Chino Sliders - Son of the Hounds   WA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Light weight, cut well
Cons: CR knee armor pockets in knee allow armor to rotate partially

Great pants, pocket for knee armor allows it to turn partially sideways. I reset the armor and it is better, but still wants to hang slightly askew. Buy one size smaller waist. I am a 36 jean, bought 34 and they fit great. These Khaki chino sliders seem slightly shorter 12 than the same size in the jeans. I ordered 34 x 30 in both, jeans are right length, I'd order one size longer in khaki if I ordered again. They are fine standing, but seem to ride up further than the jeans when riding. One thing I really like is the lighter weight, hence cooler ride. They are more breathable that the jeans and the Khaki will become my warm weather wear. Customer service is great.

Pants - Dave-IL   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fits well
Cons: pricey

Nice riding pants that don't look like protective gear.

Nice Pants - Dave   IL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Fits well.
Cons: None

These are a little heavier than regular pants but they are meant for riding and to protect the rider. The fit was right on my jeans size. I washed them and they came out of the drier looking none the worse for wear. The best thing is that my co-workers couldn't tell that I was wearing protective gear.

Great commute pants - Stevil   WI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Durable, comfortable, great price
Cons: None

Lots of Kevlar, good sturdy construction, comfortable. Look fine for business casual. Knee armor pockets appear to have been redesigned, much more comfortable now. Had a problem with sizing, compacc got it fixed for me painlessly. Keep up the good work

kevlar pants - dhecpa   NJ Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: [None]
Cons: [None]

been wearing these pants for about a month now, and so far, so good. very comfortable

My favorite riding pants - JC in NC   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Durable, looks good on and off the bike, generous amounts of kevlar
Cons: Warm in the summer, little bulky around the waist

The Sliders Khaki 4.0 pants are an excellent blend of protective features, comfort, normal looks and great fit on and off the bike. I can still wear these pants into the office and not get any weird looks. The kevlar coverage is very generous as pointed out in the CompACC video. Although the knees have pockets for armor, I prefer to wear my kneeshin armor on the body since it shouldn't move as easily in an off. I fear the looseness of the pants would allow armor worn in the gear to shift unintentionally. The fit is loose, but not baggy and is definitely comfortable. I wear 36x32 pants comfortably and ordered the Khaki 4.0 in that size. I probably could have gotten away with a slightly longer inseam, but it works fine enough even in the riding position. This is a great riding pant for the money

Perfect for Work - TJ   NY Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfort, safe for work, easy to wear
Cons: They seem to run a bit small.

This is my second pair and I went up a size and they fit perfectly. Maybe I'm getting fatter Anyway, I can put these on like regular pants, commute to work on my Ducati ST3, work all day without anyone noticing I'm wearing motorcycle pants, and ride home that night without and discomfort. The perfect lowmid speed commuter pants for the business casual environment

Nice pants - CWG   RI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfortable, soft, good protection
Cons: Knee pads shift a bit

Made a huge difference riding with comfort. Jeans were never that comfortable on longer rides. These come broken in and very soft. Really liked riding in them and knowing that I had the kevlar should the shiny side not stay up. They look pretty close to regular khakis. Ordered the knee pads and thankfully CompAcc set up a video to show me how to install them, which finally made sense. They installed easily and feel a bit funny walking around with them in. On the bike, once they're adjusted, they're fine and it's nice to have that protection as well. These guys are great to do business with and responded promptly to my emails about putting the knee pads in.

Old School Cool - BCRedondo   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great alternative to geeked out acid wash denim riding pants. Very comfortable and better protection than standard khakis
Cons: Nothing - may seem a little baggy for some, but ends up being more comfortable...

These and a pair of Chucks for the low speed short hauls and you are all set Great alternative to the wanna-be Anarchy look if you aren't a real 1'er.... like 99 of us For the high speed or long haul freeway rides, you may want a little more substance to protect your limbs and vital parts, but these will do and are VERY comfortable They are lighter than denim for the cold days, but great for the warm ones Good Kevlar coverageI wear a smaller 34W x 32L in street pants, I got 32W x 32L for these they fit pefect... plenty of room in the waist and little longer for the legs when in riding position...

