complaint is that the knee pads seem a little skewed. They're not quite in line with my leg, but that might just be my leg.

Purchased 34W/32L. They do run Large. Unwashed the waist measures 18" across and the inseam from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg measure 33" . The rise from the crotch seam to the waistband measures 13". The belt loops are 2" behind the "out-seam" and the out-seam from the waistband to the leg cuff is 44".Compared to Levis 501 34/32 washed many times, the waistband is 16", the inseam is 31" and the rise is 12". The belt loops are exactly at the out-seam and the out-seam measures 40". The denim on the 501 is thicker and sturdier with a tougher feeling "hand" No Kevlar though I will try to re-post the shrinkage of the sliders once I wash/dry them. I may change my rating at that time. Hope this helps anyone deciding what size to order

Pros: lots of kevlar, look decent
Cons: uncomfortable
First off these are cut HUGE, order a size down on waist and length. My main complaint is with the knee armor. In order to have it in the right place when you ride, it has to be just below the knee, which makes it very annoying and uncomfortable to walk around. The Velcro and stitching on the pockets for the armor is a constant source of irritation while walking and riding. I plan on removing the pockets or having a thin cloth cover sewn over them.

Pros: Jeans appeared to be good quality
Cons: sizing is way off
I ordered 34 waist, 34 length......the pair I received was labelled as such, but wasn't even close.Much bigger in both waist and inseam.....sent them back for a refund.
