This is my third Shoei helmet, and they just keep getting better. The fit and finish of this helmet did not disappoint. I purchased a small white and black and my husband a medium black and white Wanderer. The white and black has a very nice finish, and is pearl like in the sun while the black one is a flat black but when in the sun has panels of finish that seem to glow a dark metallic green. We are very pleased with the looks.Now, on to the function. The helmet at first try seemed much tighter than my prior Shoei helmets of the same size however, after a few uses has already broken in and is getting more and more comfortable. Shoei put a little more padding around the base of the helmet and this is where it seems to be a bit more form fitting-but I assume also the source of the more quiet ride. I would still recommend that you order your normal Shoei helmet size and just be patient with break-in.The air vents are great, the best design ever. They are large and easy to use with gloves. As are the shield and sun-visor controls.The helmet I had prior to this was an RF-1100. Once I saw that this new GT helmet had a sun shade, I put my RF-1100 on Ebay and ordered this guy. The RF-1100 was a great helmet, but if you can trade up to this helmet you won't be disappointed. The sun shade is an awesome idea that I can't believe isn't more common in other helmets.All in all, these helmets are a bit on the pricy side-but the quality and the workmanship is 5 star. This is a great product, I would recommend.