Khaki Kevlar - RRam   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well made out of quality materials. Nice soft cotton with plenty of kevlar panels to keep you safe.
Cons: None

I love these pants and have 2 pairs.

Another great product provided by Competition Accessories

Great pants - JMagna   NC Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Look great, very comfortable, good for all weather, good protection
Cons: Knee area could stand to be redesigned

I wanted some pants I could wear once I get off my ride without getting weird looks, and these pants fit in everywhere. I wear them to work, and nobody even notices and that's with the optional knee armor in as well. They are very comfortable to wear the khaki material is made from a very soft from the start type of fabric, and looks very durable. Stitching is good and heavy, and the kevlar is in all the right spots and doesn't add to bulk or make pants uncomfortable. It feels like you're wearing a slightly heavier duty pair of khakis, but that's the only difference. They stay warm in colder weather, but also breathe well when you're just sitting around. For sizing purposes, I would recommend finding a pair of relaxed fit jeans that fit over your boots and still are long enough when sitting on your bike. Order the same size waist and length as that. The only bad thing about these is that the knee area, which has a velcro pocket for the optional knee armor, doesn't work the best when putting the armor in. There are only about three positions you can put the armor in, so if you're in between one of those, then it won't fit perfectly and may bug you. But don't let that stop you from buying these pants, they are still comfortable with knee armor and don't look weird when using it.If you want sturdy, good looking pants, these are what you want.

Almost perfect - Jim H   TX Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Large in the seat and leg so fit over gear. MUCH better protection than regular jeans. Slightly cooler than sliders jeans.
Cons: Just a bit warmer than regular Khakis. Not wrinkle free.

I love my Khakis. I am a size 38 33 usually but I wear a 36 32 in these. I love that even when already wearing the Khakis, I can easily put on my wrap around shin and knee enduro guards under these clothes . I wear them all day and just add my gear when going for a ride.

Good for work and ride - Wrandom   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Well made, good riding fit
Cons: Can appear wrinkled

I wear mine several times a week and I've noticed that after a morning ride to work and a day at work, the pants are starting to sag around the knee seams. Probably a function of the kevlar underlining, but might not be appropriate for strict office dress codes. Functionally, they fit well on and off the bike. The knee pad velcro can be bothersome until you get it adjusted right. I have several pairs and will buy again.

Extremely pleased - CamGSA   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Super comfortable for all day riding, Good looking on and off the bike
Cons: None so far

I normally wear a 33x34 jean and decided on a 32x36 size based on previous reviews. I have to say the sizing was perfect and that these are my new favorite pants - both on and off the bike. I ordered them on Monday, received on Thursday, then left on a weekend trip to Big Bend on Friday. I essentially wore these pants from sunup to sundown for three days straight - with about 1000 miles of riding and several miles of light hiking in between. The weather varied from 50 deg and raining to 80 degrees and bright sunshine. I wore simple Frog Toggs over the pants with the bottom 4 to 6 inches exposed to the rain and, once it cleared up, the exposed portion of the pants dried very quickly. I even inadvertently sat on the mouthpiece of my CamelBak making a nice big wetspot on my hindquarters and I swear I didn't even notice it 5 minutes after realizing it happened. Not sure if the Kevlar provided the barrier or the pants dried that fast. The material feels like a heavy cotton similar to, but much softer than your favorite pair of Carhartts. I would easily recommend these pants to anyone looking for a durable, long wearing and very comfortable pair of pants to wear both on and off the bike. Five solid stars. Hopefully, I never get a chance to review them after an unplanned dismount.

Very pleased - Tom   MD Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: [None]
Cons: [None]

I just got my Skiders khakis and was very pleased with how they fit. Very comfortable, seem to be well made and fabric feels great. I usually wear a 38-waist so ordered a 36 and they fit perfectly. Should be great for wearing at work.

