The Shark provides the Ultimate in Protection. The design is one that the others will try to duplicate. Now the inside sun visor could be just a tad longer and darker to completely cover the eyes and cut down on glare. Yes, it's a little bit costly but what price is too much to give your head as much protection as this Shark helmet does I have NEVER had a problem with opening or closing this helmet "One Hand Operation" even at high speeds. Slightly lift the front shield, push in the chin button pull forward and lift. This IS the helmet to buy without a doubt.

I completely agree with Steve E. on his assessment of the Shark Evoline modular. Most modular flips above and front of the helmet making it look and feel front heavy. The operation is tricky at first. But after reading the direction and a couple of practice, the chin guard slides forward after unlocking and glides to the rear effortlessly. I had Arai and Shoei helmets prior to this one. Shark took a different approach in designing this helmet, making a unique design enjoyable and safe at open and close configurations. My riding buddies immediately took notice and purchased their own. I purchased mine at a good price 325 from a dealership that was closing. I highly recommend this helmet.

It's like having two helmets in one. Open face for hot humid days or closed face for high speed riding on the open highway. I give it 4 out of 5 stars as venting could be better and it's a tad on the heavy side. Construction is solid and fit and finish is top of the line. Nothing looks cheap anywhere on this helmet. This is a good quality helmet.

The helmet does not operate as easily as claimed. The shields stick and have to be forced open. The shields also scratch easily. The sun shield could not be removed for cleaning. They claim that it can be opened with one hand. This is untrue. The lining is very abrasive on the forehead. Would return it but unfortunately discarded the box so I'm stuck with it. Also, if you purchase it, do so on-line and not in the store...it 40 more in the store. Would not recommend this helmet.
