Just a suggestion for anyone wanting this to be waterproof or better resistant to water exposure: gently pop the case open and fill it with silicone or shoot it full of glue from a LOW temp hot glue gun. The silicone gives you longer work time and is easier to wipe off than the glue gun when it cools.
Mine got wet before I packed it full of a little of both glue and silicone and it did dry out and continues to work to this day.
The 25 that CompAcc is asking is about 10-15 less than I've seen it online elsewhere and in shops.

Have had this unit for about 6 months and it works great.

Just added this to my bike this summer after getting stuck on the road with an old battery that was slowly heading to the grave. Good little product. It adds that little needed peace of mind before a long trip.

I haven't mounted mine yet, but now that we know they aren't water-tight.....I think I'll try a clear plastic mailing tube to put it in.

This is a frustrating product because it could be SO much better if it were waterproof. It's a good clock. It's a great thermometer once you figure out where to mount the sensor; it's an OK voltmeter.
But it leaks like a sieve, and I've tried to waterproof it by running a silicone bead around the joint in the case. That kind of worked -- it held water IN, but didn't seem to keep much out.
I had one that I didn't try to waterproof that would fill up with water every time it rained, but would keep working and dry out in a couple of days. The last one, which I am replacing, filled up with water which wouldn't drain and that killed it.
I wish Show Chrome would go to the little extra trouble it would take to make this otherwise great accessory stay dry!

Thermometer never worked right. Always flickered or showed 88.8. Voltmeter was always about .5 volts low, no matter which circuit I connected to.
