I purchased the sliders jacket after first ordering the FLY cool pro the cool pro ran small in size and lacked any extra protection against road rash in the impact areas although there is armor, the kevlar elbows and shoulders of the sliders jacket plus the Tall size option gave me reason enough to return the fly jacket, took the sliders carmel out for a ride today in 80 the armor stayed in place, the waist of the jacket did not ride up, the thing wieghs twice that of the fly I want mesh comfort just wanted some protection too I believe I got it in this jacket hanks comp crewgot it here in less than 2 days

I bought the Hi-Viz yellow, and WOW what a difference for people seeing me I live in an area in Palm Beach, FL where there's a LOT of retirees that should not be driving...and I've absolutely noticed a difference in them seeing me as opposed to when I wore my blue jacket.The padding and armor is excellent - doesn't move off your elbows, and is very lightweight and comfortable. The airflow is better than any mesh jacket I've had in the last 7 years, and trust me, in the hot Florida summer weather, I have not once been tempted to ride without this jacket. The rain liner is great - breathes but keeps the water out, and the winter second liner is very high quality. This is an all-year jacket for meThe price is amazing, and like others said it's much more than expected at this fantastic price.I would rate this 10 stars if I could...go get one

I also own the Sliders All-Season 2 Kevlar Mesh Jacket and pants as well, and absolutely love the jacket when riding my G650GS, but for the sportier riding position of my Suzuki SV650, it really bunches up at the waist. The Sliders Carmel Kevlar Mesh Jacket seemed to be a great solution to that issue, so I bought one in Hi-Viz Yellow. What a fantastic jacket It has all the features of the All-Season 2, but in a shorty jacket that fits great in a sport-bike riding position. Like the All-Season 2, it's just a bit too heavy to be a truly all-season jacket if you live in a really warm climate, but for most of the country, this is an amazing jacket for the money. Great armor protection although they no longer include a CE-rated back pad -- bummer, highly visible, especially in the hi-viz yellow, and overall a very comfortable jacket. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a 3.5 season jacket.

Concur with other reviewers that the jacket offers a good value mesh jacket for the price. I'm wearing it in the GA summertime - reasonably comfortable - certainly way better than either leather or solid fabric for this climate. I've been caught in the rain a few times so I appreciate the solid vice mesh pockets. Reflective piping and tabs are highly visible at night. I have not had any tearingseam issues with mine - it's standing up to daily wear just fine. Note that I have not laid the bike down and slid across the asphalt with this jacket - so can't comment on the protective aspects. Looks cool, too. I actually bought 2 more for my sons - and their feedback has been positive, with no weartearing issues either.

Bought this jacket because of the great price and the great options that comes with it. Kevlar in shoulders and elbows to include C.E. approved backpad. Initially received the jacket with a foam pad and not the CE backpad but fixed immediately thanks to Barron, Aaron, and Jarrod. Thank you guys

I bought the blue jacket to match my bike and the color is a perfect match.. I do not use the liners really, because I have a textile jacket and leather jacket for colder weather. My main reason was the styling and the kevlar. I figure it is much better than a normal mesh jacket. Any news on a women's jacket.. my wife would like one to match.. thanks Gary

Good jacket. Mesh has large holes and the liners actually work when it is cold in the evening. my only complaint is the liner attachments. But I just decided to put the liners on 1st when I need them and the jacket over the top. The liners are small enough to store in my tail bag, so that is where they stay when not in use. I did have a pull tab come off, but I was able to just reattach it. this also happened on my alpinestar jacket . Overall a great jacket and I am happy with my purchase.

I originally bought the jacket as a spare and for passengers, but have been using it as my regular jacket. It is comfortable, well padded and the air flow is great. Great jacket for the price. Only down side is the inner lining. It doesn't seem to fit right with the jacket. Without it, I live the jacket.

The Sliders Carmel is my first true motorcycle jacket, and I'm very happy with my purchase. Prior to this jacket, I was riding wearing a 'designer' leather jacket without armor. I ride a cruiser, so the leather was a natural fit, but as a still newer rider, I was concerned about the lack of armor. Also the leather was too hot the summer, so I wanted an all-year jacket. I spent a lot of time researching different brands and fabrics and price ranges. I won't mention any other brands, but I believe that the Carmel offers the best options of armor protection and fabric function. I got the hi-viz color, and after measuring myself, the small size jacket. The first thing that I noticed about the jacket was how bright it was and how heavy it was compared to my leather jacket. After wearing it on a few rides, the fit is very snug and almost as tight as my leather, but it has the benefit of armor and kevlar. The built quality is good and the mesh fabric seems to breathe very well, and I love all of the pockets and straps on it. My only negative is that the liners are a little too small, but the thermal does keep me warm, and I haven't tested the waterproof, but I don't doubt. I'm very happy with my purchase and I can't wait to ride with a little less worry this summer. Thank you

I purchased this jacket because of the better price compared to the tourmaster sonora. This jacket has ALOT of protection and as far as a protective jacket goes it is GREAT! I love the hi- viz yellow color. the jacket keeps me pretty warm in the cooler weather, but its still a pretty heavy jacket for the summer because of the armor and stuff. The jacket seems to be very tough and durable on the outside, However, the materials and stitching on the inside of the jacket is lousy. within the first 3 weeks or so I had both my wind liner, and the mesh on the inside of the jacket tear in the right shoulder area. The zipper pulls on all the zippers are lousy as well - they are very hard to grab with gloves on and they don't stay on the zippers well. Also, The liners are not very easy to put in and take out of the jacket in a hurry. This jacket is fine if you dont ride all that often, but for me riding 200 miles a week on average in addition to doing alot of touring on weekends.

Jacket is well made with much thought.....Good padding that stays put...maybe a little more air would flow without the pockets Or at least mesh pockets,this is a mesh jacket made to flow air!!!!Sleeve zippers and velcro is all together,one needs to be on the other side so as not to bunch when tightened....Good jacket for a fair price....its a good buy!!!!