I wish they came in more colors - someguy   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: mostly look like normal pants, sturdy, wear like normal pants
Cons: not enough colors, not enough adjustments for knee armor

I've bought the Sliders jeans and cargo pants before and, liking them, tried these hoping for pants I could ride to work in when it's hot so I could avoid putting on shell pants. I wasn't disappointed, and if they came in more colors I'd buy more. The seam just above the knee makes them a bit casual for the office, but that largely depends on where you live and what kind of office it is. They work fine for me. They wear like normal, but heavy, pants so I don't have to spend all day uncomfortable feeling like I'm wearing ballistic material. I'd probably wear them on days I don't ride except I only have two pairs one in each color so I save them for riding days. What these really need is more velcro adjustments --particularly left-to-right ones the top-to-bottom ones being fine for the optional knee armor. The chinos hold better than the jeans, but I still have them slip left-right sometimes, which diminishes the value. Before I ask for a pony, I'd also like pleats to allow for a greater range of leg movement I have a big bike and the pants pull a little when I get on.

Comfortable Protection - Paul   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Very comfortable and warm on coolcold rides
Cons: Baggy looking and tend to have a lot of wrinkles after washing

I bought two pairs of these pants--one with the cargo pockets and one without. I ordered as close to my normal size as possible and they fit. Both are cut very generously and so they are somewhat baggy but they are very comfortable to wear. The Kevlar is like a thick pad that provides a cushioning effect and an insulating effect in cool or cold weather. After washing you get a lot of wrinkles because the large Kevlar pads are sewn into the inside of the pants and most of the wrinkles occur in the pants where the pads are sewn in. I do not mind that but I think some people would find that objectionable. I prefer the pair with cargo pockets because I can put things in them and get to them while I am on the bike without having to stand up to get my hands in the pockets and the flaps keep these items secure in the pockets. I have not put them to the test as far as safety is concerned but I think these large Kevlar pads in the seat, hips, and knees will provide a lot of protection. The pants feel somewhat bulky because of them but they are much more comfortable to wear than armor. I have yet to wear them in the warm months and they might be too warm because of all the padding but they are very comfortable in temperatures up to 80 degrees.

VA - Richard   VA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: nice quality, comfortable except for knee velcro
Cons: Really baggy on me, fit a little off

The overall fit was pretty good I normally wear a 38 or 40 by 32 length depending on the brand. I ordered a 38 x 32 and pre-wash they fit great. A bit long but will ride well once on the bike. If I have my riding boots on they are OK to walk around in but if I have my hiking boots on then O need to roll them up or I will be walking on them. I do not plan on wearing armor with them so the Velcro sleeve it fits in is uncomfortable and annoying but liveable. I may try to remove the sleeve at a later date but right now I will leave them. Also because the length is longer than normal even if I did put protection in the knee it seems that it would ride low when walking which would be annoying if you were trying to work in these pants. I guess you could always take the pants off and remove them once you get to your destination but...

Alternative to Bulky Riding Pants - Randy   TN Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Light
Cons: A little stiff,

I found my pants to fit good and be comfortable for riding and occasional walking. For extended walking, they are a little stiffer than jeans, and the lining rubs on bare skin.

Love these pants - Snoopy   MA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Comfort, fit, good amount of kevlar in the right places, price
Cons: feels too loose at times and I doubt the knee impact protection would stay in place when needed, but these are inserts and not tied to the knee anyway so they would move in any case.

I have had these pants for a month now, and I have to say I am loving these. I bought these pants for work and they fit right in with the semi formal attire at my work place. These are very comfortable even with the protection inserts. They are definitely heavier then regular pants but that is expected.I would buy another pair in a heartbeat, matter of fact I have

Nice pants - Urs1   MI Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: good quality, fits very good,
Cons: on warm days, very warm to hot

good buy, i loved and I feel more secure

Great, thick, but a little big - RebelRider   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warm, protective, comfortable
Cons: Large fit

I like these pants quite a bit, however they were much to large for me when I purchased them. I'm 5'9' 145 lbs, and I was swimming in them. I took them to my tailor and had them slimmed and shortened, now they fit much better. I feel much safer wearing them when riding, and the thick kevlar lining also helps keep out the chill on those early mornings. 1010 would buy again.

Good pants - Don D.   FL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Godd look
Cons: long on the inseam

I found the waist size to be true but the length of inseam was a little long. the length is manageable by cuffing or shortening slightly. The extra length does eliminate the ride up from pants with normal inseam length. Haven't used the pockets for insert yet but the adjustability looks like it will work well.

