Shoei Brilliant Yellow Multitec - Tverb
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Hi Viz color. Ease of operation. Great price.
Cons: Chinbar a little too close.
For many years my helmet of choice has been Shoei. Owned several RFs. Riding buddies encouraged me to try Flip-Front modular. I am enjoying the option of being able to drinkeat without removing helmet. Should I mention spit The chinbar is a bit close for me, closer than in RF models. This has been remedied in the newer Neotec, which is much more expensive. Extra geegaws cost extra money. If you purchase a Multitec, be sure to add a tinted shield to your order. Great Online Price, and I was quoted an even better price by phoning C-A. Do it
It was the best of helmets, it was the worst - bisonwings KS

Pros: convience, face sield wpinlock, fitment, ventalation, weight,
Cons: loud, fogs badly wo pinlock,
I've owned this for a full year now and when I got it I loved it right out of the box. It was easy to put on and take off, had an improved shield over the Syncrotec, has great ventilation, good aerodynamics, no buffetting even at 3D speeds. The bad is the noise. I always wear ear plugs. I had the cheek pads out of the Multitec last week and grabbed an old Shoei full face that I hadn't worn for a couple of years. Wow, I remembered what it was like to ride with a quiet helmet. The Multitec is noisy, period.I've just bought a HJC RPHA Max in order to get a quieter, lighter helmet. So you might what to look around before buying the Multitec. It is still a great helmet or Shoei wouldn't still have it on the market. But there are better choices now for about he same money. However, if you can get a killer deal 150-250 bucks this would be a really good choice and a great deal. That's the short version. the other reviews are pretty close to spot on in their info IMO.
Well built, good loking but noisy - Martin

Pros: Well Made materials, large open sight picture, plush cumfy padding, looks cool
Cons: NOISY, noisy, NOISY, also have yet to find 31mm cheek pads.
Loudest helmet ever owned, wind noise above 60 mph almost unbearable, bought some mic headphones to do a non scientific comparison, almost 10 db 102db at 70mph ouch louder than my Vega Summit 3. Emailed Shoei, and was told I could pay to have it sent back to them, not the answer I would have liked to hear from Shoei considering the cost of the helmet. It's a shame because It looks perfect, very little drag, ok ventilation. Great in the rain with the pinlock visor and the included breath defletor virtually no foging. One of the best drop down visors I have used. Weight is light compared to some other modulars.Comapred noise to Schuberth C3, Vega Summit 3, Nolan 104.If you city ride and stay under 60mph great helmet, if you travelride on highways, Nolan 104 better value and significantly quieter.
