Shoei Qwest Overt Product Details:
Shoei has developed a brand new, high grade shell design. Ventilation is integrated into the shell for a more streamlined look. The aerodynamically improved shape utilizes an air spoiler to reduce drag and lift, as well as diminish weight pressure on the neck, while riding at high speeds. All Shoei helmets undergo rigorous wind tunnel testing in developing a design that can withstand severe real world riding conditions.

Upper Air Intake Vent is positioned to maximize air volume into the helmet interior

Only had this helmet now for a couple of weeks, but used it nearly every day since then. I've had the Shoei Multi-tec for about 3 years and at least 50k miles in that one. The Multi-tec was the first brain bucket purchased, but since then I've had no less than 7 other brands to try as well. Now I finally realized that my head is definitely made solely for the Shoei helmet shape. Glad I went back. I wanted a full face, non modular helmet for hopefully a quieter ride and the reduced weight configuration. This Overt filled the bill on both accounts. The cheeks are a bit tight just like the Multi-tec was initially but I'm sure that with continued long riding, after 4 or 5000 miles in it; the Qwest too will be just as comfortable. What sold me on this color scheme was when I say the OVERT in a local dealership. WOW! The color scheme as well as the clear coat finish really Snaps, to put it mildly! I'm super consciensous about safety and this one looks so much better than just the plain "neon yellow" solids. It has the Safety factor, without the total "dweeb" look. Like I stated above, it is extremely light weight and rock solid to say the least. The only Con I have to say it that I'm having a bit of some confusion as to how to change out the cheek pads. I tried once but was afraid of pulling out on something that wasn't really meant to be torn away. Maybe a quick call to someone will remedy this situation. Great Helmet on a Happy Owner !!
