This is second SOS priority light I have bought. Both of my bikes have this addition because I commute you can't go wrong with this.

Living in the Tampa Bay area, the land of the living dead or the young and the wreck less, I love the idea of getting any additional visual safety I can. Installed an older version on my 2013 Yamaha VFR 1300 and it works perfectly. Installed a new one on my '85 Honda 700 Interceptor that I keep in Winston-Salem. Works well except the brake light warning indicator on the dash is continually lit. Maybe I need a larger fuse to handle the continuous power going to the lights. The older version came off of the 85 and worked fine then. Maybe something has changed in the last 4 years.

Overall this does a really nice job at getting your bike more noticeable. I installed following the included wiring diagram. Static test - worked ok. Went for a road test. Turn signals quit working. I had both rear turn bulbs blown and 1 of 2 braketail bulbs blown, and signal fuse, and brake fuse blown. Put in new bulbs, and fuses. Replaced stock 5a fuse with 10a. Still that left the short to find. After testing and thinking about what to do, I cut the white wire. This is the wire that makes the turn signals brighten up when you apply brakes. Really don't need that. Now when the bike is on, the tail and turn bulbs are lit. And the turn bulbs function when needed. Road test ok. problem resolved. I think the short occured because of the factory wiring of the bike itself and not the SOS unit.. Late at night, when I am all alone, in the dark, this gives me peace of mind. A definite safety magin. I would recommend and buy again for my next bike.

Outstanding product! Works as described. This is the BEST place to buy cheapest. I bought one of these for my 1100 Vstar and my wifes 750 Virago. Now we both feel safer at night and during the day with the addition of the extra lights working as brake and running. Easy install takes about 1 hour if you take time to do a nice job.
