Great Price and Features - D. Mead IN

Pros: Price, FM Radio, Easy Pairing
Cons: FM Setup
I installed the SMH5 FM in my Arai Signet Q and it performs well. The FM reception can be hit or miss in rural areas, but in those instances I just switch over to MP3's. FM Radio preset setup is a lot easier if done on the computer. While listening to the FM if you press scroll presets too fast it will take your single tap as a double tap and start scanning and resetting your presets. Also while listening to FM on a long trip I couldn't hear the turn by turn navigation from my phone. If listening to MP3's the turn by turn navigation talks over the music. When opening my helmet visor at stop lights on hot days it seems that 910 times my jacketshoulder hits the main button and the voice prompt comes on saying intercom failed. If I rode with others this could cause for some unwanted conversations. The Sena unit performs great overall. The price compared to other models with similar features is fantastic. I like having the ability to make phone calls while on my long commute. The sound quality is good for such a small speaker and really like having the capability of riding with some tunes instead of just hearing wind and the V-Twin.

Pros: Price, Ease of installation, and Performance
Cons: Menu is hard to remember , Speakers could be better
The SMH5fm is a fantastic unit, and you cant beat it for the money. The performance is very good and the intercom feature works great, interfaces well with my Ipod or phone depending on which I want to use the AD2P still a little quirky. The only down sides to the unit that I have seen are that the speakers aren't as nice as the ones with the SMH10 and the menu was hard to remember for certain features make yourself a cheat sheet at first. I highly recommend the Sena Products.