Great pants, Pants are sized larger and have no CV Knee protection - Brian Van   MA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: These pants have a less baggy look and provide good protection from road rash
Cons: The pants do not have the mesh inserts for CV armor to protect your knees

I have purchased the Sliders 4.0 jeans and the khaki pants. The Slider 4.0 khaki pants are less baggy and have a neat look to them. They still are not type of khaki pants like Dockers that you can wear during the day at work because they are loose in the legs. The khaki pants have lots of seams and show gathering along the edges which is normal because they are lined with DuPont Kevlar. The Kevlar is ample and does cover all the typical drag surfaces if you slide along the pavement. They are longer cut so they don't ride up when seated on your bike. I am 5'11 and weigh 205 lbs. I purchased the 34x30 tan khaki pants and they fit well. I would buy one size less than you are in your favorite khaki pants because they run large. They are still a little long but that's what you want when riding so they cover the boot and prevent air from flowing up the leg and flapping like a sail. I was surprised that the khaki pants lacked the adjustable inner mesh pockets for the CV knee pads the jeans have them. I figured that the Slider 4.0 jeans and khaki pants had the same protection. The jeans are definitely better protection because of the armor in the knees CV armor must be purchased separately. If you buy the jeans make sure you or your significant other does NOT dry the jeans in the dryer on high heat of the Velcro CV armor pockets will get fused together. My wife figured that they were like all my other jeans and ruined the CV pockets. I have ordered another pair of jeans and will make sure they are only washed by me and air dried to prevent damage. Another small point about the khaki pants is that the belt loops are small, therefore you cannot wear a wide belt. I like to wear a cartridge belt to make sure the riding pants stay up in the event I slide along the ground. You can only wear a narrow belt with the khaki pants, but the wide belt works great with the Slider 4.0 jeans. I hope I never need to test the Kevlar during a slide out, but it's worth the extra money for the protection they provide. A friend of mine in the Army slid out with denim jeans and had 3 layers of skin peeled off his hip and knee. Not pretty and it took a while to heal and a few skin grafts to fix the damage. Safe riding to you all. Wear the gear

Better than jeans - Eric L.   CA Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Warmth, fit, looks, deep pockets
Cons: Scratchy around the knees, shows grease

I have been wanting to get away from jeans for a while and these khaki sliders are just what I was looking for. They give a more retro look on my sidecar, especially tucked into my WWII era paratrooper boots and paired with my bomber jacket. I ordered the same size I wear in regular jeans and am glad I did not go down a size like many suggested--I felt better loose than tight, but what I got is a pair of pants that fit my 6' 235 lb. weightlifter's frame perfectly and are very comfortable save for a tendency of the stitching in the knee area to rub a bit. I plan on buying more and wish they came in a few more colors such as olive-green and brown.

Nice - clue   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Safety, Look like normal pants, kevlar,
Cons: weird cut

These pants are pretty nice. The overall cut is good. They pretty much look like normal khakis and I can get away with wearing these to work. My only gripe is the cut of the crotch. They make a pretty bulge and are not cut like reg pants. I have to ride them low on my waist to mask this. My buddy also had a pair of the jean version of these...and his two bits were proudly on display.

Sliders - Jessie   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: abrasion protection
Cons: [None]

I got these for my husband. He rides to work sometimes, and I feel better knowing he is wearing at least a little protection. I ordered his usual size, and they fit him. He has not worn them yet, still waiting for good riding weather.

Kevlar Khaki - Jessie   OH Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: abrasion protection
Cons: I wish they came in as many colors as the cargos.

I bought these for my husband for Christmas. He sometimes rides to work without protective gear. He will be able to wear these khakis to work, and they will offer him some abrasion protection during his commute. He has not worn them yet, the weather is still too cold, but he says he is pleased with the quality and that they are true to size.

Great for riding to work buy a larger size than you think - jqpubliq   Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Professional enough appearance, convenient, comfortable
Cons: Size runs small, knee armor pockets add bulk and show stitching

I followed earlier reviews and bought smaller than normal, which turned out to be a mistake. I wear a 36x33 in normal pants based on earlier reviews, I bought a pair of these in 34x34 for good measure. No question about it, I needed a 38x34. The additional length accommodates boots and a bent-knee position on the bike, but not so much that it's overlong when I'm at work. But the waist was way too small.I generally wear dark wool trousers and often suits to work, so these are certainly more casual than normal for me, but they work fine on a Friday when it's nice out.The knee armor pockets make them a little bulky through the legs. The seams show a little velcro where the pockets for the armor pads open, and you can see stitching where the pockets are held to the shell. Overall, though, they're passable for a business casual, polo-shirt type environment, and easily make the transition from a safe ride to wearing around the office so you don't need to change pants all the time.

Casual look with protection - Larry   AL Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Affordable, Good casual look
Cons: knee pad pocket uncomfortable

Just what I need. I can ride to work and keep these pants on. Great casual look pants for going out and about and still have the peace of mind with the kevlar. The area for the knee pads feel scratchy on my legs when walking around with them. As long as they perform, it is hard to beat the price and look.

get rid of internal velcro - tiger37373   Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: great look, can wear them to the office, love the kevlar protection
Cons: weird industrial velcro added to knee areas on new version

I bought the first versions of these pants and although they had some minor faults, they were pretty nice pants. This new version however has ultra irritating industrial velcro that will eat away at the skin on your knees. Once you cut the velcro out, they are once again great pants. If they want to have the option of putting armor in the knees, you need to have softer materials in there. Then I'd give 5 stars.

Quality Control Needs Improving - McGee   CO Recommended by Reviewer: No
Pros: Quality of materials
Cons: Inconsistent sizing, poor asembly of inner sleeves, knee pads don't fit properly

The price and features of the Sliders pants seems attractive at first glance. The biggest flaw with the Khaki 4.0 line is the incredibly inconsistent sizing that I experienced. After three different rounds of ordering pants to obtain a proper fit, I spent nearly as much in return shipping and insurance as the pants themselves. I can't really blame the Sliders brand for my choice to continue making returns CompAcc, but I've never seen so much variation in fit in a single product line. Without going into a lengthy narrative, I never was able to hit the jackpot of acceptable length and waist size in these pants. I finally ended up keeping the 3rd pair I ordered becuase I was sick of making and paying for returns and just figured I'd make do with the poor fit the 36 size actually fit comfortably as an overpant on top of regular jeans Unfortunately, having decided to keep these pants on this third attempt, I then discovered that one of the inner mesh sleeves which hold the knee pads in place was sewn in twisted. The CE pad on the left side cannot be placed where it covers my knee - instead it pulls 90 degrees to the inside where it gives great coverage to the inside of my leg, but nothing for my kneecap. No twisting of the mesh, repositioning the velcro, or adjustment will get that pad in the correct place. This is not due to operator error since the right side seems to work fine. Since this was not discovered until after the first ride, I gave up on attempting yet another return on these.Bottom line - due to the way these pants are assembled, it would take significant tailor alterations to correct the fit and address the misplaced mesh kneepad pockets making them reasonable enough to use. The only practical use these pants offer to me is the kevlar lining. I've had to go back to slip on knee pads for impact protection. If I wanted a pair of abrasion resistant overpants that required seperate knee protection I most certainly would have chosen something different. I think the Sliders concept of the khaki kevlar pant is great, but until I hear about better consistency in their sizing I'll never mail order the Sliders brand again.

Sliders 4.0 Kevlar Motorcycle Jeans Sizing Note: Please note these jeans run large and are a relaxed fit. So if you buy a 34 waist, the actual measurement will be about 1.5 to 2.5 inches larger ( 35.5" to 36.5" in this case ). This is fairly standard for relaxed or looser fit jeans like Levis 550 or similar styles. We recommend that you measure the waist of your current jeans to see what size would be the best fit. Especially on the smaller sizes you may want to consider ordering a size down if you want your jeans to me more fitted. We recommend reading the reviews to help with sizing.

We do not guarantee the fit of any garments. This is a guideline only to help with your selection

All Sliders are covered by a 1 year Manufacturer's Limited Warranty
